[5.0] "Not much of note on this Nitro besides nWo on commentary and the Sting stuff where he has a short match with Rick Stiener and then gives him the baseball bat and turn his back with Scott Stiener stopping him from swinging it. The mystery behind Sting's new character is really interesting as we're still not sure where he stands at this point. The problem with the matches are still here as most of them are lame jobber matches. Benoit vs Regal is probably the best one of the night, but most of the match is in a terrible wide shot like you're watching a taped house show match because of Regal getting busted open. Not exactly a bad Nitro but it is the type of episode where if you skipped it you miss nothing important, so it's disappointing."

[7.0] "Pretty fun episode thsi week. Rick Steiner is upset with Sting and calls him out, ending the show with a 1-minute fight between the two of them. Sting then hands Rick the baseball bat and turns his back on him, at which point Scott Steiner stops Rick from hitting him. He then points with the bat at the nWo and leaves. The rest of the show was short matches, with Malenko and Kidman having the best one, followed closely by Benoit and Regal. Great time in WCW."

Kevin Sullivan jobber match skip. Jarret got his win back over Bubba. After that it's all jobber matches until the main event. Crow Sting is awesome. Forgot Regal vs Benoit was match of the night."

[5.0] "Man the only match I was excited for, Benoits vs Regal and the motherfuckers had it on a wide and distant shot completely shitting on it. It was a competitive match where Regal even got busted the hard way. nWo on the commentary table wasnt bad but not great too with Bischoff saying 'that's great' a thousand times and being childishly obnoxious and not cool at all. Hall kills it though he is the best part of nWo. We had squashes again but we still get bits of Sting who is building his persona bit by bit, I assume fans at the time where curious. Next is Nitro at horseman territory."

[9.0] "An awesome episode of Nitro! The nWo taking over commentary in the second hour was quite fun, love the Bischoff character of this time and the Outsiders are beyond cool. The Sting "match" was fascinating, seeing how the crowd interpreted the story being told without words was great fun. Plus you get a banging little Benoit vs. Regal match, complete with weird camera work thanks to Regal getting bloody in the early going."

[5.0] "An uninspired episode of Nitro, but the second hour si better than the first with the nWo at the commentary, and the short Sting vs Rick Steiner that is more of an angle. There isn't much added for Starrcade '96 and the episode has a lot of short matches and squashes. Not spectacular but watchable. Good match between Regal and Benoit."
