[10.0] "What can I say, this was a really good first EVER event! Yuzuki had the crowd behind her and audience left rooting for her, she is going to be a superstar. MIRAI already looks like a star, she had the entrance, look, crowd! CHIAKI has a super cool look and her match with MIRAI was stiff and really good. We have ENGLISH commentary (hell of a bonus), main event was great, it had a surprising outcome, Bozilla seems like an overnight sensation, having Sareee, Utami and Giulia in the same ring was so special and for me this was one of the best Joshi tag matches of the year! Left me wanting more and made me purchase a Wrestle-Universe pass right after watching it."

[6.0] "Hot crowds make everything better and these days fresh is the absolute king, but seven months after this show took place it came across as a classic example of 'good, not great'. Opener saw an excellent performance from Yuzuki, Miku Aono established herself as someone important in the next match. Then, MIRAI, as per usual, did a perfectly fine job while not changing anything up (if there's one wrestler who desperately needed a change, it's MIRAI), and 'World Beauty Showdown' succeeded if not killing the crowd, then certainly make them 'patiently tolerate' very subpar in-ring action that was going on that match (it was so bad that Mai Sakurai was the best wrestler there, good God). All four AWG wrestlers, even Showzuki, were extremely nervous and it made their performances not as good as they could've been imo, although they did a good job hiding Goto's limitations and making the audience think that Kouki could be the next big thing. These three consecutive matches lacked oomph, they lost the momentum that the first two matches created and should've been better than they were. Main Event could've been something special, but Bozilla kept dragging it down by making sure that everyone had to slow down for her so she could hit her spots well, the crowd chanting her name after the match wasn't a good look imo, it made everyone else, who showed up and showed out, look like sidekicks when in reality they were carrying the load. Overall, an interesting show where everyone involved wanted it to be a loud and convincing message for the audience to remember that would serve as the reason to come back - not everything clicked, but the potential of the possibilities was on full display."

[7.0] "Pretty good debut show for the new joshi promotion. Looking very promising since the very beginning is a good indicator I hope they can transform into a solid seal of quality. Since I wasn't aware of the backstory of the match between Nao Ishikawa and Miku Aono, I feel like perhaps I'm missing a lot of things that I didn't watch here aside from the Sareee vs Giulia feud and the story of the opener with Victoria Yuzuki wanting to prove herself to become the Ace of Marigold and prevent the retirement of Nanae Takahashi. That made me see this show as having a lot of solid and well worked matches but lacking a lot of psychology and compelling storytelling. One thing I don't understand is how Myla Grace and Zayda Steel got so many criticism but Bozilla, who seemed so lost at times during her match and performed some rough spots got a lot of praise (she did very good at times, but inexperience was still there). I didn't think the semi-final match was nearly as bad as the overall rating suggest. Yes, it was a nonsense and a bad idea to go to a time limit draw for a match without a proper story that backs up that outcome, with no wrestler trying to actually win the match and just letting time pass, but aside from that it was a nice match and while the gaijins also seemed inexperienced, they didn't look bad at all. The main event was a really good match. Bozilla's performance, while doing good at those sequences where she was the key player, was mostly whack and that held back the match that Sareee, Utami and Giulia were doing so great. There is good potential in her and she managed to put herself over with the japanese crowd, so she did something good right there and I hope she keeps improving (specially on the mic. That's the worst thing about her by a mile)."

[8.0] "What a debut card. Matches range from pleasantly enjoyable to absolutely brilliant (even the Mai/Nozaki tag match did its job of furthering the storyline between them, having a tag match that worked like an actual tag match, and also gave the audience a chance to get their breath back). It seems silly to pick some MVPs on this card as nearly everyone performs with real passion and gets an opportunity to shine. Ignore the OZ incel because anyone with an actual brain can tell that if Marigold can harnass the potential created by this card we're in for a very bright future."

If you're going to watch this and you're not a completionist, watch the MIRAI match for some Haases smashing the shit out of each other and the Main Event for one of the best workers of the year. Everything else, just save your time and go watch OZ Academy or something. I'm confident they'll all get better, but this show is absolutely not there."

[9.0] "Excellent debut event. Overall presentation...lights, music, streamers, video packages, made this a 10. The in ring was more of an 8, so I'll split the difference and go with a 9. All of the matches, except two, were very good and left me excited about the future, since it was my first time seeing so many of the wrestlers. The Mai Sakurai & Zayda Steel v. Myla Grace & Nagisa Nozaki was not good, it should not have gone 15 minutes. The booking did not help the participants at all. I like Mai Sakurai, but she needs better opponents to shine. The main event was excellent, featuring three of the best and a breakout performance by Bozilla. I wish there was no shadow of WWE hanging over this promotion, but at the moment, the future looks golden."

[10.0] "Amazing first event for this new promotion, some good matches and a MOTY contender in the main event. Nanae Takahashi vs Victoria Yuzuki: A nice enjoyable way to open the first Marigold show ever, despite the difference in experience, they wrestled a even playing match, despite only being in the wrestling industry less than a year Yuzuki did a great job against someone as experienced as Takahashi [***1/4]. Miku Aono vs Nao Ishikawa: A decently fought match, hard hitting action that led to a decently solid conclusion to the match [***]. MIRAI vs CHIAKI: Their styles complemented each other, they had a competive match which was good to see [***]. Mai Sakurai & Zayda Steel vs Myla Grace & Nagisa Nozaki: Contrary to what people have said on here about this match, I really enjoyed it, the styles of USA, European and Japanese blended really well and the time limit draw was the right call [***3/4]. Chika Goto & Kouki Amarei vs Misa Matsui & Natsumi Showzuki: Having never seen any of these four women before, I was intrigued and after watching the match, I was impressed, tag team work that was great and enjoyable to watch [***3/4]. Bozilla & Sareee vs Giulia & Utami Hayashishita: What a fucking main event, Bozilla looks like she is unstoppable and as a rookie she impressed, Giulia wrestled while suffering from a wrist injury from during the match and takes so many uranages from Sareee, both teams worked well together, the chemistry was there and the crowd in Korakuen Hall was buzzing and erupted vocally, best joshi match I've seen in a long time, awesome main event for the first Marigold event [*****]"

You got to see some new talent (presumably for most people) but you also saw just how much of a star MIRAI actually is. There is a lot of good talent already in this company and hopefully they get to shine."

" If Marigold ends up being successful they could take over Stardom (Which I doubt, but you never know) We got a consistent card most of the time and the last 2 matches are the best of the night. Really good stuff. 7.5/10"

[6.0] "Not a bad show for a starting company for any mean but also left much to be desired with. Match wise it's solid enough outside of the disastrous fourth match. The main seems to be receiving a great deal of praise but personally its pace broke the match apart, not neccesarily Bozilla's fault by any mean but just a rather disappointing revolation for what it could of been. Saree and Giulia's feud i don't see how it would benefit this promotion seeing that Giulia is only for a short stay to help the company, while Saree is certainly non exclusive to Marigold. Utami being the side character is certainly a choice and the chance of the leading role being back to Mirai is worrying seeing the first time it happened. Out of the AWG girls, Kouki and Misa are the highlights, it would be interesting to see how the founding seven's relation with the AWG girls play out. In terms of presentation, I can't say it's excellent with the belt designs, PV, and other graphics, very much a downgrade from Stardom (even using the PV text font from old Stardom). Camera is okay at best but the ring presentation is good for sure. For a contraversial promotion from the get-go, the looming cloud over its head after this show is certainly not gone. They have to put on something more next time at Ryogoku (which is insane, they have to work something out to fill all those seats)"

My second favorite match was Nanae Takahashi vs Victoria Yuzuki. Yuzuki's potential seems limitless, she is progressing at breakneck speed! My third favorite match was Nao Ishikawa vs Miku Aono. I feel like this is the start of a long rivalry between the two! Very excited to see what happens next!"

Best crowd at a Joshi show all year, Killer Main Event, Bozilla was fantastici, Nanae & Victoria Yuzukis great opener, MIRAI & CHIAKI delivered, Kouki is a future Ace, want more of Victoria Yuzuki & Miku Aono."

[8.0] "Marigold's first show. It's always interesting to see how a new promotion presents itself, and Marigold does a good job in coming across like a big deal. The production value was fairly high, Korakuen Hall was packed with a lively crowd and there was a pleasant vibe throughout. The show started with each of the Marigold wrestlers getting an introduction and walking through the crowd while a nice light show was on display. The first match in Marigold is Nanae vs Yuzuki, and it told a classic veteran vs rookie story. Really enjoyable for most of the match, but falls off in the last few minutes. Still, it was a nice way to kick things off (6/10). Miku vs Nao was a good, hard hitting match, probably the biggest surprise of the show (7/10). MIRAI vs CHIAKI was a good power vs power match (7/10). Mai/Zayda vs Nagisa/Myla was bad and for no reason went to a time limit draw. Easily the worst match on the show (2/10). Gochika/Kouki vs Misa/Natsumi was another good match, a nice speed vs power matchup (7/10). Sareee/Bozilla vs Giulia/Utami in the main event was so much fun. The crowd was its best here and everybody delivered. Best match (8.5/10). Fields Forever was a really good show. Most of the matches were good, aside from one bad one, and the main event was awesome. 8/10"

Marigold accomplished everything you want from an inaugural show, with nothing being better than that main event -- which will go down as Marigold's first classic. A must-see show for what is going to be a force of a promotion."

A nice mix of matches and styles in this show, passion injection in the opener. A power contest, some high speed and tag team action. Then one hell of a main event. I look forward to seeing what's to come in the near future!"

[10.0] "This was the best atmosphere for a Joshi promotion since pre-pandemic. The entire card besides one match were awesome. The production, the wrestlers being awesome. Just so much fun to watch. The AWG girls proved themselves like most fans who follow AWG would. The MVP of the show is Bozilla. The main event captured the feeling that has been missing in big joshi promotions for a long time. Just high praises all around, hoping future big shows have the same atmosphere and feeling. MIRAI vs. CHIAKI and Miku Aono vs. Nao were great singles matches. Passion injection matches always deliver. Hoping for more Bozilla in the future she is a STAR."
