[5.0] "As good as the Sting angle was, these Nitro episodes are just not very good with his absence and there's a severe lack of strong babyfaces at the moment besides Randy Savage, who had a great character moment where he looked heartbroken with Miss Elizabeth pleading to him. The nWo segment to end the show was standard stuff really besides the strong crowd reactions they was getting where this time The Nasty Boys show up in nWo shirts, but they get betrayed. There's a couple of decent matches here and I really enjoyed Malenko vs Armstrong and Jarrett's match was a lot better than his debut showing with the benefit of it being at his hometown. The main event is a mild recommendation because of the ending. But yeah, the wrestling is just not good outside of those and it still isn't making any sense at all to hear Larry Zbyszko constantly defend Nick Patrick and conveniently forget he was blatantly helping nWo with his officiating a few weeks back."

[4.0] "This was a slog to get through for a Nitro episode. The best segment of the show was Randy Savage's reaction to Miss Elizabeth's video plea to him. Savage and Elizabeth had the best love story in wrestling history. The matches weren't the best. Sting's absence is really starting to be felt. The Nasty Boys get rejected by the nWo, which I find odd since they never rejected anyone ever again. In fact Brutus Beefcake was the only other guy they said "no" to....not a good episode."

The matches I cared about was Dean Malenko vs Brad Armstrong and Harlem Heat vs Faces of Fear. Cool ending with the two teams joining forces to fend off the NWO."

[7.0] "Another good Nitro, though not the strongest of the era. I really liked Luger vs. Valentine, which was hard hitting and told a good story, and the tag match between Harlem Heat and Faces of Fear, which had some impressive action and ended in a cool way with both teams putting aside their differences to stand off the nWo. I do wish we could stop seeing Duggan matches though, they're more out of place than ever in this era. The angle with Savage and Liz as well as the big Hogan promo at the end of the show were pretty compelling."

[4.0] "This episode is plain boring for most of the time, nothing happens except for two big angles. Macho Man Randy Savage has issues with Miss Elizabeth but he starts to trust her. The nWo accepts and then destroys the Nasty Boys, taking over once again. The matches aren't interesting and it's pretty much a "nothing happens episode"."
