[7.0] "DPW was the best American indie of '22 & '23 but I highly disagree with the booking of the final three matches. This federation prided itself on finding-nurturing-rewarding fresh or non-overexposed talent. Giving the tag belts to the Guns is a step-backwards. Both Shelley and Sabin have had notable '23's as singles competitors, but as a team on the indie level, they're not people I want to see holding the straps in DPW. Same goes for Tankman...BoJack's '22 was fresh; trying to repeat its success with Tankman, who I'm not convinced by, is also a step backwards, or at-least horizontal. Emi Sakura was a great choice to lead the women's division in '23. She's a highly respected longtime entertaining veteran who runs her own company and has trained some elite talent. But she's Japanese. Pro-wrestling is (partially) about creating drama & stars. Takase is a fun, feisty talent but she's much more unknown to the American public and doesn't do anything to create greater attention to the product. I guess I should be satisfied that they didn't go to the disappointing, sludgy N Matthews, but I would have much preferred to see Sakura make a star who isn't an expensive fly-in and has some buzz. Yet it's not as if I didn't enjoy the show, I did, and thought the A Everett/BK Westbrook story, bout, payoff was tremendous."
[4.0] "A show that had tons of surprises, but for me the quality of the matches felt unusually poor by DPW's standards, felt especially during the second half of the show with all the title matches. The 2 World's title matches were quite boring and filled with some of my most hated spots and match styles. Everything else was pretty solid, but for me the No Hold's Barred match carried the whole show. BK Westbrook was super impressive here, a breakout performance I'd say. Andrew Everett was his usual good self, but I feared for his safety with some of these bumps."
[8.0] "great show, some interesting story beat at the first half of the show, felt like the second half didnt necessarily excel over the first half but still some solid matches all around even if none really stand out here. MOTN gotta be BK vs Andrew, just great storytelling you love to see it."
[8.0] "If you've never seen DPW before (but most likely heard about it here and there for a while), I'd recommend giving this show a chance as this show felt like a fresh starting point for the future - three title changes, big blow-off of a long feud, set up of another interesting title match (Jake Something vs. Bryan Keith for National title), Bojack's triumphant return and even the most boring wrestlers like WCWC, Nicole Matthews and Yuu had good matches and individual performances. It's easy to be negative about US indies wrestling, but if you want to be positive about them, this show can change your perspective/opinion."
