[5.0] "This was another fine show by JCP. As usual, I see that the most interesting part of the show is the Southern Six performance. But all starts with Kongo Kong defeating Santana Jackson on a fast squash match. It's decent and puts over Kong, but we need to see more of him than just under one minute squashes. Then, Mad Man Pondo defeats Dimitri Alexandrov on a death match. I guess it's the return of a JCP legend (or that's what commentary said), but he doesn't have the age to be in the ring. He couldn't move, but his lack of ability to bump was kind of great. It's the usual death match with lots of light bumps and stupid spots with a knife and a saw. I'm not a fan of this kind of matches. Less if there's no story in it. After that, Eric Smalls comes to the ring with the Redwood Giants and they double chokeslam a fan for whatever reason. Then, Willie Mack defended the JCP heavyweight title against Matt Cross again. It was better than their previous but, cause it was more fast paced and had better spots, for example Mack's comeback. But again, it could have been faster and better, as I know this two can go. The match ends with Alex Taylor interfering and allowing Mack to hit a stunner to win. It was predictable as on the previous segment Violent J had told the Southern Six that if Cross lost the match, they would get a title shot in the future. On the main event, the Southern Six (Kerry Morton & James Storm) win the tag titles after defeating the Brothers of Funstruction. The match was decent enough and the interference by Silas Mason to ensure the victory had sense. They are the best thing on the show and a great heel unit, so I'm totally up for them being champions and seing what they can do. Mason hit a cool spear through a table and later powerbombed a guy through it. Morton did some fine selling of the clowns offense."
[6.0] "Honestly, this episode definitely has some of its flaws but it was the last episode taped on the Juggalos Strike Back show so they had some matches in there that were good. Willie Mack vs. Matt Cross is certainly interesting as Willie Mack in the 1st episode established himself as being a headlining member of the JCW roster though Matt Cross wanting a rematch for the 2nd time in the taping is absurd. Southern Six main eventing for the tag team title was interesting as well considering they fought the Brothers of Funstruction on episode 3. Guess they wanted the rematch to happen on the taping. Overall, not a bad final episode in the taping which would lead into the first episode in the batch of tapings for Detroit."
"Lunacy #4 wasn't the best episode so far, but I always feel like these shows are worth a watch. Show opens with Kongo Kong vs my favorite wrestler in JCW Santana Jackson who walks out to Thriller and is wearing a werewolf mask! Santana gets some offense in on Kongo before he takes the mask off and Kongo squashes him. In my opinion Santana should not have taken the mask off, maybe he would have won. But my guy will be back... Truthfully, Kongo Kong is an abysmal wrestler and matches like this are probably the best you are going to get out of him, so smart move by JCW. Match of the night was Mad Man Pondo vs Dmitri Alexandrov in a deathmatch and we finally have light tubes on an episode of Lunacy. Dmitri manages to accidentally smash some of his tubes during his walkout, which was a bit of foreshadowing for how sloppy the match was going to be. Regardless, in this house we respect Mad Man Pondo and I always enjoy seeing some blood and broken glass. Willie Mack and Matt Cross had a rematch and it was fine, just a short match where each guy hit his moves and then Alex Taylor of The Southern Six ran out to cost Matt Cross the match. The main event The Brothers of Funstruction vs The Southern Six for the tag team titles. Juggalo Joe Galli has some good lines here - he is really starting to get comfortable and growing into his role on commentary. "I don't want you sitting next to me, Silas Mason, because people throw shit at you and you're sitting next to me! " This match was a brawl from the jump, culminating in a botched spear into a door that didn't break and The Southern Six cheat to win the belts. The crowd was not happy about this and threw a lot of trash into the ring and one of the clowns got powerbombed through the door to make sure it breaks this time. So far The Southern Six are running roughshod all over this promotion."
[5.0] "show starts with a comedy match, then we have 70 yo mad man pondo cutting a shitty promo. it did take 4 episodes but jcw are back to their backyard outlaw mudshow ways, as pondo takes on dimitri alexander, some skinny guy in jeans. pondo was never even remotely a competent wrestler and this guy is no different, match was absolutely horrendous, the guy on the PA trying to hype the crowd up to no avail was kind of funny at least, although he was only there cause there was no actual commentary for this one. Some more idiocy ensues with the midget and some guys, who cares. Cross v Mack was pretty fun, interference setting up more southern 6 shenanigans. Main event was too short but I enjoyed the hate the southern 6 got afterwards. Overall it was a decent episode, pondo and that bum were beyond abysmal but what followed was good, although the matches were too short"
[6.0] "The wrestling on the show varied in quality. I enjoyed the short match between Kongo and Jackson. The death match was poorly done even for a death match. Thought the Mack vs Cross was the best match on the show despite the finish not making a lot of sense to me. Main Event was fine but it felt a little rushed. Show had some fun backstage segments. Overall I found the show to be enjoyable."
[7.0] "We open on Santana Jackson with a wolf mask taking on Kongo Kong. The power of the wolf mask helps Jackson at first but then he gets crushed by Kongo. Pondo takes on Dimitri Alexandrov and it's a bloodbath. For some reason the announcer is talking on the mic for the whole match and it's really annoying. Willie Mack has another banger with Matt Cross, God I miss Lucha Underground. James Storm as officially joined the Southern Six and has won the tag belts from Ruffo and Yabo who have completely won me over."
