628.05.2025Thenxt observer8.0(7.9/10) As mentioned a gazillion times, 2024 might be one of, if not the absolute, greatest year in WWE history. There was a large opinion that Bad Blood of that year was the weakest ple of that year (from the main roster). It definitely wasn't one of the better ones, but there were volumes of iconic and prosperous moments throughout the show It started off with one of the greatest matches in company history, which was followed by a women's world title match that was better than people will make you believe. The next two bouts were Judgement Day related and would have been better suited on an episode of RAW. But the energy picked back up for the main-event, which was a fire outing, though no surprise consider all who were involved.

1324.04.2025Joeljw6.0Sensational opener with CM Punk and Drew completely revitalising the HIAC stipulation by beating the absolute piss out of each other for 30 minutes, rest of the show is mediocre at best, the main event was decent but was only the main event for the rock to come out and confuse everyone. The Finn Damien match was okay, Priest standing up after being hit with multiple coup de gras did leave a bad taste in my mouth, and the other two matches were baddddd, especially the Rhea Liv match which made such little sense, Rhea just allowed to not be counted out, Dominik being suspended outside of the ring because of the HIAC and the atrociously botched finish, honestly this feud has run its course and I'm begging for it to end, Liv and Rhea are both very good wrestlers and deserve way better booking!

1831.03.2025Keithnelson183.0Let's be honest, everyone only watched this card just for the hell in a cell match, and I'm one of those people. That Hell In A Cell match was amazing, Punk and McIntyre beat the shit outta each other and gave the cell stipulation a match is deserves, and for the rest of the card.........yeah it was nothing. The tag match was wrongfully given the main event spot, Nia vs Bayley & Rhea vs Liv were garbage, and Finn and Damien was just something that was there. Just watch this for the cell match, don't bother with the rest of the show.
1930.03.2025BrandonADK7.04 out of the 7 points I gave this show comes from Punk v Drew. The rest of the show feels like a glorified episode of Raw.

2906.02.2025Nicks3.0A really poor show, held up only by the fantastic Hell In A Cell between CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. The two women's matches were very bad, especially the one between Rhea Ripley and Liv Morgan which had a horrible ending due to disqualification. The match between Priest and Balor was overall sufficient, but it was useless in view of Balor's defeat and the sinking of Judgement Day, which by then had become very little credible. And the main event between Bloodline and Cody Rhodes and Roman Reigns was slow and with a too obvious ending, with Reigns and Rhodes winning thanks to the help of the returning Jimmy Uso. And then the arrival of The Rock at the end of the match was, in hindsight, useless, and if that's the reason why Hell In A Cell wasn't the main event it pisses me off. A bad show, which perhaps with a different lineup would have been more enjoyable.

Gesamt: 9, 0.

4820.12.2024TH08106.0This show was nothing special to be quite honest. It peaked with the opener, fell off a cliff after until the main event gave it some life but not as much as the opener. All in all, a pretty forgettable show, with an unforgettable match attached to it. Drew/Punk III - *****, Nia/Bayley - **3/4, Priest/Balor - ***, Rhea/Liv - *1/2, Cody-Roman/Solo-Jacob - ***1/2.

5019.12.2024ejr63096.0Just very underwhelming show overall, The HIAC match was basically my match of the year with all the violence and brutality, the women's match that came after was a fun botchfest (never thought I would say that hahaha) Priest vs Balor was underwhelming and the other women's match was just a huge letdown. The main event was good but the main event spot wasn't deserved over that HIAC match, especially because now we know the Rock appearance meant nothing.

5409.12.2024boymeetsworld4.0The problem with 5-match formula that WWE uses these days, is that if one match stinks up the joint it already sticks out like a sore thumb, but if two matches fail to deliver then it hurts even whatever good stuff that happened. Punk/McIntyre was easily the best match here, Priest/Balor and Main Event made babyfaces look strong and good, but both women's matches sent women's pro-wrestling back a few years thanks to hilariously bad performance by Nia Jax and that Dominik Mysterio taking the center stage in a Women's World Title match.
5507.12.2024Macca6667.0Punk Vs. McIntyre[9] - One of the best HIAC matches in recent history. Jax Vs. Bayley[5] - Not bad but Tiffany's involvement was very predictable. Priest Vs Balor[6] - Poor build up led to a boring match. Morgan Vs Ripley[5] - Should have been great, but was boring and the botched ending didn't help. Roman & Cody Vs Solo & Jacob[7] - Nothing special about this one, Jimmy's return was awesome, as was the rare appearance from The Rock who had a cryptic message for Roman.
5607.12.2024DanTalksRasslin6.0The Hell in a Cell match was the real highlight here - even despite the feud losing a bit of steam with the unnecessary introduction of the bracelet angle, and despite, for that matter, than I'm not exactly a Punk fan to begin with, this feud-ender was undoubtedly excellent and easily on the short-list of best WWE matches of the year. The rest of the show, though, was a bit more average - Priest vs. Balor and Cody/Roman vs New Bloodline were decent; Jax vs Bayley was OK especially as Nia Jax matches go, and I didn't think Ripley vs Morgan was nearly as bad as the consensus, even with its plethora of overbooking. But a lot of those matches felt like they could've been fine as high-profile Raw/Smackdown bouts as much as PPV matches. I wonder if the show would've gone down better had Cody/Roman vs Bloodline opened and the HIAC closed.

5905.12.2024Fakhruddin Hawari8.0This is a two match show. Most of the positives came from the Hell in a Cell match which arguably is match of the year. Then in the main event we got two biggest superstar in WWE teamed up and satisfy the crowd plus Jimmy return. The Rock made shocking appearance only to give some mysterious gestures. The other matches were mixed with one of them the atrocious Liv VS Rhea.

6103.12.2024JordanLC966.0This show is the definition of a one match show, and boy was that match great. Excellent HIAC match to open the show but unfortunately nothing else on this show comes close to it. 2 bad womens matches (especially the botched finish in Liv Vs Rhea), a boring Priest Vs Finn match and a main event that was boring until the final 10 minutes. Previously weve seen the benefits of a 5-match card, this was the opposite. I think if the HIAC match main evented this wouldnt feel as bad as it did. (6/10)
6203.12.2024bostonpizza776.0This show is an incredibly mixed bag. The HIAC match was obviously the highlight of the night, and was a beautiful return to form when it comes to what made HIAC feel so special in its infancy. It's at the very least a top 3 match WWE has had this year. The problem becomes the overall average feeling of the rest of the event. Nia vs Bayley was fine, if not a little sloppy. I appreciate Nia trying to expand her move set, but it simply didn't come off well. Other comments have already mentioned Nia's horrific hurricanrana. The Tiffany cash-in tease did save it somewhat, however. Finn vs Damian was also just average, but it didn't feel like it deserved a spot on a PPV. It feels like Judgment Day storyline is running fairly stale. It would help if Finn Balor actually got a win once in a while to feel like a credible threat. I understand the sentiment for Rhea vs Liv, but I don't think it's getting the credit it deserves. The match was quite strong until the botched finish. While the main event was enjoyable, it was solid rather than spectacular. The Rock's appearance at the end is what everyone was waiting for. Many argue that the HIAC should've been the main event, but I don't think there's really a right answer. It's kind of a damned if you do, damned if you don't situation. Otherwise, the Crown Jewel announcement, while I don't mind the idea, features one of the most hideous championship belts the universe has ever laid eyes upon. Gunther and Goldberg were legitimately entertaining. Gunther's mic work with his snarky confidence works well because he has the ability to back it up. Ultimately, this is a one, maybe two match show. The HIAC made everything after feel worse by comparison, even if The Rock's appearance is main event worthy. It wasn't a waste of time, but it certainly isn't a must watch, or something to go back to with regularity.

6830.11.2024Gerdo6.0Boooooring. The opener was the best match of the night by far and maybe the best match of the year, after that it was almost over. Balor vs Priest wasn't bad but wasn't even that good, especially for the ending. Nia vs Bayley was bad, while and the ending of Liv vs Rhea ruined that match, which was already ugly. The main event was all about star power. Jimmy's return was the best thing.

7019.11.2024Chedwards5.02 great matches sandwiching 3 subpar... or just bad matches. That was the best HiaC match I've ever seen, no joke. Punk doesn't have much left in the tank, and this clearly drained him, but one more for the books. Add yet ANOTHER classic to the Bloodline saga. Both women's matches were not good. So many better choices than Raquel to be involved in this feud, but ig the history makes it make sense. Finn Balor could've won this, but they need to let Finn be a real heel, not a chickenshit heel

7217.11.2024CMFunk0076.0An underwhelming show with one great match, one good one, and the rest shitty. The middle section of this Live Event was a struggle to get through, but the Punk/Drew match and the Bloodline stuff was great. I don't think I'll ever seek out this PPV unless to rewatch Punk's match, so I can't give it high ranks due to the shit like Nia Jax on the card.

7510.11.2024Willie 192006.0This show honestly was super underwhelming. I give 5 out of the six points to Drew vs Punk putting on an absolute classic but every other match was super Luke warm. Bayley vs Nia was okay, Priest vs Balor had good in-ring work but a lame ending, Rhea vs Liv sucked and the main event was kinda lame not gonna lie. Overall lame show except Punk vs Drew is one of my favorite matches of all time.

8201.11.2024Frank Shooter6.0WWE conformism strikes once again. They had some much potential with practically all the matches here, and they didn't fully pull the trigger on them. Instead, they put together this lame amalgam of smoke and mirrors to make the PPV look more epic and important than it truly is (The Big 3 as hosts just for lame segments, showing a parade of contracted legends and awful present-day rappers, the Crown Jewel titles and Gunther promo, and the botchy and crappy Cody Rhodes band entrance). Stealing the main event away from the Hell In A Cell match just to have a Rock appearance that hasn't been addressed yet is the worst thing of the show. The match that featured the Bad Blood theme, the Cell, the best rivalry of the year, is relegated to the consolation spot of opening the show just because of an appearance that could happen at Crown Jewel without a problem. Speaking specifically about the Cell match, it was a complete war that I'm thankful for allowing the wrestlers to bleed like dying pigs, but just like I've been feeling about the feud since a little before SummerSlam, there was something that was lacking in the match. During most part of it I thought that, despite all the violence being displayed, there wasn't a true conductive thread behind it until the last 5 minutes. All the real storytelling and psychology happened right there. Still a great match and one of the best uses of the stipulation in a very long time. Nia vs Bayley was hurt because of Nia's lack of talent. She tries, she has the will to do her best, but she simply can't, and Bayley can't do miracles, so all her trying to make Nia look good isn't enough. I think the moment we saw here with Tiffany Stratton should've been the first time it happened that instead of the many times we saw that angle being already done. The Priest vs Bálor match is the ultimate way of saying "we don't give a damn about this, but we do care for Priest". They had such a deep story that wasn't properly told and explored and the match was just like that. It didn't look like it was a rivalry at all here, just like it was some random RAW match. Rhea vs Liv wasn't any better, and it only relied on how much Rhea, Dom and soap-operas draw. When it comes to the in-ring stuff, it went from less to more, started really boring and ended up on a good note before the nonsensical referee bias towards Rhea and the botchy ending by Raquel Rodríguez. Dom was funny the whole time. The only good thing about the Triple H segment was Gunther owning Goldberg. Everything else was either mid or pure trash. The Crown Jewel titles are such an stupid idea and hearing fans chanting for Goldberg in the year of our lord 2024 is equally crap. The main event was also a really big missed chance to do a great, even legendary match. You have such a beast like Jacob Fatu and you don't let him go to his fullest, you have Cody Rhodes relegated to a supporting actor role, you don't try to tell the same story of tension between Roman and Cody in the ring that you told with the stadium segment. Instead, you go with the typical Bloodline match. 5 minute staredowns, slow as hell pacing, the most basic form of wrestling and main event spots. Why can't we have a true banger of a match when the easier way works either way? I hate that way of thinking. Was it a bad PPV? Not at all, it wasn't boring to watch and the matches were decent, but saying more about this is being as conformist as WWE is with their product.

9126.10.2024ReverseFlash20029.0I thought Bad Blood was amazing and I was there in person. Punk & Mcintyre was amazing and the best HIAC match in years. Balor Vs Priest was also a good match but I felt Balor should have won. Ripley & Liv was a good in ring match up until the finish. The main event was amazing and a very good performance by all 4 men. It was great to see The Rock make hes return and setup stories going into WrestleMania 41.

9523.10.2024swagking493077.0This was a good or average show largely carried around the punk vs McIntyre he'll in a cell match, what a bloodbath and what a war , all the spots moments violence weapons, it's everything we expected for the ending match of this heated rivalry. This match will be remembered for ages and a perfect match to show people who are not interested in wrestling. My least favorite match is Rhea vs Liv , the in ring work wasn't that bad , the work was fine and they delivered a okay in ring match, the main problem which is a huge problem is the atrocious booking of this match, why would rhea stop trying to win the title just to hit her ex with a kendo stick. Raquel coming back also fell flat , and I hated the finish. Match ratings: Punk vs McIntyre 9/10 , Nia Jax vs Bayley 6/10 , Damian vs Balor 5/10, Rhea vs Liv 5/10 , Cody and Roman vs The Bloodline 7/10.
9623.10.2024MCSPICY9.0Great show overall with the best opening match of the year and I would say if not for the bloodline mania matches it would be the best of the year. I enjoyed the main event, it wasn't a superb in ring match but great storytelling and fan service. Mid card was mid but the epic opening and end to the night gives it a 9 in my book.

9822.10.2024WeTooDeep10.0This was one of the best event I have watched since starting to watch wrestling again. As a more casual fan, this show hit the thing that I love the most. STORYTELLING! . Every match told a story and help push other plot point in the existing story. I typically do not come to this site, fan opinion while important is very subjective. With that being said I find it very interesting at the ratings of the individual matches. Punk versus Drew, was the best hardcore match of the decade. It relied solely on the existing storyline and did not need stupid spots to get a pop. A match can only be as good as the story that surrounds it. This had the elements of storytelling that made you understand the reason the match was happening and why each superstar felt the way they did about the other. The bead spot was perfect use of the existing narrative to enhance the bout. Everything about this match was perfect to me. This is a generational match, 12/10. Let's be honest nothing in the world could have followed the opener, with that in mind and the progression of the Tiffany/Nia story this match is catching way to much hate. Was this a classic? No. But it was not awful either. This match had a few botches that was laughable. I can overlook that because I do not watch wrestling for the X's and O's, but rather for the storytelling. This accomplished what I believe it set out to accomplish, so for that I give it a 8/10. Damien vs Finn, probably was the match I was least looking forward too. However, there is still a level of storytelling here that made this feel palatable. The "you used to be my brother" story is well developed and will continue to grow as I believe the end of this feud will be Survivor Series. Having the Judgement Day attack is an added plus. Do you all really not understand what the Judgement Day is now? They are the chickenS**t heels who bend the rules and still think they are hot stuff. This fits the narrative. 8/10 Rhea vs Liv had one goal in mind. Return Raquel Rodriguez. When you watch this match with that in mind, I believe you can enjoy this match more. Again not the greatest X's and O's performance, but it was not supposed to be the entire match led to a plot point. The Judgement Day had new muscle. With that in mind, this match accomplished it's goal. I will give it a 8/10. Finally we get to the main event. Cody may be champion, but our Real Tribal Chief, Roman Reigns is still the face of the company. Roman is on a whole other level. This may be premature but he is truly the greatest of all time. Cody played his role in progessing the Bloodline narrative. This was not about Cody. This was family business. The better Uso, Jimmy, finally came home and helped secure a win for his Tribal Chief. We then get a return of the Final Boss. We are not sure what his motives are, but as he said on his social media promo, when he is ready he will tell us. This was a perfect ending to a great night. 12/10. Adding a potential Goldberg match is awesome. As for the new Crown Jewel Championship. This just makes it more important to be champion in November. Imagine this as WWE's new Super Bowl Ring. This event locked in the PLE of the Year, Locked up the Match of the Year and locked up the Feud of the Year. Not just in WWE, but in the whole industry for the year 2024.
