"Really, really good show. I was fortunate enough to be in person here, and they really made me a TNA fan with this one. A couple of matches might've been ok, but for the most part, this was a solid show. The main event definitely made a 1, 000+ seater sound like a 10, 000 seater from where I was sitting at."
[7.0] "This was a really strong show. I would gladly give this an 8 or a 9 if it wasn't for 2 matches. The PCO match and the women's tag title match. Other than that this was very good show. Match of the night was definitely the main event and the 2nd best was the TNA World title match."
[7.0] "Like the usual timeline of small-scale PPVs, TNA did a good job of delivering a solid edition of No Surrender all around. ABC/GYV had a beastly encounter to cap off their series, while Gotch and Mustafa looked amazing in their debuts. Ignoring the pointless and overused PCO against a vacuum giant like Kon, the rest of the match card was rigid enough to be entertaining. Even though there was zero anticipation of game-changing results, it served for the better of the next steps towards the big-time PPV in April."
[7.0] "All around a pretty solid show. Most of the matches were mostly decent-to-good; the World and X-Division Title matches and Alexander vs. Gotch were probably the best of the lot, while the Women's and Tag Title matches were also good, and the Kaz vs. EY opener, while not as good as it probably could have been in a later slot on the card with more runtime, still did what it needed in its position as a solid little bout between two veterans. The Women's Tag was weaker, though by no means offensive, and PCO vs. Kon was too short to amount to much and felt more like something that would have been on weekly TV to set up a PPV stipulation match (and I assume that it will lead to something like a Monster's Ball at Sacrifice). Good TNA debuts for both Mustafa Ali and Simon Gotch as well. Like most Impact+ specials, this definitely was a B-show/filler in the TNA lineup, but also like most of these specials, it was a few perfectly cromulent hours of wrestling."
[7.0] "Better than I expected for their first show without D'Amore. Hopefully it will work itself out. Towel match was predictable and not what it could have been. Knockouts match was solid even if it didn't stand out. I'm disappointed in Ali particularly his fan support. The rest of the show was solid if not exceptional."
[7.0] "I thought we were getting Nemeth vs. Maclin on this show and feel dumb for realizing that it was never actually advertised. That's because Nemeth worked the New Japan Pro-Wrestling event last night and couldn't do both, so I assume we get that match at Sacrifice instead. Nonetheless, this was an easy thumbs-up event from TNA that ended on a high note. There are still a lot of questions regarding what the future of TNA will look like without Scott D'Amore (and if it affects the roster at all), but you wouldn't know anything changed from watching this show. Some of the stuff in the middle was decent at best, but there were enough above-average matches to make No Surrender worthwhile and one of the stronger Impact Plus specials in recent memory."
[7.0] "Eric Young vs Frankie Kazarian: Okay match but they only gave half of what they are capable of due to the limited time they had, had they would have had more time it could have been better [**]. ABC vs Grizzled Young Vets: Best match of the 3 match series they had, both teams showcased great tag team wrestling, ABC winning was the right call definitely [****]. PCO vs Kon: Not a good match especially with the DQ finish [DUD]. MK Ultra vs Decay: Not as good as their match at Hard To Kill, the constant title changes are not a good booking decision, it just felt a bit lacklustre to be honest [*1/4]. Josh Alexander vs Simon Gotch: A technical duel between these two, Simon Gotch brought a more vicious attitude and work ethic and Josh Alexander brought his usual tenacity to the ring for this match [***3/4]. Moose vs Alex Shelley: A unique first of its kind match that did deliver fairly well, Alex Shelley and Moose did their best to get their opponents cornermen to throw in the towel, some brutal looking spots [***3/4]. Jordynne Grace vs Gisele Shaw: An okay match featured some decent moments, no surprise Jordynne Grace won [**1/2]. Mustafa Ali vs Chris Sabin: A great main event with some great x-division action on display, Mustafa Ali winning was good to see, a great main event for TNA No Surrender [****1/4]"
[9.0] "Acceptable match from Young and Kazarian, fun to watch and should have been better worked on in the storytelling section; excellent match from ABC and GYV, a true title match for couples; That match and brawl between Kon and PCO was crazy, fun to watch, good fanservice, PCO never disappoints; good starting match on the part of MK Ultra and Decay, a new reign with the villains of MK Ultra seems like an excellent decision by TNA; good match on the part of Alexander and Gotch, I hope that TNA does not waste Gotch, he had an excellent performance in this match; nice starting match between Moose and Shelley, but that ending was very strange and absurd, it could have been much better, the No Surrender Match theme was fun and attractive; Jordynne and Shaw's match was very bad, I expected something spectacular and they gave me something boring, knowing that they could give something much better; recommendable match from Mustafa Ali and Chris Sabin, with some slow fire but lethality and excellent moves; a good PPV show, just one bad match, good stories and decisions, the talents in this PPV are dedicated more than ever and TNA is on the right track."
[10.0] "I tried but had nothing to knock about this show to not give it a 10. Every match was good to great and they even had some backstage promos to further things on tv coming up. Great matches. Titles changes. Big debuts. No insulting finishes all night."
[7.0] "While nothing spectacular or particularly newsworthy happened, the talent in the ring across the entire card worked hard and at the end of the end of the day, there wasn't a bad match on the entire show. I liked the pacing of the show and I never felt like the show was dragging."
[7.0] "I liked the show, the concept of the No Surrender match was interesting. A variant of the I Quit match. ABC/Young Vets was cool, and I was glad to see Young as the challenger for Sacrifice. I had my reservations about Simon Gotch, but he didn't disappoint. Ali's debut was excellent, Sabin had done the trick with his X-Division reign. Given Saturday's tapings, there's a good program for IMPACT! to come."
[8.0] "Surprisingly, much better than I imagined. The TV shows since TNA's return have also not been a week to week spectacle and I wasn't coming into this PPV with much hype except for the ABC and GYV bout and Ali's debut. However, the in ring level has been of a very high level, highlighting especially these two bouts, but also a good night for Gisselle Shaw or Chris Sabin, who looked great. I'm still not convinced by the concept of The System, but with Moose as champion, although I maintain that his new reign comes at the wrong time. Regarding Mustafa Ali's win, I'm very happy for him. He's a wrestler who deserves to shine and brings caliber to the title and his career, but I'm TIRED of TNA/Impact giving belts in their first few fights to practically every ex-WWE wrestler who debuts. Meanwhile others (Mike Bailey, Jonathan Gresham, Joe Hendry, Alan Angels, Jake Something, Laredo Kid) are still lost in unimportant things...."
[7.0] "Your standard TNA+ special in that everything was good to very good while not being top tier wrestling or overly memorable. They kept the Kon/PCO match short which was sensible despite the rubbish finish suggesting the feud will continue. It had faults but the world title match was best on the show."
[8.0] "Very good show. Ali's victory over Chris Sabin for the X-Division Title marks him as a major play and it looks like he will be around for a while. Moose/Shelley we also very good, and Josh/Gotch and the ABC/Vets match delivered."
[7.0] "An enjoyable show that I ended up enjoying much more overall than Hard To Kill. With the exception of the PCO/Kon match it was pretty consistent with Ali/Sabin being my MOTN. There were some matches I did expect a bit more from on paper but some good matches and nice moments helped raise the show overall."
