[10.0] "This was a fantastic and historic Joshi event. We had our first 3 Marigold chamipons crowned! FOUR incredible matches, THREE new champions, IYO SKY in the building and putting on the match of the night with Utami! Sareee upsetting Guilia, I think most people would have bet a house on Guilia being the first Marigold World Champion! Aono vs MIRAI was fantastic, after 3 back-to-back time limit draws, finally we have a winner in this series, and then to pull double duty and go and beat Bozilla in the same night too, what a performance from the new and deserving United National Champion Aono! Showzuki and Matsui put on a hell of a speed type match, congratulations to Showzuki on becoming the first ever Superfly Champion! CHIAKI & Nagisa Nozaki look good as a tag team too, suited well."

Iyo brings the glitz and the glamour, Giulia and Sareee bring the violence but the star of the whole show might be Miku Aono who delivers not one but two high quality and emotional performances laced with drama."

[6.0] "The first half of this isn't great but overall this wasn't a bad show and I didn't feel it's length too much. Utami vs Io was pretty good but the thing holding that match back from being really great is the same thing holding back much of the card. They have 3, 000 fans spread about a 20, 000 seat arena, which makes those fans feel less inclined to get involved as well as making them sound quiet and distant. That also affected the main event and its ending (as did the ending itself), resulting in a flat finish right at the end of the show. With that said, from Mirai vs Aono onward this is not a bad show and though the undercard was mixed it was mostly fine. A different venue and a better main event finish could have bumped my score up."

[6.0] "The Last 3 matches saved this show from being forgetable. The Gaijins (except Bozilla) still are the lowlight of every show, the 6 Women tag just took some time away, AONO vs. MIRAI was disappointing due to the no selling of the one matchstory. MotN was Sky vs. Hayashishita, Bozilla vs. Aono was a well told David vs. Goliath story and the main event was good but not great. Also 4 1/2 hours is just too long."

[9.0] "I've watched all of the TJPW and Stardom PPVs this year, but Marigold's Summer Destiny slightly beats out Grand Princess '24 as the best event I've seen so far. I was mostly excited for the Queen of Queen match with Iyo Sky (yes, Queen of Queen), but found myself more and more invested in every match as the show progressed. The midcard roster for Marigold needs to be fleshed out a bit more, but the event itself was crafted like a good musical album, where the intensity crescendos until the finish. The only match I did not care for was the tag match with Myla Grace, but every other match was somewhere between good to great, with Iyo vs Utami being a MOTY candidate. Of course, having three inaugural championships decided created a lot of drama, and I think Ogawa chose fair champions in each case. Lastly, Iyo Sky and Giulia were both immense additions to the main event matches, so hopefully Marigold can keep the momentum going with guest appearances until they round out their roster. Hopefully Kairi will appear at the next PPV."

[9.0] "Rea Seto vs Komomo Minami: These two despite not having much experience, as rookies they put on an okay performance, Rea in her first Marigold appearance and getting her first Marigold win was decent to see [**3/4]. Chika Goto & Kouki Amarei vs Kizuna Tanaka & Victoria Yuzuki: An okay match that had an okay level of action, the time limit was an okay decision but would like to have saw winners in this tag match [**1/2]. CHIAKI & Nagisa Nozaki vs Myla Grace & Zayda Steel: Not a bad match, the action could have been better booked as was average at best, could have been booked differently, good to see CHIAKI and Nozaki get the win here [**]. Natsumi Showzuki vs Misa Matsui: A fast paced enjoyable to watch match, both had a great showing to crown the first Superfly Champion, Showzuki being crowned the inaugraul champion was the right decision [***3/4]. NORI, Shinobu Kandori & Takako Inoue vs Mai Sakurai, Nanae Takahashi & Nao Ishikawa: A fun to watch six woman tag team match, all six had their moments but some did have more moments than others, Team Marigold being on the losing side was surprising to see [***3/4]. Miku Aono vs MIRAI: An absolute great match between these two, the best match in their series of matches I have seen, glad they had more of a time limit and nearly reached it but there was a winner, great performances from both of them, Aono getting the win was good to see [****1/2]. Miku Aono vs Bozilla: Despite having just competed in a 25 minute match just before this one, Aono did have a strong showing against a more dominant Bozilla, Aono getting the win was surprising here, the action was solid throughout [***1/4]. IYO SKY vs Utami Hayashishita: MOTY contender right here, both had one of the best women's matches in Japan I have seen in a long time, enjoyed it throughout, IYO getting the win here was definitely the right choice, definitely recommend the match, really worth watching [*****]. Sareee vs Giulia: A greatly fought main event contest between these two, my second favourite match of the PPV (just behind the semi main event), the match was well worked and both gave what they had, Giulia hitting the piledriver on Sareee through the table was one of the highlights for me, the outcome with the referee ending the match via stoppage was okay to see especially with Sareee locking in the armbar on Giulia [****3/4]"

[10.0] "My favourite show of the year so far! The rookies and lesser experienced talent on the first half of the show rose to the occasion, particularly Yuzuki & Tanaka. The Superfly Title match was outstanding and one that will leave new fans wanting to see a whole lot more from both. Both White Belt matches were great and the decision to go with Miku Aono as the first champion is inspired and exciting. IYO/Utami was everything I hoped it would be and more, my current MOTY. Giulia/Sareee had a slow start but had the big match feel and intensity by the end, capped off with the correct booking decision yet again. Perfect first PPV for Marigold!"

[9.0] "Excellent show that was capped off with one of the best final two matches of any show this year. This is among the best Joshi shows I have ever watched. Plenty of great matches up and down the card w/Showzuki/Matsui and Aono's performances against MIRAI & Bozilla being the main highlights of the undercard. IYO/Utami is the best women's match of the year. An instant classic in every way possible: intense action, strong psychology, felt like a genuine fight throughout and had an outstanding closing stretch (*****). The main event was absolutely fantastic with Giulia/Sareee putting on a hard hitting clash that featured some brilliant storytelling throughout. The finish is my main gripe with the bout as it wasn't clear that Giulia was unable to escape or wanted to give up (****3/4). Loved this show and will be rewatching again."

[9.0] "Rea vs Komomo in the pre-show match was an okay rookie battle. Pretty basic stuff, a lot of dropkicks. Rea looked better than Komomo, who was gassed after a long submission spot and struggled the rest of the match. Odd finish with Komomo kicking out of three pins then being pinned on the fourth. There's room for improvement for both of them (4/10). Gochika/Kouki vs Kizuna/Yuzuki in the opening match was decent. Some solid action and they were hitting their stride then the match ends in a time limit draw after just ten minutes. That was disappointing, but it was enjoyable while it lasted (5.5/10). The next part of the show had an AWG performance that was entertaining, followed by a few announcements of a Dream Star GP and a show at the beginning of the next year. CHIAKI/Nagisa vs Myla/Zayda was okay. The match is going along just fine then there was a ref bump and shenanigans with a chair. It felt overbooked for a filler match (4.5/10). Natsumi vs Misa for the Superfly Championship was very good. Fast paced and hard hitting, they went after each other. Natsumi wins to become the first champion in Marigold (8/10). Team LLPW vs Team Marigold in the six woman tag match was pretty good. Chaotic fun at times and everyone got their moments to shine, though some stood out more than others (6.5/10). Miku vs MIRAI in their fourth attempt at determining who would advance to the United National final was the best in their rivalry. A lot of variety here with grappling, submissions, limb targeting and brawling as they tried for a long time to finally best the other. Miku getting the win was a pleasant surprise (8.5/10). Miku didn't have much time to celebrate as a few minutes later, Bozilla came out for the title match. Classic story here with an exhausted Miku trying to overcome the odds against a powerful, fresh Bozilla. Miku used her experience to pull off the upset to become the United National champion. Good match, great booking (7.5/10). IYO vs Utami was incredible. IYO shows why she's one of the best in the world as she delivers one of the best matches of the year. Utami was also great here, she took a beating and kept coming back for more. This lived up to the hype (10/10). Giulia vs Sareee in the main event for the World Championship was great. As expected, they beat the hell out of each other. The first half was a little slow, but still good, as they built up to a much better second half. Sareee attacking Giulia's injured wrist led to a ref stoppage finish, which could have been done better and is a bit weak for such a big match. It definitely felt like they were building to Giulia winning, but you can't go wrong with Sareee. It'll be interesting to see how a freelancer being champion will play out (9/10). Summer Destiny overall was a great PPV. The first half was a mixed bag and felt long with some filler matches and all the the other stuff going on, though the Superfly match was a highlight there. The second half was an improvement as all of the important matches delivered and there was a genuine MOTY contender in IYO vs Utami. 9/10"

[8.0] "Preshow was alright. New rookie looked good. Opening tag match was alright. Hints of the tag titles for the future. The AWG performance seemed like Rossy paying em back taking some of their talent. Michiko Omukai showing up to introduce her daughter was interesting. Myla Grace & Zayda Steel vs Chiaki & Nagisa Nozaki was a boring match. Even Rossy was on his phone by the end of it. Superfly title match was a good match. Marigold vs LLPW match was a mess. If Mai Sakurai was actually injured the match should have stopped. Besides that everyone was just walking into the ring without tags or standing around. Mirai vs Miku Aono had been done to death already so I wasn't that interested in the match. The national title was alright. Bozilla actually sold for Miku. IYO Sky vs Utami was excellent. Giulia vs Sareee for the world title was great. The table spot was dope. Ref stoppage came out of nowhere though. Great show. Recommended."
NikoKillbain wrote on 14.07.2024:
[7.0] "Two issues with this show - one, I felt as though some of the new Champions were the wrong choice; and two, they can't force us to pay attention to their chosen stars after Iyo Sky and Giulia were the massive focus in their matches. Iyo vs Utami is not what you want people walking away talking about. If you watch the highlights of that match, 90% of them are Iyo, who is not going to be your focus going forward. Guilia vs Sareee did well to ramp up the action late. Performers of the night were MIRAI, Bozilla, and Guilia for bringing her aura and putting over Sareee."

[7.0] "Pretty good Pay-per-view! There are a couple matches that really stand out as excellent (specifically the Showzuki and Iyo matches) and some others that were very enjoyable. I don't feel like I wasted my 20 dollars, but I do feel like it could have been better served with other products. 80% of this roster is still raw sewage. Utami didn't put her working shoes on like I hoped she would and laid on the mat instead. Read my review for that match for more details on that. I'm done with Giulia after this display. I hope she does go to WWE and is there for a while so I don't have to see her. Though I don't know how long she'll last in that system if she behaves like she did with this match. On a more pleasant note, I really enjoyed the rookie match that started the show. It was nice to see someone come in that can work her skill level comfortably and doesn't try to over extend herself into being a mess. Komomo is coming along very nicely. I like those two. Many more happy returns for them. Buy it if you don't have anything else to watch because this is much better than their house shows."

[9.0] "I don't know how successful Marigold will ultimately become, especially with Giulia no longer there full-time. However, they have a path in front of them to be one of the best promotions around for a long time, and this show was a huge leap forward on that path. Showzuki and Matsui are not super polished yet but showed great heart, Aono, MIRAI and Bozilla are firmly established at the top of the card, Iyo showed what the WWE working relationship brings to the table, and the best wrestler in Japan is their inaugural champion. The final two matches were outstanding, Aono vs MIRAI was excellent as always, and the Flyweight match was very good."
Zaca97 wrote on 14.07.2024:
"The first few matches weren't great but once they got to the Super flyweight match the show really took off, Misa Matsui is going to be really fun to watch. 6 women tag was mostly as expected but NORI surprised me, didn't know anything about her going in. Miku & MIRAI just work really well together, BOZILLA did her job as a monster for Miku to overcome with her back against the wall. IYO vs Utami was the standout of the show, Main event was great but had the tough task of following IYO vs Utami."

[10.0] "This PPV was special. I don't often watch Japanese events, but the few times I do, I am always satisfied. The struggle of Miku Aono to win the title, the emotion of Utami before facing Io Shirai, the sincere tears of Giulia mixing sadness and gratitude for the federation she probably calls home. An ode to emotions, and it made me feel a lot of them during the viewing. The match between Iyo and Utami was sensational. I also loved the Flyweight title match and, of course, both United National title matches. The main event was very beautiful. I am happy and satisfied with investing money in this PPV, and I highly recommend it."

"Probably the best show I saw this year, saw every shows before this one and it didnt disapoint at all. It was a perfect end to this first "arc". Showzuki is a special talent, Utami vs Iyo was a MOTY conteder, Giulia vs Sareee delivered. Marigold is standing tall."
Mida wrote on 13.07.2024:
[10.0] "Misa Matsui vs Natsumi Showzuki, a high speed match demonstration. Iyo Sky giving an absolute masterclass for her return to Japan. Giulia who gave everything to come back from injury but who cannot beat Sareee, who is the most serious contender for the title of wrestler of the year. Rookies who show that their future is bright (Victoria Yuzuki, only 6 months of career! ). We wrap it all up in a mythical venue, and that gives it a 10/10. Show of the year?"

A bit disappointing was the main event, I excpected much more from Giulia and Sareee. The first part of thr show was underwhelming and had some weaker matches."

[8.0] "A good show overall. It has trouble getting started and the opener is an unnecessary Drawssy Ogawa. Chiaki and Nozaki's victory over the Gaijin was to be expected. Still, they didn't give up and gave it their all. A forgettable match. Showzuki vs Matsui is a nice surprise. The match is intense and Showzuki is both brutal and fast. The match with the legends is entertaining, with a big scare from Sakurai who seems to have injured his neck. I like Passion, but this defeat won't give them any credibility going forward. Miku Aono and Mirai is great! The sequel against Bozilla is too predictable. Still, we appreciate Aono's intelligent work on Bozilla's leg. Iyo Sky just proved that she's the best in the world. She looked at ease and made Hayashishita suffer as she struggled to keep up. Incredible main event, tension and intensity. I didn't like the finale though, despite the storytelling. It lacked credibility."

[9.0] "Marigold Summer Destiny was a very good show with good wrestling all along the card, one of my favorite shows of the year with obviously the 2 big Main-Events that made me get out of my chair a lot of times but not for a second was I bored during the other matches too I'm really satisfied for the price I paid to see this PPV. Iyo Sky vs Utami Hayashishita was sensational, a 5-Star match, and I'd like to thank the WWE and Marigold for allowing it, as it was a real treat for us wrestling fans, but I think it was especially good for the 2 wrestlers, given their history with Stardom. And Sareee vs Giulia was also incredible and moving, but in another way I'd give it a 5-Star rating too. Special mention also to Miku Aono who fought 2 times and made 2 good matches. To conclude, here are my scores for each match : Kokomo Minami vs Rea Seto = 1.25* / Grace & Steel vs Chiaki & Nozaki = 2* / Showzuki vs Misa Matsui = 3.5* / Marigold vs LLPW-X = 3* / Mirai vs Miku Aono = 4* / Bozilla vs Miku Aono = 3.5* / IYO SKY vs Utami Hayashishita = 5* / Giulia vs Sareee = 5*"

Miku Aono had a star making performance with her matches. However overall the show went long and their main eventers seem weaker despite establishing champions. The midcard is going to have a lot of work to make their next tour and big events matter, but hopefully that's an easy fix with sprinkling a decent amount of W's for promising championship challengers."

[10.0] "One of the best ppv i have ever seen all the matches cooked and the minami komomo vs rea seto was a good shwocase between a rookie and a newcomer from another company, the twin towers vs yuzuki and kizuna was a very good match that have as mvp kisuna and yuzuki, i have never seen kizuna and this match have make me interest in what the future holds for her, the chiaki and nagisa vs zayda steel and myla maybe is the weakest match of the card but acomplices his fucion of keep constructing the tag betwwen chiaki and nagisa and to start a rivalary between zayda and myla, the superfly title match absolutely cooked misa buted open her lip and it seemed like an ufc fight and i loved every second of it, the pasion dojo vs the llpw x (i think its caled like this sorry if i spell it bad) was a good and funny match i never watched nori and i like her i heard she have past in mma and its easly obiouse because of her kicks, the legends did good, the mirai vs miku match was hard hitting and a banger i have been a fan of mirai since istartde watching marigold but miku's performence in the 3 matches have maked me a fano her (even with the draws) and miku vs bozilla it was good and dont get me wrong i like that miku is the inaugural un chapion but i would liked if bozzilla winned its one of my favorites and i didnt like that she winned with a roll pin but it was a good match, the iyo vs utami the story is perfect even if i know most of it (marigold is the first joshi promotion that i have watched) but the story of a girl wanting to fight her idol iyo wenting to wwe and utami thinking that she would never wrestle her is captivating huge props to wwe and hhh for letting this match happen its has been art and a 5 star classic, sareee vs giulia was a hard hitting banger the spot of giulia throwing sareee trough that table make me worry that one of the two get injury and sareee getting the championship is a good decision since giulia is going to nxt and could not defend the title properly and could happen a situation similar to jon moxley's iwgp reign (no hate to mox he is a goat) . Marigold is here to stay and im here for it (sorry if i put words bad i am from spain and english isn't my main lenguaje so i might pronunce words bad )"
