[7.0] "Four matches have been confirmed for Battleground as of now and an NXT Championship match is not among them. How bizarre is that? I've had plenty to say about the current state of NXT and how there isn't anything about the brand that is overly exciting at the moment, but at least this was a serviceable show. Storylines progressed and most of the matches served a purpose, so it was an adequate episode on the whole."

[7.0] "One of the better episodes of NXT they've done and it was taped! Really good stuff here. We got some unexpected twists and turns and some heavy focus on the returning Gallus and making them seem like a major threat which is really good. We also got some nice Women's NA Title matches as well as some good story developments and setting up matches for Battleground. 7/10"

[4.0] "This was a taped episode of NXT so we have to remember that before judging the show. Now with that being said, this weeks episode was just bland. Now the Vice turn on Shayna was done okay but it felt like it could have been more. The main event wasn't nothing to write home about but it served its purpose. Again this was a short handed episode so we cannot be super harsh on the show but again we have gotta be open that this week's episode lacked serious intrigue for viewers."

[5.0] "This week's NXT show was one of the worst I've seen in the past year and a half since I started following NXT closely. Some of the matches were too short, and others felt like they seriously lacked heat or a sense of urgency. The backstage segments didn't take too much of the in-ring action, but in this case, I'm not sure if that's a good thing. Of the non-in-ring segments, I liked the ones with Mr. Stone (first with Layla Diggs and then with Dante Chen & Ava). As for the in-ring action, the night's best match was the Tag Team match for the NXT Tag Team Championship. But even in this case, the finish with the outside interference from NQCC was deflating. Also, having The OC lurking around the champions weekly is embarrassing. The Good Brothers have accomplished so much in their career that this "run" in NXT feels unnatural. As for the Women's division, If NXT is looking to highlight it, they should have given Brinley & Jaida, two of the most talented young superstars, more time to showcase their talents. Also, in this case, having Edris & Malik outside for the end of the match "costing" Brinley the match with their "bad luck" is disappointing. I love Karmen Petrovic, but the main event didn't deserve the spot. It would have been a total failure if not for the NXT Battleground build with Lola & Shayna."

[7.0] "Maybe the best episode since the draft, but there's still a lot to do. The men's division moves much slower than the women's, Karmen Petrovic is a pleasant surprise. I loved her promo last week, and she's improving a lot in the ring. I would have preferred Thea Hail as the first North American Champion but Fallon is a good talent too. Jazmyn Nyx pelè kick is a kind of beauty. Wes Lee performance was incredible, he seems to have no ring rust at all. Unfortunately Gallus continue to dampen my enthusiasm, overall they are good workers but I can't see them as a main act. I hope someone else steps up to the men's division, there's a lack of heel main eventers or future main eventers."

Good in ring stuff but didnt see much story progression other then the trick and meta four stuff other then that theres not much story or not much story that i care about honestly. Still dont really know whats the plan for trick at the PPV i just dont see Trick Williams vs Noam Darr as a PPV main event."

[7.0] "Good episode. The wrestling was really good and the character stuff and melodrama were top-notch as usual. Gallus being back throws some chaos into the mix and gets them on everyone's minds before their eventual call-up to the main roster. The Ridge Holland angle continues to do nothing for me, but at least Riley Osborne will get some shine out of it. Brinley Reece looked fine in the ring, but there was no doubt as to who was winning that one. The crowd loves Miss Parker. Not sure how well Jasmyn Nyx is getting along without Jacy Jayne. At least folks are trying to let her run with it. Really happy for Dante Chen. I'm not sure what the ceiling is for Lexis King, but he's valuable now as a utility guy - he can pin or get pinned without a problem and can work a solid if not spectacular match with just about anyone. NXT can slot him in wherever they need him on a weekly basis. This time, he helped put over a returning fan favorite. The Trick Willy stuff dragged this week - not a lot of forward momentum. But, Gallus busting up the spot does give the champ an excuse to tag with Je'Von Evans, whose star continues to rise. He got the hero spot and gets to tag with the champ. Consistent work throughout by all involved."
