[1st match] Quick lucha stuff followed by the infamous double no-sell standoff spot that the FWA always do. Lots of quick pin attempts - one looked an obvious 3 to me, but wasn't called. More lucha, top rope moves and a few power moves. Ross's diving DDT to a standing Maayan looked scary. Very good match, these 2 alone are great, but together their magic. (***1/2) [2nd match] Vansen really should have kept this long gear! The match is mostly all Vansen, chain wrestling and tope rope moves were good. Too much time was spent outside the ring though, alot of stalling also. Good showing for Lynn though, fans were really behind him (***) [3rd match] Most of this match is 2v1, went too long and had a few too many hope spots. Put over Stixx & Stone as a monster team though. (*1/2) [4th match] Stalling, comedy & missed spots. DDL's hanging in the ropes stomp spot looked nasty. Good moves & heel work by the Massive, but match itself wasn't great. (*3/4) [5th & 6th matches] Shane/JC Thunder is literally a 2 move squash, but humourous at least (-**) Shane/Knight is comedy spots galore and with the typical Shane messy finish. Stevie looked impressive and credible though. (**) They actually show the Morecambe raffle! which builds to a future angle. [Main] So amazing to hear Suzuki's music in the FWA. Great early spots by Scorpio & Marufuji. Williams & Suzuki is more technical as you'd expect. NOAH guys are great heels, but even this match has many comedy spots in it. Finish was good and unexpected, an okay-ish match, not as strong styled as maybe you'd expect though. (***) The show itself was very average and very comedy filled, maybe too much for some and didn't really feel like a special show. The 1st, 2nd & main were good, everything else was missable. |
