| 19 | 11.06.2024 | Telecine | 7.0 | Mir hat der Angle um Tama Tonga und die neue Bloodline wirklich gefallen und das nicht nur wegen der Überraschung um Tama Tonga. Die neue Dynamik mit Solo Sikoa als Anführer finde ich wirklich interessant und sie kann nun dazu führen, dass Sikoa und Tama mit Paul Heyman als Manager eine neue Frische bringen. Im Opener finde ich es cool, dass man LA Knight, der weiterhin sehr over zu sein scheint, wieder ein Stückchen Richtung Uppercard pusht. Tiffany Stratton finde ich gar nicht mal schlecht dafür, dass sie noch ziemlich unerfahren ist. Das zweite Three Way mit Styles, Rey und Owens war hervorragend und das Finish mit dem Styles Clash vom Seil auf Owens absolut lupenrein. So war es für mich insgesamt eine der besten SmackDown Ausgaben der letzten Monate. Die langweiligen Midcard-Fehden sind alle bei WrestleMania zu Ende gegangen, die Bloodline wirkt frisch und neue Dinge haben ihren Anfang. |

Really well done; much better than Cody Rhodes' promo, which wasn't bad per se, but at this point I'm kind of tired of the Cody Rhodes babyface victory laps and am ready for him to start feuding with somebody else. As for the matches themselves, it was good to see AJ Styles and LA Knight advance in the Universal Title contender race, and I look forward to the future PPV match between Styles and Rhodes. |

Es gibt 2 Squash Matches, ein langweiliges Naomi vs. Tiffany und 2 nette aber recht kurze Triple Threat Matches. Auch wenn die Matches in den Weeklys nicht der Fokus sind, würde ich mir hier mehr Substanz wünschen, denn das Talent dafür hat man im Roster. Storytechnisch hat man aber gute Weichen gestellt, LA Knight oder AJ Styles wird der erste Herausforderer für Cody, der zu Beginn der Show ein gute und kompakte Promo hält. Bron Breakker debutiert alleine, ohne Baron Corbin, was ich gut finde und auch für Bayley gibt es die erste Herausforderin. Schade nur, dass der Teil mit Stratton und Naomi echt nicht gut war. Am Mikrofon waren beide absolut schrecklich und künstlich, während das Match eher langweilig ist. Schade für Bayley, die an sich eine gute Promo gehalten hat. Eine interessante Entwickllung gibt es auch in der Bloodline mit dem Turn gegen Jimmy Uso und dem Debut von Tama Tonga, was ganz gut gemacht war. Auch bei der LWO stellt man die Weichen langsam in Richtung Turn von Carlito. Insgesamt keine schlechte Ausgabe, die viele aufbaut und einleitet, bei der aber auch wenig herausragt. |

Fängt allerdings gleich an mit Codys Promo, der diesmal einen neuen Challenger sucht, der im Turnierformat ausgefochten werden soll. Teilnehmerfeld ein Mixed Bag. Opener ist solide TV Wrestlingkost mit LA Knight als erwartbaren Sieger. Von den Teilnehmern das weitaus uninteressantere der beiden Matches. Bron Breakker gibt sein wohl offizielles Main Roster Debut in einem Squash Match gegen Cameron Grimes, den gibt es ja auch noch. Bloodline Promo hat mir nicht zugesagt. Läuft wirklich Gefahr in überlänge gezogen zu werden (was es ja eh schon ist) und noch schlimmer zur modernen NWO/Wolfpac Story zu werden. Tama Tonga feiert sein Debut und ist da jetzt auch dabei. Immerhin bringt man bei SD nun auch neue Stars, aber es ist auch nur Tama Tonga. Da hätte man weitaus heißere NJPW Stars bekommen können, was man ja in der Vergangenheit auch schonmal gebracht hat. Wenn man bedenkt, dass Reigns wohl nun noch weniger da sein wird und man nun Solo Sikoa als Main Guy bekommt, bevor Reigns wohl irgendwann Face turnen wird, fällt es mir sehr schwer mich darauf irgendwie freuen zu können. Bayley Promo war nett, auch sie sucht neue Challenger. Naomi wird es wohl nach dem Sieg über Tiffany Stratton. Wieder solide TV Kost. Jade Cargill bekommt erneut ein Squash-Match. Auch hier weiß ich eben, dass ihr Potential nicht arg viel mehr über das hinausgeht, also auch Semi-Hype hier. Und der Main Event ist dann doch ein gutes Match mit Rey, Styles und Owens, wo aber mit Styles vermutlich der falsche gewinnt, da man jetzt schon vor (Wrestlemania) Backlash das Wrestlemania Rematch bekommt. Ich hoffe Styles gewinnt das aber, AJ Styles gegen Cody hätte was, LA Knight sehe ich doch eher in der Midcard. Nette Show, hatte ihre Momente, aber den großen Hype konnte man hier mit nichts davon entfachen. |

The first triple threat was pretty good. The Bloodlines segment was really amazing too, the character change by Solo in just one week is insane, hes just a quiet guy in the corner and now hes basically the tribal chief. Bron Breakker looking dominant as always but I hate how Cameron Grimes is so mistreated in this business though. Bayleys promo was good and Tiffany vs Naomi was great too. The main event was a great spotfest and triple threats & AJ Styles are great combinations. Overall a pretty good episode of Smackdown, about the same amount as good as Raw. |
