[7.0] "From the comments it seems i'm the only one that i like the event.Unfortunately one of the two New Japan Cup matches cancelled due to Finlay's illness.I think the main event, TMDK vs UE and Taichi and Uemura vs Umino and Yoshi-Hashi was good enough."

[5.0] "The undercard matches feel like they're getting even longer as they get even more bland and repetetive every night"

[4.0] "At this point in the tour, I'm starting to feel the undercard fatigue and this night heavily exacerbated that feeling. I get it, New Japan were left in a crap position with one of their tournament matches having to be cancelled because of Finlay's illness and they tried to compensate by making the undercard matches longer. While it did result in some of the undercard matches flowing better, the length got a little grating by the end. Though it wasn't the fault of New Japan themselves, the lack of a second tournament match really hurt this card as well because the main event just wasn't enough to hold this card up. The memorial ceremony to Yutaka Yoshie in the beginning had me tearing up though. Rest in peace Yutaka Yoshie, and get well soon David Finlay. [MOTN: Jack Perry vs. SANADA]"

[4.0] "Boltin Oleg, Shoma Kato & YOH vs El Desperado, Katsuya Murashima & Togi Makabe: Standard undercard match featuring young lions, the only interesting thing about this match was the interactions between Boltin Oleg and Togi Makabe which looked intriguing [**]. Francesco Akira, Great O-Khan & Jeff Cobb vs Ryusuke Taguchi, Tanga Loa & Tomohiro Ishii: Jeff Cobb picked up another win which is the right choice, Cobb and Ishii in the ring at the same time during this was interesting to watch, it was okay [**3/4]. Mikey Nicholls & Zack Sabre Jr vs Callum Newman & TJP: Personally I felt this match was about 5 minutes too long, ZSJ and Nicholls were the obvious winners with the roll they have been on in this tour so far, Callum Newman obviously had to take the fall in this match like he has many times in this tour, otherwise the action was okay [**1/4]. BULLET CLUB vs Guerrillas Of Destiny & Toru Yano: I didnt like this one much to be honest, from the chaotic pre bell brawl, to the action being average at best to the finish [*1/4]. Taichi & Yuya Uemura vs Shota Umino & YOSHI-HASHI: Uemura got a big win by pinning YOSHI-HASHI in this one, the action was solid, Umino and YOSHI-HASHI worked well as a team and showed tag team tactics that was good to see [***3/4]. Los Ingobernables de Japon vs House Of Torture: Not a bad multi man match, didnt think it needed to get 17 minutes, it was a bit of a chaotic mess at times, HoT trying at the end to use their underhanded tactics which backfired wasnt needed [**1/4]. SANADA vs Jack Perry: This should not have been the main event, HoT continue to interfere in HoT members matches which did ruin it, did not like it that much [*1/2]"

[3.0] "Very weak card for such a big market and Finlay having to forfeit is obviously not helping the show at all as it left us with a weak main event. The tag matches were fine but that's about it. Hopefully next time they come back to Dolphins Arena they will have a much better card to make up for this mess."

[4.0] "Average undercard as always but the fact that the sixth and seventh match were kinda a disappointment and the absence of Finlay drags this down even more. I just wish that it isn't anything serious. The main-event was actually the only real good bout and I would reccomend it. *3/4"

"At some point there needs to be a real discussion about whether or not NJPW is treating the secondary markets in Japan with any respect. There were extenuating circumstances on this night, but what was the excuse at New Beginning? Or at New Beginning last year? Or the G1 show last summer? The 4th largest city in the country deserves better than a decent BoSJ card once a year."
