[5.0] "These pre-nWo shows are getting pretty rough to sit through because of how horribly played out Hogan's character is! Hogan loses to Arn Anderson in the main event so thats something I guess... but even with that outcome make no mistake that entire match and post match was just Hogan looking several tiers above the rest of the roster with even Savage looking like he is playing second fiddle to him with commentary literally telling us he is less important than Hogan after Hogan lost. It's just horrible. It's a shame too as Savage has a no nonsense squash in the first match of the show where he takes out his frustrations on Hugh Morrus after he was betrayed by Elizabeth the previous night. Savage is a much more entertaining and charismatic babyface than Hogan whenever the spotlight was on him. Elizabeth doesn't really explain her heel turn in the interview segment afterwards and isn't really all that convincing as a heel to me, but you do get some random Ric Flair antics so that gets a thumbs up. Konnan vs Devin Storm was a fun sprint. There is absolutely no excuses for booking Giant Haystacks in a match as he looked unhealthy and even for a one minute sqush it was botchy and uncoordinated."

[6.0] "This seemed like the Ric Flair show and it's all the better for it. Savage acting somewhat different due to Liz's betravel the night before was interesting to see. Haystacks in 1996 shouldn't ever been in a thing, just did not fit. A nice showing for Devon Storm in the US title match, they should have signed up then and there. Of course, the big take away from this NITRO is Arn beating Hogan 'clean'. Hogan did not look weak as it took a small army to beat him and he didn't sell it for 5 seconds after the fact, so kind of takes the shine away. A fun hour of mid 90s wrestling top of with a historic win for Arn Anderson."

[6.0] "Why is Savage vs The Dungeon of Doom more entertaining than Hogan vs the Dungeon? Loch Ness is boring and looks a mess. Konnan vs Devon Storm was a fun match but Konnan is to big to do all that lucha. Arn Anderson beating Hogan was a surprise but they over protect Hogan like usually with so much cheating."

[5.0] "Standard episode, focused on the post ppv-stuff. Arn Arnderson gets a victory against Hulk Hogan, almost surprising to see. Konnan vs Devon Storm is the best match and the first two matches are one sided. Loch Ness does not impress at all, typical strong guy. Also, a couple of angles with Ric Flair and Randy Savage."
