[5.0] "It was a decent show, but I had much higher expectations after the previous few PPVs. Unfortunately, it felt like ECW had gone back to relying on slow, nonsensical hardcore matches for much of the card. The angle surrounding the world title match was phenomenal, and even though the match itself leaned far too heavily into the kind of over-the-top FMW nonsense that doesn't appeal to me, I still can't get over the fact that it wasn't the main event. Instead, the show closed with RVD vs Balls Mahoney, which received a mixed reaction from a divided crowd and never felt like a worthy main event. Sabu vs Credible started off well, with plenty of intensity and aggression, but quickly devolved into another typical Sabu match, full of aimless furniture spots and very little structure. On top of that, all the chaos involving Jazz, Simon, Chetti, and everyone else just came across as awkward and unnecessary. Thankfully, there was still plenty to enjoy. The opener was excellent, with Storm and Lynn putting together some fantastic, fast-paced wrestling that felt ahead of its time. The three-way dance between Tajiri, Super Crazy, and Guido was a lot of fun, and the world title angle was simply outstanding."

[8.0] "Classic PPV from my favourite era, ranging from Storm v Jerry Lynn for the purists to New Jack repeatedly stapling some random bald bollock for the usual crew. Much credit to Taz for dropping the belt within 3 minutes, Tanaka and Awesome put on a brutal clinic, if not quite ONS 05. International 3 Way was great with all impressing. Only gripes are a the slightly tepid end and the awful Justin Jobber going over Sabu. Always worth a rewatch and a couple hours of anybody's time. An 8.5 really."

[8.0] "Quality PPV here, overall. First three matches didn't do a ton for me but the Tajiri/Crazy/Guido three way was awesome, and Sabu's return against Credible was excellent as well. The world title match was mental, the crowd may have turned on Taz on this show (not sure why) but he had a great run as champ and put these two guys over very strong as his time in the promotion started running out. Tag title match was short but satisfying. Main event was decent, probably a bit too long for what it was but still not bad."

[7.0] "This was a good show but the last two matches really hurt the show. This is just me nitpicking but why didn? t they end with the Heavyweight Championship match and give Mike Awesome his big moment while also giving Taz a proper send off that wasn? t rushed"

[8.0] "If we're gonna talk about ECW's best pay-per-views ever, there's no way that Anarchy Rulz won't be one of them. This show had everything you'd expect from ECW: The hardcore wrestling, the high flying action, the technical wrestling, and other stuff that made ECW so fun to watch. 5 of the 8 televised matches delivered meanwhile 3 of them were just fillers, but it doesn't really affect my rating. This pay-per-view was fun, totally a must watch."

The world title match in particular was an awesome moment"
