[6.0] "Very solid show with two fantastic matches with the Women's Iron Survivor Challenge and the NXT Tag team championship match. The men's Iron Survivor Challenge match had fun moments but ultimately didn't let everyone shine besides maybe two guys and the NXT underground match while being good is just a mess of a stipulation that needs to be fleshed out more. The worst aspect was just how mediocre the NXT championship match was and really shouldn't be the time to drop the ball. Still a good show nothing was egregiously bad besides the absurd amount of long drawn out Cody Rhodes and CM Punk video packages we got but that feels like a nitpick"

[9.0] "(8.8/10) I don't think the world really knows what was witnessed in December of 2024 (the Golden year, and perhaps Pro-Wrestling's greatest year), when NXT were called upon to give the fans the final ple of WWE's 2024. Boy, did this not disappoint. It was as if they were really saving their best for last. I think, years from now, 2024 will be lauded as the greatest year for WWE, and we could put on so many ples that would define the beautiful year for the Fed. The main roster was killing it on a monthly basis, but NXT weren't too far behind them. They had more to prove, and they truly delivered right as sun set for a marvelous run to bring business back to the top where it had not been for some time. I'd love to say that things only got better from here. At first, it did, but lately things have been kind of iffy. Let's see if the Pro-Wrestling Gods have a miracle in store for the sake of the Fed."

Thank GOD the women main evented over the title because that Trick Williams match was absolutely atrocious."

The Tag Title match was also very good as has come to be expected from the Axiom & Frazier team. The NXT Title match between Trick and Holland was on the weaker side - not bad, but just OK - and I haven't been huge on a lot of the worked MMA-type stuff that's been showing up in places like NXT and MLW lately on the heels of the success of the Bloodsport shows, so Vice vs Parker didn't do much for me. Still a very strong show on the back of the specialty matches it's built around and the tag match."

However, some matches were hitting for me such as Lola Vice vs. Jaida Parker in the NXT Underground match & Trick Vs. Ridge for the NXT Championship they were fine but can easily be skipped over IMO. The MOTN for me here were definitely the NXT Tag Team Championship match & The Women's Iron Survivor. While the Men's Iron Survivor was good as well it felt a bit flat at times for me compared to the Women's."

Both Iron Survivor matches were absolutely fantastic with two great winners in Oba Femi and Giulia, however every superstar put on a great show. The NXT Underground match was average but not great, the NXT Title match was terrible and it really ruined the pace the show was on. The tag title match was absolutely amazing and is honestly one of my favorite tag matches. Overall a solid show, just struggled a bit in the middle."

[5.0] "As the clock strikes midnight on Deadline and the 2024 calendar for WWE, I cannot help but feel we have ended the year on a bit of a bum note. There were glimmers of great wrestling in this event: both of the Iron Survivor Challenge matches were well-executed if a bit stop-start at times due to the format, and the tag team match was action-packed and my match of the night. The Underground match was a bit of a strange watch despite its fair-to-decent quality -- it felt very inauthentic with the nondescript people ringing around the canvas and banging on the ring surface -- perhaps the stipulation is just not to my taste. However, what was most certainly not to my taste was the NXT Championship match between Trick Williams and Ridge Holland. We lost Chase University for this match -- blatant errors, low workrate, and odd pacing buried this for me, and I hope WWE is happy with the payoff because I do not think many of us are. WWE Deadline caps off 2024 with a bit of a hurried NXT show that needed more time to mature as its talent does."

"The Iron Survivor Challenge match is one of the mos interesting and funny stipulations Ive seen in wrestling in the last years. Theres never a clear winner, and the last minute its a very thrilling moment. You can see anyone being pinned, like Ethan Page pinning Oba Femi, which helped to make Femis victory more interesting. In the mens match, the returning Oba Femi won. it was the right thing to do, hes improving a lot and he has to be the new NXT champion. HBK needs to be careful with his booking, as a dominant champion he could be boring as I think he isnt interesting enough in the ring for now. But theres still a lot of time. JeVon Evans is just amazing. The womens match was amazing, it was the right choice to have them as the main event. It was Giulia or Vaquer, an we have Giulia again as the titles contender. Its almost impossible to mess a rivalry between her and Rox, with also Vaquer included somehow, Im ready to enjoy it. The tag match was great, Fraxiom is the best team in world right now in my opinion, theyre just too superior to the rest of their division, so this storyline with them not understanding each other is great to make them interesting. Heights and Borne are improving a lot, and I see them taking the titles in the future. I barely paid attention to Ridge vs Trick, and Vice vs Parker was okay. A very good show."

Both Iron Survivor matches were great with the tag match in the middle being equally as fantastic. The womens main event certainly felt like the match of the night. 8/5/10"

The best match was the tag title match, a common theme for these shows. The low point, by a considerable distance, was Vice v Parker, while the NXT Title match indicated just how much they've contrived to cool Trick Williams off."

Lola Vice vs Jaida Parker: Wasnt a great use of the Underground stipulation, did not interest me that much and wasnt worthy of being on a PLE [*3/4]. Axiom & Nathan Frazer vs Myles Borne & Tavion Heights: Frazer gave a decent performance despite not being 100% due to being in the Iron Survivor Challenge match earlier on the PLE, NQCC had a decent outing in a match that was better than I thought it was going to be [***3/4]. Trick Williams vs Ridge Holland: An underwhelming match, not much happened that was PLE worthy, glad Williams won the match [**]. Giulia vs Sol Ruca vs Stephanie Vaquer vs Wren Sinclair vs Zaria: The better of the two Iron Survivor Challenge matches, all gave what they needed to and a bit more, Giulia winning was the right decision [****1/4]"

[8.0] "Another good show from NXT, and another show where I felt that the booking for the most part was so much better then the main roster. Survivor Series was MID. But Deadline was very good. A great opener with Oba Femi returning and dominating the field just like he should have done. Hopefully we'll soon see Ethan Page on the main roster but I also hope he sticks around for Stand & Deliver. Good opener and another stellar showing from Nathan Frazer. Wes Lee looks the part nowadays but they haven't given him much at all to work with since he went heel. He should get more of a look-in at the top as NXT's men's division is sorely lacking. Lola Vice then beat Jaida Parker in a good NXT underground match, both of these ladies have improved a lot this year and certainly make a case for being a Womens champion in 2025. Fraxiom vs NQCC was much better than I expected. Fraxiom are easily the greatest in-ring tag team in the world right now, constant bangers with developmental talent. Tavion Heights was really good in this match too, considering how he did over in his Japan excursion, I had hopes he would breakout in this match and that seems to be happening, he's amazing. Myles Borne is okay, but is also improving well, so it's very promising for the NQCC, shame that Dempsey isn't getting much of a look-in as he's brilliant too. Trick Williams Vs Ridge Holland was bad, but I expected it to be bad. Ridge Holland is just not a very good wrestler. I cant see why he gets the pushes that he does. Slow and boring, skip this match, as for a last note, it's probably the worst NXT Title matchup on a PLE... Ever? At least since Karrion Kross was the champion, that guy is only slightly better than Holland but for some reason everyone loved him on NXT? Finally the Womens Iron Survivor was also really good, maybe tied for match of the night with the Tag Team Title match. Wren played her role perfectly, Sol Ruca is literally the female Will Ospreay. Giulia was amazing but they did sort of dial it in with the confetti after the match. Stephanie Vaquer is literally a goddess & Zaria is a really good powerhouse, NXT's womens division is the best on the planet in my opinion, Literally future stars everywhere you look and only going to get stronger when Jordynne Grace is thrown in the mix. Kelani Jordan, Jaida Parker, Lola Vice, Roxanne Perez, Giulia, Steph Vaquer, Zaria amongst others all are future Womens champions on the main roster and it is always great to see them shining in NXT. Well done Shawn Michaels, you've booked another show better than HHH."

[8.0] "A good end for the PPV cycle for NXT imo. The Men's Iron Survivor served its purpose with the return of Oba Femi, and the action itself was good, all in all a good match. Jaida and Lola had a good Underground match, Fraxiom continuing to stake their claim as the Tag Team of the Year, while NQCC also getting a strong showing, especially for Tavion Heights after his excursion in NOAH. Trick vs Ridge was an abysmal match, and should be further reason why Ridge Holland should never get a main event push again, with Trick Williams trying his best as a 30 year old who's fairly young in the business to get something out of the 36 year old Ridge Holland who's been wrestling for years. The Women's Iron Survivor was great, with each participant's roles in the match being played great, as well as the ending stretch with the drama of Wren trying to tie the score up with everyone else, Giulia getting the winning fall, and Stephanie's attempt to tie Giulia at 2. Overall, a strong show, with a very weak NXT Title match that was the only thing hindering it from a better score. Men's IS - ***3/4, Jaida/Lola - ***1/4, Fraxiom/NQCC - ****1/4, Trick/Ridge - **, Women's IS - ****1/2."

"The show started very well with the men's iron match which was excellent. Then we finish masterfully with that of the women who offered a technical, powerful and high-flying performance. Between the 3 other matches, the quality was more fluctuating. Excellent, well contested and full of suspense for the Tag Team match, with a tag duo which confirms its superiority. More mixed on the Underground match, perhaps the stipulation itself was the problem, because the 2 fighters gave themselves. The downside even if it is not a disaster, the match for the NXT title which was not at the level of the other matches nor at the level of a defense of the major belt. Matches of varying quality, from very good to average. I rate the show 4/5."

[9.0] "Really excellent show in my opinion, not a single bad match on the card and worth watching for the Iron Survivor matches alone - the men's one was very good but the women's was absolutely stellar. Each of the women involved put in a fantastic performance, with the tease of Giulia vs Stephanie setting up some very significant things down the line and Wren Sinclair giving an excellent account of herself. Meanwhile Oba Femi continues his path to dominance with an NXT Championship run surely inevitable, the Tag Team title match was a banger (although the champs are getting a bit "Super Cena" now - can anybody beat them, ever? ). The Underground Match also delivered as always and the NXT Title match told a great story. 9/10."

Jaida vs Lola had an interesting match too, a decent Underground/MMA rules match. Womens Iron Survivor deservedly main evented and was MOTN. Though the MVP was definitely Nathan Frazer for pulling double duty"

The only dud from this PLE was the NXT Championship Match but besides that match all the other four matches delivered in their own way. Oba Femi gets a major win and now eyes the NXT Championship. Lola Vice spilts the series at 1-1 a piece now a pending third match might be upon us. Axiom & Nathan Frazer continue to show people why they're one of the best tag teams in the world today. Tavion Heights & Myles Borne had a breakout performance in a great showing by both men. Trick Williams continues to reign supreme. Giulia gets her moment and another shot at the WWE NXT Women's Championship. Very solid show and I'm happy that the right people won their matches."

The show was fun, the piped in noise was not. But one thing is undeniable, NXT has the most loyal and easily popped fans in wrestling history. The show ratings should absolutely come with a handicap. Another thing of note, this was the last PPV on the network and thats bittersweet. This was a decent send off for it. 7/10"

[6.0] "In the end, the PLE proved once again that this stipulation provides the opportunity for innovative and enjoyable matches, whether for women or men. The tag titles were proudly defended in what was probably the match of the evening. Unfortunately, the Underground match proved a little average in both intensity and interest, as did the title match, for reasons that had more to do with two rather uninteresting wrestlers, notably Holland. And this is all the more regrettable when it happens for the major men's title. Finally, the angles and segments were neither numerous nor very striking, but we'll remember Oba Femi's return and the little supense about his presence. There were also some interesting backstage sequences and some good pre-match presentation clips. This is always good for providing a bit of context for those who haven't followed the weeklies or have memory problems. Although there's still room for improvement. In-ring quality: 3.25/5. Angles and segments: 1/3. Bonus/Malus: None. Total: 6.25/10. Show seen on WWE Network."

"NXT Deadline 2024 was a solid event that showcased both highlights and areas for improvement. The Iron Survivor Challenges were the standout matches of the night. Oba Femi shone in the mens edition, positioning himself as the ideal next challenger to dethrone Trick Williams, who still feels green as a champion. In the womens match, Giulia excelled, solidifying herself as a credible contender for the womens title. Fraxiom retained their tag team titles in a match filled with internal tension between Nathan Frazer and Axiom. This dynamic of potential conflict added extra excitement, although it seems likely their eventual split will follow once they lose the titles. On the downside, the NXT Championship match between Trick Williams and Ridge Holland fell short. Both wrestlers displayed limitations in technical ability and storytelling, which affected the championships overall credibility. Meanwhile, the NXT Underground Match between Lola Vice and Jaida Parker was an interesting attempt to emulate Bloodsports style but lacked the intensity and realism of that format, ultimately falling a bit flat. Overall, Deadline laid a solid foundation for the future, with moments like Oba Femis return and Fraxioms consolidation as champions. However, it also highlighted areas needing improvement. It was an entertaining event that promises exciting stories leading into New Years Evil. What did you think of the show?"

[8.0] "WWE Deadline 2024 was a good show that usually doesn't disappoint. Iron Survivor was one of the coolest stipulations that WWE put on its schedule and made it very important and fun to watch. A solid show for the most part with only one match that was way below par. The show starts with the men's version of the stipulation, which was really cool. Oba as a surprise was great and necessary to elevate him to the main title right away. Je'Von steals the show with his spots and Ethan Page does a great performance as a cowardly heel. The underground match was the worst of the night, as I expected. This stipulation definitely doesn't work. If Fraxiom is on the card, it's sure to be a banger and probably MOTN. This time it was no different. The champions won again, but this time I really thought they would lose and Axiom would turn on Frazer. Even though they are my favorite tag team today, it's time to pull the trigger and make this blessed turn. The match for the main title was ok, nothing special and ME was good, but way overrated, Zaria and Sol Ruca were the ones who carried this match (Sol's finisher is one of the most beautiful I've ever seen in my life), Giulia did a good performance but nothing memorable for a winner, Sinclair was only in the match to take most of the pins and Vaquer was completely sidelined serving only to tease a future match against Giulia, very disappointing for someone who pinned the champion in the last special. Men's Iron Survivor (****), Lola vs. Jaida (**), Fraxiom vs. NQQC (****1/4), Trick vs. Ridge (***), Women's Iron Survivor (***1/2)."

"WWE NXT Deadline. December 7th 2024. Minneapolis. Minnesota. Such a good show. I loved the Opener, The Mens Iron Survivor Challange. I did not expect Oba Femi to be the substitute for Eddy Thorpe. I really love Ethan Page. I think he is maybe the best worker in NXT now. The NXT Underground match was pretty Awesome. I am positively surprised with Jaida Parker, I never thought that she could go out to be such a great worker. In my opinion the showstealer was the NXT Tag Team Championship match and I really think that Fraxiom can easly be the best Tag Team in WWE Right now (no disrispect for MCMG and for DIY). The Story around this match was so good and the Fraziers sell was perfect. I did not enjoy a lot the NXT Championship match. I think Pro Wrestling is not for Ridge Holland. He is in my humble opinion terrible. I am not saying that for critizicing the man and the worker I am sure he is doing the best he can, but really is work is not at the level for an NXT championship in my opinion. He botches most of the moves and the drama and the fluidity in his matches get lost by that. Main Event was good, not as good as the mens match in my opinion but I am really happy they are giving back a chance to Giulia to win the NXT Womens championship, correcting the wrongs they did in Chicago when they did not give her the title. Maybe 2 months ago it was too soon, but now is the perfect timing for that and to follow the hype around the beautiful madness and her arrival in NXT."

It stays in a simple good the fight of Jaida Parker vs. Lola Vice, because it was good but up to there, without highlighting much. The disappointment was the title fight of Trick vs. Ridge, it was not up to the truth. A good event the one of this edition of Deadline that settles and in what way the Iron Survivor that is a great stipulation and I like it a lot."

If the placement of the mens IS title match and the NXT title match on the card had been different, the event might have been more interesting. The tag team match was fantastic; a few times, I genuinely thought NQCC would win. The mens IS title match was solid, though once ObaFemi entered, it was predictable that hed win. The womens IS title match came last, and it was the best womens IS match yet. Each competitor had a genuine chance to win. None of them were noticeably weaker than the others. They all brought something special to the match, making it one to remember. The choice of Giulia as the winner was excellent, although, as I said, any of them could have taken it. I hope Beautiful Madness beats Roxanne at NYE, with Vaquer helping to prevent Cora Jade from interfering. That would set up their feud at S&D perfectly."

[8.0] "If there is a frontrunner for Booker of the Year 2024, I would honestly say that it's Shawn Michaels. And it's because, with this show, he's found the magic balance that NXT needs between experimental and developmental. NXT White and Gold has brought us back to where NXT truly excels, after HHH's attempt at creating a super-PWG (which I still liked, mind you) in the late-2010s got canned and the pendulum swung hard towards laughable super-sports-entertainment feel of 2.0; this era feels very much like early B&G, where you had indie veterans like KO and SZ rubbing shoulders with developing future stars like The Revival or the Horsewomen. NXT's stipulation matches like Iron Survivor and Underground also have that "shoot for the moon, because if you miss, you'll still be among the stars" feel, and are never not entertaining. Another good NXT show, putting the main roster to shame."

The audience isn't there, you can really feel it when you see the front rows facing the hard cam. Many crowd effect sound effects have been added. Despite that, they still popped for Trick Williams' arrival, Tiffany Stratton's arrival in a backstage segment and Giulia's victory in the Main Event. Lots of commercials between each match as usual but this time I really felt it. MOTN: Women's Iron Survivor Challenge (3*3/4)"

[7.0] "For a show that had 2 excellent matches, 1 very good match, and 1 solid match, a 7 feels a bit low. But Deadline also had some glaring issues. First and foremost, the crowd may have taken away from a couple of the matches. Unsure if it was the way the venue was mic'd up or if they were genuinely uninterested, but it was very noticeable watching on TV. What looked like an exciting and fun venue at the start slowly went limp after the first two entrances. And the competitors had to WORK to get them into the action. Secondly, the NXT title match encapsulated a lot of what is wrong in NXT at the moment, in their men's division. It is ROUGH. Hopefully the division gets a reset after tonight because there are much better directions it could be taken in at this point. This show was highlighted by the typical FrAxiom brilliance, a gutsy individual showing from Nathan Frazer and a banger of a main event. Hopefully the issues mentioned can be ironed out because I expect NXT to have a strong 2025 if they are."

The Iron Survivor match type is an interesting concept, like a less complicated king of the mountain match, but I was left wanting more from both matches- i think each match could have used 5 more minutes or one less participant. Each match has its share of impressive high flying moments, especially form Ja Von Evans and Sol Ruca, but they suffer from herky jerky pacing and three-way-itis. The title and tag matches were fine, and the underground match was as good as it could be for that kind of match. Aside from the matches, we get a really excellent pretape promo from Lexis King about his dad's death in Minneapolis. Ethan Page also has a decent promo after his match. The two Iron Survivor matches are worth watching; the 25 minutes they last goes by pretty quick, but I don't think you're missing much by skipping them."
