[7.0] "One of the better shows of the year. Nothing was MOTY level for me but the NEVER title match and BOSJ final were great and everything else was fine to good. 7.5/10"

[7.0] "All in all, I was content with this show. We had an okay undercard with matches that did not do anything spectacular but did not make me fall asleep. The latter matches were kind of a mixed bag. While I enjoyed the TV and NEVER title matches, this was combined with two rather dull matches in the Elimination Tag title match and the unspectacular IWGP Championship Lumberjack match. This up and down leading up to the end of the show was then capped by an amazing BOSJ final match that was not overly long and caught me off guard with that fantastic finish. I would not watch the whole thing top to bottom again, but you will definitely find good stuff in here."

[7.0] "A entertaining show, really liked the NJPW World Television Title Match + the 3 finals matches. On the other hand, there was a lot of matches that felt not so good for one of biggest shows of the year for NJPW."

[6.0] "This show was a mixed bag for me. There were two really good matches for me here and one really good match with a very bad ending. New Japan as a whole feels kinda lost and directionless at the moment and I'm hopeful that their direction as they rebuild will become clearer soon, because they feel very underwhelming at the moment and it's made me feel way more apathetic towards their shows as of late. [MOTN: Jeff Cobb vs. Tomohiro Ishii]"

[9.0] "Certainly a better show than what I've seen from NJPW as of late especially with the news that interference getting cut down after this event. In my view if New Japan is to survive going forward they NEED to cut the cancer that is the HOUSE OF TORTURE, at any costs I've been asking for it for the better part of the last 5 years. Despy winning the BOSJ in a banger of a final though I wish it went longer than 23 minutes though. star Ratings Newman vs. Naito (**1/2) Decent match will show how far Newman can go if he qualifies for the G1 this year, TMDK vs. War Dogs & Clearly (***) good set up for Next week, KOPW title match: (***1/4) Nice concept good chemistry and didn't expect the title change. Six Man title match (***1/2) Tsuji finally captures gold and for Oleg what did you expect for him, Yano, and Tana to hold the gold beyond the G1? not this year TV title Match: (****) Ishii win or lose usually delivers a hoss fight and we got one in this match. Tag Title Tornado Match: (**1/4) Probably the weakest match for me because this is the 3rd time they've unified these belts in the past year alone KEEP THEM SEPARATE DAMNIT! NEVER Title Match (****1/2) My MOTN hard hitting great match except for the Double Knockout finish HENARE had everything going for him only to be unable to get up. IWGP world title match: (***3/4) I normally wouldn't rate an HOT match this high but given the stipulations it makes sense plus Justice finally being done to this cancerous group now keep them out of EVERY title situation for all eternity. BOSJ Final (****1/4) got close to MOTN status but crippled by the shorter length of the match I was hoping for at least a 30-35 minute fight between the two. Bottom line EVIL losing shows that NJPW's front office is FINALLY listening to the fanbase in regards to the House of Torture Justice is finally being done"

[7.0] "Mostly solid show with a few standout matches. Namely, Despy vs Ishimori in the BOSJ finals was best of the night and well worth seeking out, and Cobb vs Ishii was also excellent. While maybe not quite as must-see, I also enjoyed the hard-hitting Takagi vs HENARE bout (and didn't really mind the inconclusive finish, since it'll doubtless lead to more between the two), and also thought Great-O-Khan vs Uemura was decent. The IWGP title bout between Mox and EVIL was decent enough; the lumberjack stipulation took some of the bite off of the usual House of Torture antics by giving them an environment that they can work within. Tag Title four-way was OK but probably would've been better with just TMDK and Bishamon, and I kind of wish the regular and STRONG tag belts weren't linked up again. The rest of the card was OK; nothing necessarily worth going out of your way for but nothing offensive either."

[7.0] "Since it's Dominion I was looking for a truly blast of a show and despite it wasn't it was entertaining throughout. First of all, the two Strong Style match of the card should have had twice the length and the IWGP was disappointing since it was the match for the one of the most important belts in the world despite no one had any expectations probably. Despite this delusions, there were no actually bad matches luckly. ***1/2"

[8.0] "Solid Undercard, Good Booking decisions for the first time in a long while, the show flew by even the HoT match was fun, the TV title match and ths main event were great, everything else was decent to good. Good reset for a company recently plagued by horrendous booking and planning."

[6.0] "Not the best Dominion I've ever seen before but a decent one to really put the hammer on the nail. It wasn't anything too crazy or special and some poor booking decisions were made here. The KOPW Title feels like nothing as well as the NEVER Openweight Belts, Hot potatoing titles feel lazy and overall underwhelming for reigns that could have been more. Disappointers and bizzare endings. The first 2 matches and the main event were decent but the match between Ishii and Cobb stole the show right here. Overall, decent but not enough to really be memorable. 6.5/10"

[8.0] "Tetsuya Naito vs Callum Newman: From a perspective, this match did look good on paper, but in reality it did underwhelm slightly, should have been given more time [**1/4]. Kosei Fujita, Robbie Eagles & Zack Sabre Jr vs Clark Connors, Drilla Moloney & LJ Cleary: Cleary in his first appearance for NJPW was decently solid, Fujita and Eagles had their moments with the BC War Dogs ahead of their title match [***]. Great O-Khan vs Yuya Uemura: Did not know going into this what could happen, but was pleasantly surprised at how the match turned out to be, GOK and Uemura put on a solid performance [***1/4]. BUSHI, Hiromu Takahashi & Yota Tsuji vs Boltin Oleg, Hiroshi Tanahashi & Toru Yano: Given who the champs were, this was an okay match, Boltin showed his power off again which was good to see, Tsuji and Tana had an interesting interaction before Tsuji got the win for his team [**1/2]. Jeff Cobb vs Tomohiro Ishii: Cobb and Ishii put on a physical match, that could have gone either way, Ishii came close but Cobb proved he had more in the tank [****]. Mikey Nicholls & Shane Haste vs Chase Owens & KENTA vs El Phantasmo & Hikuleo vs Hirooki Goto & YOSHI-HASHI: This match was slow to get fully into gear but then got better than expected, surprised GOD got eliminated first, TMDK winning the titles was good to see [***1/2]. Shingo Takagi vs HENARE: Just as physical as expected, the double KO result was unsurprisingly right for this one, HENARE did well against the champ [****1/4]. Jon Moxley vs EVIL: A match I was dreading going into the event, but I actually enjoyed it, with the lumberjacks outside getting involved, the weapons spots and The Shield reference especially was cool, Mox winning was the obvious choice here [****1/2]. El Desperado vs Taiji Ishimori: Best match of the BOSJ 2024, they put on a junior heavyweight clinic that had it all, perfect match in my opinion to end the tournament, Desperado winning was quite nice to see, MOTN [*****]"

[8.0] "Watched the final five matches, with so many performers elevating their individual stock. Ishii turned back the clock; the tag title match actually made it look like a strong, coherent division, with the absolute right winner; the double KO was a nice surprise in the NEVER title match; and the BOSJ final was incredibly worthy, with both men somehow surprising me with how good they were. Moxley's performance was a bit disappointing for me, but there were so many moving parts and EVIL is not the dance partner he was pre-pandemic. Performers of the night were Ishii, Shane Haste, and both Despy and Ishimori who put on a babyface/heel classic without needing to go over the top."

[8.0] "Given the track record recently, this was a show that had little hype around it, but it more than delivered! There was a lot of variety in terms of matches, everything was fun, and even the HoT match was a stupid amount of fun with Moxley and his crew invovled. Add on top of that a banger of a TV Title match, an awesome BOSJ final, and another HENARE and Shingo shootout, and this show easily surpassed expectations. There have been rightful complaints about the state of the product recently, but with this show in particular, and the future shows laid out, there seems to be a decent amount of momentum behind the company again, which is something that should be cherished."

[8.0] "A really incredible show with no real lowlights other than a mediocre but fine NEVER title match midway through. It was a true variety show which I really enjoyed and left on a true high note, one of the greatest moments since Naito won the G1. It was really a joy to watch through and I never truly felt bored or left out, I felt a joy for wrestling. Connect a great G1 announcement midway through and some great booking in TMDK and Despe winning their respective bouts and this is a show of the year contender for sure."
