[8.0] "This was a really good show , I enjoyed the match between Michin and Iyo the most , they are very experienced and showed how good they are in the ring , it reminded me kind of joshi wrestling , I also liked the styles clash from Michin. My least favorite match was Butch and Tyler Bate vs Pretty Deadly , but it was still a very fun match , every thing else in the show was a little better , but this was still enjoyable and a nice showcase for bate. My favorite moment is Roman laughing off the threat of the rock , it highlights Romans character and was a funny moment from him. Match ratings Kevin vs Santos 7/10 , Iyo vs Michin 9/10 , Butch and Tyler Bate vs Pretty Deadly 6/10 , AJ Styles vs LA Knight vs Randy Orton 6/10."

The main event getting some room to breathe before the chaos was nice. And I really enjoyed the ending with Aldis and Heyman."

[8.0] "First off, it was great how Michin turned the crowd around from disinterested to well into her match. Respect to those two ladies there. This was a good show. The main event was a great match for the most part. The interference sets up a good match for Rumble, and while I liked Aldis holding Reigns accountable, surely Heyman as the strategist would have predicted this reaction to Roman ruining the main event. The tournament final was solid. Logan Paul was a bit frustrating on commentary, too muhc disrespect to his opponent (I know it suits his character, but you should build up an opponent). Also great to see Tyler Bate and AOP debut (this HAS to be the last chance at repackaging for Kross). Solid show."

[8.0] "A worthy weekly show with decent wrestling and some highlights like the return of Authors Of Pain and Paul Ellering who will be with Karrion Kross in this new stage in WWE, I also liked a lot in general all the wrestling and they were all decent actually. A Main Event as a great creative decision in my view."

"Roman looked like a real final boss, his unexpected entrance during the match was also a great idea, as for the rest of the gala, it was very enjoyable, I personally wanted the fight of the evening and I was not disappointed"

[7.0] "In this pre-wrestlemania kind of downswing still before WWE will really heat up for the road to Wrestlemania expectations are low, with that in mind this was a great show, although it still seemed to me like it was missing something big for the last few minutes of the show, Iyo vs Michin seemed like it was slower pace than it should have been and the Pretty Deadly match was disappointing."

[5.0] "Solid show with solid matches, logical storytelling and a minimum of fuss or real edge of the seat excitement. In terms of steadily paced, episodic storytelling these shows are good and SD being contained to 2 hours certainly helps make it more digestible but they can certainly feel like a chore to watch. I was hoping the two shows this week would really compel given it's a new year, these were 'special' episodes and the Rumble is coming up. They had decent matches announced and there's multiple storylines to be advanced but this still felt very 'dry'."

[6.0] "This was in the same line as Day 1 and the rest of TV shows lately. Just plain good, although it featured some surprises I really loved. First, Tyler Bate finally arriving to the Main Roster after 7 years. It was long overdue for one of the best talents in the world, and watching him reunited with Pete Dunne was really cool. The other one, the return of Paul Ellering and the Authors of Pain, joining Kross and Scarlett in a stable that looks really promising. I hope this brings that something Karrion needs and we see some of the true AOP from their NXT days. As I said, the show was plain good, nothing really bad. The Women's Title match proposed some interesting ideas, but the execution was rather poor. Owens vs Santos was a bit off, but a good match in general and Logan Paul did a great heel job as usual. The Main Event was perfectly executed, it didn't need to be a banger and the three men did a good job. The ending was a bit stupid though. What did Roman think it would happen? It was that kind of moment so typical of WWE that insults people's intelligence, but the consequence of it was good. A fresh match in this long ass reign with a more dynamic approach. Fine show, some nice moments, but nothing that can be considered actually special."

[8.0] "Out of Day 1, New Years Evil and New Years Revolution, this one was handily the best of them. Four fun matches and no real fillers. Owens vs Paul was the pretty obvious outcome for the tournament but I liked the match nonetheless. Michin had some time to shine in her singles match and Iyo did an amazing job as always. No interferences meant we got a clean and good match. I was happy to see Tyler Bate team with Butch even though the crowd didnt appreciate it enough in my opinion. Main event was also well-done and a Fatal 4-Way at the Royal Rumble promises some entertaining action. Looking forward to it and Im very happy with this episode of SmackDown. In addition, the new stable surrounding Karrion Kross seems to have potential and I hope it will not be wasted."

[9.0] "Great episode of Smackdown, with two matches worthy of being on a PLE anywhere, and two other good matches, the return of AOP shocked me. Kevin Owens vs Santos Escobar: Both gave all they had and made this tournament final match an exciting one, the outcome was hard to tell at times as either could have won at any time, but Kevin Owens won deservedly, and cannot wait for the match between Logan Paul and Kevin Owens at the Royal Rumble [****1/4]. IYO SKY vs Michin: Michin gave a great performance even in defeat, some cool moments like Michin connecting with a Styles Clash from the second rope, Michin was not going to win in reality but she gave a championship worthy effort, IYO SKY proved why she is the Women's Champion [***3/4]. Butch & Tyler Bate vs Elton Prince & Kit Wilson: Great tag team match, good to see Butch & Tyler Bate back as a team (hopefully not only for one night), good ending with Butch and Tyler Bate hitting a double Tyler Driver 97 [***]. AJ Styles vs LA Knight vs Randy Orton: This match was a classic triple threat match featuring three main event level worthy wrestlers, all three showed why they should be in contention for the Undisputed Universal Title at the Royal Rumble, until The Bloodline interfered and caused a no contest, looking forward to the four way at the Royal Rumble even if it did get made official at the expense of the ruining of the triple threat match [****1/4]"

We had Roman Reigns and The Bloodline on the show, so you already know its must watch TV and we had an awesome match between Owens and Escobar, a fun womens title match, Tyler Bate debuting on the main roster and an amazing main event. Unfortunately the crowd was awful and didnt respond to anything, but I wont let that ruin my enjoyment of the show."

The main event was solid and im glad the wwe title 4 way is happening at the rumble, heyman telling roman next ep will great. Overall this show was solid, but as special as people have been saying."

[8.0] "This was a really good show overall, as many people got the chance to shine and it proves that smackdown can be a really good show once certain aspects, like the bloodline are put to rest. All of the matches were really good for what they were, and while the booking in the main event has become comically predictable, all 3 men did get the chance to look good."

[8.0] "New Year's Revolution was a fun, entertaining show. First, the backstage segments were held to a minimum while the in-ring action got the spotlight. The US Championship #1 Contender match was decent, but nothing spectacular. Escobar & KO are talented Superstars, which showed in this one. I didn't care much for Logan Paul's spotlight in this one. The Women's Championship match was pretty good. Given that Michin is barely on TV, it was odd that she got a title show, but she delivered big-time. It was a nice way to highlight the SmackDown Women's division with a superstar who isn't named Bianca, Charlotte, or Asuka. I'm glad to see there is a new direction for Karrion Kross. I've been waiting for it for so long. I hope Kross can finally showcase his abilities on the main roster. The Tag Team match was my favorite. I'm so happy that Tyler Bate got the call-up to the main roster. Butch & Bate have great chemistry in the ring, and they played it well with Pretty Deadly. I hope Bate will get his TV time and won't get lost in the shadows. The main event was great, but the finish was over the top. With WWE's decision to have a Fatal Four-Way title match at the Royal Rumble, they removed two excellent Superstars from the Men's Royal Rumble match. I'm not sure it was the best decision, but the title match will be fantastic."

[10.0] "Fantastic episode of Smack Down. Not a lot of matches but every match was amazing. KO and Santos opener was a banger, they put on a great match and was good to see Logan paul back on the screen. Iyo sky continues to have great title defenses and this one was great as well. Finally we get the main roster call up of Tyler Bate, Bate and Dunne team is gonna be really fun to watch. To end it all the main event was fantastic. Had a big fight feel due to it involving three main even level top guys in there. The match was great, with some amazing nearfalls, although the Roman beat down was a little flat end for me, but them announcing it to be Fatal Four Way match at the Rumble is a great change to the formulaic Roman Reigns matches. The Karrion Kross faction also seems interesting, but still too early to say anything about it."

[10.0] "Great show. Good opener, Kevin Owens wins without surprise. Karrion Kross with AOP and Paul Ellering will become interesting. Tyler Bate was the mystery Partner, probably Sheamus will be back in the royal rumble match. Great main event, the 3 guys have good overness, but Reigns destroys the challengers. The fatal 4 way will be great for the WWE title."

[7.0] "Great Smackdown show. The chronology of the fights was well done, there are things that I didn't like, but they don't overshadow the fantastic program they did today. Owens vs Santo was the fight of the night, very well carried out and with a great chronology between the two, where they immersed the public 100%. Great women's battle, where I was pleasantly surprised by the work of Michin, an undervalued worker in the WWE women's division, I hope she has more prominence in the coming weeks. The Tag Team match was a good appetizer for the main event, it fulfilled its mission of entertaining the public. Finally, the main event that was almost perfect, except for the ending that was poorly handled with Roman Reigns taking away all the cameras. I felt that the best thing was a 1 vs 1 fight for the Royal Rumble and not a fatal 4 because that way it eliminates favorite participants to win the royal. But nothing to do. 7/10."

[8.0] "I'd say a pretty good episode. A bit too many reviews going on, plus the main event where Roman, Jimmy, and Solo took out LA Knight, Randy Orton, and AJ Styles while Nick Aldis just stood there doing nothing, that wasn't very believable, not at all which I would have booked. Regardless, the main event was very good, AJ and LA had some decent ring work together, and Randy was good as usual. The Women's Title match was better than I thought it'd be. Very cool to see Tyler Bate on Smackdown, he did good (not sure if he was showing off, but was fun to watch)."

[8.0] "I'm giving this an 8 on the Smackdown scale because I thought it did a good job of advancing key stories and building intrigue for the Royal Rumble. On a regular scale, I'd give it a 5 because the crowd sucked almost the entire night and hurt the show. There was some good wrestling on this show but the crowd didn't react to a lot of it. KO vs. Santos was a solid opener and KO winning was the right call. Iyo vs. Michin was very good, especially the final 3 minutes of the match. Main event with Orton/Styles/Knight got the most crowd reaction all night but we of course didn't get a finish, and like I predicted, we're getting a fatal four way at Royal Rumble. Predictable booking but the match should be hot. Solid outing overall but nothing spectacular."
