302.01.2025TPG9.0A fantastic show from start to finish. Not only is Ospreay VS Oku somehow one of my favourite matches of all time, but there's a lot of other great stuff to be found here. I had a lot of fun with the opening seven-way scramble, the stellar match with Zack Sabre Jr. and Connor Mills, Robbie X and Mustafa Ali and Luke Jacobs VS JJ Gale being personal highlights. Everything else was fun as well, aside from a mediocre Ogogo and Ricky Knight Jr. I'd definitely recommend this show, given some of the best matches on the card are free on YouTube.
410.11.2024SodaRebs9.0This show was absolutely brilliant. Very few matches fell truly short of the high standard set here, and when they did, other factors played a reasonable part. At the end of the day though, no match was truly bad and with three brilliant matches, with one being an absolute barnburner, its hard not to love this show. Definitely the best RevPro show Ive ever seen, probably the best show Ive ever attended live, and one of my favourite experiences in wrestling.

1016.04.2024arrancar5.0This had a handful of low-level good matches, a bunch of middling matches, and a few outright weak matches. Even if the main-event *really* hit for you, I still dont see how that alone makes up for how underwhelming the rest of the show was. The opening 7-way scramble was a very generic multi-man match. Cassidy was a nice surprise, but the positives ended there. The entire match was over-choreographed spots one after the other, with everyone constantly cycling in and out whenever the next spot/sequence was due. Most damningly, despite the non-stop pace and mindless action they went for, none of it resulted in any moments that were remotely creative or truly impressive. It was just very mediocre work with a bad structure. **1/4. Dani vs Safire was okay. They were a bit slow or underwhelming at points but I liked the contrast of Danis impactful powerhouse offence against Safires quicker, sharper strikes. Both were decent when rapidly trading big moves or when dominating with big moves. A shame the match ended due to Safire stupidly losing focus despite being in control, instead allowing herself to get stupidly blindsided. The match had built up well prior to that. **3/4. Windsors post-match attack on Dani was generic and underwhelming. Leube & Nakashima vs Lacey & Trew was another okay match. I was more impressed with the heels, given their entertainingly cheeky and sneering character work and the solid chemistry and good energy in their tag spots. The Young Blood babyfaces werent nearly as cohesive and looked more limited. Leubes powerhouse work was good but should've been showcased more, while Nakashima didnt look very polished all around. The straight-forward structure allowed this to be more enjoyable than not. **3/4. Jacobs vs Gale was yet another okay match. It desperately tried to be an epic, given it was a generic, bastardised strong-style recreation with strike spam, over-animated selling, and forced fighting spirit. Some of their strikes were even accompanied by hokey thigh slaps anyways. Their non-strike spots were also often over-coordinated, and at times they were even outright sloppy. At least both always had good energy, plus a few actually impressive moments, but this was otherwise just a done-to-death 50/50 match. **3/4. Robbie X vs Ali was quite good, honestly on par with the main-event. They had a fun dynamic with Ali as the arrogant outsider heel an Robbie as the bland but undeniably impressive native babyface. Their early work was all fine, but they eventually picked up their pace to allow them to show off their impressive athleticism, which led to both also taking some very cool bumps. Their chemistry, effort and creativity increased as the match went on, with most of their more complex spots looking quite good. They probably needed longer selling periods, but most of their spots and sequences were undeniably impressive. ***1/4. Shingo vs Seven was yet another okay match. Seven simply did his best to match Shingo's generic 'strong-style' formula, making this a very generic series of strikes and power moves with no remotely interesting filler work in-between. Their technique was still decent-to-good, and both had good enough energy at points, but all those bombs were spammed far too quickly to feel genuinely compelling, and I also just struggled taking sloven, sloppy Seven seriously against dense powerhouse Shingo. **3/4. RKJ vs Ogogo was pretty poor. Ogogo still doesn't have any remotely compelling in-ring work or character work. His in-ring fundamentals were always really awkward, and his offence was pretty sloppy half the time and forgettable the other half. Having him use his (admittedly logical) KO punches, despite how they should be illegal, remains really stupid. RKJ somewhat saved the match with his impressively athletic and explosive attacks plus some good bumping and solid selling. Admittedly a few of their exchanges and spots were okay, but I couldnt shake how out-of-place Ogogo felt, and him going over the infinitely more talented RKJ was a bad call. **1/4. Sabre vs Mills went exactly as expected for a Sabre match, with Sabre leading with his grappling, Mills doing well to match him, both getting quite arrogant and cheeky while becoming more intense, and Sabre doing all his flashuer showcase stuff. Mills' work itself was good, but he was far too similar to Sabre to be truly interesting. Quite a few of their transitions and counters were still pretty cool, though some were overly convenient and cooperative. They then had some generic rapid 50/50 trades and no-selling at the end, as if we didnt already get the story of how evenly matched these guys were. This was still a fun match, but only at a low-level, given it didnt stray enough from what Ive already seen from Sabre many times before, and Mills didnt stand out much. ***1/4. Oku vs Ospreay was every Ospreay epic ever, repeating more or less all the exact same spots and sequences you can see in literally any Ospreay singles match from the last 5 years. The result was never in doubt either, so there was minimal interest going into this. I liked the initial story of Oku having grown and become more confident since their last match, bit his goofy selling soon heavily undercut that. Ospreays control work was very good, but as mentioned, the total lack of creativity held this (and him) back a lot. Oku did have energy and athleticism in his comebacks, but he sadly lacked the necessary explosiveness to make the most of them, and his selling remained too melodramatic. They did a slight bit of a leg-targeting story on Ospreay, but that soon became inconsequential. Their insistence on going for picture perfect visuals with their hokey acting also felt sickeningly artificial. Ospreay continued with all his big moves until the end, and Oku continued to not feel like he was remotely near his level to earn the win. ***1/4. Nice heart-warming promo from Ospreay in the post-match.

1801.03.2024DOUKI4CHAMP9.0This was a great show that never had a lull or even a bad match in my opinion. Rev Pro did a great job of showcasing themselves here and gained a lot of eyes with that freakin' main event. Such a positive show for this company and an optimistic hope for the future of UK wrestling.

2326.02.2024BruceMarcos5247.0This event is all-around great. Apart from the matches, the crowds are what makes the show. British crowds are always the best crowds not just in pro-wrestling but in all of sports. Their creativity on their chants is very admirable in my opinion. Anyway, the matches are great. Oku vs Ospreay is my second 5-star match that I've been rated for this year after Danielson vs Zack at this year's NJPW New Beginning in Osaka. They have amazing chemistry, and their showdown is one of the best I've ever seen, (*****). Here is my rating for the rest of this card: 7-men Scramble, mildly entertaining and OC made a surprise appearance is a nice touch, (**1/2), Luna vs Reed, meh match, (**1/4), Young Bloods vs Trew/Lacey, little alright tag match, (**1/2), Gale vs Jacobs, my review on the matchguide, (****1/4), Ali vs Robbie X, a decent match, (***1/4), Takagi vs Trent, my review on the matchguide, (***3/4), Ogogo vs Knight, below decent match, (**3/4), and Zack vs Mills, my review on the matchguide. This is one of the better shows of the year and glad the crowd are hot from start to finish. The Oku vs Ospreay match is obviously the MOTN and a potential candidate for MOTY. Only negative is the lack of VTR presentation especially for the main event, I hope they put some effort on providing VTR and not just simply film it directly to the screen. Another negative is the mic echoing and lack of audio filtering. Regardless, the match and the crowd greatly recovered from the lack of optics hence this rating is enough.

2526.02.2024Rossg179.0A great show with some great matches and a banger of a main event. Orange Cassidy vs Cameron Khai vs Flash Morgan Webster vs Richard Holliday vs Sha Samuels vs Shigehiro Irie vs Spike Trivet: A nice fun little scramble match to get started, OC putting the International Title on the line was good to see even if it was a surprise [**3/4]. Dani Luna vs Safire Reed: The action was slow at first but then the pace picked up, Dani Luna picking up the win was good to see [**3/4]. Oskar Leube & Yuto Nakashima vs Kieron Lacey & Mark Trew: The duo of Oskar Leube & Yuto Nakashima picked up a decent win here, even if Kieron Lacey & Mark Trew did control the action for the first part, solid action throughout [***]. Luke Jacobs vs JJ Gale: A match that featured hard-hitting action, JJ Gale looked good against someone who is proving to be one of the best wrestlers in RevPro in Luke Jacobs, Luke Jacobs picking up the win was good to see and it was enjoyable throughout [****1/2]. Mustafa Ali vs Robbie X: Decent cruiserweight style match with some decent high flying action and spots, Mustafa Ali winning was the right choice here [***]. Shingo Takagi vs Trent Seven: Despite originally supposed to be Shingo Takagi vs Gabe Kidd, Shingo Takagi vs Trent Seven was actually better than I thought it was going to be, it was decently physical between the two and Shingo Takagi showed that he could overcome Trent Seven and won [****1/4]. Anthony Ogogo vs Ricky Knight Jr: Okay match, pace felt off at times and the action was average [**1/2]. Zack Sabre Jr vs Connor Mills: Great technical showing here from these two especially Zack Sabre Jr, both connected with hard hitting action, the match was better than I had expected it to be [****1/2]. Michael Oku vs Will Ospreay: MOTY contender if I have ever seen one, they both for 47 minutes left it all in the ring and put on one the best matches I have ever seen that was from the UK wrestling scene, when Amira was in the ring and pushed Michael Oku out the way and took the hidden blade herself was shocking to see, what a match to send off Will Ospreay from RevPro, he deserved a brilliant final match and that is exactly what he got and more [******].

2825.02.2024theelevatedone8.0Fun show, had some great matches like the main event, Gale vs Jacobs and ZSJ is always a treat to watch. But there was some crap on this show, like the Anthony Ogogo match (please retire from wrestling mate, it's not for you) and Trent Seven somehow getting a bad match out of Shingo Takagi (the fact that Gabe Kidd was booked for this match and he wasn't cleared to wrestle makes it sting even more). The other matches ranged from good to ok, though having the surprise appreance of Orange Cassidy was another highlight. Despite my moaning and the absence of Ospreay for the forseeable future, the future is still bright for RevPro. But please get better audio production. You're the biggest UK indie I'm begging you.

3522.02.2024deeco977.0Some of the big matches didn't personally meet expectations, but that being said, this was an incredibly consistent card. Sure, some of the matches are underwhelming, but tons of British wrestlers go out there and highlight tons of different styles in front of a hot British crowd.

4820.02.2024eskweston This was probably the best wrestling show i have been to. Everyone went all out for this one knowing how many eyes would be on it due to Opreay leaving. Mills, Jacobs, Gale and Reed especially put on some fantastic performances. The main event is one that i feel grateful to have been able to witness. The 40+ minutes went by in a blink of the eye. So much emotion was put into this, it didnt overly play into the chucking the towel in narrative that it could have.

RevPro, I owe you an apology, if the main event is anything to go by I have tarred you unfairly with the wrong brush. spectacular match, and once against props to Ospreay for going out doing the honours.
5220.02.2024JJ10.0This match literally defined greatness. Definitely gonna be a MOTYC I loved this more than their 1st one and their 1st one was my 2nd favorite match of 2022(Behind Ospreay vs Okada). I can't wait to see what else these 2 do for the rest of this year.

5819.02.2024shippers778.0I think 95% of that crowd were there for the main event and that exclusively, 75% of the crowd didn't seem to have any idea who anyone outside of Will was (atleast in my vicinity anyway)- a very AEW crowd whom I doubt will attend RevPro again in a hurry, this is a real shame for me cause it did (main event aside obviously) hurt the card a bit - a real shame for literal world class wrestlers like Shingo Takagi and ZSJ, someone like Connor Mills who arguably had the match of his career here and JJ Gale for that matter.
5919.02.2024RoseySplash979.0While it wasn't perfect - the late start and absence of an intermission did cause things to drag a tickle - this was one of RevPro's best outings in a long time and exactly what this show needed to be. The main event delivered in spades, benefitting from their history and an incredible live atmosphere. Luke Jacobs, JJ Gale and Connor Mills all stepped up on this show and were in involved in notebook matches, while Young Blood v Trew & Lacey was a great sign for the future. Add in some surprises and sprinklings of star quality, as well as an absence of any silly overbooking or shenanigans, and you've got the total package. Andy Q's Dream Factory lives on.
6019.02.2024Riverman8.0Show did threaten to drag a little after the Ali/Robbie X match because the Trent/Shingo one went way too long. However, prior to that, it was a lot of fun and then the main event had an electric atmosphere with an insane match so cant complain too much.
6118.02.2024benny5bellys9.0Front runner for my show of the year. The opening match was really about the surprise of Orange Cassidy rather than the action. The tag team match was a whole lot of fun too. The main event was incredible, ZSJ/Mills and Gale/Jacobs were both ****+ and womens title match was close to that. The only negative was shockingly a match with Shingo in it because Trent shit the bed badly. Time to relegate him to the small shows.
