[4.0] "This episode had potential to be better with some restructuring, but the main event really dragged the whole show down for me because of how bad I thought it was. The Andrade vs. Hayes match was the only match on the card that felt worth watching, and even that is starting to see diminishing returns for me with how often they've run it without that compelling of a story, either in-ring, or out of the ring. [MOTN: Andrade vs. Carmelo Hayes]"

[9.0] "I actually really really loved this episode. The LA Knight segment wasnt his best but it was cool when Ludwig came out to challenge for the title. The tag match that came after was good but nothing too insane happened. Kevin & Codys segment was just very interesting to watch before Bash. Carmelo vs Andrade IV was probably the best from their feud. The main event took a while to pick up but got better. Overall, loved this episode somehow, found myself enjoying everything from it."

[5.0] "That was a tough watch too be honest. The main event was good, the rest was boring; both matches and the few segments that were there. Also, why on earth would they have Gunther vs Ilja as a dark match?"

[6.0] "For the average quality of the SmackDown go-home shows under the Triple H era, this is perhaps the best in a very long time, which is not saying much, but at least it was better done and far more interesting than others recently. I'm not a fan at all of breaking the brand extension when WWE just feels like it, but I'm happy for Ludwig Kaiser for having his personal moment in his country. The match with LA Knight was ok, but it was too much one-sided and that made it a little boring. Persoanlly, I would've preferred either Shinsuke Nakamura or Giovanni Vinci answered the challenge. Nakamura is not going to go worse with that loss, but at least he would return to action; and if done right, even with a loss, Gio could benefit from looking good against the US Champion and use that to propel himself for another shot in the future. It looks like the Legado del Fantasma and Crews/Corbin feud is finally over. I'm glad, it was the most irrelevant thing in the company today, it didn't benefit anyone involved and it kept making Crews looking like a nobody jobber and Corbin falling into the lowest he has ever been in his career after how much he recovered himself and improved in NXT. I hope this at least is a turning point for Legado, as Santos seemed like he was carrying the effects of the constant failures they've been suffering. Corbin and Apollo got into an argument with A-Town Down Under, all to keep developing the eventual face turn of Austin Theory. I think that DIY, specially Johnny Gargano should be involved more in that story. When they feuded over the tag titles it seemed like something really good could came out of that, but WWE didn't care enough to go for it. Carmelo Hayes and Andrade keep rolling in their unofficial best of "I don't know how many matches" series, yet they still don't pushing forward enough, and I know it's not on them because they can do that and much more, so I hope they're saving the best for the payoff, hopefully an Ironman or 2 out 3 falls match in Bad Blood (those two deserve a PPV spot. Enough with the 5 match cards). The Street Fight was saved thanks to, and I'm not believing I'm saying this, Nia Jax. Amazing selling job, great character display. I can't say the same for Mia Yim, botchy, incongruous regarding her character (you claim you're a badass and when Nia steals your kendo you beg for mercy and run away? Bitch, please). I don't like how the Tiffany-Nia angle is being done. It doesn't make sense that Nia keeps allied to her after Tiff clearly tried to cash-in on her. The SummerSlam one was perfectly done, as you can tell she tried to cash-in, but by being attacked by Bayley it looked like Tiff helped Nia. They should be more subtle with that and keep the alliance going on for a while, now even more with the addition of Pretty Deadly into it. And about the Cody vs KO face-off, well, I liked their segment and how the story kept building itself last week, but this week it seemed too forced to me. KO spoke about Cody being hurt from his knee, while Cody claimed he was 100%. Instead Cody preferred to talk about how he was about to seemingly being betrayed by Kevin, yet Kevin preferred to focus on the knee and how beating him injured would make the fans say he didn't deserve the Championship. It was kinda confusing how it was delivered. The knee angle should've been played from the beginning and I think this should've been more heated because of Kevin feeling questioned by Cody and also being awarded a title shot instead of earning it. Let's see how things went in the PPV. For the first time, I'll also speak about the dark matches as, somehow, it became available to watch. Nothing to say about the tag match except it was the most plain and basic match I've seen in a while. Best thing it had was Angelo Dawkins doing Cristiano's "SIUUUU". As for Dom vs Priest, well, it basically told you everything you need to know about Dominik Mysterio. The dude is just his gimmick and how well it settled with the audiences. But there's no way a guy that loses like that can be in contention for a Championship in the main roster. It worked with the North American Title because he had the Judgment Day help and he had a bigger status than his opponents back then, but until he is booked to look credible as a wrestler, he can't touch a title. Thankfully, he doesn't need one to be succesful as he is one of the most popular guys in wrestling today. And finally, the match that should've happened one day after, live on PPV, with a much bigger and better development and build-up to create another 5 star masterpiece, instead relegated to recurring match in the European Tour. Gunther and Dragunov recreate the same match they wrestled in Rotterdam. TV style, quite simple, yet full of psychology and good technique and storytelling. Dragunov starts with so much confidence, he allows himself to taunt Gunther, while the Champion seems hesitant and insecure, unable to connect an accurate attack on his rival, who skillfully manages to avoid all the champion's holds and attacks. That's until Gunther finally connects the big boot, which completely changes the dynamic of the story. Now Gunther is the dominator, and Dragunov enters into his suffering stage, regaining the upper-hand thanks to his tenacity, but still being unable to beat a focused Gunther who doesn't play around with the guy that one day made him submit. Even when he won, while keeping his heel character, he kinda showed respect towards Ilja by leaving the ring as soon as he won the match, and watching him with a look of appreciation for how hard and well he fought. I hope when the time comes for them to wrestle a televised match, it's on the same level of their NXT masterpieces and they don't hold them back."

[6.0] "A decent episode of Smackdown in Berlin, two really good matches and two that needed booking differently, some decent segments. Cody Rhodes/Kevin Owens face to face segment was interesting when KO went on about Rhodes being injured, and trying to get into the head of Rhodes a day before their title match. LA Knight vs Ludwig Kaiser: A good title defense for Knight, even if the crowd in Berlin did root for Kaiser with him being from Germany, the action was solid enough for a TV Match, Knight retaining was good to see [***]. Angel & Berto vs Apollo Crews & Baron Corbin: I did not like this match much, the action was average at best, not good to be honest [*1/4]. Carmelo Hayes vs Andrade: Best match on the show definitely, the chemistry between these two was on point, the action delivered, PLE worthy on a weekly show, Hayes getting the win was good to see [***3/4]. Nia Jax vs Michin: This match was boring to be honest, not much happened, the interferences of Bayley and Tiffany Stratton should not have happened, Jax was the obvious winner here [*3/4]"

[6.0] "Nice episode of SmackDown. It was a good idea to give Kaiser a title shot in his hometown, even if it was on a weekly episode. The tag team match was particularly good, and as usual, Carmelo Hayes vs. Andrade delivered. The main event was fun, even though there were some noticeable moments of uncertainty. The segment between Kevin Owens and Cody Rhodes was excellentI really enjoyed it. Overall, it was an entertaining episode that kept me engaged."

I'd say all the matches underachieved compared to their potential, and a lot of the show felt like simply treading water before the PPV. Nothing was outright bad, but there wasn't anything of real interest here either."

[5.0] "An somewhat average show for the final show because Bash in Berlin. LA Knight vs Kaiser was alright. The tag team of Corbin/Crews vs Los Garza was a bit exciting. Hayes vs Andrade was great and Andrade looked much better although Hayes got the win. Jax vs Michin didn't worked that well considering the size difference was hugely effective, so just only weapons."
