[6.0] "Much of this evening felt flat, and reps a DG adage: the strength of its heel faction correlates w/ the strength of its product. There isn’t one member of ‘Real Hazard’ who is a Main event player, and as such, the scope of many of the feuds feel smaller than this roster should be able to produce. The evening decently started out w/ the Kamikaze team taking out ‘Real Hazard. ’ W/ his bowl cut in the fashion of someone quite poor, and certainly not stylish, I wonder who turned the male doll Anthony W. Mori into this plainfaced grunt. Tanizaki hit his ‘Gin & Tonic’ finisher for a pinfall on K-Ness. Poor Super Shenlong was bullied by all, and his partner, Fuji, felt so disgusted by SS that after the match he chucked chairs onto the geek and refused to leave w/ him. The stablemates of Saito/Susumu attracted as much heat as the in-ring participants as, frankly, this era was the least impressive/interesting of Saito’s career as Ryo’s best as a wacky, varied goof, but here his personality was supressed under the guise of a not particularly charismatic stone-faced villain. Gamma put his gurgling gimmick to good use, washing off the powdered face of Susumu on his way to victory w/ the double underhook face plant. For my money, the grittiest match of the evening was surprisingly YAMATO/C Kong as the Iwate superstar put together a beauty of pace & selling the size/power of the brute while finding opportunities to hook on right-arm submissions. Y had a collapsed CK down by the S ropes when Kanda entered and hit Y w/ the dreaded blue box causing the other members of Kamikaze/Real Hazard to enter the ring."
