[7.0] "Was a good show and it would of been even greater if it wasn't for the damn Jericho match. Like come on and give the time to someone who's actually gonna put on a match worth a damn. Other then that the opener was near damn perfect, the main event was pretty well done and the ending was bloody awesome."
[10.0] "Oh yeah, I went to this! The best Dynamite episode ever, I'd say. 4 good-great matches that had me enthralled throughout. I understand the crowd was quiet, but a quarter full Saddledome rising for Mariah and falling one again for Mariah is an experience I'll not forget soon. Can't give up on AEW when I got to see this."
[7.0] "Solid show that has propelled AEW forward past the doldrums booking of Forbidden Door. The show being bookended by the Owen finals was a great touch, but Chris Jericho continues to steal precious TV minutes away from other talent. Happy to see PAC win the four-way but felt the match never gelled."
[7.0] "This was a strong show, with great matches and effective storyline progression. The Owen Hart finals, despite both deploying the same finish, both delivered bell to bell, setting up two high profile matches for All In. Despite a few segments suffering from poor delivery, the content of the promo work on the show did much to advance numerous stories, and set up for a mouthwatering few matches announced for next weeks anniversary show. The crowd was often frustratingly muted, but the performers still delivered some fantastic displays of in-ring prowess, and capped off the show with one of the most effective heel turns in recent memory. An fun and effective show by AEW."
[8.0] "Almost every match on the card here, save for the Jericho match, was very good, and even the Jericho match had a strong ending. The final segment with Mariah May winning the Owen and betraying Toni Storm was amazing and made for an awesome visual. [MOTN: Adam Page vs. Bryan Danielson]"
[9.0] "Another very strong episode of Dynamite this week. If I am being honest, however, I wasn't really feeling the opening promo by Ospreay and the interaction that followed with MJF when he appeared on the screen. It just lacked something and felt a bit directionless. Ospreay has proven he can do a fantastic promo, but for whatever reason this one just didn't really land. Things picked up after that though with the opening match between Hangman and Danielson. It was a fantastic match as expected, these two always have great chemistry. The Jericho and Joe silliness was weak, but then the show finished with two great matches and an absolutely incredible angle. Truthfully, if I have one criticism of AEW, it's that I find it can be quite predictable. It has been obvious since before the Owen Hart cup began who the winners would be. That said, regardless, it has been a fun ride and I did not expect the brutal end to the show with Mariah's heel turn. It created amazing imagery and ended the show on an incredible high. They are doing a much better job of building to All In this year."
[9.0] "I was not a fan of the last few months of AEW, but I am loving the build to All In/All Out so far. The last two Dynamites were amazing, Hangman's unhinged heel run is great, MJF is gaining back his momentum and Strickland is a solid champion."
[9.0] "Ich bin gespannt ob Folge 250 eine ähnliche so hohe Gesamtbewertung bekommen wird. Der Card da ist der nächste Dream. Alles ist im Guide jeweils dort mehr, 9 fantastische Punkte."
[6.0] "Good promo at the start of the show from Bruv & MJF. Opener was hard-hitting, and kept the viewers guessing on who would come out on top? Unfortunately it wasn't Hangman, but for storyline purposes it plays. Wasn't overly excited about the middle two matches, but enjoyed Mariah May winning the Owen. The ending was fabulous, kudos to Toni Storm."
[8.0] "For the most part I can only continue my praise for Dynamite from last week. Very good build up episode with some nice matches and a hell of an ending! But I could live without Jericho, Monè and the cringy, "inside baseball" filled Acclaimed Rap. Hope AEW can keep this momentum, lots of fun stuff for All In is already booked but they have enough in the holster for late summer/fall (MJF vs. Garcia, Swerve vs. Page, Blood & Guts etc). Some nitpicks that don't influence my rating: - Swerve interrupts Danielsons celebration and then cuts a promo with Bryan gone. Looked a bit weird. -The participants of the No. 1 Contender's match. Two were just in a tournament for a World title shot, Ishii (even tough i adore him) just gets a shot and Fletcher is just kinda in a Tag Team with Takeshita right now - The last shot would have had an even bigger impact if Danielson would not have bled in the opening match"
[10.0] "Good episode of TV with excellent matches and a blow away angle. And to the guy giving this a 0 out of 10 for trablilism reasons and make no mistake it is. Get a life and grow up."
[9.0] "Wow what an ending. This show overall was not too bad and I was gonna score it a 7 until that breathtaking ending. I dont think Ive ever seen a more dramatic, or frankly, horrifying blade job than the one Toni Storm did here. Truly unsettling."
"9.0 from me. Every match was good and was given plenty of time. The first match was amazing. The Mariah May turn caught me off guard - you knew it was coming but it was brutal anyway. BUT less Jericho. Like, I get the joke and and was almost into it at first. But there's too much talent on this roster to spend a 5th of every show on this circle joke. He's not getting any of the younger talent he works with over. At the very least we need a break."
[10.0] "Danielson finally winning a big match was great and I hope they give him the title. But the closing segment is the reason I give this show 10 rating, and I would have given 10 only for the segment alone, no matter if everything else have been grabage. After beating Saraya I was almost sure Mariah would win the Owen cup and it was the logical development of the best AEW storyline this year. I spoiled myself that Mariah would turn on Toni but, hell, that segment was brutal. I'm not a big fan of bleeding but here it added to the story. What else added? Toni Storm's awesome, briliant acting. From the hapiest person on earth, smiling and skipping with Mariah like a little girl to a women, who couldn't believe that her "child" stabbed her in the backl. Her crying from the backstabbing, not from the physical pain and her desperate shouts "Mariah! " felt absolutely heartbreaking and so real, even for a wrestling angle. Briliant, briliant acting by Toni. Mariah also played her part really good, she looked like a complete psychopath, her absolutele lack of any emotions while destroying the women, who took her under her wing and gave her all the oportunities. was chilling. This angle not only made Toni the biggest babyface in the company and also made it imposible not to feel sorry for her, but it also made Mariah May the biggest heel basically in the wrestling world. I absolutely adore Toni Storm, her title run and especially the "timeless" persona but Mariah should win at Wembley. She is the future face of the division. Also I can't wait to see how the feud will develop in the next week and how Toni will bounce back from that beating, her emotings. etc. Again, the show was good but gets 10/10 because of the ending segment."
[10.0] "I'm not the biggest fan of the opening promo, but I believe we'll get a better one, with MJF and Ospreay facing off and exchanging lines down the line. Danielson vs. Page could have been an all-timer if Jarrett's inclusion had been booked a bit better, but it still was a good pop. Danielson pulling off an unlikely victory against the outraged Hangman is fine and acceptable. I am among those who think it's still early to revisit Hangman and Swerve. I don't want it to get overly convoluted, but it can develop further, and I don't see the necessity for the belt either, although it would solidify both Swerve's reign if Danielson were to lose to him and Hangman's upcoming second title reign if he were to win it back. First, gotta see where The Elite angle would go. Aside from these points, the wrestling was excellent already. Jericho vs. Joe was the match to write Joe off TV, but in all honesty, the ending was batshit crazy, and I can buy it. The problem, as others would complain, is why it had to be Jericho again? Why not Keith or Bill, with Jericho supporting them with his 'teachings'? This became Jericho Appreciation Society so fast and grew so old in no time. The Global Glory 4-way was solid, aside from a few small botches and miscommunications. Fletcher holding out so long to a double submission, and kicking out right after, was a bit too much, but he's a great athlete who needs to be pushed to the upper midcard soon enough. MM vs. Nightingale was slightly above average, but the transition to the post-match angle was seamless and immediate. When I thought it was a bit early, I realized it was exactly what would make it so memorable. MM, in a way, tricked Toni into acknowledging her while also constantly boosting her confidence. Playing along suits her character arc better, and this transition to a recent babyface makes this moment much bigger, rather than Toni plotting against her out of jealousy or whatever. This was somehow more vicious than MJF, and I strongly believe it was earned way more. Perfectly executed and will cary MM on to the top."
[7.0] "oh man, show was great but the first match ruined it for me! it ruined almost the entire show for me! I fully explained it on its own page so I'm not gonna talk about it in here. man, HOLY SHIT! , what was that ending? Mariah turning on Toni wasn't unpredictable but it was absolutely masterful and will be remembered for a long time! the way Toni was shouting: Mariahhh... it was terrifying man! I thought she went off the script and was literally beating the hell out of her! even as a fan of blood and hardcore matches, I was like: Jesus! stop that girl, she's committing a murder on live TV! you see? this is how you build up a nice, well-performed and a logical storyline for the greatest show of the company, unlike the devastating opening match!"
[8.0] "[3.75/5.00]: AEW has finally found its rhythm after a clusterfuck of a PPV in Forbidden Door, now almost every big match they have been teasing so far have a short build around it, or at least feels impactful, something they've lacked in quite some time for over a year now, had only Danielson lost, Hangman vs Swerve feels like a bigger match to have, alas, beggars can't be choosers. But imagine my disappointment when they announced MJF vs Ospreay for next week, now I get it that it's there for a ratings boost but for fuck's sake Tony that won't save it. But there aren't many things on here that I would complain about AEW normally. So, that's a plus, I guess."
[8.0] "Ospreay opening promo, lacked a little energy at the start but he grew into it. Set up match with MJF for next week which Im guessing wont be a proper match. Hangman Danielson followed and it was a belter. Lots of chemistry and clever moves. Nothing ridiculous and some heat for hanger using his belt to whip and choke Bryan. Jeff Jarrett ended up revealing he was dressed to ref after Paul turner took a bump. Excellent TV match and delivered the right winner for me. BRYAN VS SWERVE AT ALL IN BABY! Swerve Promo, solid as usual now. Swerves promos have really started to over deliver from where he started. Swerve joined team AEW for blood and guts (whelp, stay fit for all in) and cut a promo on Danielson. His reign has been so good. Mariah May video package, decent. Acclaimed rap video remember when the acclaimed were over? Maybe they can get back there, but this aint it. Hopefully they can get back to it, but I dont want the bucks vs acclaimed at All In right now. Chris Jeriblows vs Samoa Joe: Joe starts well, some good offence followed by wiping out Bryan Keith. Jericho then takes over and botches IMMEDIATELY. Jeriblows missed his sliding drop kick to the outside (on a camera close up) by about ten feet. I was closer to connecting and Im in the UK. Jericho then got out a bag of horseshoes for some reason. Then they spent the entirety of Picture in Picture in the walls of Jericho, Im not joking. Joe hit Jericho with a horse shoe to break the hold. Joe did his walk away and Jericho hit the stairs outside, that was done well. Off into the crowd, and then Jericho threw coffee in joes face. Joe got the clutch and Big Bill made the save. Jericho hit him with belt and Bill hit a sloppy chokeslam onto a pallet on a fork lift before Jericho used the lift to drive Joe through a wall. I can only hope that this was necessary to write Joe off, because this sucked. Genuinely. Poor big bill. Four way madness: solid and largely entertaining match. If Im splitting hairs perhaps Ishii was a little out of place here. But the right person won and now what happens with Pac and All In will be very interesting. Hangman segment, on team elite for blood and gut it appears. Weird use of Okada at this stage. He should be appearing far more. Mone celebration: decent promo as a heel from Mone, as she should have been booked since day one. Britt interrupts and flattens the worst security guards in history. The couldnt keep a sleepy toddler contained. Darby segment battering Brandon cutler. Whats not to LOVE. Mariah Vs Willow: A really good quality match. Mariah and Willow are two of the best women on any show right now. Stokely and Stat interrupted to continue their feud with willow and MM picked up the win. The angle that followed was a work of art. Top quality. Mariah turns on Toni Storm, smashes her with the belt and throws Luther off of the stage through a table. Follows this by aggressively smashing Toni with a shoe before kissing her bleeding forehead. This was as good an ending as Ive seen on a show in years. Sharp, precise, brutal and had created an issue for the match at AllIn besides winning the title. A WORK OF ART. What a show! Would have got a 9, but Jeri-tax."
[10.0] "Easily one of the best Dynamites of 2024. Both the momentum of The Owen Heart Cup and beginning of Wembley season, not even to say that Blood and Guts still on the horizon and we will be getting seeds for All Out as well... its just incredible all the work AEW puts into it's summer season. Hopefully this is full steam ahead. because honestly AEW looks unstoppable right now on all cylinders of story telling and match making and Kenny Omega is still out and Moxely wasn't even here! The roster depth makes AEW just so flexible no matter what tourble they seem to be in, someone is always ready to step up."
[9.0] "This was a very strong episode of Dynamite, I've missed the weekly big matches, AEW recently is only doing matches where a star faces a jobber, and the winner is obvious, so it's always incredible to have really good and unpredictable matchups on television, like Hanger vs Dragon, that delivered a lot as expected. Ospreay and MJF segment was pretty mediocre in my opinion, it wasn't bad, but didn't captivated me a lot. I loved the structure here, with fewer matches but every single one of them looking important and having a story or a title shot going on, nothing felt filler, and that ending segment, the Mariah May heel turn, was probably the best female angle AEW has ever done, and one of the best segments of the whole company, that was incredible, I went to bad sad, feeling bad for Toni, everything was perfectly done, I can't wait for the next chapters, one of the best Dynamites of the year."
[10.0] "Time flew by ! But the storyline progress building up to All-In is just great, and the match quality is second to none. Danielson vs. Hangman ? ! The final segment of the show just made it a 10, that was epic storytelling, swerving, camera shot, crowd, just perfect. When AEW gets it right its not just a home run its a grand slam. Toni Storm and Mariah May are doing legendary work in and out of the ring, its cant miss TV with them at this point with such a great build to where we are."
[10.0] "Dynamite is on a roll right now! Great wrestling, great promos and surprises that keep catching us off guard, what more can one ask for in pro wrestling?"
[10.0] "Dynamite is on a roll right now. Show opened with a great confrontation between Ospreay and MJF. Then an INCREDIBLE TV match between Bryan Danielson and Hangman Adam Page. These two always make magic together but having Hangman as the heel was an excitingly different dynamic. A very unpredictable finish too and Jeff Jarrett played into it perfectly. Swerve laying out the challenge to Okada made perfect sense and made for a great setup for next week. Jericho was perfectly acceptable in his match with Joe. Mercedes and Britt continues to be a great feud. Willow and Mariah was a perfect main event in the Owen and AEWs womens division continues to show more promise than it ever has. The ending was the greatest thing AEW has ever done in the womens division and it feels like Mariah is made. Excellent show"
[9.0] "Danielson/Hangman was outstanding, but the best segment of the night and likely the year goes to the Mariah May turn to close out the episode. I thought that they might drag out the turn by whichever for a couple of weeks or even until All In, but doing it last night was wonderful and super brutal. Luther was just comedy in the middle of Toni getting killed, but man, Toni sold the heartbreak of the betrayal fantastically. I wasnt really into seeing these two feud until that segment. Well done."
[8.0] "Was going to go 7 until that absolutely killer angle at the end of the show which breathed life into the Storm/May match at Wembley. Good show, with the build towards Wembley progressing nicely and 2 very good matches in the 4 way and the Men's Owen Hart Final."
[10.0] "Flawless show. It was a great show with awesome moments. Danielson vs. Hangman was pure wrestling. The ending was so good that was more like cinema than a wrestling show. I hope AEW keeps on the good work."
[8.0] "Great episode with multiple PPV quality matches. Danielson vs. Hangman was as awesome as we all knew it would be. I was also pleasantly surprised at how good the four way match and the women's Owen Cup final were. Mariah and Willow had great chemistry and it was easy to buy into all those nearfalls due to the unpredictable outcome. I liked Jericho vs. Joe more than most. The ending, however, was a little rough, as the wall Joe crashed through did look really bad. On to the one thing I disliked: Blading is fine if it means something, but in this show it was a bit much. Especially because you could have saved it for the big angle at the end. Toni's crimson mask should have been more meaningful as, damn, did she take a beating from an unhinged maniac. That turn was amazing and probably one of AEW's best angles ever. It was bound to happen eventually, but I'm surprised Tony pulled the trigger already as All In is still almost two months away."
[10.0] "Another tremendous episode of Dynamite with another all-timer ending. The show kicked off with a fine Will Ospreay's promo. We've heard better promos from him but MJF's part was amazing. Really hyped for their match. BD vs. Hangman was, obsiouvly, the best match of the night and one of the best matches AEW has put on TV in 2024. Loved every bit of it. Afterwards Swerve came out and cut a solid promo saying he's entering Blood & Guts in two weeks. In a backstage segment, following this, Hangman said to the Elite that he'll do it, refering to Blood & Guts of course. It makes a whole lot of sense for Page to enter Blood & Guts now that Swerve's entering in it too. Jericho vs. Joe was bad but the ending with Jericho "killing" Joe was pretty cool. The Global Four Way match was a great bout, really fun. Happy for Pac's win. Mercedes Mone held hers double champion victory toast but got interrupted and outshined by Britt Baker yet again in a pretty good segment. Mercedes quotting Owen in Calgary was great. Let's see who's the brighter star between the two. Darby Allin made his return by attacking Brandon Cutler and has his eyes set on the Elite after what happened at AITA. Willow vs. Mariah was a good main event. I'm glad they were given that spot and they managed to deliver. Post-match with Mariah turning on Toni was perfect. One of the best endings to a Dynamites ever and one of the sickest attacks I've ever seen, legit scary. Mariah's arc in AEW has been built slowly and payed off in the end. One of the best things the company has done, period. Overall: the opening match was tremendous and the closing angle was top notch. The stuff in the middle was all quite fun with Darby's return and the four way. AEW is hotter than ever now with two back-to-back all-time shows and some of the best storytelling it has ever done. Can't wait for next week's show."
"Not a bad episode. Of course the turn of Mariah May against Toni Storm was the highlight and one of the few times the usage of blood was appropriate and justified. Obviously they put Swerve into Blood and Guts since they do not know what else to do with him, but that is okay and we can wait for a real champion to emerge at All In."
[9.0] "It's a shame the TV ratings haven't been better because AEW is really hitting a stride with great Dynamite episodes at the moment, balancing the right mixture of quality wrestling and engaging storylines that should appeal to the hardcore wrestling fan as well as the casuals. In the past, I felt like Tony Khan relied too heavily on throwing out random "dream matches" with little rhyme or reason to them, but now it feels like every match has a purpose and is either part of a story or advancing a story in some way. I'm also liking the unpredictable booking as I thought for sure Adam Page was winning the Owen Tournament to face Swerve, but Page losing here actually set up another compelling storyline of him joining the Blood & Guts match to get revenge on Swerve there."
[9.0] "Another excellent episode! Only downside was Jericho, which at this point is a given. Danielson/Page was FANTASTIC. I know some were upset that Page didnt win since he feels to be on fire at the moment, but my guess is Danielson said he is gone after Wrestledream, which will be in front of his friends and family. If that is the case giving him one last giant show, one last big main event, one last title reign is a MUST. He is an all time great, and this is his last chance, so Im ok with it. Plus he will probably drop the belt back to Swerve at Wrestledream who is also from the area. The post main event was one of the best closing segments not only of the year, not only from the women, but one of the best theyve ever done, period."
[9.0] "Everything was so good except Jericho which sums it up at this point- one of the best endings in dynamites history aswell superb a genuine twist i didn't see coming"
[10.0] "Well here we are again. AEW has been needing to hit on these shows and going back to the basics with go home angles that leave you craving more and more is a success. This is a 10/10 dynamite that you were awarded for watching live. Big twists with great wrestling matches leads to a show that was a blast to watch!"
[10.0] "The Danielson - Hangman match was unbelievable. As we all expected of course. Danielson winning was definitely not on my bingo card though! Fully expected Hangman vs Swerve at All In. Intrigued to see where they go with this and how Hangman somehow weasels his way back into a World Title match with Swerve via The Elite. I was slightly behind the Learning Tree angle but It's now absolutely run It's course. It's just taking up a spot on all shows that could be used differently. The four way was as chaotic as expected. All participants showed why they're in the spot, trying to get a shot at Ospreay. Pacs promo work after was great too. Mariah vs Willow being the main event and that turn at the end was spectacular. Just absolute perfection. Hoping we see Mariah get a bodyguard like Kamille or Megan Bayne so that Toni can't touch her until All In."
[7.0] "Despite not really caring for Hangman right now the opening match felt like it had the wrong result (especially considering they furthered a Swerve/Hangman build within this show anyway), Danielson blading twice was laughable as well but the match was still very good. MJF, yawn. Acclaimed/Bucks, yawn. Mercedes, yawn. I don't even know what the hell that Jericho/Joe angle disguised as a "match" was, but the less said about it the better. Contendership 4-way didn't feel like it had a real reason to happen but the match was good and I'm happy about a PAC win and title match. The main event wasn't about the match but the angle to close the show which was absolutely fantastic, I don't expect the Wembley match to be very good but the story between Toni and Mariah has been a company highlight."
[7.0] "The first half was really strong. Especially the Danielson and Adam Page match but I liked Joe vs Jericho also. It kinda went downhill from there. The fatal 4-way was fun but didn't make much sense and the angle at the end didn't have the impact it should've because of Toni Storm's horrible overacting that didn't fit the seriousness of it at all."
[6.0] "Okay episode of Dynamite this week, with a banger of a match, a solidly decent four way match, and an okay match, one match that was terrible, the segments were okay as well from the likes of Swerve Strickland, Mercedes Mone.... Bryan Danielson vs Adam Page: Easily the best match of the men's Owen Hart Foundation tournament this year, with also one of the best matches that these two have had together, Danielson took a couple of brutal looking bumps, the referee bump I feel was needed to make this more compelling, Jeff Jarrett being the ringside enforcer was special and good to see with his history with Owen Hart, what a match as the opening match on Dynamite, Danielson winning the match and the tournament was the right decision [*****]. Chris Jericho vs Samoa Joe: Did not like this match at all, for the most part the action was limited and also the interference from Big Bill and Bryan Keith, the ending was not booked right either [DUD]. PAC vs Claudio Castagnoli vs Kyle Fletcher vs Tomohiro Ishii: Fun four way match that had its moments, everyone involved had their moment to shine which was good to see, the stipulation with it being a No 1 contenders match for the International Title made it even more interesting, PAC winning was great to see [****]. Mariah May vs Willow Nightingale: While this match was decent enough, I dont think it should have been the main event, the interference was not needed, May winning was a surprise, but the aftermath when May attacked Toni Storm and Luther was shocking to see essentially turning her back on both which makes for intrigue as the road to All In continues [***1/4]"
[10.0] "Awesome TV show tonight. The ending segment was perfect. Danielson and Page & the 4 way were great in ring. Not a fan of the jericho tree stuff but it's there. The ME worked if you realize the All About Eve story they are telling. They will nail the landing at Wembley. Bravo!"
[8.0] "Good episode. It could use a bit more wrestling but the opening match was 25 minutes and was very entertaining. All of the segments did what they needed to do and nothing felt like filler."
[7.0] "A very good episode of AEW Dynamite, with the only in ring disappointment being the Samoa Joe vs. Chris Jericho match. For a street fight, I thought it was rather tame, which is not what you want out of an AEW street fight. It did get a lot of heat on Jericho though, because the audience knew he wasn't forklift certified."
[7.0] "An enjoyable show with one of the best AEW TV matches of the year in months (and best of the year in general) in Adam Page/Bryan Danielson having their fourth very good+ match together. The main event and four way matches were enjoyable although Ishiis including felt a bit random. Ospreays opening show promo at times bordered on pretty awful for me and fine at others. The post main event angle was also effectively executed."
[10.0] "Wow, what a Dynamite... from Start to Finish.. i was hooked on the Television... From Danielson vs Hangman to Calgary Street Fight to the 4 Man - International Match to the Awesome Main Event.. i loved every Minute of it... Very Cool Tribute to the Late Great Owen Hart.. with Attires. Visuals.. Finish of Mariah vs Willow and and Tragic Finish at the End... 10/10 from me... cant wait to see whats next"
[10.0] "a fantastic night of professional wrestling all around. the highlights of the night being the tournament matches, of course, with a lot of compelling promos and interesting storyline developments for AEW going forward. cannot wait for wembley!"
[10.0] "Even with Jericho spending what felt like an eternity using the walls on Joe, this show was as close to perfect as you can get for weekly wrestling television. Hangman/Bryan built up to the close perfectly, right through from the opening bell to the finish. Highly enjoyable 4 way match, glad we seem to be moving towards PAC vs Ospreay. The womens Owen final was great but the post match was next level amazing. Mariah laid everything in on Toni. Toni crying from the mix of shock and betrayal added something extra and the closing visual will live in the memory for a long time to come."
[9.0] "Probably one of the best weekly shows I've seen recently, almost perfect, Hangman vs Danielson is a MOTYC and the 4 Way match was also really good. The breaking point of the Toni/Mariah storyline was also well delivered and Hangman frustration leading to join The Elite in B&G was genius"
[10.0] "Look that closing visual is something that will stick with me forever. One of the best shots in company history. Toni didn't watch for the shoe! It's so good! The match between Mariah and Willow was really good too. Continuing the fued between Willow and Statlander. Ospreay cut an alright promo on MJF not one of his best but it accomplished his goal. Classic opening match, one of the best TV matches of the year. Dragon vs Swerve in Wimbly is gonna feel so damn big time. Hangman coming through the gave tunnel then later disrespecting Renne and joining the Elite for blood and guts. Oh and Swerve vs Okada next week? That's crazy. The Jericho match only being 12 and a half minutes surprised me because it felt like 30. The all star 4 way was very fun and hopefully leads to PAC vs Ospreay at all in. Mercedes is such a better heel and it's setting up a big match. Really fun show with an amazing finish. Better than last week IMO.(The closing beat down specifically.)"
[7.0] "There was some all-timer stuff on this show (mainly the Hangman/Danielson match and the entire ending angle with Mariah and Toni) but I feel like everything outside of it was decent at best. That Jericho match was horrendous, it was boring on top of being super shit"
[10.0] "Opened by a classic TV match (Danielson vs. Hangman IV ****1/2+) and bookended by one of the best closing angles of the promotions history (Mariah Mays betrayal of Toni Storm), this is one of the most important episodes of Dynamite. Even the Jericho segment (which usually makes me turn the channel momentarily) was so cartoonish and ridiculous that it was palatable. The Four Way between Ishii, Fletcher, Claudio, & PAC even exceeded expectations. The Mariah/Toni angle was the highlight, but the match between Mariah & Willow was very good as well (****). Take the Max Caster segment out and this might be the best Dynamite Ive seen."
[8.0] "Good show. Opener and main event was awesome. Unfortunately TK insists on putting jericho on TV and you get the crap you got tonight. Closing angle was really great."
[7.0] "This was enjoyable. Felt like they didn't waste time with useless matches and irrelevant segments... Opening segment was meh imo. Crowd was dead for most of the time which is very surprising considering they didn't pop for MJF, Ospreay. Swerve or Hangman. Ospreay states the usual babyface points and dismisses MJF. MJF talks through titantron doing his heel work which was better than Ospreay's promo. But again why are we getting MJF vs Ospreay so soon? I know that next week won't be a clean match. Maybe a Garcia interference or some other shenanigans. But still they should have stretched this out till Wembley and maybe Garcia should have made his appearance later. It was undermined by the Fatal 4 way later which Pac won and he will fight the International Champion. It all leads to hot feud between MJF and Ospreay getting over before Wembley... Swerve gave a good promo. The Acclaimed's music video was funny and not cringe inducing rap... Hated Mercedes Mone segment. Why is she getting two championship celebrations one week after another when Toni didn't even get one segment for herself? This is undermining your own main world champion which is just insulting. Also someone stop giving Mercedes mic. She is awful at promo work and it would be better if Britt does most of the talking. Crowd loved Britt.. And then Mariah's heel turn felt so excess. There are hardly any strong babyface women on roster and they take away one of the most popular one. And this happening at Owen cup final was a bit insulting to the legend. They could have had sone arguments or disagreements later in a couple of weeks or something with a little build up and this would have been fine. It just felt superfluous to me."
[10.0] "Pure Wrestling show. I loved this show. MJF - Ospreay could be the feud of the year if handled correctly, they will have a match next week. It's great to see PAC getting a chance. Can't wait for next week."
[9.0] "Another very strong Dynamite, it truly feels like the Road to All In is delivering all the big angles and payoffs they've been building to for the past months. Every time a Dynamite opens with a 20-30 minute banger, it is a good Dynamite, and apart from the Jericho segment (surprise surprise) it had a really good flow to it. Danielson winning is very intruiging, not only for their All In main event but also for Hangman's story. Having him win here would have been a tad too easy for my liking, I prefer giving him little setbacks and roadblocks."
[10.0] "Just like last week this episode flew the stories are definitely picking up pase and kept me hooked for the entirety of the two hours. Even the jericho match and post-match segment where executed amazingly. The main event was a good match, and that post-match beat down from mariah may was awesome. The visual of toni storm busted open and spitting up blood left me feeling like a was watching an episode of game of thrones.Great show all round"
[10.0] "Another great classic episode of Dynamite. Great opening segment with Ospreay and MJF, I'm looking forward to their match next week. The opening between Bryan vs. Hangman was perfect, the chemistry that both men have is perfect and in 25 minutes they gave a spectacular battle. The fight between Jericho vs Joe was strange, but I enjoyed it a lot, I like this type of stipulation and I feel that it was executed 60-70% correctly. The Swerve segment was quite correct and serves to warm up the B&G very well. I found the four-way fight incredible, quite fast, dynamic, with the right chemistry between everyone involved and the winner was the right one to cement his way to All In. The main event was correct and with a spectacular ending with Mariah's turn to Toni, a great closing. 10/10."
[10.0] "Even docking points for that lame Acclaimed rap and the weaker parts of Jericho's performance, this still hits a 10 in my book. Solid opening promo even with Ospreay's limited range and MJF's tongue-in-cheek flourishes, Danielson/Hangman IV was every bit as good as their first two matches, memorable spots from Joe/Jericho even with a dull mid-match, multiple good promos in the ring (Swerve, Mercedes, PAC), a solid spotfest 4-way, a great tournament final, and a fucking all-timer heel turn to close it out. Mariah May went from a promising prospect to the new top heel of the division above even Mercedes in like 5 minutes while Toni managed to out-blade Bryan fucking Danielson on the same night. Tremendous TV."
[10.0] "This was awesome. I was shocked when danielson/hangman came on first instead of being saved for last, but after seeing how the show ended this made perfect sense. when samoa joe & jericho came on 2nd it felt like a significant downgrade from the amazing opening match, but by the end of it i was into it when jericho drove joe through a wall. PACs promo after his win was awesome, hes definitely not who i was expecting to win there but i love the decision, big pac guy here. ending of dynamite was most likely the highest with mariah may turning on toni storm in incredible fashion, after a good match. she looks like a star, shes gotta be taking that title at All In"
[10.0] "This is what wrestling is about. An spectacular show, even the Jericho's match was good (but it had a memorable ending). The rest was a one of the best dynamite of the year. The promos were very solid, with the MJF vs Ospreay "little" feud being stipulated for next week. Danielson vs Hangman was a solid match with a great intervention from Jeff Jarret. The four way match was solid, Pac victory was the right call, but the four were great. And Mariah vs Willow was an amazing fight, with a very unexpected turn heel. Love the homage to Owen Hart in the attires, a nice touch. I loved this episode from start to finish."
[6.0] "This was definitely an improvement since last week, but still some awful decisions. First, the Chris Jericho and Joe street fight was just awful. As stated previously, Jericho isnt a good heel. He doesnt have good heel heat. He has go away heat. Someone needs to get Joe and Hook out of the Jericho vortex as soon as possible. Swerve vs Okada and Ospreay vs MJF next week should be good, but they really should have been saved for PLEs instead of some random episode of Dynamite. The best parts of the show were undoubtedly the Owen matches, cant wait for Mariah and Toni and Bryan and Swerve, but if these didnt happen on the show it would have been unwatchable."
[9.0] "An extremely well-formatted episode with three truly standout TV matches (with the headliner being a superb Danielson/Page opener). You could argue that for the first time in a very long time, the outcomes for all four matches were somewhat unknown. This really raised the stakes and made the episode feel important. The post-match angle after the Main Event was brilliantly worked by May and Storm -- a rare case of a turn being expected but the timing/circumstances of the turn rendering it shocking/exciting. I should also give a lot of credit to Danielson and Page for a match that felt/looked like a true battle. Even the gimmicky stuff (e.g., ref bump + Jarrett as substitute official) felt natural inside the context of the match and the angle. My only minor complaints involve the Calgary crowd which was a little uneven (though they came alive for the big moments), and the Swerve promo segment which meandered a bit."
[9.0] "One of the best Dynamites of the year. Doesn't get a full 10 because of three things, the Joe/Jericho match, which I disliked a lot, the fact I wasn't huge on the stilted Ospreay/MJF segment (but at least it sets up a hugely exciting match for next week) and the awful Acclaimed music video which reinforces my belief that the gimmick has run its course. Still, the highs are absolutely tremendous. Hangman/Danielson IV was a five star match with a brilliant, surprising winner, the fatal four way was excellent fun, the Mercedes heel segment was great fun, and Mariah vs Willow killed it in the main event. However, the post match angle to Mariah and Willow's match is one of the best heel turns in recent wrestling history, and one of my favourite endings to Dynamite ever. The sheer brutality of Mariah's turn, with the bloody high heel stabbings and Toni's heartbroken reactions will live long in my memory. Toni vs Mariah is going to tear the house down at Wembley. AEW is bringing the excitement hard in the build to All In!"
[9.0] "Practically perfect episode. It was essential to build the All In card and provide a segment for all the main stories. Mariah May's betrayal was done in the best possible way, it gave a feeling of "This is Pro Wrestling" in its true essence. Looking forward to the next chapters and the conclusions of the stories. The matches were also of good quality, the two finals were very well constructed, and Joe vs Jericho was great for entertainment. I also highlight Mercedes and Britt Baker, who did a great segment."
[9.0] "This episode of Dynamite was easily one of the best in a long time, and as near perfect a weekly wrestling show has been in quite some time. Even the Jericho/Joe match and the Baker/Mone segment were fine and helped build the rivalries, even if they didn't exactly hit the mark they were aiming for. Danielson vs Hangman was phenomenal with a somewhat surprising, yet welcome, result. Danielson/Swerve will be a true banger. That closing segment with Mariah May and Toni Storm was quite possibly one of the best segments AEW has ever run -- Toni Storm sold the betrayal like death and Mariah came out of it looking like even more of a star. Just about everything else hit well. All In is really heating up this year, and this was a perfect stop on the road to the PPV."
[9.0] "Was a pretty good show until the very end and then it was a great show, Mariah May's turn was excellent and made a story thats gone on for a long time feel white hot. Really loved that. I enjoyed Jericho and Joe's shenanigans and think everyone's being silly about the Jericho Learning Tree, which I think is working. I really enjoyed the Hangman/Bryan match. The four way was good, and Mariah and Willow had a great match (except for the Statlander/Stokely interference). Could have done with a good tag team match and it would have been a 10 episode, and I didn't think Swerve's promo was very good. But fun stuff"
[8.0] "The show closing angle with Mariah May turning on Toni Storm and beating her to a bloody pulp with Toni's high heel was a work of art. It was one of the best swerves in AEW history. Hangman vs. Danielson was a great opening match and Jeff Jarrett played his role really well. The fatal four way between Claudio, Fletcher, PAC, and Ishii was also a super fun TV match. Those three things made the show worth watching. However, I can't give the show a perfect score this week for two reasons. Reason number one; the crowd was really poor tonight for 90% of the show. All of the promo segments tonight died because the crowd didn't react to any of them. Reason number two; Jericho vs. Samoa Joe felt like a massive waste of time to me and I'm so beyond tired of Jericho on my TV. So yeah, take out those two complaints and you get a perfect 10/10."
[8.0] "4 matches where everything mattered and each match had quality and time to them. We see a new side of Jericho which looks great. His match with Joe was very good, he works better in a style more like this, no DQ type. Ending was brutal with Jericho driving Joe through a wall. Beginning of the show progressed the Ospreay and MJF story and leads to their match at Dyanmite 250 for the International belt. Danielson Vs Page was incredible, it had callbacks to their 60:00 minute match with great psychology. I was skeptical of Jarrett as the enforcer but in the end it made sense with him taking the ref role. PAC winning the Global 4-way and getting a shot at either MJF or Ospreay is a great story. After the match he gave a promo promising he'd be at ALL In which is a big deal as hes always been riddled with injuries. Mariah May and Willow Was a fine match but the meat was after the fact when Mariah turns on Toni and Luther after they present her with the Owen Hart belt. She uses Toni's high heels and gashes Toni open leaving her all bloody with a really stunning visual to end the show. It was incredibly jaw dropping and unexpected. At least I was not expecting the turn this early, I wouldve thought after ALL IN. AEW continues their streak of 2 great tv shows in a row."
[8.0] "A fun episode. It opened with a decent enough promo by Ospreay followed by the biggest match of the show, and I quickly lost interest after that and having to deal with 12:32 minutes of Chris Jericho after it. Having Hangman lose in the finals is an interesting choice, since now he accepted being The Elite's 5th man in Blood and Guts, which could eventually lead to the main event of All In being a three way match. Anyway, let's see how things develop from here and how the card at Wembley will end up looking like."
[9.0] "One of the best Dynamites in recent memory, every match was good to excellent, and at every step of the way we got great story moments, great promos, and incredible images. In one show we have Danielson's ticket being punched to Wembley, a psychotic Jericho turn, an excellent four way match that ends with PAC making it clear what he's going for, and that great Willow and Mariah May match, and the ended with one of the most shocking images you'll see all week! Incredible stuff, not a second really wasted (The Acclaimed seg was annoying but I'll allow it), an incredible 2 hours of TV, the build to All In is so exciting."
