[6.0] "In-Ring war der Opener definitiv das MotN. Ospreay hat hier das Beste aus Hobbs herausgeholt. Ansonsten gab es noch ein gutes Match zwischen Danielson und Archer, auch das Tag Team Tournament Halbfinale war unterhaltsam. Während der Main Event noch einigermaßen in Ordnung war, gab es mit Billy Gunn vs. Jay White leider ein absolutes Lowlight. Abseits des Rings gab es durchaus Interessantes, die Jericho/Hook Storyline ist weiterhin schwach. Eigentlich wäre die Show recht gut gewesen, aber die Lowlights ziehen das Ganze dann doch etwas runter."

[5.0] "Everything before the infamous Billy Gunn vs Jay white match is actually pretty good stuff. It's not surprising because it's Ospreay and Danielson who hardly have a bad match. Everything after I found to be meh to decent apart from the excellent contract signing. The bucks match was decent stuff, the women's match was literally just there. The contract signing was very good stuff too. I'd give this show an 8 but one of the matches here is so god darn awful that I'm taking off 3 points. But the good stuff here shouldn't be ignored at all."

[7.0] "This was a good show, with its flaws but mostly extremely enjoyable and fun: the show kicked off with Adam Copeland cutting a promo about the importance of AEW after Punk's comments. A promo, delivered with passion by Copeland but that, personally, I didn't feel it was needed. This wasn't as big of a controversy such as the brawl that required Mox to come out and cut one hell of a promo. Pointless if you ask me. Ospreay vs. Hobbs was a really good opening bout, Ospreay is a star and Hobbs is one hell of a talent. Danielson vs. Archer was another really good David vs. Goliath kind of match. Danielson is a master when it comes to fight men double his size and Archer should be pushed to the moon, he's fantastic. The Jericho/Hook stuff is lame and boring, it's just not hitting for me. Nothing that Jericho has done in the last year has hit for me. White vs. Gunn was just bad and my main issue with this episode. Jay White (first NJPW grand slam champion and WK main eventer) gets destroyed for 10 minutes by 60 years old Billy Gunn. This was an absolute shame and it could've been avoided by just having them fight for about 3-4 minutes and White picking up a dirty win, but no they had to drag the whole thing and make White look like a loser. Willow Nightingale cut a really nice promo on her upcoming match with Julia Hart but got interrupted by Mercedes Mone who said she's going to challenge for the TBS title at DoN whoever the champion will be. Young Bucks vs. Best Friends was match of the night, the Bucks are simply killing it right now, the commentary bit and the shout out to "Scapegoat" were just top notch. The Best Friends are a really solid and for a second I even thought they could win. Bucks won dirty and in the post-match Beretta turned on OC in a shockingly but well done moment. Hope they give this story time and they give Beretta the opportunity to shine. May vs. Rosa was a solid match, got pretty fun towards the end. Samoa Joe/Swerve contract signing was a great ending to the show. Joe's line on Diddy was crazy and Swerve looked like a million bucks laughing histerically covered in blood and signing the contract with his own blood. Joe's scared look on his face despite having put Swerve through a table and busted him open was also top notch. Overal: many things worked while a few other didn't. It doesn't reach the "must-watch" category but this was still a great show and I had a really good time watching it."

[6.0] "Well, it's disappointing to see the AEW TV shows decline so much just two weeks after Revolution. And what they're doing with Jay White, turning him into a clown, is simply unacceptable."

[7.0] "i completely agree with edge's message to open the show however i don't fell like it had a place on tv, made them look small. the ospreay match was probably his worst in aew but still very good. the danielson match was also very good with a great ending. jericho then came on tv which is terrible. 10 minutes of daddy ass beating up jay white in the year of our lord 2024 is maybe the most insulting thing i have ever seen in wrestling, one of the best wrestler in the world has to resort to a low blow? to beat a 50 year old man who was never very good? utterly disgraceful. the willow promo was excellent but mercedes in debuting 2.5 months after her debut? the next tag match was the match of the night where the crowd was so hot and then trent turning on the best friends which was such a shock. the main event was boring but then the closing segment was great."

[7.0] "Adam Copeland ist sehr gut am Mikro und seine Worte wirkten ehrlich, aber dennoch war es auf eine komische Art cringe, dass er nach den kritischen Worten von CM Punk bei The MMA Hour im Grunde nichts weiter zu sagen hatte, als wie toll AEW ist. Der Opener zwischen Hobbs und Ospreay war gut. Archer-Danielson war zwar mehr ein Match zwischen einem kleineren Wrestler und einem Riesen, aber dennoch haben die beiden am Ende eine gute Geschichte erzählt und der Sieg für Bryan wirkt hart erarbeitet. White-Gunn war zu lang dafür, dass es jetzt nicht eine so wahnsinnig interessante Paarung war und dann hatte es am Ende nicht einmal ein richtiges Finish. Das Match der Bucks gegen Best Friends war nett, vor allem auch mit Trents Mutter am Ring. Ich kann allerdings nicht beschreiben, wie desinteressiert ich an diesem Gimmick der Bucks bin. Der Turn von Trent gegen Cassidy bringt uns dann vermutlich eine weitere lange Midcard Fehde. Am Main Event finde ich vor allem interessant, dass sich das Standing der Frauen verändert zu haben scheint, seit Mercedes Mone in der Company ist. Seitdem sind Frauen offenbar mehr als vorher auch mal im Main Event zu sehen. So richtig toll war das Match zwischen Thunder Rosa und Mariah May aber dennoch nicht. Wirklich gut war aber das Schlusssegment zwischen Joe und Swerve. Dieses Match ist vermutlich das am besten aufgebaute für Dynasty, denn es scheinen die beiden stärksten Charaktere aufeinanderzutreffen."

"A strange episode with ups and downs. Billy Gunn having a run in 2024 is strange but otherwise there were some good highlights."

[8.0] "Fun episode, and more enjoyable than last week. Will Osprey & Powerhouse Hobbs was excellent. Lance Archer lived up the name Murderhawk Monster. I did not like the booking for Jay White, the only reason for him to lose to Billy Gunn, would be if it was Billy's retirement match. Great seeing Sue back, and I loved Trent taking out Orange after the match. Entertaining main event with Mariah May & Thunder."

[7.0] "This was overall a really good Dynamite, but certainly had its weak points. While I don't think there was any fully great matches on this show, most were good to really good; with my favourite being the battle of the Will's. The tag tourney semi-final was also quite good, and I really enjoyed the heel turn of Trent. The two things thats stuck out as really bad on this show was the Daddy Ass vs Jay White match and Chris Jericho calling out HOOK. Willow and Stokely cut great promos getting me excited for the TBS title picture, but my favourite segment was the show closing contract signing between Swerve and Joe; both guys looked great."

[5.0] "The first two matches were solid and the other matches were very average. There were some promos too."

[7.0] "Adam Copeland coming out and giving a positive rallying cry for AEW and professional wrestling in general loses a little bit of luster given that a week later, Tony Khan did a full 180 by airing the CM Punk/Jack Perry footage for some reason. Still, it was a good way to kick off this particular episode, and the fact that it was followed by solid matches by Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson really illustrated everything great about AEW. The crappy Billy Gunn match was a low point, but otherwise, really solid episode."

[6.0] "Decent show with some decent matches tainted by a rather bull scrap with Jay White and Billy Gunn and a disappointing main event. The contract signing was enjoyable. Joe's reactions are brilliant."

[7.0] "Eigentlich eine ganz gute Dynamite, die aber 2 Lowlights hat. Zum Einen alles rund um Chris Jericho, der hier auch ordentlich ausgebuht wird, da er weiterhin wie ein Fremdkörper wirkt. Zum Anderen das grauenvolle Match zwischen Billy Gunn und Jay White, welches nicht nur zu lang ist, sondern sogar in einer DQ endet. Alles an diesem Match war schlecht. Auf der anderen Seite haben wir aber auch Hobbs vs. Ospreay und Danielson vs. Archer, was beides richtig gute TV Matches sind und zusammen mit dem Segment von Copeland starke erste 45 Minuten bilden. May vs. Rosa war ganz nett, ebenso Bucks vs. Best Friends, wobei mich das Tag Team Turnier bisher noch nicht catcht. Der Turn von Trent ist interessant, mal schauen was man daraus macht. Hätte mir aber eher ein Fortbestehen der Best Friends gewünscht. Die Vertragsunterzeichnung am Ende des Show war dann fantastisch. Kurz und auf den Punkt gesprochen, von beiden Kontrahenten, gefolgt von einem großartigen Beatdown, welcher beide gut aussehen lässt."

[6.0] "Gutes Dynamite mit einem dicken Minus in der MItte. Ospreay und Hobbs reißen gleich zu Beginn erstmal die Hütte gut ab. Hätte nicht gedacht das das Match so gut funktioniert. Aber es passte wirklich gut. Auch das Timing zwischen den Powermoves und Ospreays Schnelligkeit war gut gemacht. Hat mir tatsächlich sehr gefallen. Rundes Match direkt zum Start. Und es ging auch fast genauso gut weiter. Danielson und Archer liefern sich ebenso ein fantastisches Match. Archer funktioniert in Big Matches ja eigentlich immer. Daher auch hier ein starkes Ding gegen Danielson. Ich freue mich auf Dynasty und WIll gegen Bryan. DAs Lowlight war dann Gunn gegen White. Ich hatte gedacht das Gunn White verprügelt und dann gewinnt White. Das hätte ich noch ok gefunden aber so wie man es hier gelöst hat war es einfach furchtbar. Ich hoffe das Ganze wird auch bei Dynasty beendet. Bucks gegen Best Friends war dann aber wie ein gutes Tag Team Match. Schöne Action und der verdiente Sieg der EVPs. Der Turn von Beretta war überraschend aber ich man konnte es gut nachvollziehen. Das werden spannende Wochen. Der Main Event um den Titelshot bei Dynasty war nochmal ein runder Abschluß der Show mit einem soliden Match."

"Decent show. Wasnt a bad show but not a great one either. Opening matches were solid, vibes are good. Then we get old Billy Gunn kicking Jay Whites ass up and down the ring in one of the worst matches theyve ever had. Absolutely baffling to book that match that way on a night when Edge gives a rah rah speech about it being the place where the best wrestle. Other than that it was a pretty fun watch."

[7.0] "This was another very good episode, although one where the best parts were not wrestling. Both the opening Copeland promo and the contract signing were great, and deserve attention even though I tend to focus on the matches. Speaking of which, we open with the match of the night, as Will Osprey and Powerhouse Hobbs face off in the Battle of Wills. Bryan Danielson and Lance Archer follow them with another great match. At this point, the floor falls out, and we get Billy Gunn beating Jay White for 12 minutes. They story they're telling required this to happen, and they handled it as well as possible, but it's still something that no one wanted to see. Things get back on track with the Young Bucks taking on Best Friends in the Tag Team Title Tournament. Finally, Thunder Rosa and Mariah May had a good match that neverthelest failed to reach the highs of most of the rest of the card."

[7.0] "This episode of AEW Dynamite was pretty good. While debatable if it was necessary, Copelands promo was pretty good. The first two matches were enjoyable with Ospreay vs Hobbs and Danielson vs Archer. Trent Berettas heel turn was executed well, and the contract signing between Swerve Strickland and Samoa Joe was really good. The Jay White vs Billy Gunn match was terrible. Overall, the show accomplished adding storyline heat to the matches going into AEW Dynasty."

[4.0] "Copeland antwortet auf ein YouTube-Interview und die Crowd hat nahezu hörbare Fragezeichen im Gesicht. No Pop. Auftakt ist für mich sehr lost. Das hätte man besser lösen können und so gehört es eigentlich nicht ins AEW-TV. Mit der Battle of Wills-Überschrift kann ich auch sehr wenig anfangen. Cold match is cold. Ospreay macht Ospreay-Sachen und wenn das mit den cold matches so weitergeht, bin ich Will in 2-3 Wochen schon wieder statt. Dann hat man irgendwie alles gesehen und zwischen Selling des Todes bis hin zu 100km/h-Action liegen dann wieder nur 1-2 Sekunden. Aber Ospreay ist in diesem Match gar nicht das Problem. Hobbs on top ist es. Langsam, wenig flüssig, stumpf wartend, da passt nicht immer so viel zusammen und so wirkt Will in allen Aspekten überlegen. Das ist er wohl auch, aber das muss man besser kaschieren, so ist da wenig Chemie. Danielson vs. Archer finde ich ordentlich, wenngleich etwas zu lang. Buh-Rufe für Jericho sind wohlverdient. Man hat 2024 nicht mehr das Gefühl, dass er den Nachwuchs hilft, eher, dass er dem Nachwuchs das Spotlight nimmt. Früher wäre er paar Wochen verschwunden und hätte sich neu entdeckt, nun nimmt er jede TV-Minute mit, die er bekommt und das sind 2024 viel zu viele. Das gilt eigentlich nicht für Billy Gunn, aber das Booking hier ist schon next level schwach. Außer Eddie Kingston werden alle ROH-Titelträger im AEW-TV wie komplette Dullys dargestellt. Raff ich nicht und bei Jay White so überhaupt nicht. Mercedes tänzelt am Ranking vorbei und möchte sich bei DON um Willow (oder Julia) und den TBS-Title kümmern. Wird Zeit für das erste TV-Match, ansonsten solide. Das erste Halbfinale im Tag-Turnier ist ok, das Aftermath bekommt 40 Sekunden, um zu atmen. Also schnell notiert, dass Chuck sich auch nicht um OC kümmert. Eine Allianz, die über Jahre hielt, darf da ruhig anders dargestellt werden und wenn es dann eben nur Selling und fragende Blicke von OC sind. Das bekommen wir handgestoppte 4 Sekunden. Die Damen zum Abschluss machen das ok, Toni am Kommentatoren-Tisch ebenso - im Schnitt. Der Abschluss rettet jedoch die Show in den ausreichenden Bereich. Das war gut und ich bin 50:50-Split zwischen "letzter großer Run von Joe" und "die verdiente Krönung von Swerve"."

[4.0] "Jay White becoming a jobber was not something I saw happening, especially since his presentation was he was a great heel wrestler, but he is losing lower card matches now. Mone hasn't had a match yet and her promo isn't the best at this time, Copeland shouldn't be putting attention to the fact that were negative issues being talked about the company in the past week. Production has been having issues since Day 1, can't believe the mic problems are still there."

[7.0] "First: focusing the Acclaimed around Billy Gunn has tanked their match quality and destroyed the buzz they had as tag champions. Yes, they have some crowd pandering pops, etc, but these guys can cut amazing promos and can GO in the ring. I firmly believe that Gunn's influence is why nearly every Acclaimed match is JUST the cheap gimmick pandering now, instead of an awesome match that playfully incorporates the gimmick. His match with White was garbage as well. He completely phone in his supposedly rage filled beat down, and the booking of him just pulverizing JAY WHITE was abysmal. Everything else on the show was good to very good. Highlights include Powerhouse Hobbs, the Bucks' heel work, Trent's turn, Mariah May, and the contract signing."

[5.0] "My lowest rating for AEW in 2024 (I believe)... I liked Copeland promo and the two matches that followed that, and the contract signing too; but everything that happened in between is very easy to forget."

[5.0] "Weird episode. There were so many poor matchups that you could see they were poor before the matches started. the battle of the wills was the best match by a mile. Ospreay is great and Hobbs is cool, not fully there in the ring. but I enjoy his work. Will made him look great as well. Bryan and Lance was very 2000's WWE like Lance always is, Lance doing slow moves and walking around slowly. not for me. Bryan did the best he could but this match shouldn't ever be happening. Bryan looks silly dominating the much larger man but he totally should be as on a wrestling level he is levels above Lance. Billy Gunn and Jay White....a 60-year-old man beat up former NJPW champion Jay White for the entire match. wtf is going on here. Jay white looked amazing in his entrance one of my favorite entrances. but man did Jay spit in TKS coffee? Young Bucks vs Best Friends.....yes fine, I enjoy the Bucks but not for around 2 years not sure what's going on with them, enjoy them being heels but their in-ring work hasn't been quite where it usually is. Best friends were fine. orange is an acquired taste I think. Love Trent? love Sue, love sues minivan. disappointed we didn't get a Sue chant. Mariah May had a match with Thunder, I feel I am being gaslit by everyone with Thunder Rosa, she is terrible in the ring, botches moves all the time, and can barely run the ropes at times. I just don't get what people are seeing. Mariah May continues to fight mid to low card women but I do feel she could have a good match. Like Lady Frost the week before I feel she did as well as she could with what she had to work with. Toni on commentary was funny as usual, her character is strangely still adding bits love the continuous development as she seems to get crazier each passing week. Hate the lights, Sometimes the crowd is way too distracting, TKS is a fan of NJPW right? dim the LIGHTS!"

[6.0] "For the sake of first two matches and the ending promo I can give a 6. They were quality TV, nearly 30 minutes of decent wrestling. And then it just didn't flow. Bunch of bad bookings. One of the things I actually appreciate about AEW is how they carry out the fight outside the ring. But they do it WAY TOO MUCH. I expected Jay White to devour Gunn in 5 minutes at top but it just went on and on and on and on and on. 11 minutes more than half of it consisted of White getting squashed by Gunn. What the actual f? Then a lowblow DQ finish. White's AEW career keeps being an inconsistence piece of trivia, he just happens to be there and 0 nuance. He was a geek against MJF and he recaptured the momentum during C2 and now he's back to being a geek. Terrible. Young Bucks vs Best Friends was honestly disappointing. I can't say I liked how the match was constructed but I didn't like the post match either. Trent's turn didn't feel big or emotional even though Sue was there (which was the moment I understood Trent was going heel). They really did an opportunity to create one of those NXT turn moments but they just couldn't. I was like 'oh ok, it finally happened'. It's a personal opinion but I am also one of those who thinks OC should have refused the hug (given the fact Trent lost that match) if they really wanted to split the group. I hope they pull the best out of Trent (and hopefully followed by ChuckyT) and give them a justified reasoning rather than cliches. It seems OC will be the winner of the upcoming feud but Taylor&Baretta really needs their hype back. I guess OC will be fine despite I find him stale. Mercedes threw out a challenge for the TBS championship, it's whatever. I won't try to find a sense in it. Thunder Rosa once again looked worse than her opponent (which is May but still...) and I have 0 hype for her upcoming match. Swerve is a sick fuck."

[2.0] "BAD, bad show. Thunder Rosa Vs. Mariah May was a fine main event-best part of the show---I hope to see them both in the ring against each other again very soon, they're both very fine (literally & figuratively). Very good ten minute match...everything else was just a blur. Show was filled with cringe promos (most notably from Edge & Willow Nightingale)& puzzling booking (Hobbs & Archer-two huge guys losing their matches to high priced flippers). TK would've been best ignoring the Punk interview from a few days ago. Most matches had the typical video game wrestling style you've come to expect EVERY week. I'm waiting for Mercedes Moné to jump into action, they better not wait much longer. Oh, how many times was Samoa Joe going to clock Swerve in the head with the fist wrapped with the chain? It reminded me of Sting getting hit in the head with Vampiro's cinderblock back in WCW. The action is becoming far too cartoony."

[9.0] "It's my 4th week as a regular viewer of dynamite since Hollywood star and osprey made their debuts. I really like that they are present at every show. They appear to be real stars and i am glad they are out there for character development. Kudos to aew for booking the show around them. Now when it comes to matches, I personally didn't want to see Hobbs, Archer and Best Friends. These are great wrestlers but insignificant to current PPV build. I would like to see more matches with wrestlers involved in current ppv build. i feel bored when random matchups happen. i didn't watch Billy Gunn vs Jay white, so went to X to watch highlights but it appears AEW has blocked me. I am sure it's a mistake from their end because why would anyone want to block their viewers. But I hope they continue to put Hollywood star mone, Osprey and Okada on every show. Really like how show was structured as it hooked me for most of the show. Hook is getting nice rub from Jericho. I like both. I am glad to be back as a regular viewer and intend to stay like that."

[5.0] "A weird feeling on this one. This show was hard to get lost in because several segments had me wondering what must have gone on out of the ring to prompt certain parts of it. For instance, the show started with Copeland putting over AEW and Tony Khan. I don't use social media and rarely ever look at wrestling news sites. I still have no idea if this was in response to something but it certainly felt like it. All I could think was "Who said what now? " Then there's Willow's interview segment, which was filmed with everyone's backs towards the audience. It looked strange and made me think that someone has said something about their attendance numbers. Then you have Gunn vs White. If this match had happened any time before say, the last twenty years, I'd be certain that White was being punished for something. Who knows what that was about, but again, my mind was taken off of the episode itself and sent into speculation mode about things outside of the episode. Why did this happen and why did no one stop it? The meta stuff is fun and we all enjoy thinking about it, but not while you're trying to get lost in the show itself. When they kept the camera on Orange and Trent after the match, letting us all know some kind of angle was coming, I was hoping Cassidy would roll out of the ring instead of hug at the very least. He's the guy a lot of people want to see a change of pace from, but it looks like we're going to be getting that from Trent instead. Maybe it can do something for Cassidy's character in the process. May vs Rosa was pretty forgettable and the trend of Toni Storm removing all attention from the match itself continues (though I admit she can be funny at times). There's only so many ways you can do the contract signing stuff but I thought they did a pretty good job of it. That and the opener in which Ospreay got to wrestle a different kind of match and Hobbs got to look more forceful than usual were the highlights. Now I'm going to have to look up what prompted the defensive stuff because it feels like I'm missing this episode's companion piece."

[5.0] "Probably the worst Dynamite of the year so far, this wasn't a good show... Ospreay and Bryan matches were good, but nothing spectacular, and White vs Gunn will probably be the worst AEW match of the year, truly a disgusting experience... the contract signing kind of saved the event, really good segment, Swerve signing the contract with his own blood was phenomenal."

[4.0] "A bit of a dull show saved only by the contract signing at the end. Most matches were fine, but Jay White vs Billy Gunn alone brought the whole show down, even worse it somehow went a whole 12 mins..Jesus. The opening promo from Copeland was just completely cringe, especially on one of AEWs worst episodes."

[4.0] "Ospreay vs Hobbs is worth the watch, but not much else here. The BD match was the kind with long stretches of boring heat, and the Jay White beatdown speaks for itself as one of the worst "matches" aew has ever put together. Standard fare from the young bucks and the women's match was unremarkable."

[6.0] "If this show was just the matches, I'd probably rate it a point higher, but it starting with an AEW propaganda promo from Adam Copeland and ending with a tired and pointless contract signing dragged it down quite a bit for me and that's not even mentioning Jay White's awful booking. [MOTN: Powerhouse Hobbs vs. Will Ospreay]"

[7.0] "Good show with a lot of variety, really enjoyed the tag match, ospreay/Hobbs and Bryan/Lance. Great promo by willow and I testing match between Rosa/may. Didn't really understand the point of the Jericho/hoon part but will hope they have a good plan for what they're doing"

[7.0] "Most of the show was of the quality we expect each week. Ospreay and Danielson proving themselves against one another by taking on monsters, some much-needed fresh direction for Orange Cassidy/Best Friends, and a memorable contract signing that made Swerve look like a million bucks were all positives. The Adam Copeland "rah rah" speech that opened the show was short and harmless, but unnecessary. I don't think Punk's interview was notable enough to address on this show. Thunder Rosa has not impressed since her return. Another forgettable match that did nothing to get me excited to watch her at the PPV. The biggest dud was the Billy Gunn/Jay White match. I get that Gunn has his physical limitations, but a prolonged crowd brawl/beatdown on Jay White was a bad idea."

[6.0] "An episode which, unlike last week, reaches 6 thanks to the last hour. The signing of the contract and the ending of the episode are awesome, Adam's initial promo is good, excellent both for warming up the audience and for pissing off, FINALLY Beretta turned heel on Cassidy and they are both out of the tournament... Thanks Bucks! Toni Storm continues to entertain, even though the match wasn't anything special. The rest ranges from boring to horrid. Ospreay and Danielson again engaged in boring matches, without rhyme or reason. Of the two, Danielson was much worse and struggled for a long time to beat someone who, no matter how good, will never be pushed, White vs Billy Gunn horrendous (whoever booked it should be ashamed), Jericho, Hook and Mercedes are useless"

[2.0] "It's a shame what AEW TV has become recently. The matches for the most part have always been a constant, but it just feels like they exist. There's very little actual heat right now between the wrestlers. Swerve and Joe had a nice step forward in that regard, however very few other programs have that feeling of high stakes in AEW right now. I didn't even think the Copeland promo was the most offensive thing on the show, that would be the Jay White/Billy Gunn disaster of a match. While it's not her fault, Thunder Rosa is out of her depth as the challenger for the women's world title right now. She's incredibly tough for coming back from that devastating back injury, however she isn't at top form yet, and she should not be challenging for that title right now. When your tagline is "where the best wrestle", you can't be putting on shows like this if you want that line to be taken seriously. Rough night for AEW."

[7.0] "If you look at the first 45 minutes, and most of the last 45 minutes, youd want to rate it high because those parts were absolutely incredible. Ospreay and Danielson are simply incapable of having bad matches, the Young Bucks' new gimmick is knocking it out of the park (and putting the Trent heel turn is inspired; has Okada been trying to bust apart his old faction? ) The women did a decent showing too, and Willow is certainly the wholesome babyface you could pin a division on against Mercedes being in the heel role she excels at. And dear god, the contract signing was quite simply amazing, showing once again how Swerve is quite simply, him. But we have to talk about the elephant in the room: what the hell was with that Billy Gunn match? Complete dropping of the ball, and it'll require a legendary trios title run to rehabilitate him. And for god's sake, get Hook out of the Jericho Vortex! At least it was in the middle of the show so we could get the taste out of our mouths, but still, what a dampener on the night."

[6.0] "probably the weakest show in the last month or so not much happened here for me except for the main event segment contract signing. That contract signing saved this show for me honestly without that this wouldve been an even worse rating."

[7.0] "If you could just pretend that the 20ish minute stretch spanning from Jericho, White-Gunn, and the post-match angle, this would have been a 9 out of 10 episode. All the matches were somewhere in the range of average to great. Liked all the promo segments. But that 20-minute stretch was beyond horrific with the White-Gunn and post-match segments being amongst the worst things I have ever seen on AEW TV. At no point did anything in that mess make a single bit of sense. And for the love of God please stop forcing Jericho on us, it's beyond obvious he has go away heat, GIVE HIM A LONG BREAK. And what are they going to do to rehab HOOK after his program with Jericho inevitably cools him off significantly? Thus, my score has to drop down to a 7. Sorry, it's a 120-minute show, you have 1/6 of it be shit."

[5.0] "The show started good with the Copeland promo and an cool match between the two Will's. The Willow promo was geat too. More women's promos like that, please! Trent's turn came out of nowhere an the Bucks are so much fun as heels. Dynamite ended great mit Swerve and Samoa Joe. BUT what was that Billy Gunn vs. Jay White match? One of the worst Matches AEW has ever produced. The Jericho & Hook segment was bad too."

[4.0] "The show started out well enough, with a fired-up Adam Copeland promo addressing some of the recent negativity around the company. We then got two good matches involving Will Ospreay and Bryan Danielson. Ospreay and Danielson will deliver every time, but I do have to question the booking logic of putting on two back-to-back David vs. Goliath matches in a row. Both matches essentially told the same story, with Danielson-Archer having a lesser impact because of it. From there, the show completely went off the deep end with the atrocious Jay White-Billy Gunn match where White essentially gets squashed by a 60-year-old career midcarder. This will likely go down as one of the worst matches of the year - if not THE worst, and dragged the show down considerably. The remaining matches were fine, and the main event angle involving Joe and Swerve was excellent, but it was difficult to recover after the indefensible Jay White booking."

[6.0] "There was some good stuff on this show, like The Battle of Wills, Willow Nightingale's promo, Trent Beretta's turn on Orange Cassidy and the main event segment, but this will be remembered for two things - Adam Copeland being completely the wrong person to send out to do the rallying speech following the CM Punk interview that heavily criticised the company (it should have been an original roster member or someone who's been there far longer than Copeland has), and Billy Gunn at 60 years old beating up former IWGP Champion Jay White for what seemed like forever. This of all weeks is difficult for AEW, but they didn't do themselves any favours, notwithstanding the recent out of character releases."

[7.0] "This episode featured three very good TV matches (Ospreay/Hobbs, Danielson/Archer, and Young Bucks/Best Friends), one decent match (Rosa/May), and one perplexing one (Gunn/White). On the promo/segment side, the Swerve/Joe contract signing was one of the best contract signings I've seen in wrestling, and the Willow segment was a heartwarming way to keep the TBS title angle(s) running hot. The Jericho segment, meanwhile, was a perplexing one. Unfortunately, the Gunn/White match and the Jericho segment ate up about 15 to 20 minutes in the middle of the show and it zapped the momentum from the first hour. Nevertheless, the big moments were handled well -- especially the Trent heel turn and the contract signing. And the vast majority of the in-ring work was at a high level."

[5.0] "This was their weakest showing post Revolution thus far. It started out solid enough with Ospreay/Hobbs and Danielson/Archer both being good matches, but having a completely uninterested Chris Jericho suck the life out of Hook, followed by the Gunn/White match that felt like it was an hour long sent this show off a cliff. The breakup of the Best Friends and the main event brought it back somewhat, but sheesh was this a weird show."

[4.0] "Copelands speech was cringe. AEW comes across as thin-skinned and insecure. As if they have to defend themselves from Punks interview. This is a wrestling show. Its not a court of law. I dont care about someone trying to defend the company from real world/outside BS. Gunn v White was awful. Jay Whites booking continues to baffle as does most of AEWs booking. Right now, the shows come across as disjointed. Its more hey, this is a cool match, right? Rather than, hey, heres the logical next progression of this feud or story. Im done with Jericho. Hes soured me on so many people. I am also apathetic to the Bucks. Not happy. Not mad. Just dont care. I do want to say that I am glad that Trent turned, feels like a new direction and a much needed one. However, Chuck Taylor pretty much no sold the turn. When the camera zooms to get reactions, he just looks lost out there and unsure of what to do/how to sell it."

[6.0] "Durchschnittliche Dynamite Ausgabe hat stark angefangen mit Copland Promo und de Opener Ospreay vs Powerhouse Hobbs .Auch Danielson vs Archer konnte überzeugen. Dann gings irgendwie Berg ab Gunn vs White war ein total Ausfall und auch das Nighgale/Mone Segment war etwas drüber Monesollte mal delviern im Ringg.Das TT Match war dann wieder etwas stärker besonders was nach dem Match passierte kam durchaus überraschend und der Main Event war im gegensatz zum Kracher der Damen in der Vorwoche okay. Das End Segment mit Joe und Strickland hat dann nochmal die Show mit einem guten Segment abgeschlossen ."

[8.0] "Copelands Aufritt zum Anfang hätte nicht sein müssen die Crowd war (so schien es mir )auch nicht wirklich mitgerissen. Ospreay führt seinen Siegeszug unterhaltsam weiter , diesmal zur Abwechslung mit einem Big Man. Schön nahtlos passend angeschlossen erscheint sein PPV Kontrahent Bryan zu seinem Match und auch Archer liefert eine sehr gute Leistung ab, indem er glaubwürdig dominiert und seinem Hell dasein alle Ehre macht. Gun vs White hat mich auf eine andere Art ganz gut unterhalten.Ich finde es übertrieben dem Match eine Wertung unter 3 zu geben , klar ist es schade um White aber sowas gehört auch zum Wrestling.Es können vor allem in so einem prall gefüllten Roster nicht alle Top Wrestler gleichzeitig in der upper Card glänzen selbst die mid card wird schon eng . Das Tag Match wie von beiden Teams erwartet macht Spaß wenn auch ohne Überraschungen. Insgesamt im Ring eine wunderbar abwechslungsreiche Ausgabe die alles vereint von spitzen Wrestling bis zu Comedy."

[5.0] "A very mixed bag of an episode by Dynamite standards. The opening promo was completely unnecessary and showed once again how thin-skinned Tony Khan is. The Chris Jericho stuff is atrocious. The Acclaimed remains one of the worst acts on the entire AEW roster. Jay White's booking is questionable and borders on hurting the product. Thunder Rosa vs Mariah May was not good at all. Ospreay vs Hobbs was a lot of fun. The Willow interview was awesome. The contract signing between Swerve & Joe was great. Danielson vs Archer & Young Bucks vs Best Friends was decent."

[8.0] "The ra-ra speech was cringe as was Joes Diddy comment. The Jay White-Billy Gunn business was also counterproductive. However, the rest of the show was very enjoyable."

[8.0] "The first hour or so was the most fun I've had watching a wrestling show in ages. Were the matches five star matches? Definitely not. Were they thoroughly entertaining and did time fly by while I was watching? Most definitely yes. I thought Ospreay vs Powerhouse Hobbs and Danielson vs Lance Archer were very good TV matches and the Daddy Ass vs Jay White was very entertaining, mid card comedy match... until the finish. The finish and following angle took the show down a notch but they recovered with a good Willow promo, decent Young Bucks vs The Best Friends match and following angle when Trent turned on Orange Cassidy. The womens match was a little clunky but the main event angle was good: Joe killing Swerve and Swerve signing the contract with his blood."

[7.0] "A basic but good little Dynamite this week. I loved the opening promo of Adam Copeland who's here to defend the company from some negativity and hype the future of his career in AEW, name dropping the big players and introducing Ospreay. The Hobbs vs Ospreay was very good and I hope it's gonna lead up to the Don Callis family betraying Will Ospreay (or the opposite) Danielson proves to his next PPV opponent that he can beat a big man too, the match was fine but I think Lance Archer is a little lazy sometimes. Jericho is cringe af. Billy Gunn vs Jay White was too much, it's boring and the feud with the acclaimed is weird. Mercedes Moné is apparently set to debut in ring for Double or Nothing according to her segment with Willow, is she really not gonna wrestle until then? Maybe she's still hurt. Really liked the Young Bucks vs Best Friends, the end of the match with Sue and Matt Jackson almost superkicking her was awesome! A lot of heat in this match, Trent turning on Orange Cassidy after was well done, with the running knee during the group hug. Thunder Rosa vs Mariah May was fine, Toni Storm is always great on commentary. The final segment was way too short but very cool, both Samoa Joe and Swerve looks like killers, but it's Strickland time for Dynasty."

[7.0] "A peculiar episode, with some very strong elements mixed with some very poor ones - sometimes in the same segment. The opening promo seemed to be very polarizing online, but I thought it was well delivered and sincere. The good tonight was the opener, the tag match, and the contract signing. Throw in a decent Danielson time-padding match and a women's match that wasn't perfect but did have alot of story work going for it. The only real stinky content here tonight was Jericho's weird continuation with Hook, and the continued assassination of Jay White. Jay White is a phenomenal chicken shit heel, but he should be cheating and conniving against much better talent then Billy Fucking Gunn. All of that nonsense after the match was insanely unnecessary too. I also need to mention Mercedes. Mercedes looks so manufactured next to Willow, with her dancing and catch phrases, that it is genuinely jarring. I really want to like her, but they are not playing to her strengths at all."

[4.0] "A quite disappointing show. It started off very strangely with the weird Adam Copeland promo, a part defensive promo and part rah-rah promo without an obvious reason for either. Really started the show off on the wrong foot. It was good to see Hobbs wrestle again on Dynamite. Danielson and Archer was a good match as expected. Billy Gunn and Jay White was booked very strangely. I've always loved Billy so I wasn't too upset but it did Jay White no good and he needs some help. Jericho's stuff has been so lame lately, I've no interest in this Hook angle. Samoa Joe looked like a boss."

[8.0] "The truth is that it wasn't a bad show, but there were things that caught a lot of attention because of how poorly they were booked. First, Copeland's promo was perfect. Just and necessary to calm the waters due to the turbulence at the beginning of this week. Ospreay vs Hobbs was okay in a sense, but it was much better than I expected. The fight of the night was between Danielson and Archer. The latter needs more minutes on TV, he is an exceptional talent and together with Roberts they are a very good duo for programming. What happened with Billy Gunn and Jay White was the worst of the night and I would say that it was AEW's lowest booking of the year. White was supposed to get the win, but giving Gunn the win by DQ was a huge mistake. Great segment from Willow, good microphone from her with Mercedes. I liked the fight between the Bucks and Best Friends, but the heel turn at the end was fantastic and unexpected. I hope this story has a good direction. Another negative point was the women's fight between Mariah and Thunder, I felt that the latter could not get used to the fighting style that was taking place today. She performs better in "Street Fight" type or more technical fights, but today was quite weak. The final segment was out of this world and one of the best this year, complete from start to finish. There is no solution for Jericho anymore, he must start taking some time and leave the programming, the saturation of his character becomes tiring and makes people get bored. The show wasn't bad, but there were moments that felt low. 8/10."

[7.0] "This was a very weird Dynamite. Because in some ways, it had some of the best stuff all year. The two opening matches were absolutely fantastic, and honestly, Adam Copeland's opening promo, while cheesy, was a breath of positivity that the company was in desperate need of. It had a great tag team match with The Best Friends vs Young Bucks with a beautifully done heel turn from Trent. Willow Nigtingale gave a great promo followed by Mercedes absolutely bringing the hype. And to cap it off, the contract signing between Joe and Swerve, which made both of them look like absoutely badasses, especially Swerve. Rising up from a pool of his own blood to mock Joe for that being all he has and signing the contract with his own blood shot Swerve up to my top 2 favorite AEW wrestlers (next to MJF). But goddamn, are the neagtives notable. Jericho vs Hook had the crowd absolutely lifeless, and the only progress in it is "let's face a random tag team again". Mariah May vs Rosa was fun, but Rosa's new finisher really wasn't a convincing way to end the match. But the elephant in the room is the absolutely awful Jay White vs Billy Gunn match. I've been more patient with Jay White's booking in AEW than most, but having a nearly 10 minute match be almost entirely made up of Jay White cowering, backing away from, and being dominated by Billy is absolutely disgraceful. It did nothing to advamce the BCG vs Acclaimed feud either, it's payoff just being "Acclaimed beat up Jay White and The Gunns after Jay gets disqualified". Even if it wasn't done to Jay White, and was done to a lower-card heel like say, Jeff Jarrett, having a match be 90% "heel backs away in terror and gets beat up for about 10 minutes" makes it so dull and lifeless. I normally would have given this Dynamite a 9, but man that massive blemish drags it down."

[9.0] "I really enjoyed this show. Edge's firey promo had me wanting to run through a wall. Really hyped up the fans and sold AEW. Battle of Wills was an excellent wrestling match. Danielson vs Archer is a match I didn't know I needed. Willow's promo was incredible and she finally felt like a real star. Bucks vs. Best Friends was a lot of fun and the heel turn was shocking and cool. The contract signing was an all time great segment and really sold Swerve and Joe. Only real negative was Jay White and Billy Gunn and I hardly noticed it. Great, fun show."

[9.0] "I enjoyed this show. Adam copelands promo was good. i liked how it transitioned to will ospreay vs powerhouse hobbs. I loved the match. will ospreay is one of the greatest workers today. hobbs is also really good too. Both guys deserve gold. bryan danielson defeated lance archer in a good match as well. The young bucks beat best friends and trent turned on orange cassidy. thunder rosa defeated mariah may in a good match. mariah may is one of the best workers in the womens division today. Willow nightingale did a promo that was good. Samoa joe and Swerve had a contract signing that was fun."

[5.0] "Not good. At least by AEW standards, not good. Started with a really fiery Adam Copeland promo and into two really good matches and then immediately fell off a cliff. That Billy Gunn match is a worst match of the year competitor. A 15 minute fuck around, walk and brawl special with absolutely 0 Jay White offensive and then ended in a terrible fuck finish. A bad match, for a bad angle, with a bad finish. That's the worst combination imaginable. Then there's a very nice Willow promo that gets interrupted by another Mercedes Mone promo that I could positively care less about and didn't do anything for her. The most awful thing about it is her coming out to the ring, with her music, and a microphone in hand. Don't tell me this shit is fake. I know it, but don't tell me. At this point, I seriously considered turning the show off, taking a shower, and going to drive Uber for a bit. I literally walked away and started the shower. Then I walked back to see Orange Cassidy wrestling and I was like, ok we're wrestling and sat back down. I should have went to go make money because that match was boring as hell, and then there was a Thunder Rosa / Mariah May match that looked positively terrible. Rosa needs to get a hold of herself because she looked like she was sandbagging Mariah while also being way too aggressive with her moves. She messed up damn near every spot. It was bad. The contract signing was brilliant, but I could have watched that 10 minutes another day and would not have been mad about it. This was not must watch, nothing happened that I wouldn't have wanted spoiled. We are absolutely going in the wrong direction for me."

[4.0] "AEW TV post Revolution 2024 has largely felt very cold with no hooks of interest beyond pretty good wrestling sometimes. None of the stories they are trying to tell resonate with me in any way and when one doesnt care much for the stories, its at least left to the in ring action to carry the weight of which it has had some pretty good ones like the first two matches setting up a face/face dream match effectively in spite of the fact that the conflict setting up either of those matches was not memorable at all on top of predictable outcomes. Mercedes has largely been doing the same thing for four weeks and is now being handed a title shot. No investment in Rosa/Toni as a program as well as no investment in the acclaimed/BCG. No investment in Jericho/Hook. Bucks potentially getting another tag title run on top does nothing for me. Strickland/Joe also feels cold to me as a program with Stricklands face turn not clicking especially on the heels of the feud with Adam Page. Supercard of Honor this weekend has arguably the worst build in the 18 year history of the show under ROH and Id be willing to cut it slack if AEW was producing much compelling but they really arent. Its a shame because AEW has a lot of wrestlers signed that I like but their stories largely dont interest me at all and pretty good but almost completely predictable matches dont do much to help them. At a time of negative press between the weeks firings and one particularly disparaging interview this week, I felt they could have at least put their best foot forward here to try to invigorate interest and while there was some good wrestling, there is not much compelling to tune in for week to week."
