[8.0] "Very good show. Every match here was good in it's way and we got some great storytelling here. It's what I like to see and 100% the best Collision of the year so far."

[8.0] "After two weeks of total filler, this was the first great Collision of 2024: Moxley vs. Taylor was a solid opener and Moxley called out anyone in a post-match promo. Copeland vs. Martin was the best of the Cope-open so far, Dante really shined here and the action was really fun. Rosa vs. Aminata was a good women's match, Rosa looked good altough she has some ring rust and Aminata continues to impress. Bullet Club Gold joining forces with the Acclaimed is an awful choice, especially considering Jay White's waste. I hope it'a short-lived thing just to set-up a title unifiaction match. Garcia vs. Matthews was really good and the post-match chaos was super fun. This feud has been awesome so far and I can't wait for next week's steel cage. Strong vs. Sydal was a bit too long but overall enjoyable. Blackpool Combat Club vs. Kingston/Ortiz was the best match of the night. Really good action with tremendous heel work from Danielson and Castagnoli. I'm digging for Danielson/Kingston 4. Overall: some stories being advanced and lots of good wrestling all throughout the show in front of a red-hot crowd made this one of best Aew shows so far in 2024 and one of the best episodes of Collision ever. The announcement of the return of the ratings was also great."

[8.0] "Collision feels like it's now found its footing post C2 with this episode. All of these matches, while predictable, worked very well, and we're building up good stories. HOB-FTR with the addition of Daniel Garcia is one of the highlights of the programming, with Buddy-Garcia being an incredible singles match. I know it's a tried and tested formula but I'm still not bored of the BCC-Kingston rivalry, and it was escalated brilliantly, focusing more on Danielson-Kingston. Meanwhile Moxley is having a fun little program with STP, having a fun brawl with Shane Taylor. The Cope open remains fun, and we got a good showcase match for Roddy and a decent one for Aminata and Rosa, plus we got the formation of the Bang Bang Scissor Gang. A great 8/10 episode, and puts Collision on the right track for Revolution"

[6.0] "Jon Moxley vs Shane Taylor: This match did not need to go as long as it did considering how little actually happened in it. I was expecting more power moves from Shane Taylor to give Moxley more to persevere through. A weird middle ground where you didn't get a compelling full length match and you didn't get an entertaining efficient squash match. Adam Copeland vs Dante Martin: This was a step in the right direction for the Cope Open, for Adam Copeland, and for Dante Martin. I saw Dante work a slower than his usual pace match against Bandido at a Warrior Wrestling show, and he went too far in that direction, where ultimately not enough happened or urgently enough. This found that middle ground that I think Dante was probably looking for, where you have time to absorb and take in all the moves and moments, including the counters. The finish was an "anti-air" Spear countering Dante's crossbody that had better timing and impact than most anti-airs. Thunder Rosa vs Queen Aminata: Aminata is so impressive. She needs to be TBS Champion sooner rather than later. Daniel Garcia vs Buddy Murphy: Buddy Murphy sneaks up on us with these special matches from time to time, like vs Ali on 205 Live, vs Roman Reigns on SmackDown, vs Andrade on Collision, and then now Daniel Garcia. This was great timing for Garcia, who is building a compelling charismatic scrappy underdog character in this most recent push. Roderick Strong vs Matt Sydal: This was a good match, but it's not an essential addition if you're already familiar with their previous stuff in ROH and TNA. You could probably live happily leaving the memories alone, but I'm sure it was very fun live, and it was still good, just not necessary. BCC vs Kingston and Ortiz: Everyone in this match did well, but unfortunately this feels stale after Kingston has been feuding with the BCC for so long. I feel like they needed a breather from each other after the C2 and Worlds End and the Yuta match on Rampage. I'd like to see Eddie in some fresh combos."

[8.0] "Really good show. I really enjoy the new (old) approach of just setting up and then performing good wrestling matches. In-ring storytelling on all the matches was really on point. I always look forward to ROH, so it's nice to feel that way about Dynamite and Collision as well....again."

[9.0] "It was an amazing show. Matches were on point, promo segments were also great. Love the bang bang scissor gang. Main event told a good story, and I hope Eddie gets his lick back."

[8.0] "For a six-match card with no squashes, none of the matches felt rushed. Possibly as a result, it seemed like the in-ring logic for the matches (and their finishes) was credible throughout the episode. The crowd in St Louis was also very engaged with every match, which is a credit to the performer's ability to sell their performances. For me, Garcia/Matthews stole the show and was the Match of the Night. The angles/stores that were pushed also make sense (especially doing a blow-off match for the HoB/FTR feud next week in a cage). The squabbling inside the BCC is a charming new wrinkle for that faction's story, and Danielson's continued belittling of Kingston is being performed well by both guys. I won't go higher than an "8" for this episode on grounds that it lacks a truly memorable moment, but it continues the trend of solid TV that Collision's been enjoying since the start of the C2."

[7.0] "Just a very solid episode of weekly tv. Nothing thatll be remembered in a few months, but nothing youll easily be able to skip as a current fan. The vibes of early 2020 AEW are definitely coming back. The difference being the much deeper roster, but AEW has still managed to keep its top stories clear and consistent despite how many people they employ. We are more than a month from a PPV & can clearly tell what the world, womens, TNT, TBS, international, trios title matches are heading. The tag division is still in need of a reset as soon as possible. The show last night really cemented those feelings, with some really solid in ring stuff & nothing that would leave you walking away confused or disappointed. The rankings coming back could also be a huge net positive for AEW if executed correctly."

"Adam Copeland spears Dante outta nowhere. It looked like it killed Dante. Adam Copeland got that W the match was a B+ 8.8. Thunder Rosa made a triumphant return from injury, proving she's not just a pro wrestler but a true "resurrecting" force in the ring! Queen Aminata should team up with Red Velvet their team name could be The Velvet Monarchy!"

[8.0] "Up until the last two matches, the main story of this episode of Collision was the upcoming youth movement, even though Lee Moriarty didn't wrestle in the opener, much of the story focused on his relationship with Shane Taylor, then we had great performances from Dante Martin, Queen Aminata and Daniel Garcia. The Bang Bang Scissor Gang united (with The Gunns reuniting with Daddy Ass), and we got a very good tag team main event. Next week, there's a massive elimination cage match which everyone knows why they're doing that."

[8.0] "Jon Moxley vs Shane Taylor: Both men gave a hard hitting match as expected, Jon Moxley winning by making Shane Taylor pass out was a good decision, did not think the match was going to be as good as it was, but it exceeded my expectations [***]. Adam Copeland vs Dante Martin: A great match between a veteran like Adam Copeland and the up and comer in Dante Martin, the two went to the limit which took Copeland to 3-0 in the Cope Open [***3/4]. Thunder Rosa vs Queen Aminata: Decent women's division match in which Queen Aminata was booked as a strong opponent for Thunder Rosa even in defeat [***1/4]. Daniel Garcia vs Buddy Matthews: Really enjoyable and physical match, the only issue was the constant tension between House Of Black and FTR at ringside, the brawl post match was shocking to see [***3/4]. Roderick Strong vs Matt Sydal: It was an okay match but given their history with one another it should have been given more time, the action was solid [**3/4]. Bryan Danielson & Claudio Castagnoli vs Eddie Kingston & Ortiz: Brilliant match with some hard hitting action and BCC picking up the win was good to see, definitely worth watching [****]"

[9.0] "AEW keeps rolling in January. All the matches were good to great and there was variety in each match. Mox/Shane was hard hitting slugfest, Cope/Dante was a good contrast of young and experienced, Buddy/DG hooped, Sydal/Roddy was a great exhibition, Rosa/Aminata was another solid women's match, and the main event had so much to love. The crowd was hot for it all, and into everything. And they announced that the rankings are back, while also announcing a banger card for next week...AEW has never been more back!"

[8.0] "AEW has been on a roll lately with great weekly television. The wrestling on this show was super strong. Copeland vs. Dante was a very fun match and we got to see Dante hang with a legend. Queen Aminata continues to impress me every time I see her wrestle. If she did get signed like it's being reported, it's well deserved. Garcia vs. Matthews was a great, high intensity match and both had a lot to prove. Garcia is one of my favorite guys to watch right now. Main event tag was very solid and I'm glad Ortiz is being used again. I wonder what happened to Santana though. Where is he? Great show tonight!"

[9.0] "Holy shit collision is he best weekly wrestling show going right now and it's not particularly close. Fun brawl between shane taylor and Jon Moxely, Crazy good singles match between Buddy Mathews and Daniel garcia, setting up a 6 MAN ELIMINATION TAG STEEL CAGE MATCH. The Acclaimed and Bullet Club Gold having an entertaining in ring promo segment (Which is increasingly rare) The Cope open continues to be a solid anchor for the undercard. Could've replaced the sydal vs Strong match with another women's match but what we got was still solid. That main event was another great collision tag match. Bryan Danielson vs Eddie Kingston III for the triple crown will feed families."
