[8.0] "Pretty good show all things considered Bloodline tag match **3/4 Women's fatal four way tag match **** Seth vs Bronson ***3/4 Liv vs Nia **3/4 La Knight vs Andrade vs Melo ****1/4 Kevin Randy angle ****1/4 (sucks we didn't get the match at mania, get well soon Kevin) Cody vs Gunther ****1/2"
[8.0] "(7.7/10) Can you believe that there was a time when a show of this quality would've been an all time PPV for WWE. That just shows the kind of supreme product that WWE has produced in the last couple of years. Sure, it was not on the level of Mania XL or SummerSlam Cleveland or Backlash France, and yes it was filler, but (as I had said in one of my reviews on one of the card's matches) this was filler when filler is greatness."
[7.0] "A pretty good show. The opener was whatever but the post-match stuff ruled with the tension between Sami & Roman. The Womens Tag 4 Way blew away my expectations tbh and it was much better than I expected, Seth vs Bronson was also good and helped Bronson look like a monster even in a loss, Liv vs Nia was really bad as I expected, definitely wasnt worthy for how theyre trying to build these Crown Jewel title belts. The KO/Randy segment was a great pivot as neither of them could afford a PPV loss, as well as the segment just overall being great. The triple threat was a fun sprint which shouldve gotten more time imo as well as a different winner, and the main event was great too, with an underlying story of Gunthers over-reliance on the sleeper because he wanted to decisively choke Cody out, but Cody finding his way out each and every time, eventually leading to the rollup. Overall, a good show especially considering the expectations coming in. BL trios - **3/4, Womens Tag - ***1/2, Seth/Bronson - ***1/2, Liv vs Nia - *3/4, LA/Melo/Andrade - ***3/4, Cody/Gunther - ***3/4."
[6.0] "The bloodline opener was fun, really enjoyed the Sami cameo, the Cody Gunther match is well wrestlked I just didnt care, main issue for me with this PLE, the 2 biggest matches were for titles that are such obvious plastic bullocks, wasn't able to get invested but it is hard to not feel happy for Liv. Seth Bronson was good but the wrong winner imo, having Bronson go over would've added some real credibility to him as a performer. The US title match had an excellent winner, but inserting LA Knight as a third wheel into the fantastic best of 7 series was awkward at best, and an uninspiring women's tag match. Fine show but very missable."
[3.0] "Shit, fuck me.Honestly this current run of ples is pissing me off. These last 3 ples Bad Blood, Halloween Havoc and now this one and all of these could have been great.First match, copy paste Bloodline match and i don't give 2 bout Sami Zayn and flip me can't Jimmy break up a fucking pin.Its scripted get your fucking cue and go do your job man.The women's tag title match, there was a botch in there but that's because of the attire rules I'm not going into because I've already swared too much in this review.Rollins vs Reed, eh not too bad.Morgan vs Jax mid and frustrating that they didn't pull the fucking trigger on Tiffany Stratton. And wtf happened with Orton and Owens.Good Brawl so crap how they just cut it off tv like that.Us title match, best match of the night but maybe it could've been Carmelos crowning moment.Cody vs Gunther should have been better. Its sport entertainment okay! Not fucking olympic shit they be trying in this main event.Come on Paul, come on creative sort out your creative game please because i love this promotion and I won't stop loving it but please sort this shit out.Overall, bad show."
[8.0] "People love underrating Crown Jewel Shows! Outside an obviously average match between Liv Morgan and Nia Jax it's a strong show with a nice opener and a great main event as well as a strong triple threat to make it a strong show even if most the results were predictable"
[6.0] "Good show I guess, underwhelmed for sure though, the 6-man tag was decent I guess. The women's tag title match was good, same with Seth vs Bronson. The Liv match wasn't that impressive. I hate that Kevin vs Randy never happened as I was really excited to see that happen. The last two matches were the best of the card in my opinion."
[6.0] "This show wasn't as bad as people say it is, but it still wasn't the best. Cody vs Gunther is obvious MOTN and the United States Title Triple Thret is a close second. Rollins vs Reed was really good and the rest were alright except Liv and Nia sucked. I wish I enjoyed this show more but I really didn't, Randy and Kevins brawl was fun but would much rather prefer a match between them. Overall an alright show."
[6.0] "Unfortunately this PLE follows in the footsteps of every other terrible Saudi event. The triple threat match and the main event were the only two decent matches, everything else was mediocre."
[5.0] "A really mediocre and complacient show. Clearly Triple H doesn't care about these Saudi shows and just goes to fulfill the contract and come back with some good petrodollars under his wing. Really lazy booking in most of the matches, in any different way. The opener match just lives on the aura of the OG Bloodline. Really basic, slow and boring in-ring work and a very anticlimatic finish. Women's tag match was a plain spotfest that, despite some good little details, the overall quality of the match was barely decent and nothing great happened in there. The Meta-Girls showed themselves as two of the most improved wrestlers today, Chelsea and Piper keep being hella entertaining, the Sky Pirates putting the work once again and Bianca carrying the untalented Jade yet again. Rollins vs Bronson told a pretty good story with a quite boring performance. Those two can do way better than that for sure, and I think a Bronson victory would've been a better result as he would've gain much more from it than Rollins would've lost. The Women's Crown Jewel title match was being such a big surprise for me, as I didn't expect Liv Morgan and Nia Jax of all people working that well, but the same shenanigans being played once again on both sides just killed the vibe and made the match look trash. I would've preferred having Orton and KO having a proper match than just the generic brawl template being replayed once again (wrestlers brawling until referees and producers "try" to separate them, only for being attacked by them. Randy RKO-ing Adam Pearce was orgasmic though, that idiot deserved it for not running his show properly. There wasn't anything innovative about that. Yes, it goes well with their grudge feud, but I think it doesn't make the story go as deep as it really should. Then, we move to the really good stuff in this show. First, the US Title match. 9 minutes that felt like they were 15 in a good way, as Melo and Andrade once again created a magical performance that was aided with the presence of the charismatic LA Knight. He wasn't on par with his challengers, but he wasn't a hindrance either. Then, the main event. Two wrestlers of such pedigree that are all about tradition being adapted to the current era can't go wrong, and the in-ring performance wasn't disappointing, but the nature of the match prevented it from being far better as there were no real big stakes and there was no deeper rivalry between them. While his loss was kinda protected, I still feel Gunther comes out of this looking bad as World Champion, as he still lost clean to the other World Champion of the company, and in this business, and specially this company, perception is even more important than real talent. If just WWE tried to really care about doing a great show there wouldn't be anyone that can compete with them in terms of quality content. This was just a quite lazy show."
[5.0] "opening match was bad, if you liked this match, probably you are an roman reigns fan, as the matter of fact, Roman Reigns was terrible in that match. Also get him pinned was a great idea for this feud and the rematch at survivor series. Women's Tag team match was not good, there was no pop for the women matches and that shows how terrible saudi crowd is, tired of belair and cargill, title must change and belair must get rid off jade cargill. the match between seth and reed was just fine, glad to see rollins win. Women's match was dissapointment, I think we're gonna wait for a very long time for cash-in. randy vs kevin wasn't even a match :), cannot made a comment about that. US Title triple threat match was the best match in this ppv (except the botch from LA Knight). And the main event, in normal conditions that would be one of the best matches in wwe history, it was a wine match but I think we're not going to talk about this match in the future, plus the finish was really awful. It was a bad ppv but not a disaster like mitb."
[7.0] "One of the best Arabian PLEs. Leaving the women's matches aside, it gave us a great opener thanks to the Bloodline's story and Sami's reunion, Rollins and Reed destroying each other in the mid-card before Owens and Orton didn't have their match due to the hate they have for the other, which was a great way to handle their feud. The triple threat was sooo nice (for me with the wrong winner but it's just me, maybe). Loved the main event, the shame was the price, nobody but the Arabians cared about those titles. The fatal 4-way and Liv vs Morgan ruined an 8 rating with their awful matches."
"(7.0) A good show with some inconsistencies but overall a good PPV. I think the opener could be 3 minutes less and those minutes should be given to the USA title match"
[4.0] "Morgan vs Jax was the most underwhelming match I think I've ever seen. US Title match might have been the match of the night, Andrade is the best wrestler on the planet, holy sh*t. Bloodline did Bloodline things. Now to my biggest gripe of the night... why the hell did Gunther take a CLEAN pin... in roll up fashion. Gunther should have went over in this match, especially for him being one of the most "Final Boss" workers in WWE today, he should have beaten Cody. Gunther should have left with the win. Enough said"
[8.0] "Honestly I dont understand why people around here hate that show so much. I cant get it. Bloodline thing was Bloodline thing. Great entertainment. Sami was not a surprise, but I LOVED the production of this segment and the kick surprised me. Good job, and shout out to WWEs production team. The Womens Tag Match delivered far more than expected. Reed and Rollins match is for me probably the best of the card even tho Rollins winning may be burying Reeds career a bit early. Liv and Jax was ok. Not incredible, but fine. I love to see Owens devious side expressed more and more every week. The match not happening was a disappointment but a great deal at the end of the day. Bittersweet here. Triple threat was a banger. Not more to say. Just go watch it. The main-event wont satisfy those AEW Fans. Obviously no blood or will to do too much. Just pure wrestling classic. However a bit slow some times and the end came abruptly. The fact the match had no real significance made it more boring in my opinion. The show was really great, not the best of the year indeed, but love to see Saudi shows are just shows like others. Enjoyed it !"
[9.0] "Overall, I thought that this was an absolutely incredible show with one bad match. Everything else was just packed full of quality and entertainment and furthing stories to make the next few months of WWE product so intriguing and fun to watch. It genuinely feels weird to be so excited for WWE television, even after a few years of Triple H run creative. It's so exciting and refreshing to see so many people getting focus and stories and characters and just stuff to do. Very big thumbs up."
[6.0] "Dragged down a lot by the overall Crown Jewel title being meaningless and stakeless (plus that Liv and Nia match was truly terrible) but I had a surprising amount of fun with this show overall. Three great matches, that triple threat in particular being a highlight, and a fun brawl in the middle. Too much BS to wade through for me to fully recommend but the actual match quality here is a cut above the average WWE PPV recently."
[6.0] "Mostly decent action here. Cody vs Gunther in the main event was good stuff; of course it can be argued who should have won, but the way the finish was handled kept everyone looking strong so I don't think anyone would have been hurt no matter which way it went (and, of course, despite the champion vs. champion intrigue, the only thing really on the line was a made-up title that will never leave Saudi Arabia and has a decent chance of never being mentioned again like the Greatest Royal Rumble title anyway). Knight vs Andrade vs Hayes was also very good and had a cool finish. Rollins vs Reed was solid and did a decent job of keeping Reed looking strong in defeat. Morgan vs Jax was the only real letdown; the other matches were all fine if not really remarkable. A solid show overall that didn't necessarily rise above that level at any point."
[7.0] "I'm gonna give this an 7/10; I thought every match was decent to great, with a fantastic main event. Bloodline did their usual stuff, but the story of Jey and Roman not being on the same page is good (especially ironic given Roman had better synergy with Cody). Fatal Four Way Tag team was clunky and chaotic, but hella fun despite it. Seth vs. Bron was surprisingly strong for the only non-title match here, and Bron looked like a demon even in defeat; the visual of him rising after Seth's stomps was insane. Nia vs. Liv was fine and way too overbooked, but I expected worse tbh. Randy/KO didn't even happen and its probably being saved for a Street Fight at Survivor Series . US title Triple threat was actually extremely good and Andrade and Melo showed they belonged, but I was pushing for Melo. Main event was fantastic as I expected and a MOTY contender, and the insane part is that it didn't even feel like this was everything these two could produce. 100% a main event for a Wrestlemania in the future."
[8.0] "This was a good PPV, and I truly don't understand the low rating. Cody vs. Gunther was amazing, Seth vs. Reed was great, the three way tag match was a blast, the US triple threat was amazing, and while the other 3 may be seen as disappointments, Randy vs. KO was a fun brawl that will grow the story going forward. The other two were mediocre to me, but two mediocre matches dont ruin a card with 4/6 actual matches being great."
[6.0] "The WWE Women's Tag Title fatal four way is solid, Rollins Vs Reed is good, LA Knight Vs Andrade Vs Hayes is really amazing and Cody Vs Gunther is fantastic, but Bloodline 1.0 Vs Bloodline 2.0 is disappointing, Liv Vs Nia is just awful, Orton Vs Owens was demoted into a brawl and the booking was too hit and miss with the selection of match winners and both men's and women's champion vs champion matches being contested over belts and rings that truly don't matter. Overall WWE Crown Jewel (2024) is a decent show, but the in ring product and especially the booking is hit and miss."
[6.0] "In ring wise WWE has been phoning it in all year only 2 or 3 match of the year contenders and in their ples it is very much showing because you never leave a ple and say someone in the main event scene really showed put idk know if it's the producers telling them not to go all out or they are complacent atp I'm growing more tired of their ppv set ups, and Roman Reigns has kind of been lazy these days and where are the Tag Team Championships for the dudes they haven't been defended on a ppv since wrestlemania there should be more balance"
[8.0] "I think this show is underrated. Initially I wanted to give 7 but I understand that it's "Crown Jewel". So it's good show for Saudi. There's a stinker, Liv Morgan VS Nia Jax. Also there's an underwhelming 3-man tag team which did'nt need to happen but it's for Sami. The Fatal 4 Way and Bronson VS Seth were solid and good. Great brawl between Kevin Owens and Randy Orton. I'm happy to see Pearce got an RKO. The last two matches were great and ended the show on high note. Plus the Saudi crowd has been better and louder now."
[6.0] "Not as bad as people are saying it is. The opener was pretty good, the main event was great, rollins v reed and the triple threat were good too. However, the women's tag match was sloppy as can be and Liv v Nia was incredibly mediocre. Not a bad show but it wasn't great either. With that being said, probably the best saudi ple ever."
[4.0] "Really frustrating show from a wrestling promotion that just refuses to prioritize good wrestling and instead encourages uninspired matches where the crowd can cheer catchphrases. The main event is the only standout match because it just had rock solid performances from both guys and they didn't have to work around any ridiculous overbooking obstacles. The opener is the biggest feud in wrestling and they just had a nothing tag match that doesn't help anybody look better. The four-way was as sloppy as wrestling can be at this level. And the Jax/Morgan match is an abysmal excuse for wrestling, again because of the kindergarten storytelling."
[8.0] "Very underrated show which delivered every single thing it was supposed to outside of the rather poor Liv Morgan/Nia Jax match, opener was very good even if they were holding back a bit as the feud hasnt gone on for long with The Usos returning, the womens tag match flew by and from them on every match was strong especially the main event which is criminally underrated on the basis people think it didnt need to happen yet"
[7.0] "Jacob Fatu, Solo Sikoa & Tama Tonga vs Jey Uso, Jimmy Uso & Roman Reigns: A fine way to start the PLE, The OG Bloodline obviously not being on the same page did factor into their loss, the match in itself was fine to be honest, this match and the post match angle are potentially to set up WarGames later in the month [***]. Bianca Belair & Jade Cargill vs Chelsea Green & Piper Niven vs IYO SKY & Kairi Sane vs Jakara Jackson & Lash Legend: Jackson and Legend shined in this one, all four teams had their moment, there were a few botches however but they were worked in well [***]. Seth Rollins vs Bronson Reed: They started by brawling before the match even began, the match was good to be fair, Rollins getting the win was okay but would like to have seen Reed win, Rollins hitting a super stomp for the win was cool to watch [***]. Liv Morgan vs Nia Jax: A terrible match, nothing interesting happened, the interferences from Tiffany Stratton when she twice tried to cash in her MITB case was absurd, Raquel Rodriguez and Dominik Mysterio helping Liv to win was absurd and should not have happened [DUD]. LA Knight vs Andrade vs Carmelo Hayes: For a match that went just over 9 minutes, this match was good to watch, all three delivered what they could, wish they had more time this would have been even better [***]. Cody Rhodes vs Gunther: What a match! These two proved why they are two of the best in WWE today, great chemistry, great exchanges and a great reaction from the crowd in Saudi Arabia, MOTN by far, enjoyed it more than I thought I would [****1/2]"
[7.0] "Great show! Roman Reigns & The Usos vs. The Bloodline was good, but Sami Zayn coming out after the match was yawn, but the match was good. Bianca & Jade vs. Chelsea & Piper Niven s. Damage CTRL vs. Meta-Four was okay. Seth Rollins vs. Bronson Reed was horrible. Bronson Reed ended up having a bad match with Seth Rollins. How do you even do that? Nia Jax vs. Liv Morgan was also pretty yawn, but at least Nia didn't win. Kevin Owens vs. Randy Orton didn't end up being able to get a match, but they had a really fun brawl! LA Knight vs. Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes was also good, but felt kind of short. Cody vs. Gunther, though, was really good. It was a really good match, and Cody Rhodes won. Overall, though, this match was a great show. 7/10"
[5.0] "Soulless like every Saudi event, this had good moments and very bad moments, but overall it was a mediocre filler. Three bad matches and three good ones, and a really good angle between Owens and Orton, the match that didn't happened, and will not appear on any spreadsheet, but that was incredible, probably the best moment of the event. Unfortunately we will have to keep watching this Saudi shows for quite some time, I hope that they stop going there when the deal ends, it's really weird, but the crowd wasn't bad, though. I thought the results here were terrible, I didn't agreed with basically none of them, but some are acceptable, and others aren't. The Bloodline stuff was really disappointing, even the post-match angle with Sami Zayn wasn't effective, it was supposed to be a great moment and it was, but didn't fully clicked with me."
[4.0] "This is by far and a way, the worst PPV that I have personally watched this year. Most matches massively under delivered, the crowd repeatedly showed their complete disrespect for the Womens matches (one of which was wildly entertaining) and this whole thing felt like WWE just going through the motions and getting the bag. Far too often this year they have insulted our intelligence and this was as egregious an example as it gets. The Bloodline opener and the Morgan match in particular were poor offerings. I really dislike Saudi Season and Ill be glad once its done. A poor showing all around."
[5.0] "These shows are always a little useless, but this one more than the rest. None of the matches were necessary, only some were okay, most were fine or worse, house show level matches. And yet this is the only non mania show this year with more than 5 matches. I felt the variety, better than the other PLEs, a lot better. If only the matches were good!"
[5.0] "WWE has recently seen a trend with their PLEs each being greater than the sum of their parts, with many intriguing stories and some solid, if not spectacular in ring action to make for a worth while show. On paper, this looked like it could be one of WWEs more promising cards this year, with more matches on offer and some intriguing stories to play with. However, this event felt far more obligatory than a show dedicated to blowing off major feuds and having quality matches. Dont get me wrong, the matches were at a relatively good standard, with nothing outright bad, but it seemed as though there could have been so many more moments involving both champion v. champion matches, the Bloodline six-man tag, and the Kevin Owens v. Randy Orton match that never officially got started. Maybe I was expecting too much, but I was certain we would see a Tiffany Stratton cash-in, some shenanigans in the main event to further Cody Rhodes on going feuds, and maybe some more consequences involving the Bloodline story. Overall, there still were some good moments like Sami Zayn coming out to save the OG Bloodline before accidentally striking Roman, Solo pinning Reigns, and Bronson Reed seemingly fully established as a main player, but still not enough to carry Crown Jewel into a cant miss event."
[5.0] "First bloodline vs bloodline match : Slow start because of the story that is told, they teased Reigns into the ring, and when he enter he indeed accelerate, then a botch of the referee lol ? And with two samoan spikes Reigns is gone, the heck is this match, it was super slow and way too cinematic, i know they just cook for the wargames but still, overall not a good match, and at the end an entrance of Zayn who perhaps will get into the bloodline wargame match who knows. Then the Fatal4Way for the women tag team championship : Fast start, then slower parts, overall an alright match but sadly a lot of botched spots Rollins vs Bronson Reeds : A match that is slow but logically, it's the fast champion vs the slow giant. A bit slow but a nice finish and overall okay match. Womens CvsC : The whole stuff with Stratton's contract is funny, a pretty alright match even tho perhaps a bit slow ? But it's a Nia Jax match so it makes sense. Owens vs Orton : Owens being crazy and turning on everyone, crazy spots very violent and a drop from the stairs, and the match cuts ... What ? So the first really good match is cut short because of reasons i'm not aware of. Then Carmelo vs Andrade vs Knight Triple Threat for the US title : 3 very good wrestlers, good chemistry with a lot of nice fast spots, a good double pin try from Knight ! A little botch from Knight , ouch , then a good german superplex and a good blackjack from Carmelo ! And the double BFT for the end ! A very good match finally in this PLE. Mens CvsC : a suuuuper sloooowwww start with a lot of strengh shown, because it's logical when you look at how the two champions are booked but it's a bit boring, after the match became more interesting, and a sleeper hold from Gunther (seriously ? ) Cody doesn't make it with his crossrhodes, but with a surprise he pin Gunther, a pretty ok match not the best tho because it's imo super slow. Overall a pretty meh PLE, the real crown jewel of this crown jewel is the US title match, the rest was either slow because the match is too psychological, slow because there are big wrestlers, or one good match that got cut short. A 5/10 will sadly do it because it seem like WWE "tried" some of the stories here to see if the people would like it, and we sure know that all of those stories will continue in the future, almost like Saudi Arabia forced the WWE to throw in the hotest storylines and the match looked dull, slow and except the US title you can't help but skip forward."
[6.0] "A dense show with many good matches and only one big miss. Most of the matches were fairly short but well executed, apart from a few small botches that didn't greatly affect the quality of the show. In-ring quality: 3.25/5 Outside the ring, Sami Zayn made a nice surprise entrance, and the overbooking of the women's match had its effect, despite its excessive prominence in the middle of the clash between Liv and Nia. The Owens-Orton brawl acted as an angle in place of the advertised bout, not a bad idea for prolonging the rivalry without artifice. Finally, the crowd was very vocal during the entrances and the main event, but rather muted during the other matches. This remains one of the best atmospheres of the year in PLE. That said, the choice of making belts whose main purpose seems to be to please the bloodthirsty Saudi rulers is a real problem, and the end of the show in the form of dirty political congratulations was truly despicable. Angles and segments: 1.5/3 Bonus/Malus (+/- 2 max.): Good atmosphere +0.25; Belt of dirty money and glorification of Saudi leaders at the end of the show -1. Total: 6/10 Show seen on the WWE Network."
[8.0] "This really was a good show. After the PLE series, where only 5 matches took place, this show felt like a breath of fresh air, no. of a long drawn out match, the timings were set correctly. Only one match was a failure, but the subsequent matches brightened up the show. This PLE only convinced me that there should be more than 5 matches on the show"
[7.0] "I'll be completely honest: as an Arab and Muslim, I've seen many Crown Jewel shows over the years, many of which felt like a joke and just got worse. However, I have to admit that this year's Crown Jewel has significantly improved and was better than previous editions. At least we got to enjoy some decent matches, and the storylines have evolved in ways that keep us interested, especially with the Bloodline saga and the heat between Randy and Kevin. That said, if I'm being objective and comparing it to the regular monthly shows, I'd rate it around 6.5 out of 10, maybe even 7. The last two matches were particularly good, and I also want to commend the Saudi audience, who have really come a long way and brought a lot of enthusiasm to the event. They were definitely one of the highlights of the show."
[4.0] "When you look at the complete card, you will realise that 3 matches + Owens/Orton segment were good and 2 matches were bad. On a normal PLE, the rating for this one would be higher. However, saudi PLE rhymes with "pointless" and "money", even Cody and Liv reward is a one night belt that won't go back to the US. Nothing happened, everything was useless, we will just remember the good triple threat + Cody/Gunther being a nice confrontation."
[5.0] "Most average PLE they've done this year. There was at best couple good matches but the show just felt very boring. Majority of the Saudi Arabia PLE have been very mediocre and nothing notable happening. Survivor Series is coming up which I'm very excited for but like last year Crown Jewel mediocre like this year event."
[6.0] "Good for a Saudi show but still below an average for a normal HHH PLE. MOTN was Reed vs Rollins which had a great story but the wrong winner. Owens vs Orton was a fun segment as was Zayn getting more involved in the Bloodline story. Women still have to wear those ridiculous outfits which I blame for some of the botches in those matches."
[4.0] "With all the blood money thrown at Crown Jewel, WWE tried really hard to make this into a contender for Big Four (Five? Six? ) status. Instead, they created what anime fans would call a "beach episode". Because, as far as storylines go, we couldn't have too much progression with the Champion vs. Champion stipulations on one side, the need for a Survivor Series headline feud on the other, so filler feuds have been the chef's special for this PLE special, to mixed results. Like WWE's other international PLEs this year, you're not going to miss much if you decide to skip this show, but unlike Backlash and Bash, and more like Clash, you don't have the quality of wrestling as an incentive to watch it. But more than anything, this feels like a regression to the Saudi shows of old, where the purpose was more to launder MBS's reputation than put on a decent show. Cody and Liv won't even get to take the oversized belts out of Riyadh, that's how pointless those two matches were. Better than the duds of Full Senile Vince that we all choose to memory hole (D-X vs BoD, Goldberg vs the Fiend), but another warning sign is surely in construction above Stamford tonight."
[4.0] "The opening six man tag Bloodline match was alright, nothing special. Long and kind of boring, as the New Bloodline gets the win. The most interesting thing was the post-match with Sami (4.5/10). The women's tag team title match was decent. This had some good moments, but also some sloppy spots that brought things down. Bianca and Jade retain, which is a little disappointing because they're boring as champions (5.5/10). Rollins vs Bronson was solid. The brawl on the outside before the bell rang was pretty good and it set the tone for what kind of fight this was. Bronson looked strong and roughed up Rollins for a lot of the match, though things got slow at times. Rollins winning was the wrong move (6/10). Liv vs Nia was bad. A sloppy match where barely anything happened and had yet another failed cash in by Tiffany. Liv wins, nobody cares (2/10). Orton and Owens having a massive brawl instead of a match was I think the right way to go. It made Owens look more dangerous and builds up their feud for a bigger, more important show later. The triple threat for the US title was good and the best match of the show. It deserved more time. All three guys here worked well together and it went at a quick pace. LA Knight retained (7/10). The main event between Cody and Gunther was pretty good. I liked the story they told for the match, they worked very well together, but it went on for too long with some boring parts. Cody reversing the sleeper for the fluke pin was predictable and such a lame way to end the match. At least the Saudis got what they wanted out of it (6.5/10). Crown Jewel 2024 was a filler show going in and that's exactly what it was coming out. Nothing important happened, no title changes and there wasn't much story advancement. The match quality didn't make up for it, either. 4/10"
[6.0] "This was a very average ppv but a couple decent matches at least Cody gunther was decent but i did expect better given the two names involved my motn was the us title triple threat just a shame it didn't get another 5 more mins - seth v bronson was decent aswell- The womens tag was surprisingly decent but mainly carried by Iyo"
[7.0] "by general impressions PLE turned out to be not bad, there were both good and not so good fights, really cool atmosphere in the arena and in general everything turned out ok and was not boring."
[4.0] "This show was not very good; there were only two decent matches on it and it lasted a pretty long time. Randy Orton and Kevin Owens don't even get a real match, even though what they do with them is entertaining. The bloodline match is a bit of a snooze fest until you get to the afterbirth, and the women's matches are pretty crappy. Carmelo/Andrade should have been another singles match between the two of them, it didn't work quite as well as a triple threat and suffered from three way itis. The Cofy/Gunther match is good, but it's not worth watching the rest of this show to just to get to it. This whole ppv is a skipper really."
[8.0] "I have no idea how this show could possibly be rated so low? I thought this was great, particularly the main event, which I'd consider to be one of the best matches WWE has produced all year. I felt like everybody on their card was doing their absolute best to make an impression (I'd particularly like to make note of Lash & Jakara, who seem significantly better as a team than they ever did on NXT), and it lead to a series of spirited bouts throughout the night. There were a few moments that didn't quite work out where people became a bit over ambitious (LA Knight probably needs to give up on leaping to the top rope for a superplex at this stage), but overall I thought this was was a satisfying payoff (or continuation, in some cases) of all the weekly storylines leading into this event. The electric atmosphere helped, too. I have to imagine a big chunk of the low votes are due to the controversial nature of these Saudi Arabia shows, but judged purely on its own merit I thought this was a really enjoyable event."
[8.0] "Surprisingly good show here. Every match apart from Liv/Nia delivered or over-delivered. Yes, we all know the reason these shows even take place ($) and the crimes of the Saudi government, but the Saudi fans get better and better with every big show. They're clearly die hard fans now and they added a lot to the show. The main event was really good but I hoped for something even better. Very impressed by the women in the 4-way tag, the men in the US title triple threat... and Big Bronson Reed, who was on excellent form."
[6.0] "OK at least with this PLE unlike the one we got last month had the big matches at the end instead of at the beginning so there was a build where for the most part the matches got better as time progressed outside of the wowen's Crown Jewel belt match just being a complete waste of time with so much dumb interference. The big issue with this one though is the main event match wasn't all that great don't get me wrong it was good then the United States Title match was cut short hindering it from being able to elevate to a big match. All the rest of the match were just kind of there and forgettable"
[2.0] "Damn this sucked. Probably the worst show of the year. Says a lot about the overall quality on display here that by far my favourite thing on this show was the KO/Randy brawl which wasn't even a match. No matches here are worth checking out aside from maybe the final 2, but even so, they're only solid at best. Crowd were pretty shit outside of the opener too. Pointless show overall. If you ever want to waste 3 hours of your life then this show will more than do the trick. MOTN - Cody Rhodes v Gunther"
[5.0] "No way, WWE Crown Jewel 2024 is the definition of filler, if you haven't seen it, don't watch it, you won't miss anything at all. Let's start by saying that the whole concept of the show makes no sense, why put your champions to fight each other and end up putting one above the other, it completely kills the logic of having two world champions, otherwise the vast majority of the matches on this show are bad or boring, with the last two being good, but nothing special. The opener was pure Bloodline overbooking juice that we've been seeing for over 4 years (I wish I could understand the excitement WWE has for Ref bump), the Women's match was decent, but you can't expect much from the women's tag team title (even IYO was botching), then they made a mistake by making Seth beat Bronson in my opinion, the Australian needed the victory to better consolidate himself on the card, the women's champions match was an atrocity as anyone should have expected, neither Liv nor Nia can deliver anything in the ring so don't expect to see Kong vs. Toyota, terrible match. Randy vs. KO match not happen but result in a good brawl. The main event I was on the hype to see and was the MOTN, but Cody and Gunther can do much better than this, I know you didn't want to weaken Gunther, but damn, put some interference (as always) in the middle and Gunther won in a 30+ minute epic worthy of two world champions, besides the fact that their confront in the 2023 Royal Rumble final was better than this match. Roman/Usos vs. Bloodline (**1/2), 4-way match (***), Seth vs. Bronson (***), Liv vs. Nia (*1/2), 3-way match (***3/4), Cody vs. Gunther (****). Note: even the Saudi crowd is better than the dead US crowds. Final score: 5.5"
