812.06.2024leathermask8.0After a newsworthy episode in the previous week, and a much anticipated PLE coming up, this episode of NXT tried to keep the remaining plates spinning while building to a fascinating main event. With 4 out of 5 matches featuring the women of NXT, it was an excellent showcase for the entire roster. Getting to see Jordynne Grace in action was such a treat, and Stevie Turner looked great in defeat - it didn't feel like 3 minutes at all! Turner was an excellent foil for Grace's strength and power. The summit was a brilliant chance to get to know all 6 competitors a little more, and the "promotion" of Mr. Stone to an authority figure is hopefully a permanent one. The Jazmyn Nyx feud with Thea fed well into the ongoing Chase U storyline, and the unexpected return of Jacy Jayne is a great twist. Natalya's win over Izzi was expected, but as always the veteran had no trouble giving Izzi a chance to elevate her ring ability. And finally, that massive main event - 2 Sol Snatchers, the Michin/Jaida feud coming into play, Sol Ruca getting the pin on Lash, the depth of this roster is absolutely incredible.
912.06.2024ejr63096.0This was a pretty decent go home show to Battleground, nothing special really at all either, but still was done pretty okay. The opening match was good for the 3 minutes it had. The womens north american championship summit was actually pretty fun to watch for some reason. Thea Hail vs Jazmyn Nyx was okay. The Heritage Cup Title match was pretty good in my opinion. The worst match of the night was definitely Izzi vs Natalya. These two had awful chemistry and botched a ton of moves. The promo from Gallus, Femi, and Wes was pretty good on their final chance to build up. The 6 woman tag team match for the main event was my match of the night, and Ethan Pages contract signing was very intriguing. Overall, not the best show, but not too bad either.

2307.06.2024shilder8.0Great show! - The opener with Jordynne was of course to get her a debut win for some momentum into Battleground so it made sense, felt smooth and good for Stevie Turner to be the one they chose to get into the ring with JG! The segment with Booker T and the Ladder Match qualifiers was a lot of fun, promo game was really strong! Jazmyn and Thea was a fun pairing, showing both of their talents. Moved a little quick (pacing) even for an under 5 minute match. But still enjoyed that one! I struggle with the Heritage Cup matches, just not my niche, so I digress here and say right winner and move on. Natalya grabbing a small win over Izzi was good, the redemption arc for Natalya is going to be enjoyable to watch and hurts Izzi none to lose to a legend like Natalya. and the Six-Women Tag was just an enjoyable match as there was turmoil between both teams and having Sol Ruca take the win was absolutely a badass booking decision. I hope to see Jaida or Sol climb that ladder and become the inagural champion on Sunday!

3206.06.2024Open The Vault6.0Despite the less than stellar match card they gave us here on this episode of NXT. I think the storytelling really managed to carry this one to the finish line from becoming a mediocre or a flat-out bad show. The best part of the show was the ending segment with Trick Williams and "All Ego" Ethan Page. The first half of this show is hard to sit through but things pick up in the second half. 6/10

4105.06.2024BigReedus6.0Look, Battleground should pop off, so it'll be fine, but this didn't exactly get things going for it. Jordynne Grace is so effortlessly dominant that what little offense poor Stevie Turner got in didn't seem believable. The ladder match summit was typical for how those things go. Good to see Kelani Jordan show some fire. No Quarter Catch Crew is baffling at the moment. Don't know why they're making Dempsey look like a fool. I wonder how much acting Kemp and Bourne were doing at how disgusted they seemed with what was happening. Jasmyn Nix was a little rough around the edges in her match with Thea Hail. Definite potential, she's got the attitude down, but she's still green overall. Young OG is a star on the rise. Natalya getting a win over Izzi Dame was strange, but it at least was a decent enough match. Izzi is getting better and showing improvement. The Gallus promo completely missed me - I don't know if it was the awkward transition from the announced match to their beatdown and micwork, or if it was the crowd being flat on them, but for whatever reason it didn't work for me. Match should be fun though. Dante Chen looks ready to murder Lexis King. Ethan Page is such a good addition to NXT - there were zero credible challengers to Trick Williams, and in two appearances Ethan has positioned himself as an immediate threat. He's great on the mic - his veteran presence helps when Trick and Ava stumble over their words and performances. Overall, it was alright, and Battleground should be really good.

4405.06.2024jjcharg777.0show was building to the PLE and I think they did a solid job with it. Jazmyn Nyx has potential, just keep letting her get her reps cause that pele kick finisher is crazy. EDIT: was able to give more thought on the women's North American champship promo and 6 woman tag. yeah it was hoppy in a way but I think it did show off alot of the newer wrestlers personalities while hiding some there flaws and giving them more reps in front of a camera. I see the dynamics there going for and I dig it
4505.06.2024Liuk4.0I was very happy to see an episode of NXT with a majority of female wrestling, but NXT has a lot of problems right now, there is too little star power and actually i don't see much star ready for television's matches especially in male division. I think that for helping nxt is important to do a few of callups from main roster and new signings, this episode suffers precisely of this problem, too many matches lasting just a few minutes and apart the main event there is nothing worth seeing, the booking is also affected from this too, Gallus and Ethan Page apart there isn't really nothing much worth watching unfortunately.

5005.06.2024Rocky74.0After last week's show, I was looking forward to seeing how they'd follow it up, and it wasn't helped by reports that there'd be more surprises this week... there were none of the sort, and it felt like a letdown to me. Four of the five matches this week were women's matches, and only one (the North American Women's Title tag) got any sort of time. I was hoping that Stevie Turner would get some sort of shine against Jordynne Grace, but it was a pure squash. All the build for Ethan Page throughout the show made me think there'd be some sort of twist at the end for the Battleground main event, instead he just got the match. All the preamble just seemed a bid to get more viewers, not sure how many will come back next week after this.
5105.06.2024YB27.0this weeks episodes of nxt was pretty good it felt better than last weeks and was a good build to the upcoming ple battleground which is looking like its going to be a very good show

5505.06.2024Obdizzleo886.0My rating is in regards to the wrestling on the show. From the top- Jordynne Grace and Stevie Turner are both experienced enough that they could have gone AT LEAST 5 minutes. Decent enough opener. Match #2- I really wasnt sure which way this one would go. Hate seeing Thea lose, but I kind of understand the push Jaznyx is getting. It was refreshing to see Tony D win in straight falls. Damon Kemp was the perfect opponent to lose 2 straight. Natalya beating Izzy Dane made enough sense I guess. But lets talk about the main event. You really want to know what I think about ANOTHER can they co-exist storyline? Why? ! ? Just switch Jaida Parker with Kelani Jordan! The closing segment was probably the highlight of the show for me. Ethan Page continues to show AEW and TK how big of a mistake they made letting him go. I see someone costing Ethan on Sunday, like Noam or Ora. Im excited to see Ethan Pages WWE in-ring debut regardless! Ps- Vic Joseph had some zingers on commentary! I havent seen Book move that fast since05! I honestly believe that Booker is going to smack Vic across the face one day soon, especially if he doesnt start putting some respect on Bookers name! Anyway, the show was lacking in the wrestling department, but I believe it accomplished its purpose of building to Battleground this Sunday.
5605.06.2024srhg8.0This show was really about hyping Battleground, which it did extremely well. Each match could've used more time, but they were all solid. Standouts were the Shayna/Lola package, Ethan Page's whole deal (funny how "All Ego" can work as a nickname if there's any substance behind it), Jevon's missile dive on Spears, and Jordynne looking like a monster.
5705.06.2024ParkwayDriver6.0While the in-ring lacked compared to previous episodes a bit, they still effectively sold everything that was on the upcoming Battleground show with a couple solid matches still (heritage cup and trios main event.)
5805.06.2024JonathanV933.0The wrestling was not good at all, nothing stood out except Je'Vons cutter. Segments were cringy and I did not personally care for much here. All 6 women in the ring cutting a promo for the North American title, and I can't remember one thing that was said. The only part of the show I cared about was the 3 minute squash at the beginning with a mid angle after the match, and the Ethan Page promo which was delivered very well by Page, and horribly by Trick who stumbled on his words and came across as inorganic. I'll give it a 3 I've seen worse, but a bad show overall.
5905.06.2024Yee I watch wrestlin5.0the show is fine none of the in ring matches were anything to care about at all honestly. One thing i do want to point out is the improvement ive been seeing from damon kemp i think he may have a good future ahead of himself. The segment with Gallus and oba and wes was exactly what it needed to be it was incredible. That segment made alone made me more excited for this match than anything else had for this match. At first i was really against the idea of the north american title match being a 3 way and even including joe coffey in it at all but lately ive opened my eyes and realized theyre doing possibly the best work of there careers and i expect them to be the next tag champs as well being called up to the main roster sometime in the next year but oba still aint loosing his title anytime soon. I loved the way they portrayed ethan page this entire episode with then trying to get the contract signed and hes this douche bag demanding all types of outlandish requirements i thought that was awesome. And then the segment the main event segment of page signing his NXT contract in the ring it was great amazing heel work from page and then the inevitable face to face with Trick. This is the one thing i did not want them to do but i of course knew they were going to is have these to feud right away. Im happy they gave us a bit of a reason on why page has been attacking trick and meta four members back stage but idk i wanted a bit more i feel. I dont like for ONE SECOND the fact there giving us trick vs page this sunday. Because either way someone is loosing that cant and should not loose. If page looses this match after the way hes been portrayed since debuting last week its already going to ruin him. And its also to soon for Trick to loose the title. Idk they out there selfs in a HORRIBLE spot that could have easily been avoided if they did this. Have Trick defense this sunday against Noam Darr and then after he retains hes attacked from a hoodied wearing man. Oh man wonder who this is He reveals himself to be ethan page of wow now we can build this threw the summer and get that match the next PPV and get this exact segment a week or 2 after battleground. Just saying they should have thought this out because that stinks.
