204.03.2025Thenwoagedbadly8.0The definition of a unappealing card overdelivering. In fact, we are in the sandbox of overdelivering from the get go as Komomo somehow averts a disaster, puts in easily her best performance and adroitly leads the equally incredibly inexperienced Yuuki through a match substantially better than it had any right to be. Then we have an enjoyable and amusing Three Way with three of Marigold's most reliable senshus which is worth watching if only to see how over Nao is with the Korakuen crowd. Further down the card, the Eight Woman Tag Team Elimination Match and the United National Title Match are both satisfactory. The tag match of Chika Goto and Nanae vs Arisa Nakajima and Sareee is, to no surprise whatsoever, great fun with Nanae and Arisa going at it at 100mph from the opening seconds. Arisa and Sareee also knock lumps out of Chika as she shows as much fighting spirit as she possibly can whilst also getting herself even more over (Chika is clearly getting the 'Natsu Sumire' treatment in Marigold with Rossy giving her as much leeway as possible to develop her character and show all her personality and charisma). Headlining match is emotional, highly intense and lowkey a revelation with Mai totally stepping up to the plate and Giulia further showing that she's one of the best in the world at having just flat out great and dramatic matches.

1331.08.2024heskindatrippin6.0Marigold Summer Gold Shine 2024 was a decent show that provided fans with a blend of entertaining matches and exciting story developments. The event showcased a variety of talent, with each match bringing something different to the table, from high-flying action to intense technical bouts. The wrestlers delivered strong performances, ensuring that the audience remained engaged throughout the night. While there were a few moments that felt slower-paced, the overall presentation and the enthusiasm of the competitors made it a worthwhile addition to the summer wrestling season.

1722.08.2024Rossg178.0Minami Yuuki vs Komomo Minami: For a match featuring two rookies, this was fine for opening the event, nothing memorable happened here [*3/4]. Misa Matsui vs Nao Ishikawa vs Natsumi Showzuki: It was a fast paced three way match that was good to watch, all three brought it, Misa winning was good to see and can't wait for a potential title match between Showzuki and Misa [**3/4]. Bozilla, CHIAKI, Myla Grace & Zayda Steel vs Kizuna Tanaka, MIRAI, Utami Hayashishita & Victoria Yuzuki: A decent multi woman elimination match here, some memorable eliminations for example Bozilla and MIRAI, the time limit draw was surprising but good to see though [****]. Arisa Nakajima & Sareee vs Chika Goto & Nanae Takahashi: Good to see Nakajima appear and compete in Marigold prior to her retirement, Nakajima and Takahashi facing off one more time was fun to watch as it was physical and great to see, Sareee getting the win her team was good to see [****1/4]. Miku Aono vs Kouki Amarei: Amarei had one of the best matches I have seen from her in this one, she brought her A Game to one of the best in Marigold in Aono, Aono winning was kind of obvious but would like to have seen Amarei win the title [****1/4]. Giulia vs Mai Sakurai: What a main event, Sakurai proved that she can be on the level of someone like Giulia, and put on one of her best singles matches I have seen so far, Giulia had her last singles match in Marigold and she went out with a bang, one the better singles matches I have seen in Marigold [*****]

2321.08.2024LadySnowblood6.0Marigold's Summer Gold Shine show had 2 good matches with the the tag team match in the middle of the show and Giulias last singles at the promotion before she moves on to NXT. It was a typical Giulia match with a table spot etc. Mai Sakurai had a good showing. The other matches on the card were the usual average Marigold undercard bouts.
2421.08.2024Tushka8.0It was a really good show from Marigold that felt like it could be the beginning of something great for three wrestlers. Kouki, Chika, and Mai all had what is probably their best matches so far and felt like they were launching into potential stardom which Marigold desperately needed with Giulia leaving. The only rough match of the night was the rookie match. The tag elimination match could have been cool but lacked a little and felt like an attempt to make the wrestlers all look strong heading into the tournament. The tag match and main event were both battles and the first title defense in Marigold was solid. Also nice to see a new trainee who hopefully gets to wrestle Giulia in the Gauntlet who she had said was her inspiration.
2521.08.2024interrupted9.0One of the best Marigold Korakuen shows so far with a card that in paper was expected to deliver a 2 match show. But, in fact, all the matches ended up being fun to great with the rookies opener match being the only skippable match in-ring wise but still worth watching just for the fact that was Minami Yuuki's debut. Great show overall.
2621.08.2024Some Guy7.0The opening match between Yuuki and Komomo in the Minami showdown was decent. Better than expected. There wasn't anything too fancy in terms of the moveset, but it all looked fine (5.5/10). Misa vs Nao vs Natsumi was pretty good. This had a nice mix of seriousness and comedy (6.5/10). The elimination match was solid, but could have been a lot better. This was fun while it lasted, just a shame about that weak time limit draw non-finish (6/10). Nakajima/Sareee vs Nanae/Gochika was very good. Arisa and Nanae beat each other up, Sareee did her usual thing even with her being limited by injury, and Gochika got over with her fighting spirit (8/10). The United National title match between Miku and Kouki was pretty good. This got a lot of time to play out and Kouki got to show that she has the potential to improve. Miku gets the first successful title defense in Marigold history (6.5/10). Giulia vs Mai in the main event was great. They delivered a hard hitting, intense fight. Easily the best match of Mai's career and by far her best individual performance. Giulia wins her last singles match before moving on to WWE (9/10). A strong tag team match and a great main event carry what was otherwise an above average show. 7/10
2720.08.2024TheRabbitInTheBush7.0Fun show. Three way was alright. Elimination match really didn't have to be a time limit draw. Nanae Takahashi continues to be one of the more interesting wrestlers that Marigold has. She really gets a lot out of opponents. United national title was alright. Amarei has a lot to learn. Main event is why most will watch this show and it was good.
