[7.0] "They should just give Lola Vice the title now after that spinning backfist. I mean good Lord have mercy. The heat between her and Roxy is great. Lola was good on commentary, too. Ethan Page continues to be absolutely delightful on the microphone. Wes Lee and Joe Coffey did a short thing that was fine, I suppose. Damon Kemp made an uneven Tavion Heights look real good. Ava was aces all night in the GM role. Jaida Parker nearly stole the show with a backstage interview, of all things. The ropes were a little slick for Sol Ruca. Ariana Grace is an absolute joy. This was a fine show."
[6.0] "This was just okay I guess, nothing special, the turmoil match was pretty good with that cool promo segment that happened afterwards. Wes vs Joe was fine. The Heritage Cup championship was really good, after that the whole show derailed from there, last 4 matches were just bleh."
[5.0] "NXT has got a huge problem. They are a WRESTLING-program, yet more than half their roster aren't even real wrestlers. The storytelling and booking is absolutely fine but the in-ring action is just bland or flat out bad. Shawn and Trick wrestled a boring 8 minute match, the tag turmoil wasn't anything special either and the concept of the Heritage Cup is just something I personally don't like. Something needs to change"
"Four matches that are sub 5 minutes so they can't even be rated on here, on a two hour show? There's such little wrestling here that I think we need a different term for what this sort of thing is; for anyone that is a fan of in-ring this isn't the show for you, though the Heritage Cup match was good. The amount of squash matches is just sad, you can't develop if you're just out for mere minutes."
[5.0] "A two hour show with only one match over 10 minutes. This is why I only watch the clips and one full match on the WWE YouTube. I have the full context for the what's going on and for the PLEs without the extreme time investment. There's not enough steak for the sizzle, so to speak. I also don't enjoy the backstage skits and segments. "Oh hi I didn't see you there. Let's talk like there's no camera here" That stuff was weird in the late 90's and it's not much better now."
[6.0] "Solid night of NXT but too many short matches. Heritage cup was my MOTN, and also I am liking the current Heatwave card. Still a solid building overall by NXT"
[7.0] "Andre Chase & Duke Hudson vs Edris Enofe & Malik Blade vs Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows vs Pete Dunne & Tyler Bate vs Angel & Berto: An interesting tag team turmoil match, New Catch Republic gave a solid performance until the end when Chase U pinned New Catch Republic to win which was not the right choice [***1/2]. Wes Lee vs Joe Coffey: A match that was okay but should have had more time instead of just 3 minutes, Lee getting the win was good to see [*3/4]. Tony D'Angelo vs Nathan Fraser: A pretty good match to be honest, Fraser got the first pin in just 40 seconds, then D'Angelo got his first pin, then the run up to the final fall was interesting [***1/2]. Roxanne Perez vs Karmen Petrovic: This was another match that needed more time in my opinion, Petrovic did her best even in defeat [*3/4]. Tavion Heights vs Damon Kemp: Felt like a squash match with Kemp controlling the action with a surprise win for Heights [*]. Sol Ruca vs Ariana Grace: An okay match, Ruca winning was the right choice [*3/4]. Shawn Spears vs Trick Williams: A solid match, Ethan Page being at ringside and being attacked by Oro Mensah was intriguing, the action was okay [***1/4]"

[8.0] "admittedly there was a couple shaky parts of this show that got me a little spooked icl. But with some entertaining matches and good story progression it ended up being a fun show. I must mention Jaida Parker, she has future star written all over her. she's great on the mic and just owns the scene that she's in, and her in-ring work is developing well. A fatal 4 way for the title is absolutely the right call with Trick's limitations in the ring, and while others didn't, i quite like the way they gave a compelling reason for each challenger being in the match. kelani vs sol sounds like a lot of fun, and oba vs Wes lee will be beast. Lola vs Roxanne could be great and the right challengers before Giulia arrives. Heatwave card shaping up nicely"
