[5.0] "Logan Paul opened the show with an enjoyable promo that unfortunately led to the unveiling of a gaudy sponsor logo that will now adorn the mat at PPV's. Another negative of the opening segment was Paul introducing the loathsome and talentless KSI to the ring, although he thankfully kept his mouth shut and was quickly laid out with an RKO from Orton, who I've never been so pleased to see. The opening tag match was fine, but I was more interested in the post match that saw Paul return to the ring to attack KO & Orton from behind before Orton managed to steal the brass knucks as Paul made his escape; seems they may be heading to a triple threat at Mania. Kayla Braxton conducted decent a sit-down interview with a despondent Bayley. They then cut to Naomi who watched the interview on a monitor and had sympathy, on the other hand however, Belair didn't share those sentiments as she had spent the last 1000 years feuding with Bayley; in real life this mentality would be logical, but in wrestling, previous misdeeds are pretty much always forgotten once a heel turns face. Lashley vs Kross was even more boring than I expected and it ended in a shitty DQ; hopefully they don't drag this feud out until Mania because Kross has absolutely no business on the card unless it's in a worthless battle royal. Backstage, Dragon Lee was walking around in a Mysterio shirt like a complete geek, which Santos and his underlings were similarly unimpressed with. Tiffany Stratton made light work of Yim in a two minute squash where Stratton looked impressive, certainly closer to her NXT level than her previous outings on Smackdown. There was a fine little AJ vignette that caused the moronic irritant LA Knight to hit a TV with a chair. Lee vs Garza had a lack of chemistry leading to a sloppy and otherwise unmemorable match. There was a very brief Damage Ctrl vignette as Io is once again underrepresented on this show. The main event segment saw Rollins & Rhodes answer the challenge of Rock & Reigns; hearing Rhodes speak is like electrified razor blades being inserted into my ears, his character is so slimy and politician like, I just don't get it, he's loathsome. Meanwhile, Rollins, who is also a completely unlikable babyface, claimed Rock was having a midlife crisis, which is rich considering the 'clothes' he was wearing. Overall though, I did like the segment, but my god, if you've only got a certain amount of time, but a lot to get through, maybe don't waste 15 minutes on entrances, then maybe you won't fall off the air at an inopportune moment. As a whole, the show was okay with the highlights being the opening and closing segments, while the Lashley/Kross snoozathon was the lowlight. None of the matches need to be watched and Io Shirai should to be featured more."

[5.0] "All in all, a skippable Smackdown with the exception of the final 10 minutes. Match average for the 3 matches eligible to be rated was: 4.67 for me. So I felt it was quite a poor show from an in-ring point of view. The first match I really enjoyed but could easily be skipped. Tiffany looked strong again in her victory - she's going to be a star and they know it! The other two matches were in feuds which just aren't great momentum wise. Maybe the LWO feud will gain traction now Rey is back next week but I don't have much hope for Final Testament/Street Profits + Lashley. Feel like the main event segment should have been on first like last week, just to give them as much time needed as the promo felt rushed. A lot of todays card felt like filler."

[3.0] "What a disaster! It's a two-hour show, and there is less then 30 mins of wrestling. If you want to believe it's because of the big promo at the end, then you were fooled again. With 25 mins to go in the show the big promo starts. 15 mins, that's how long it took for everyone to get to the ring. The 25 min promo is now down to 10 mins and what did we get? Not much. The promo ends as soon as it starts to gain any traction. Speed up the entrances, so we can get actual substance. Also since when are the dark matches so much more interesting than the televised matches?"

For the moment, my hype for Wrestlemania has died down a little. Lashley/Kross has no business being on the road to WM."

[6.0] "This got to be the best episode of the year, at least in terms of quality content. Not that everything in the show was great, as there was a lot of mid things (Dragon Lee vs Angel and the backstage confrontation, everything related to the Pride vs the Final Testament, LA Knight smashing a TV screen with a chair...), but there were some really well executed parts: Bayley's promo was really good, as she doesn't pretend she is a pure hearted good girl just becaused she got betrayed by her heel ex-friends and she is portrayed more like a victim of that betrayal that wants to get revenge. Logical and full of sense. Damage CTRL counter-promo was equally good, with them remarking how blind Bayley was the whole time. Logan Paul is a natural in this business, and his promo skills and his heel manerisms are perfect. The opening segment and the Tag match were really simple but full of entertainment. AJ Styles' promo was also cool. Personally, I'd have done that promo with no background music. It would have felt so much more badass and powerful. Still don't like the idea of AJ vs LA at Mania though. The Main Event segment was really anticipated and it was as good as TV time allowed it to be. It was well noticed they cut time from some parts of the show to give it to this segment, but they should've cut some more from matches like Tiffany vs Mia or Kross vs Lashley so this segment could be more complete, but it was truly electrifying and it left some great moments like Seth standing up to the Rock and defending his legacy, Rock insults and Cody slapping Dwayne's face was the icing in the cake. This show needed better time planning and better matches to truly be the best episode of the year, and one of the best WWE shows in several months."

The tension was electrifying, crowd was hot, and the slap to end the show to set up the tag match for WM night 1 was greatly done. So excited for it. This is what Smackdown is probably gonna be like till WM and I'm fine with it. they're setting up the biggest show of the year. WWE needs to add more sponsors and make the ring mat gray so it will look better now that the Prime logo will be right in the middle of the ring for PLE's going forward."

[6.0] "A slightly above average show at best, the wrestling was still given too little time for my liking.Logans opening heel promo was good and i am mostly indifferent to the prime logo as of now and need to see it at a show to really judge. The first match was decent but could've gone longer. The Lashley and Kross feud is quite really dragging with Kross's character clearly not working out how Triple H might hope it would. The woman's match wasn't given nearly enough time while the main event was the best match according to me but once again as a common theme of the show was given too little time and unlike last week the bloodline promo wasn't good enough to drag this up as high as a 8/10 like last week. although it was still good according to me they dragged the big reveal of the tag match too long and really could've been done last week on smackdown with the faces challenging the bloodline at EC too bring some spice to that segment.Overall WWE really need to start focusing more on in ring action on Smackdown but the promos still lift the show to a 6/10"

[6.0] "Honestly, I preferred this Smackdown episode over last weeks DEBACLE of a show. I do find it hilariously poetic that the BLOODLINE were the ones running out of TV time (despite being given 30 minutes lol). Anyway, Seth Rollins impressed the most out of the 4 men on the mic, and his promo was less than 30 seconds. The Rock was fairly entertaining here (as expected). Cody Rhodes is cool, but he didnt do much here since he was being used as a recipient to The Rock roasting his siblings at the end of their segment. Roman Reigns was obviously the worst promo guy out of the 4 men here. Hopefully, his obnoxious, rotten fanbase can FINALLY stop pretending that hes good on the mic since his promo material is absolutely COOKED (3 years later too since hes stopped consistently trying). Imagine cutting a shitty promo that was low-key homophobic or even transphobic in 2024. Pardon my language; but yea, FUCK Reigns and his ego. Hopefully, Cody ends his godawful reign of terror in 4 weeks. Anyway, the rest of the matches here ranged from standard to solid. However, none of these matches were anything special. 28 minutes of wrestling in a 2 hour show is just pathetic. Tiffany Stratton vs Mia Yim only having 2 minutes of wrestling time on INTERNATIONAL WOMENS DAY is absolutely embarrassing. By the way, remember when Bayley and Damage Control had the hottest story on the show? Its AMAZING how theyve done everything to kill the hype for that womens story (which is a WORLD TITLE PROGRAM btw) just to continue shoving the Bloodline down our throats by hogging up all the TV time. Thats just more reason for me to hate the Bloodline. Lastly, that DQ finish to Bobby Lashley vs Karrion Kross was just lame. Anyway, I have unfortunately seen far worse, and far more disappointing episodes of Smackdown over the last 2-3 years. This show honestly hasnt been consistently good since early October 2021 (before they lost Edge, Seth Rollins, Becky Lynch, Kevin Owens, Finn Balor, etc. to Raw in that draft even though those names were carrying the show for a while). Honestly, my last favorite period of Smackdown was that November 2018 through March 2019 stretch of episodes. That feels so long ago now. Anyway, Id give this overrated show a 6.5/10 overall; but I lean more toward a 6 here instead. Screw your ratings, attendances, and numbers; just GIVE ME MORE WRESTLING."

[1.0] "Someone really needs to tell Triple H it's not the Attitude Era any more. The shambling corpse of the Bloodline story with a Rock chained to its ankle continues to descend even further. Seriously, what was with that promo? Wink-and-nudge transphobia wasn't funny in 1999, let alone 2024, but it seems like Roman has inherited that from his cousin too. And even after last week, Rocky still can't hit his times after being given half an hour, and it ended up with a storyline promo getting cut off by the network. The Rock's addition to this storyline does no favours to any of the players other than Dwayne himself, with the Head of the Table looking for the past month like he's being forced to eat scraps. And that's not even getting into the fact that WWE has given up on showing wrestling on Friday nights; seriously, in no world should you be getting more action on Rampage than Smackdown; 28 minutes of wrestling in two hours is just pathetic. Just put this dead storyline out of its misery, please."

[3.0] "Very frustrating show. Just around 30 minutes of wrestling, it's a shame that we only had one women's match and it was only 2 minutes. Kross vs Lashley was decent but ended in an underwhelming dq. Dragon Lee vs Angel was kind of sloppy but still okay, could have been longer. The opening tag team match was probably the match of the night, but it wasn't great. The segments on the show also weren't great. We had the opening segment with Logan, KSI and Orton, which was pretty lame. Only there to announce that wwe ppvs will be sponsored on the ring by prime, the logo looks horrid in the middle of that ring btw. Then some more backstage segments, one which was only there to promote the new 2k video game. The closing promo with the bloodline and seth/cody was pretty bad, did not build up any hype, and the only thing it did was confirm that the tag match is happening at wm. This promo was around 30 minutes, unfunny and didn't really advance the story in a meaningful way. Pretty dreadful smackdown all in all."

[8.0] "I thought it was a great episodemuch more of a story/building episode than it was anything else. Loved the opening portion of the show with Paul/Owens/Randy/Theory/Waller, Dragon Lee vs. Angel was also good. The ending segment was very good, it really kept the energy and electricity of the feud going without necessarily adding any new information. Seth did a great job with his little piece and then The Rock/Roman followed it up with some solid stuff (but, I will say that Roman's version of The Rock's sense of humor still comes off a little too childish, idk). It felt like they should've pushed for an overrun, Cody looked like he was going to try to get another line or two off. The slap got cut off just a little too soon, in my opinion."

[6.0] "No this Smackdown wasn't bad, but it is indeed going in that trend. The segments were pretty good, although the main event face off suffered from repetition from Rock and Reigns. The opening one with Paul, Orton and KSI was pretty good (shoutout to KSI for taking a good RKO).The main problem is the matches, they weren't the worst, but they are getting shorter each week and the match quality isn't improving. Tag team match was decent, Lashley vs Kross I didn't enjoy at all, Stratton vs Michin I understand, but hope they put the former Mia Yim in a success path soon. Garza vs Dragon Lee was pretty good, but not a masterpiece. Overall a show with meh wrestling but good segments, so I give a 6 and hope they do better next week(still prefer RAW, hehehe)"

[4.0] "With each subsequent broadcast of SmackDown, the momentum begins to slow down, although it would seem that the opposite should be increasing. I liked the beginning of the episode and its ending (I almost liked it, almost-almost liked it), but everything that happened between them was the most passable and uninteresting show. And while I generally enjoyed the final segment, I have to admit that it was the weakest segment leading up to the WrestleMania main event since Cody Rhodes won the Royal Rumble. An equally tortured segment that mostly consisted of repetitions of phrases and conditions that we have heard over the past week. The Rock's final punchline was weird because I didn't understand the merits of Cody Rhodes' sister and older brother, and why they were somehow better than Cody, except for being older... Or is the whole punchline really about Cody being just the youngest? in family? Wow. Well, yes, deep punches. For the first time leading up to this WrestleMania, I didn't like The Rock's promo, and I generally didn't understand the actions of everyone in that segment except the fans who chanted "diarrhea." And, believe me, these chants were not for Rock, but for this segment. Well, kamon, why did the world champion enter the segment to the Cody Rhodes theme song? Despite the criticism, I will repeat that the segment was in principle good, because I would really rather watch such a promo from Rollins, Cody and Rock (we ignore Roman, since he was there for furniture) rather than another Latin showdown between Escobar and Mysterio. Its actually a quiet horror, how much you can twist the barrel organ with showdowns between Latinos, I just dont understand. Seriously, during the match between Dragon Lee and Angel I became extremely bored and I thought for a minute, is it true that there is already less than a month left until WrestleMania? Because with the situation on SmackDown, at least this week, I really don't see it. For weeks now our show has been running with the same set of wrestlers, although there are enough performers in the locker room. Again Tiori and Waller get lulled, again Tiffany almost Squashes Meechin, again showdowns between Latinos, again conversations around Cody Rhodes and his story. It feels like nothing is changing at all on this show, and just like we were marking time for a month about three weeks ago, we continue to mark time. Basically, a couple of weeks ago I noted to myself that the road to WrestleMania from RAW was not felt, and everything looked somehow dull. And today the effect of gloom has reached SmackDown, and today I really have to admit that the road to WrestleMania looks sad for two shows already. There were no interesting matches on the show (only a beautiful RKO at the end of the first match). On the good side, there were one and a half segments today that I really highlighted as positives throughout the show. Everything else was boring. Bayley's story has been stuck since the coolest promo a month ago. The plot is at a standstill and they are just stalling for time until the WrestleMania match. Well, yes, Naomi volunteered to help Bayley, and then somehow Bianca was talked into joining... In principle, yes, a story of the caliber of WrestleMania, you cant say anything."

[2.0] "SmackDown has been the worst wwe weekly for a year or 2 now, and it continue to show a lot of weakness... Man that show was bad, first of all, how is it possible to have just bad matches on this show weeks after weeks? The in ring is just awful, and even angel vs dragon lee can't save this show from the in ring perspective. All the segments feels pointless, damge ctrl vs bayley with juste 2 minutes... It just feel like a whole roster is sacrifice for 4 people, and those promo between bloodline and cody seth already feels boring... And I don't talk about the Logan Paul announcement... The only good thing about this show is the new rock entrance, except for that, there's litteraly nothing that I found good about this show. And unfortunately, it's just been recurring with SmackDown for 1 or 2 years..."

[5.0] "A very disappointing episode. The opening segment is a giant ad disguised as a crappy promo done by a buffoon. It's obnoxious, but it's not acting, it's the truth. The tag with Owens and Orton isn't bad, but it's useless for the rest of the show unless Owens starts a feud against one of the two opponents, and apart from the finish there's nothing very interesting in the ring. Lashley and Kross go round in circles and we're bored stiff. The same goes for Styles and LA Knight. Stratton's matches are decent but too short, and nothing is really built for the medium term with this kind of match. She's just building up momentum. Dragon Lee and Angel delivered a quick but decent performance. But it lacks a good match on the card, especially at the beginning and end of the show. And finally, the segment that many were waiting for seemed rather predictable. A new entry for The Rock. Rather nice. And a few good lines from Rollins. A cool slap in the face, but not much for a road to Wrestlemania and after such a mediocre show. Wrestling quality: 0.5/3 Segments and promos: 0, 5/3 Other negative or positive points: None, because the crappy ads are included in the promos. Overall : 5/10"

[6.0] "The Bloodline feud with Cody Rhodes and Seth Rollins is doing all the heavy lifting for SmackDown at the moment, and even then I don't like all the ego in play. The matches this week were super average, and it's not great optics giving the women just a two minute match on International Women's Day, although there was build for the Bayley program and a tease of a future Bianca Belair heel turn. Interesting to note that WWE are finally going to have a ring canvas sponsor, even if it is PRIME, an idea Vince McMahon hated for the longest time."

[7.0] "I loved to see the "heel" sponsor just as much as I loved the first segment and the first match, the finish was great. I'm looking forward to see whether there will be some heat between KO and Randy. Lashley again gets limited by this awful feud, nothing surprising. Same with Dragon Lee vs Angel Garza. I'm glad Tiffy is being rewarded, but I hate it when it's too obvious. I also hate that Smackdown unlike RAW gets even more overproduced - oh how the roles have switched in the last decade. Again the Bloodline (alongside the opener) carried this show, but not as much as last week. I felt that the reiteration of the Bloodline's offer was too obviously marketing-ish. Other than that, Rollins finally had some powerful, authentic words. And it's nice to see a show not ending in time after a long time."
