[7.0] "Two great matches made an otherwise simply 'alright' show pretty good. Kid vs Yoshino was another of their usual fast-paced affairs with heaps of creatives spots. They didn't do anything truly great, but they still produced a lot of really good moments. ***1/4 - ***1/2. Akuma & Yamato vs Jigsaw & Quackenbush was an alright tag. A few awkward, miscommunicated moments, but mostly a lot of smooth and impactful exchanges. ***. Danielson vs Doi was simply great. They both could have sold a lot better, but other than that, they both displayed fantastic technique, speed, and impact. Danielson especially stood out with his trademark brutal holds and strikes, and Doi played a really good heel to counter him and his strong crowd support. ****. Kendrick vs Cima was so disappointing to see after the the great previous match. Kendrick's heel work was fine and he bumped well enough. The real appeal was Cima's charisma and physical energy, though. **3/4. Davey vs Shingo was awesome, and it's actually one of my favourite DG matches alongside Shingo vs Hulk from Kobe World 2008. Yeah, the selling could have been better at points, but it was mostly fine, and the real appeal here was seeing the ridiculous physicality of all the big bombs these two traded. The intensity was off the charts, and this truly felt like an epic battle. They had distinctly different styles, yet they both connected with the same displays of power and passion. ****1/4. Horiguchi & Saito vs The Young Bucks had a lot to live up to following that match, and it really didn't some anywhere close at all. The Bucks did their usual fine tag spots, and the heels had some nicely creative and well-executed moments of their own, but this definitely felt like too much of a heartless spotfest without any real sense of urgency, and the screwed finish made this extra underwhelming. ***. Definitely at least check out those Doi vs Danielson and Davey vs Shingo matches, and maybe the opener."

[9.0] "Another fucking awesome show from DGUSA in 2009. To think this company started out so hot. The Kendrick match was not very good but four of the matches on the card are great and with two match of the year contenders on the show this is an easy recommendation. Two Thumbs Up"
