The crowd doesn't feel GCW or maybe im just imagining things. Honestly couldn't remember any of the matches outside of the lucha tag, which was pretty exciting, #AreztheGOAT. Generally I feel like it was worth my money but was quite the pain to sit through 10-15 min nothing matches. |
| 4 | 25.03.2024 | Sandmann | 6.0 | Wieder eine sehr solide Show der GCW Crew. Wie immer natürlich auch ein wenig zu lang, aber das ist ja ein wiederkehrendes Problem bei GCW. Nemeth gegen Cardona im Opener fand ich aber tatsächlich besser als gedacht. Das war ein grundsolides Match der beiden und das funktioniert erstaunlich gut. Hat mich überrascht. Bey gegen DeReiss war in Ordnung aber ich bin kein großer Fan der beiden. Morton gegen Jackson war ok aber ich glaube das schwächste Match der Card insgesamt. Da hat mir Hammerstone gegen Mason wirklich besser gefallen. Da war eine gute Face Heel Verteilung und die Crowd hat das auch so aufgenommen. Gutes Match der beiden. Mein MOTN war das Trios Match danach. Das war gute, schnelle Action mit dem üblichen Chaos das ich sehr mochte. Tolles Match. BUSSY gegen Rina und Masha war auch ganz nett. Das Ergebnis war so lala. Das zweite Trios Match war auch ganz nett aber nichts was lange in Erinnerung bleibt. Jackson gegen Yung war nicht meins. Ich kann mit den beiden Charakteren einfach nicht so viel anfangen und daher war das Match auch viel zu lang für mich. Der Main Event war auch ein wenig zu lange, hatte aber wrestlerisch zumindest ein wenig zu bieten. Daher ein ganz guter Abschluß der Show. |

People are going to rag on the promotion because of hardcore deathmatches, but for me that's never been an issue. The issue is the shows are so long, the matches so self-indulgent, the crowd so apathetic (or more specifically drunk and not caring what exactly is going on). I think GCW in 2021 could regularly run shows with crazy matchups and weird outsiders that made the whole thing better; now we're giving Blake Christian 24 minute main events and focusing on memes over quality. I don't think of myself as a "traditional" wrestling fan at all, but I want the zany action to hit and it just hasn't these days. Check out the Gringo Loco 6-person and Mason/Hammerstone, and I extend all my love to the wrestlers on this card really trying. |

Nic Nemeth x Cardona was obviously gonna work thanks to their time together at their previous employer, and the main event was one of Blake Christian's better matches in the past year or so. Sheiky baby killed it too. Rest of the card was okay. Each match had its moments. Was also good to see Su Yung again, even if I had to sit thru more Santana - which I'd say the novelty has certainly worn off. |

The Los Desperados trios match ended up being my favorite of the night. The latter half of the show kind of dragged at points but it wasnt a bad show and had a nice variety to the card. |

I liked they continued the feud with effy and mance. Sawyer also fucking killed it! I didn't think the main event could hold up with such a fun card yet it blew my socks off. overall fun show with something for everyone, even a 70ish mike Jackson hitting a Canadian destroyer (? ) lmfao |
