[8.0] "Very good event with really good tag team matches and some of them were a build up and the same goes for YOH vs Kanemaru. The New Japan Cup final was fantastic Tsuji proved once again that he will be on of the top future stars of New Japan and Got showed that at his 45 he still got it.I think it was a match that putted both of them over and the right person won despite i wanted Goto to win because i really want Goto to win the IWGP World Heavyweight Championship."

[6.0] "This is really only a one match show. The NJ cup final was fun to watch, even though the result was predictable. Hirooki Goto was never going to win and have another failed title challenge. Tsuji feels like a big time wrestler and has the fans on his side. The rest of the card was to setup the next big shows Sakura Genesis and Windy City Riot. It was a strange NJ cup, who knows if David Finlay was actual supposed to make the finals."

[4.0] "It was a very boring and disappointing show. Most of the matches seemed to go half-heartedly; not a single build for future shows seemed interesting to me. I'm happy for the promotion of young talent, but why can't it be Shota Umino or Ren Narita? Plus, the J-Cup final itself was very mediocre, with a lot of moves that look fake, which feels like more inspired by mexican wrestling from Yota than Japanese one. And, I'm sick of "LIJ"'s internal feud with each other at this point. However, I will still say thanks to the match involving "TMDK" vs. "United Empire", as well as the match with "Just 5 Guys". These were the only two matches that I liked, cause they felt alive, and not half-asleep or overbooked like the other ones."

[5.0] "What matters most is whether the audience had fun. That was the case, so everything was done right. In front of the screen, however, this was such a nothing event. Nine matches are too many for such a tedious undercard and the main event ultimately couldn't save what felt like a slog to get through. I like Goto, but the likelihood of him taking the upset win here was slim. As much as I would have liked to see him face Naito for the title, Tsuji was the right call. It was quite interesting to see Goto immediately lose after trying to channel his inner Rainmaker. That couldn't have been a coincidence, could it?"

[7.0] "Best night of the tournament, with a great NJC final match, while there were a couple of matches that weren't so great. BUSHI & Hiromu Takahashi vs Katsuya Murashima & Shoma Kato: BUSHI actually picking up a win for his team was surprising to see, Kato and Murashima did their parts as young lions well [**]. Francesco Akira, Great O-Khan & TJP vs Ryusuke Taguchi, Tanga Loa & Tomohiro Ishii: Loa and GOK had a good preview of their inevitable KOPW title match, Ishii and TJP had an interesting time in the ring opposite each other, all gave a decent showing [**3/4]. Mikey Nicholls & Zack Sabre Jr vs Another good showing from TMDK, which led another victory on this tour, Newman got pinned again which was not good for him, Cobb showcased his power a couple of times [***]. Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Togi Makabe & YOSHI-HASHI vs Chase Owens, Gabe Kidd & KENTA: The action was average, it was slow at times, the ending with the title belt being used was not the best way to go with this [*3/4]. Jack Perry, Ren Narita & Yujiro Takahashi vs El Desperado, Shota Umino & Yuji Nagata: Another average HoT match, the action was not that great and at the end when Narita hit Nagata with a low blow and locked in the submission which ended the match did not need to happen that way [*1/4]. YOH vs Yoshinobu Kanemaru: Okay little match, that made YOH look like a viable contender for the Junior Heavyweight Title against reigning champion SHO who was at ringside, Kanemaru trying once again to use the whisky in the match to spray YOH in the face which backfired that got Kanemaru the loss [**]. Boltin Oleg, El Phantasmo, Hikuleo, Jado & Toru Yano vs Just 5 Guys: A decent 10 man tag match, had good pacing throughout, Boltin started with DOUKI who made Boltin look good and gave him the chance to shine which he did, ELP picking up the win was good to see [***]. Shingo Takagi & Tetsuya Naito vs Dick Togo & EVIL: The double countout at first was not good, then the match got restarted and the action was not that great, the ref bump at the end did not need to happen, should not have been the semi main event, Naito pinning Togo was the only good thing about this match [1/2*]. Yota Tsuji vs Hirooki Goto: This NJC 2024 final match was the best match in the tournament, Tsuji winning was a surprise, he and Goto threw everything and more at one another, hard to tell at times who could have won, I thoroughly enjoyed this match from bell to bell [****3/4]"

[8.0] "Great show, every multi-man tags did their job which is to build to the next big matches that we will get for Sakura Genesis. The crowd was great and the final was probably one of the best finals in the New Japan Cup's history. Great way to end the tour."

[4.0] "A boring show with a terrible undercard that just went for way too long. The only thing that saves it is the main event which was a damn good match but there is nothing of at least good in the other parts of the card. Just see the main-event and skip the other stuff. **"
