[7.0] "another great show, aj getting the title shot is such a perfect choice. the solo character change is great and the new titles are perfection. the tag match was so good as it was given nearly 20 mins. the main event was also decent."

[6.0] "not a horrible episode of smackdown but it seems the main events always end in a dq or no contest on smackdown I have noticed"

[9.0] "I really liked the pacing of this episode. The Bloodline segments continue to be a great backbone for SmackDown. In particular, the ones on this show were top notch. AJ Styles and LA Knight have built a good chemistry in the ring. AJ can have a fairly long feud with Cody, there is a lot of material. The Tag Team match was a lot of fun. Santos vs Carlito was solid but the slowburn is getting...too slow and repetitive maybe.. Damage CTRL-Bianca and Jade had a very refreshing segment Bayley vs Naomi was a good main event, I would have had a more substantial beatdown to justify the DQ but Tiffany finally has some heat. Oh, and the new tag team belts are gorgeous, which brings my rating from 8.5 to 9"

[6.0] "A seemingly typical episode where the most memorable moment was The Bloodline beatdown of Kevin Owens and AJ Styles earning the number one contender's spot to Cody Rhodes' title. The match of the night was probably the tag team match and there was definitely good build toward Backlash all night long. A solid 3 star show."

[5.0] "When the best part of your show every week is when no one is wrestling, something is wrong. The Bloodline is eventually going to run out of steam. The question is, will they be able to move on? It's a great part of the show and the entire story will be seen as one of the best WWE has ever done but there does come a point when it becomes a crutch. I think WWE still has too many of the same issues that made it tedious. Of course, if you love 20/30/40 minute talking segments and backstage skits, you're in heaven. It's not my thing."

[8.0] "For the second week running, the Bloodline stuff was the most interesting part of the show. Paul Heyman is milking his character's reactions to the new status quo for everything it's worth and it makes for delicious television. Tama Tonga continues to be presented as an absolute crazy person. Kevin Owens being rolled out with an open freaking wound on his head was legit jaw-dropping. Add in Nick Aldis' warning to Heyman, and this thing is currently cookin' with gas. Ready for it to manifest in some wrestling - Jimmy Uso, Kevin Owens, and, presumably, Roman Reigns have to come for some vengeance at some point in the future. The new title reveal went about the same as it did on RAW. Waller and Theory have the vain, goofball heel thing down to a science at this point, although they did underwhelm on commentary."

[6.0] "The overall quality of matches makes me not going with a 7 for this one. The show started really good with AJ vs Knight and the Tag Team contender's match, but the last two matches were below average. I didn't like how they basically did the same segment for the Tag Titles reveal, with the same lame corporative speach Triple H always delivers, but this time with a heel team disrespecting him. Instead of recreating the segments, maybe they should've waited until the draft and have both teams receive the titles in the same segment, but that's just me, it wasn't really a wrong thing. I'm so amazed by how Solo Sikoa has changed in just two weeks. They made him show personality for once while keeping his seriousness and straight cold killa attitude, but this time upgrading him to be a new mafia leader going over Roman as a consecuence for his loss. I don't know is KO's blood was real or not, but it added so much savagery to the segment and both Solo and Tama Tonga look like real threats. If Jacob Fatu is really going to join them, oh my god... No one is ready for that. I'm hyped for what will happen with Kevin being the first rival of Solo. I don't know if they're going for a tag match at Backlash or just one on one, but they got my undivided attention. Special shoutout to Paul Heyman, who's acting is being great so far, and also Nick Aldis for being a GM with some balls to make people know who's in charge. Show was quite solid as every other since night 2 of WrestleMania. I hope this consistency keeps up."

[7.0] "This is a pretty rare occasion where I'm rating a show higher because of the segments in between the matches. I absolutely loved the bloodline stuff and how violent it was. I wish WWE brought this level of violence more often. The matches were alright too, but there wasn't anything too exciting on this show otherwise in my opinion. [MOTN: Authors of Pain vs. Legato del Fantasma vs. The Street Profits vs. New Catch Republic]"

[8.0] "A solid episode of Smackdown. Enjoyed AJ vs LA and fatal 4-way matches.I liked the new tag titles design and i hope they change undisputed title as well. New bloodline segment was amazing, you can see the consequences of losing from Paul Heyman's eyes. Santos vs Carlito doesn't makes sense anymore I don't know why still doing it. I think it needs fresh rivalries on both sides. Bayley vs Naomi match was okay match and good to see Tiffany come down and shine. Probably it will be triple threat match."

"Very good episode of Smackdown. My favorite part was definitely Tama Tongas beat down on Kevin Owens. Bringing blood into the mix enhanced the segment that much more and really established what the new bloodline will be like. Episode rating: 7.5/10"

[8.0] "Pretty good episode of Smackdown, started off with a good match in LA Knight vs AJ Styles, then the unveiling of the BEAUTIFUL WWE Tag Team Titles, and the great number one contenders match that came after that once again. The Bloodline just keeps getting insane to watch every week now. Carlito vs Santos was kinda bad because this story dragged on for a while now, and the WWE Womens Championship was barely decent. Overall the first half of the show was amazing, but the 2nd half after the Bloodline segment really died down."

[6.0] "A show with more in the way of story going forward to compensate for a lack of experience of in ring being the strongest. Some effective build toward Backlash while other bits could have been better. The Owens segment was overall my highlight of the show."

"Finally, Solo Sikoa becomes interesting. It has taken over a year for me to pay proper attention to him on the main roster now, but I'm glad we're now at a point where he speaks and acts of his own accord instead of being a grunty enforcer for Roman Reigns. Paul Heyman's always great but I'm particularly interested in seeing him out of his depth and rapidly losing control over what's left of the Bloodline in Roman's absence. Kevin Owens bleeding like a stuck pig, and Tama Tonga's car crashed into his? This was very 90s RAW, in a very good way. Hearing "we want Roman" so soon after his defeat tells me that Roman's return as a babyface will finally get him the good guy run he was supposed to have. The Women's Title match was good. Bayley's always got my attention and Naomi impresses with her athletics, but having a no contest finish with Tiffany Stratton was a little... "eh". I like all three of them, don't get me wrong - I just dislike interference finishes for title matches. I suppose you can't have Naomi look bad or Bayley lose two weeks in, so this is the best outcome. Santos Escobar v Carlito was a bit dull. Carlito hasn't impressed me in-ring since his return at Backlash, but Escobar continues to entertain with his combination of high-flying and sneaky offence. AJ Styles and LA Knight The Tag Fatal Four-Way went on for a very long time, which really surprised me given it was a television match. The Street Profits put in a great show, as did Legado del Fantasma. The Authors of Pain looked dominant and very strong even despite spending a big chunk of the match being wailed on by three other teams. I still can't really get behind them yet but we'll see. Pete Dunne is great, I've always liked him; but Tyler Bate... something about him (and it's probably entirely me) just puts me off. I don't know if it's the look, the "big strong boy" thing; no, I know what it is. In a sport that relies on choreography under the guise of looking spontaneous, Bate's spots in this match looked REALLY noticeable in terms of needing to be set up and helped into positions. It didn't look particularly fluid to me. Every wrestler has their "spot". Rey Mysterio always manages to get a 619 in somehow, Undertaker's Tombstone, Rollins' Stomp etc - but these all look pretty natural during the course of it. Maybe it's because it was an eight man match and I'm being too harsh. We'll see. Looking forward to the Draft."

[6.0] "A rather average Smackdown but with good segments and a pleasant Styles/Knight. Cody/Styles is a very good poster for Backlash. The new titles are very nice, better than Raw's new ones. Bloodline is getting a new lease of life and renewed interest for me. Perhaps new sub-clans, betrayals, a bit in the Bullet Club vein."

[7.0] "Pretty much a stalling episode until the Draft starts next week. AJ Styles became Cody Rhodes' first challenger, Tama Tonga tried to murder Kevin Owens, and Tiffany Stratton got involved in the Women's Title match. The wrestling itself didn't stand out a whole lot."

[8.0] "Another good episode of WWE main roster programming. They are on a roll at the moment. This Smackdown doesn't stand out as being overly memorable but it was really solid. The four way number one contenders match was great fun. All the stuff with Solo and the Bloodline continues to intrigue. Heyman is an incredible performer. Loved the WE WANT ROMAN chants during their segment. AJ Styles picking up the win to face Cody is the right move. Stratton getting involved in Bayley/Naomi is the right move. And finally, the new WWE tag titles are the best looking belts they've introduced since NXT UK."

[9.0] "Solid episode of Friday Night SmackDown and a solid build to the upcoming BackLash PPV happening in France. The WWE Championship match was set tonight as well as number one contenders for the new WWE Tag Team Champions. I knocked it down a point because I didn't see a reason why Santos Escobar vs Carlito needed to happen. It also appears the WWE Women's Championship match is going to be Bayley vs Naomi vs Tiffany Stratton in a Triple Threat Match. The Bloodline also looks as devastating as ever with Solo Sikoa at the helm and Tama Tonga. Overall, this was a fantastic episode of SmackDown."
