[5.0] "Middle of the card was decent with the Battle Riot being a fun but flawed Indy Royal Rumble. The opener stank and the promos were pretty much all skips but they weren't egregious enough to warrant rating this any lower than any of the other MLW events they have for free on YouTube"

[7.0] "Battle Riot shows are always fun for me. That last man standing match was awesome and I really like the idea that they have to sit on the throne for 10 seconds. The Cesar Duran storyline is getting a little old with tons of interference but at least Contra is still Contra. The Battle Riot was really fun but I wish the CMLL guys lasted longer and weren't just thrown in at the beginning."

[8.0] "This years Battle Riot was a fun watch. The opener was average, while the Kane vs Francis match was fun, especially with Mark Henry and Teddy Long being involved. The world title match was passable, but it wasn't the focus of the evening. The Battle Riot match was a fun watch, with a nice mix of older and younger stars. However, Lawlor entering three times got kinda old by the third time, and Matt Riddle winning the whole thing was pretty obvious. Despite that, the whole show was definitely a success."

[6.0] "The first three matches were all fine. Kane vs Francis was - a bit surprisingly, considering what we've seen in the past from the former Top Dolla - probably the best of them; the rules format (a sort of Texas Death Match variant) helped tell the story in a solid brawl between the two. Fun seeing Teddy Long and Mark Henry involved as well. Kai vs Exo was OK, while Kojima vs Lawlor was a solid title defense for the former. The Battle Riot itself was fun (I'm a sucker for battle royals and in particular Rumble variations like this) with some decent action as battle royals allow, some fun surprise entrants (I may be showing my age to have enjoyed seeing the likes of Ernest Miller, complete with his WCW entrance robe, and Scotty Riggs as much as I did). It wasn't perfect - I like Lawlor, but his two comedy re-entrances got a little old, Paul Walter Hauser was probably booked a little too strong in the thing, and Riddle winning was maybe a little obvious - but it was a fun match overall. Solid show."

Battle riot is always my favorite show that MLW puts on each year i feel like there was a bit to much tom lawlor and that actor guy in this show idk whats the plan there if theyre trying to have that be a feud going forward i have no interest in that to be honest. Matt Riddle i believe was obvious as the winning but i feel like it was the only choice so im fine with that. Good show im looking forward to there next show."

I really enjoyed the Ritual Combat match with Big Mark Henry and Teddy Long involved. Alex Kane rightly defeats AJ Francis and looked great sitting on that throne. Battle Riot was enjoyable enough and featured some cool surprises. Was nice to see the likes of Andrew Everett, CW Anderson and Scotty Riggs. GREAT Minoru Suzuki reveal. I wanted more from Manders & Krügger. Riddle winning makes sense. He's their biggest star. Ultimately, it delivered - just about."

[5.0] "A show largely centered around the Battle Riot which lasted longer than the other three matches combined. A fine opener although Ive been waiting for Janai to have that real standout match in her title reign that she is capable of. The other two matches were fine with Kojima looking better than in some of his other recent MLW matches. The Battle Riot was laid out well with some nice surprises such as Andrew Everett, CW Anderson, Minoru Suzuki, Scotty Riggs, Shane Mercer, and Slim J. Riddle winning the Battle Riot was expected and unsurprising with the way they have pushed him since his MLW return but it is not something I have a lot of interest in which is more than I can say for the continued arc with Salina/Duran who along with MSL really weigh down the MLW product for me with how much all three are focused on. A shame as MLW does have a lot of good talent on their roster. 5.5"
