[5.0] "a very weak episode, tiffy's promo and the segment as a whole didn't really get over, the match was decent though and i liked the tease of a cash in. solo continues to tease a roman return before a decent andrade interview. the tag match was heatless and it feels like just getting the lower mid card on the show for the sake of it. randy once again teases turning on cody and then la knight cuts an in ring promo for his match with logan, it was good but we need logan on tv more. the next women's match was a painful watch, backstage some fun comedy with chelsea and pretty deadly. tag title match felt pointless apart from the fatu attack at the end. fine closimng angle to a poor show"

[7.0] "Tiffy's opening segment worked well. She cooked on the mic right in Bayley's face. Between that and Nia's BBL dig, the champ should have left that belt in the ring. Really nice to see Michin get the spotlight as the champ's ally. Chelsea Green was in top form backstage all episode long. I'm excited at the prospect of Andrade and Carmelo Hayes squaring up. The segment with Randy and Cody in the locker room is interesting. It worked in the moment as an expression of friendship, but there was a certain longing in Randy's face as he looked at the title... LA Knight was in top form. Jacob Fatu wrecking the tag teams was unexpected and I don't mind it. The Bloodline story takes precedent, even if it was disappointing that nothing much happened other then the good guys getting wrecked. Often, the shows after PLEs are breather episodes that shuffle the board and start warming things up for what's next. This one was no different. The wrestling was fine, if not spectacular. The promos and storytelling were pretty good."

LA Knight's promo is butter, I love it and can't wait for his coronation at Summerslam. The Cody/Orton future that's shaping up will be very interesting story-wise. Great retention for #DIY. We know that Cody/Solo is to keep us waiting for Reigns to return but I can't wait for this future feud with probably the Usos on Roman's side."

[7.0] "Everyones giving it a low score, but I thought this was pretty good episode of Smackdown, started off with a fine segment between Miss Money in the Bank and the two opponents wrestling for the womens championship at Summerslam. The first two matches were fine, nothing that special, LA Knights segment obviously was good, but I wish Logan was here to make the story better, its not good when one person has to rely on the other just to carry a storyline. The next 2 matches was fine as well, the wrestling was pretty mediocre but the show was still enjoyable, that bloodline segment at the end won me over with the bloodline, Jacob can GO and Solo is getting better and better. Overall, I liked the show a lot."

[6.0] "Not a lot happened here. Nothing stood out, neither match, nor promo, nor angle. Nothing stood out as being good but nothing stood out as being bad either. Since the overall product is on a roll that's not such a bad thing. This was decent enough. It was a good way to spend two hours (1, 5 without commercials) but the only thing really worth watching is the closing angle, starting from the finish of the tag team match. Say what you will about his (a bit boring and basic) in ring and his lack of (strong) wins but Solo Sikoa and the new bloodline are over. He and they got a huge reaction from the crowd."

[4.0] "The wrestling on this show was simply unacceptable. Smackdown has been consistently the weakest in ring show of the 3 WWE brands. Raw and NXT have been much better than Smackdown lately. I thought the match between Naomi and Blair Davenport was awful. They completely stunk up the joint and had no chemistry in the ring. The ONLY good thing about this episode was Jacob Fatu destroying the entire tag division. Jacob Fatu's presentation since arriving has been great. Other than that, this episode was stinky. Triple H really needs to dial in Smackdown right now because it is not delivering like it should."

TheRabbitInTheBush wrote on 13.07.2024:
[5.0] "Standard Smackdown. The show would be a lot better if they gave more time to actually entertaining wrestlers like Chelsea Green. Blair Davenport got a video package and match just to lose to Naomi. Legado vs Corbin and Crews was very boring. Main event just interference. Very skippable."
WAKA Flockanoku wrote on 13.07.2024:
[4.0] "A very boring and uninteresting episode of Smackdown. The Bayley, Nia, & Stratton promo at the start of the show was rough to get through, the matches were all mediocre and mostly boring, and there just wasn't any hook to this show that made me care for it. Solo's Bloodline should start committing attempted vehicular homicide or something to make me care for them because they don't really have the star power for me to be all that invested in these standard wrestling beat downs. [MOTN: A-Town Down Under vs. #DIY]"

RAW is definitely the best show of the week at the moment maybe when SD moves to USA they can extend it to 3 hours and that would allow more storylines to develop deeper"

[5.0] "Pretty average SmackDown. Nothing really stands out to be honest. Nia vs Michin was match of the night but it wasn't that great. The rest was just ok. Ok promos. Main Event segment really felt like it needed something more than a pretty average beat down of Randy Orton. Cody being tied in the ropes and forced to watch was a nice touch. Still needed something. Like Jimmy return or some big moment. IDK. Oh and the Chelsea Green and Piper Niven bits throughout the show were really good. I'll say that much. But overall pretty skippable"

Jamildo2 wrote on 13.07.2024:
[4.0] "Opening promo: Stratton, Jax, Bayley: incredibly wooden, this was rough. Stratton was fine but the longer this went on and the more elements that arrived the worse it got. Not offensive but not good. Michin makes the save for Bayley. Michin vs Nia Jax: this was a squash with extra steps, and it started rough and a little sloppy. I felt it improved the longer it went on. Nina obviously dominated the vast majority of the match and they gave Michin some offence in small patches but then the inevitable happened and Nia flattened her with the Bonzai drop. It was fine. Bayley took a beating in the aftermath and Stratton almost cashed in, Only to be stopped by Jay. Budget bloodline promo: not bad, Solo looks better in that segment. More believable as the leader, but this is still lacking star power for me. But its definitely improving. Andrade sets up a fight with Melo. Corbin/Crews Vs Angel/ Berto: started hot when Corbin used Crews as a missile. Lots of good offence and the crowd was surprisingly into it. This felt like a reset for Corbin and Crews until the finish, and the heels getting the win and some cheap heat. Santos got involved and then Crews ate Angels finish and a pin. Hopefully thats not the last time we see Corbin and Crews because I feel like they could be used as a decent tag in this manner. Another Backstage segment with Chelsea waiting to see pierce wearing a neckbrace. Whatever. Cody and Orton backstage segment, little bit of foreshadowing with the title. LA Knight promo: good as always, hits his points, doesnt overstay his welcome. Set up a US title match for SummerSlam. Davenport and Cena video packages. Davenport vs Naomi: Cosplay Jamie Hayter vs Jobbomi. Lots of slow and sloppy offence and Naomi who has been booked badly was given the win here against someone who desperately needed a win. I have no idea why. Guessing that Davenport will get her win back later after a few weeks building some heel heat. The crowd was flat throughout which isnt a shock considering how both of these people have been treated and the quality of the work. Nothing offensive, but nothing great. Backstage segment, Belair, Cargill and Naomi. Some wooden back and forth, Cosplay Hayter then attacked Naomi. This was somehow worse than the match. Theory/ Waller vs DIY: another rematch immediately? Why? ! Luckily, we finally got a largely watchable match. A few missteps but nothing horrendous. DIY feel like real tag team at least, but the sooner they pull the trigger on Waller and Theory the better. Unfortunately this sums up where WWE values the tag division. A quick match as a tick box exercise that felt like it had little value. Jacob Fatu then came out and destroyed everyone. The man is incredible. His offence looks deadly, his facial expressions are menacing. Then he hit two variations of moonsault that were both ridiculous. There is so much upside there. Solo comes out and cuts a promo. Solos improving and growing into the role, but it still feels we are just waiting for the real stars to come back and the crowd still chants for Roman. Cody comes out and the crowd goes mad, aura. Brief back and forth before the Budget Bloodline and Cody started fighting. Orton came out and tried to help before they gave him a pasting. The BB then made Cody watch as they powerbombed Randy through a table. Easily the best segment of an awful show. Maybe the worst Smackdown of this year. The final segment saved the show and was very well done. Whoever the clown was that gave this show a Ten, give your head a wobble."

[4.0] "Worst SmackDown of the year. Not full of bad things, but full of lame and uninteresting things, and the little more decent parts of the show weren't good or interesting enough to leave a good taste. Mia Yim vs Nia Jax is quite underrated here. Not a wonderful match by any means, but I was pleased by Mia's performance and Nia Jax is starting to grow on me again. The Tag Titles match was the most clear statement WWE has done about how much they care about the division. Nearly 8 minutes of a rushed match with a superficial storyline and a post match assault that screamed "alright, let's move to the real deal". I don't know what's the criteria for giving some wrestlers rematches for the titles. I liked that every champion had their rematch clause, but now is quite random. LA Knight has been quite plain for a bit now. He is charismatic, he delivers his promos like a pro, but he barely builds a story or says anything sustantious and he bases most of his promos in his catchphrases. Blair Davenport has been booked like trash. Delaying her debut so much, giving her generic vignettes and a lame feud with Naomi where she loses twice in a row against her. The Bloodline segment with Cody Rhodes was also quite ok-ish. The promo part was simple AF, Solo telling everyone to aknowledge him, Cody coming straight forward to grant Solo a Title match and wanting to fight at the moment, and then the cool part started with the assault. Jacob Fatu showed more in this night than ever since arriving to WWE. I don't like he overacts, but in the brawl he seemed more natural and credible, and damn cool. WWE is having some hard time with SmackDown after the draft took out most of their big names and now they have to build-up a lot of names to make them credible contenders for any title."

[5.0] "(5.5/10) Super super boring episode of smackdown after an amazing raw this one just didnt do anything for me at all. All the matches were boring and not good and didnt feel important or even much of a good reason why they were happening. Theyre was at least SOME story progression towards summerslam but not all of it was good honestly. There were about 3 segments tonight i believe if im not forgetting one that helped build us towards summerslam matches. Which may i rememing you is there 2nd biggest PPV of the year. The first segment was the opening segment with tiffany stratton bayley and nia jax. And this was honestly SO boring i hope this match gets a better build up bc this is not it just like barleys whole title reigns has been boring and not it. Honestly i just cant wait for tiffany to cash in. The 2nd segment which actually was pretty dang great was LA Knight already having a contract for a u.s. title match at summerslam. This was a great smart segment he gave us a reason why he is getting the match showing that he pinned the u.s. champ in the 3 way from a few weeks ago. So now next week i expect a face to face and i legit have waited for this day for so long for Logan pauls boring ass title reign to end. So great segment from LA there. Now the best part of the night like most smackdowns was the Bloodline. Im gonna need people to stop hating on solo siko he has done phenomenal in this new role he has been given and ive enjoyed every single second of it all. He honestly should win the title at summerslam because if he doesnt it will hurt him because hes been built up so well to be a monster itll legit be so similar to super cena beating umaga except honestly solo has been built bigger and better. Cody can win the title back at bad blood or survivor series or something but i think solo deserves a chance. I thought jimmy uso was coming back here i really did because of cody and randy being out numbered but sadly it never happened which sucks. Orton will be out a week or 2 come back and challenge jacob fatu at summerslam hopefully. Not a good episode of smackdown at all"

[6.0] "Overall, it was a good episode of SmackDown. The first segment with Bayley, Tiffany, and Nia was really nice, and the ending of SmackDown was great. The matches were all good (though not exceptional). The only thing I don't understand is what they are doing with Blair. The main roster really needs to start booking the women properly. I would like to see some good non-title feuds to create new talents."

[7.0] "Pretty average show, but inoffensive. LA Knight is a mega star and Im impressed by his reactions each week despite really just spinning his wheels until Logan Paul comes back, that match at SummerSlam will have a super hot crowd, with really only one participant pushing the match in advance, thats how hot he is. I didnt mind the opening segment, although Tiffany didnt really say anything of substance at all. I did like the teasing that she would cash in before Summerslam, with Nia having some of her best character work outside of just being a bully since shes been back. Nia/Michin was a solid opener and the random tag match with Corbin/Crews vs Legado was decent as well. Im not feeling Cody vs Solo as the SS main event, but Im sure it will be with Roman likely coming back. Right now, Id have Drew vs Punk in that slot as it is the much hotter program at this point."

[1.0] "Last weeks show in my opinion had to be the worst SmackDown, if not even worst WWE, if not even worse Wrestling show of the year. This weeks show somehow managed to be even worse. Everything was awful. The matches were nothing. Nia Jax getting the most matchtime with 10 minutes says it all. All the matches were either rushed, boring and/or a sloppy mess with many botches and just did not look good at all. The episode already startet with the worst 25 minutes you can book at the moment. There are so many "Go away-Heat" Characters on SmackDown. I am not looking forward to anything. The last segment of the show was just stupid. Was was Cody's plan? Getting beat up? Is Orton now going to blame Cody for getting beat up by the Bloodline as well? Whatever they do they booked themselves into a corner of stupidity they can't get out of. The only Highlights of the show was the LA Knight Promo and the first video promo segment by The Bloodline."

[5.0] "This was a very mundane, run of the mill episode of Smackdown that did nothing to give PLE fallout or Major PLE build vibes. Yes, the show hit some story beats for the road to Summerslam, but there was nothing overly riveting about any of them. The Temu bloodline continues to be rammed down our throats as a big deal, yet have the aura of a discarded house brick, with the exception of Jacob Fatu, who lives up to everything billed of him. This was a totally skippable episode of Smackdown."

[6.0] "The opening segment with Tiffany Straton was enjoyable to watch, especially when Bayley and Nia Jax came out, Jax and Stratton attacked Bayley with Michin coming out the save which was good to see LA Knight segment was good to see especially when he revealed that he had a contract for a US Title match at Summerslam. The ending segment with The Bloodline was okay until it got more interesting when Cody Rhodes came out and then Randy Orton. Nia Jax vs Michin: Michin held her own against the more powerful Jax, the action was pretty solid, Tiffany Stratton and Bayley being at ringside was interesting, post match when Stratton tried to cash in her MITB case was interesting and funny to watch [**3/4]. Angel & Berto vs Apollo Crews & Baron Corbin: I did not enjoy this match much, Santos Escobar coming in while the referee was distracted by Elektra Lopez should not have happened which allowed Angel to get the win for his team [*1/4]. Naomi vs Blair Davenport: A match that could have been great, but was only okay to be honest, only given just over 7 minutes, the action was okay and Naomi winning was not a surprise [**]. Johnny Gargano & Tommaso Ciampa vs Austin Theory & Grayson Waller: This match was okay, but was not given the time to get really started into the next gear, DIY retaining their titles was the obvious choice here [**]"
