- Die Kommentatoren geben nach der üblichen Begrüßung bekannt, dass Randy Savage nächste Woche bei NITRO Ric Flair um den WCW World Title herausfordern wird.

Singles Match: "The Total Package" Lex Luger vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage
Jimmy Harts Abwesenheit in diesem Match wird von den Kommentatoren damit erklärt, dass dieser sich gerade in einem Meeting mit Ric Flair befände. Luger wirft zunächst einen Stuhl in den Ring, um Savage und den Referee abzulenken und nutzt dies zu einer Attacke gegen den Macho Man. Savage wird aus dem Ring befördert und zunächst gegen einen Eckpfosten und danach auf das Absperrgitter gehämmert. Savage slamt Lugers Gesicht auf die Stahltreppe und schiebt Luger zurück in den Ring, um einen Double Axhandle Blow zu zeigen. Cover, 1... 2... Kick Out! Savage würgt Lex mit Hilfe der Seile, muss dann allerdings einen Gesichtskratzer und einige Tritte einstecken. Der Macho Man kämpft sich allerdings zurück und bringt Luger mit einem Bodyslam in Position für den Flying Elbow Smash... Doch Lex weicht aus, nimmt Savage sofort in das Torture Rack und zwingt ihn damit zum vierten Mal in Folge zur Aufgabe! Die Fans jubeln Luger dafür überraschenderweise zu, obwohl der doch eigentlich als Heel unterwegs ist.
Sieger: Lex Luger (5:10)

- Mean Gene interviewt nun die Four Horsemen und den Dungeon Of Doom. Arn Anderson erklärt dabei Kevin Sullivan, dass das geplante Tag Team Match zwischen ihm selbst und Brian Pillman auf der einen, sowie Sullivan und Hugh Morrus auf der anderen Seite nicht stattfinden werde. Die ganze Sache sei eine Fehde, die derzeit keine der beiden Parteien gebrauchen könne. Dem stimmt Sullivan zähneknirschend zu. Nun versucht aber Pillman querzuschießen, indem er diverse Horsemen-Slogans einwirft. Doch Arn hat schnell genug davon und verpasst Brian eine schallende Ohrfeige! Für den Rest des Interviews, verhält sich Pillman - sichtlich mit Mühe und Not - dann doch ruhig. Abschließend verspricht Kommentator Eric Bischoff ein Ersatzmatch, welches nun an der Reihe sei.

Tag Team Match: American Males (Marcus Alexander Bagwell & Scotty Riggs) vs. The Public Enemy (Johnny Grunge & Rocco Rock)
Grunge pinnt hier letztlich Bagwell nach einem Eingriff von Rocco Rock, indem er Marcus einrollt und dabei seine Hebelkraft mit einem unfairen Griff an die Hose verstärkt. Gleichzeitig stösst Rock Scotty Riggs vom Apron, wobei der obendrein unglücklich auf der Ringabsperrung landet und ausgeknockt wird.
Sieger: The Public Enemy (3:28)

- Nach dem Match bearbeitet Rocco dann auch noch Bagwell und prügelt sich mit diesem aus dem Ring. Währenddessen platziert Grunge einen Tisch auf dem Hallenboden... und noch einen. Nachdem man Marcus gemeinsam gegen den Apron gehämmert hat, werden die beiden Tische übereinander gestapelt und Bagwell darauf abgelegt. Danach hält Grunge Bagwell an den Beinen fest, während Rocco Rock mit dem Cannonball-Salto geflogen kommt und seinen Gegner durch beide Tische befördert! Sowohl Bagwell, als auch Rocco bleiben reglos in den Trümmern liegen, während Eric Bischoff am ausflippen ist, sofort nach der Security ruft und danach erklärt, dass für solche Dinge kein Platz in der WCW sei!

WCW World Heavyweight Title Match: "The Nature Boy" Ric Flair (w/Jimmy Hart) © vs. Sting
Die beiden Kontrahenten spulen hier eines ihrer "Standart"-Matches ab. Das Ende wird eingeleitet, als Lex Luger am Ring auftaucht, während Hart auf den Apron steigt. Luger packt Jimmy unsanft und will ihm scheinbar das Megaphon abnehmen. Doch gleichzeitig zeigt der Herausforderer den Stinger Splash in die Ringecke und knallt dabei unglücklich mit dem Kopf gegen das Megaphon. Flair nutzt das natürch zu seinen Gunsten, setzt beim bewußtlosen Stinger eilig den Figure Four an und schafft damit den erfolgreichen 3-Count!
Sieger und damit weiterhin WCW World Heavyweight Champion: Ric Flair (12:00)

- Luger kommt nun in den Ring und befreit Sting aus Flairs Finisher, zieht sich aber sofort wieder zurück als Hulk Hogan und Randy Savage in die Halle kommen, um dem Stinger zu Hilfe zu eilen. Während sich die beiden um ihren Kumpel und um den Ringrichter - welcher ebenfalls zu Boden gegangen war - kümmern, kommt auch noch Gene Okerlund hinzu und fragt den Stinger, was der denn nun von Luger halte. Sting scheint ziemlich ratlos zu sein, da er nicht ganz mitbekommen habe, was da eben abgelaufen sei. Savage stellt klar, dass Luger dem Stinger gerade das Match und den Titel gekostet habe, was das WCW-Aushängeschild widerum dazu veranlasst, in den Backstagebereich zu laufen und Luger zu suchen.

- Doch es kommt noch besser: Plötzlich kommt es nämlich auch noch zu einer verbalen Auseinandersetzung zwischen Hogan und Savage, die sich gegenseitig Illoyalität vorwerfen. Hogan ist sauer darüber, dass Savage erneut einen Kampf um "seinen" Titel bekommt, obwohl er nun vier Niederlagen gegen Luger und bei "WCW Saturday Night" bereits eine gegen den Champion Ric Flair erlitten habe. Demgegenüber kritisiert Savage, dass sich Hogan wohl gerade von seinem Ego übermannen lasse. Anschließend verlässt der Macho Man den Ring, während Hogan über das geplante Tag Team Match der ehemaligen Mega Powers gegen Ric Flair und den Giant murrt, welches nächste Woche beim Clash Of The Champions #32 stattfinden soll.

- Für die dieswöchige Episode von "WCW Saturday Night" wird ein Titelmatch zwischen den Tag Team Champions Harlem Heat und Sting & Lex Luger angekündigt. Darüberhinaus werde es einen Auftritt von Hulk Hogan und ein Exklusiv-Interview mit dem bekannten Schauspieler Jim Belushi geben.

Singles Match: "The Immortal" Hulk Hogan vs. Meng (w/The Taskmaster)
Hogan zeigt nach wenigen Minuten den Big Boot. Sullivan springt auf den Apron und will seinem Schützling den "Golden Spike" zuwerfen. Der ebenfalls herbeigeeilte Randy Savage kann dies nicht verhindern... Doch Hogan fängt den Fremdgegenstand ab und schlägt - unbemerkt vom Ringrichter - Meng damit nieder. Danach lässt der Hulkster das Ding in der Hose seines Gegners verschwinden und fährt den Sieg ein. Danach säubern die Faces den Ring von den Vertretern des Dungeon.
Sieger: Hulk Hogan (4:41)

[6.0] "Hogan's OP booking is front and center of this show where its becoming more and more obvious that Savage is playing second fiddle to him despite being the next contender and his match against Meng main evented over a Sting v Flair World Title match. Ridiculous! Savage losing for a fourth time against Luger was just poor booking and set up Hogan's insufferable 'I deserve a title shot more than you, brother' rant later in the show. Sting vs Flair was by a mile the best thing on this show and it ended up with Lex Luger costing Sting the match with it up in the air as to weather it was an accident. I like the storyline with them. Theres a big segment where AA tries to resolve the Horseman's feud with Dungeon of Doom peacefully as the two factions appeared to be in an alliance and Public Enemy get a sick table spot in their debut match in WCW. It's still a watchable show, but the storylines are much weaker than when it focuses on the wrestling."

[3.0] "Nitro returns to being pretty low-quality. Only 2 matches here got over 5 minutes, but at least 1 of those was the 'work-rate' match which was pretty decent. Savage vs Luger wasn't awful but it definitely wasn't at all interesting. Both men had very generic offences while playing their very black-and-white respective face and heel roles. Pretty anticlimactic for Luger to quickly cut off Savage's comeback and then simply hit the Torture Rack for the win. **. The Horsemen and the Dungeon of Doom establishing a truce was interesting, but I really hope the latter don't drag the former down to their low, low level. Pillman getting on Arn's nerves was cool, and I'd definitely like to see them face off. Public Enemy vs American Males was a messy brawl with noticeable incoordination for their more 'complex' (yet still really basic) exchanges. Not a remotely decent match, but too short to rate. NR. The post-match double table spot was decent, but took quite a while to set up. Flair vs Sting was one of their standard matches with all the same spots they always hit. Flair's chops and other strikes all looked good, and Sting showed decent energy in his more athletic attacks, but there wasn't much else to this. They started to properly impress as they picked up the pace and went for some quicker and more convincing pin attempts, and Flair's cowardly and goofy heel-selling was just at that sweet spot where it was really entertaining without coming off overly obnoxious. Luger accidentally hitting Sting in the corner was well executed where it wasn't exactly clear if he intended to do that or not, continuing the mystery surrounding whether Luger had already secretly turned on Sting to cement his full heel turn or not. A shame about the interference finish, but I moderately enjoyed their work before that. ***. The post-match confrontation between Sting and Hogan + Savage was alright, and I'm hoping that it FINALLY kickstarts a proper Sting-vs-Luger feud after all this teasing. Hogan then came off as really inconsiderate and dick-ish as he harshly criticised Savage for his earlier loss to Luger and once again moaned about being the 'rightful' world champion who deserved to have the title, again showing that Hogan has no clue how to play a real babyface. Despite having a WCW World Heavyweight Title match on this show, Hogan still managed to get the main-event to himself despite having a far less interesting match-up with far less stakes as he took on Meng. The match was the usual Hogan BS, with him getting eaten up by his far-more-impressive monster opponent before doing one of his signature lame and forced hulk-ups and running through his moves of doom. His finish was at least different by using Taskmaster's spike against Meng (yet another relatively un-babyface-like spot from Hogan, of course), but otherwise this was an exact copy of every Hogan match ever. Obviously not a good performance, but too short to rate. NR. Lame way to end the show."

I really liked the promo between the Horsemen and the Dungeon, and Hogan trying to cast suspicion on everyone else was kind of funny. Flair/Sting might look like the best match on paper but if you've seen one you've seen them all, I preferred Luger/Savage as match of the night. Public Enemy match wasn't much but really cool table spot after the match."

[5.0] "This is not a good episode, the card is interesting but both match quality and promo are not enough to recommend the episode. I like how intense it gets between the top stars (Savage, Hogan, Sting and Luger), but apart from them there is nothing impressive this time and they seem slow 50 minutes of the episode. The debut of Public Enemy does not work and the match is bad."
