TV Ratings arent indicative of quality, especially in North America, but Joe vs Swerve vs Hangman performing so well should serve as a direction for AEWs main titles going forward. A great opener & solid main event, all you can ask for from a typical weekly show especially as PPVs expand. Sammy v Starks was underwhelming, and the cloud of Jericho is still hanging overhead the tag titles. Those belts desperately need an established main event team to win them, and a hot feud to go along with it. Bucks, FTR, Lucha Bros, Best Friends, Black & King-anyone whos been there before. Atmosphere at Dailys was great as always. Weekly shows with this vibe & feeling could take AEW very far in 2024. The top stars are interacting, the world title is important, ways to go but much better so far."
"Samoa Joe's promo was the highlight of the show. I wasn't fully behind the idea of him ending MJF's reign until now. I forgot what a great promo he was back in 2015/16 and what a legitimate presence he is. Nothing else was really a standout on this show. I'm a little disappointed the women only had an 8 person tag on this show when they are starting to build momentum in that division. Claudio/Hangman and the main event were good tv matches. The Young Bucks are also a great choice for Sting's retirement match. Hopefully it will lead to the bucks reinventing their heel persona and recovering from their cold 2023."

[8.0] "A super fun episode of Dynamite this week. The opener and main event matches were both perfect bookends for what was an overall solid and intrigue-building show. The two 8-person tags that memorialised Brodie were a bit of light-hearted but emotional fun, with both of his proteges looking strong and having momentum going into stories in the future. As well as this, a continued presence of the Undisputed Kingdom and the World Championship in separate yet equally intriguing storylines wrapped up what was a very enjoyable 2 hour watch."
"Being there live for this show made it more memorable than a TV viewing. Since I haven't watched a full Dynamite since 2020, it doesn't hit home as much being a casual viewer. That being said, half of this card was dedicated to Dark Order members getting the victories (Page, PV, & Anna) because of Brodie and that's fine. Maybe this is the trend for all Daily's Place shows going forward (7/10 for the opener, 5/10 for the tags). The cool down matches for me were Sammy/Starks and the Strong match, one was to build up for a future tag title match (Jericho ran out hitting a pretty awful looking Codebreaker) and I'm not invested in the Adam Cole Gang or whatever it's called. Don't know what the World Title situation is like, but it's very TNAish to me (not just because Joe is champion) because I don't get it. (4/10 for all those segments) The Main Event was nice despite Tony Khan not investing any additional funds in getting the camera crew on the screen for his hometown venue for a Tornado Tag Match (it's that sad live) so I guess to make up for it, Darby & Sting did high spots off the left and right sides respectively. They were cool and I immediately left the event not sticking around for Rampage because of the long drive home (8/10) I guess it's a 6 out of 10 if I was allowed to rate it. Worth 50 bucks to see Sting wrestle live for the only time in my life, everything else was just fodder leading up to that. Don't get offended, I barely get out much."
[6.0] "Sure both opener & ME matches were good but they were not 'that' great to rate the show up to 8-10 mark. Brodie tribute was touching but the og Dark Order was not present. The whole 'we are good guys' angle with the Dark Order is actually interesting but AEW just can't (or don't want to or both) book them. I wish we saw their paths crossing with Vance & Jay in reverse roles this time. Both Preston and Anna having the pinfall to lead the victory was inevitable. It kinda felt refreshing even. For a tribute match, I wouldn't consider them bad. Both were fun and women one was more meaningful due to pretty much each woman having history with each other. Men's tag was rather random especially being booked around a disagreement between the Moguls and Lance. I don't know why it was there and it really should have been Dark Order + Vance, teasing the history between them. I didn't like the finish for the match between Guevara and Starks. For a second I thought Starks was concussed or something and couldn't kick out. Post match angle to promote their match was also corny. Starks & Bill literally waited (while having their backs turned) for Jericho to attack them? Then they brawled while Judas running in the back? I mean... Just because it once work with Moxley doesn't mean you need to replicate it in every cheap opportunity. Or... Was it to mask the boos? Lol. I don't get why people would get hyped up for Jericho in the first place (trust me this has nothing to do with his off-screen character). I really like seeing Bryan Keith on my screen but I kinda see him taking Komander role where he would end up as a jobber or worse, not having TV time at all. Or... they are cutting his entrance cuz he's getting a new theme, he'll be signed and he'll be built up slowly (coping). The stare off between Joe and Hook was tense but it's hard to market Hook as a credible opponent til people see the match themselves, I hope he'll do great. We might be getting a three way between Hangman-Swerve-Joe and that sounds cool. And for real, I was expecting YB to return but not for this. If Sting's final match must be a tag, then it really could have been anyone but YB. Hard to say there is much meaning to be found in it. AEW is not in their indie-darling days either so for a homecoming show it was overwhelming. I don't like how pretty much all the matches being so close to each other in time mark either."
[3.0] "No very interesting matches for what is supposed to be the best AEW show. The tribute to Brodie was touching, but to make two matches with no stakes and meaningless teams to make members of his clan win seems like a bad idea to me. Outside the ring, the presence of Flair and Jericho, both accused of sexual assault, gives a sad picture of a supposedly progressive promotion. 3/10"
[8.0] "This was a great episode. There was less story line advancement then usual, but it worked as a tribute to the Daily's years. We opened with the Match of the Night, as Adam Page took on Claudio Castagnoli. We then started the night's mission of cramming as many people onto the card as possible, as Adam Copeland, Dustin Rhodes, Orange Cassidy, and Preston Vance faced The Mogul Embassy and Lance Archer in another fun match. Sammy Guevara and Ricky Starks had a decent match that never quite clicked, and may have been shortened by injury. We then got the women's 8-person clusterfuck as Anna Jay, Kris Statlander, Thunder Rosa, and Willow Nightingale took on Julia Hart, Skye Blue, and the Outcasts in a very fun match. We got a brief match between Roderick Strong and Bryan Keith that showed that the Undisputed Kingdom is doing him no favours either. Finally, we got a wild falls count anywhere main event between Darby Allin and Sting and the Don Callis Family/"
[6.0] "I do not think I really missed Daily's Place, to be honest. Acoustics-wise and from the setup if just feels off these days, but maybe that is the memory of the pandemic era talking and trying to forget itself. The show started strong with Hangman and Claudio, but then turned into a couple of pedestrian matches, at least one of which (Sammy/Starks) should have been more heated and plain better than what it was. I liked the parade of challengers for the World title as well as Toni Storm's fabulous backstage promo. The two eight person tag team matches were lackluster at best. I get that it was a nod to Brodie Lee that both Anna and Preston got to take the victory, but it is meaningless if you don't follow it up next week and also if both of them haven't really shown much improvement compared to three years ago. No stories were advanced here either. The main event was then a strong finish to the show, as the crowd was hot for it all and the action was good. Not sure about feeding all these youngsters to Sting, but if anyone has earned him, it's probably him. The return of the Young Bucks was greatly appreciated in the end, as it almost guarantees a strong match for Sting's finale. Overall this show was decent enough, but the middle matches were too lackluster for my taste to really recommend watching the whole two hours."
[6.0] "Good to see Dynamite back at dailys place, but this show wasnt as good as I was expecting. This was still a decent episode dont get me wrong, but nothing excited me here. The 8 person tags added nothing for me and I would rather see the former Dark Order members have singles matches and have a proper showcase."
[7.0] "Not a bad Dynamite, but it was a little disappointing for me... the Young Bucks at the end really saved it, I would go to sleep with a bitter taste on my mouth if it ended without any great moment. It's always awesome when AEW returns to the Daily's Place, always a special atmosphere there... the opener and closer were really good matches, and we had some wholesome tributes to Brodie Lee in the show, great to see. Samoa Joe promo with the interruptions of Swerve and Hangman was great, and HOOK showed a lot of aura there with the staredown. They ran the Jericho angle with Judas playing on the background and a crazy brawl, it was a perfect tactic to avoid any bad or weird reaction, but at the same time very questionable because they are trying to avoid and bury the allegations."
[8.0] "Another great edition of Dynamite that seems on a roll right now: Hangman vs. Claudio was a perfect way to start the show, awesome match. The first eight men tag was enjoyable, nothing special but surely fun and a nice tribute to Mr. Brodie Lee. Samoa Joe's first promo as champion was great and the world title scene with Swerve and Hangman as challengers looks awesome. Hook just feels out of place compared to the other three and that's probably why he's challeging next week and we are not getting a four way. Toni Storm had a great backstage promo that served as a set-up for her next feud, most likely against Deonna Purazzo. Starks vs. Guevara was good until that abrupt ending that ruined everything the two had built before. Hope Ricky is okay, he looked rocked after the match. Wasn't a fan of the post-match brawl with Judas playing in the background either. Everything that revolves Jericho right now is not just interesting at all and I really hope that TK does not put the titles on him and Guevara because it would be a terrbile decision. The other eight men tag between the ladies was good as well, entertaining and that showcased very well the division as all the ladies got their chance to shine. Strong vs. Keith was good and the post-match promo by Cole just showed the kind of booking nonsense Aew often does; why are the BCG and The Acclaimed arguing on their name as a team rather than beat the Undisputed Kingdom's ass? Shit like that drives me insane. Takeshita and Hobbs vs. Sting and Darby was a great main event, Darby did his usual crazy spots and Sting looked awesome. The Young Bucks returning to be Sting's last opponents was an awesome way to end the show, so happy they are back and, honestly, they are the perfect opponents for Sting's last match. A win against Sting in his last match could set-up them up are the biggest heel tag team in Aew. Overall: a really good show with great matches and stories that are slowly being built. The crowd and the atmosphere of the Daily's Place also played a huge part in my overall enjoyement of the show as the vibe and the energy were super positive. Hope they can run show there more often. Also I really liked the camera work and the show's presentation, the leds and the stage looked fantastic."
[10.0] "I really really enjoyed this show I dont really understand why people are so mixed on this episode. For me is holds up with the first AEW show of 2024 with a strong bounce back from their worst PPV since AEW has started. Maybe there is some whiplash from that for me. All the matches were very solid and brought the same sort of fun a lot of AEW matches had from 2019 to 2021. Weakest point in the show easily was the Adam Cole/Undisputed Kingdom promo which was more or less a weaker rehash of last weeks promo. Dynamites have been good so far in 2024 and I hope it stays that way because Worlds End really really had me down."
[10.0] "The Daily Place vibes were immaculate and it was great to see AEW return home after a long time. The matches were all solid, the tributes to Brodie were touching, and the ending with the Young Bucks coming out was the most perfect cherry on it all. Along with the matches, the show moved forward a lot of stories as well: - Samoa Joe gets confronted by Swerve, Hangman and Hook - Sting's retirement match - Men's 8 man tag branches off to the ROH 6 Man titles - Toni vs Deonna seeds planted - Acclaimed and BCG potentially fighting for Trios Titles/potentially joining - Anna/Julia pick things back up where they left off a few months ago - Jericho/Sammy previewed their match on Saturday"
[10.0] "Amazing show with an amazing atmosphere, AEW coming back to Daily's Place always feels great, especially if you were with them for the ride all throughout the pandemic. Did not expect Sting and Darby to have the Bucks as their opponents in Sting's final match, but it's gonna be great for them to go over AEW's #1 team overall in Sting's sendoff. Very happy with the focus on late great Brodie Lee as well."
[5.0] "Decent show that was more celebratory than storyline-rich, every match feeling like an exhibition. Page vs Claudio was match of the night but not really that exciting. My highlight was the reception Samoa Joe received as World Champion. I'm worried he'll be OP on the mic though. Shoutout to Will Hobbs for the sheer bravery on that table spot."
[8.0] "With the exception of the first match (which was given ample time to build/flow without seeming rushed), I thought the episode could've been formatted slightly better so the matches were given more time to breathe. Maybe not showing all of the entrances for the eight-man matches would've helped? But that's my only real issue with this episode, as the storylines were handled well and the big moments they were aiming for all hit (e.g., Hook vs Joe confrontation, celebrating Brodie, Sting and Darby getting big bumps and a win). A few other notes: Cole's promo was solid, Starks and Guevara pulled off some really creative sequences/counters in their match, the Hangman/Claudio match and the Main Event both used the unique layout of Daily's Place to do fun ramp/dive spots that you can't really do in standard arenas."
[7.0] "Overall, the episode was enjoyable, starting strong with the match between Claudio Castagnoli and Adam Page. Highlights included the 8-man match and the main event between Sting & Darby and The Don Calis Family. Despite a few missteps, such as the strange conclusion to the Sammy Guevara vs. Ricky Starks match and a lackluster 8-woman match, the episode succeeded in advancing several storylines. The engaged crowd at Daily's Place added to the vibrant atmosphere of the episode."
[7.0] "Feel good episode, some pretty randomized match making on the surface, but made for an entertaining episode. Various Dark Order alum got the wins to honor Brodie, basically the baby faces won every match tonight but one lol. All of the matches except the opener were ten minutes or under, making for a breezy show. I'm not a big fan of either Sammy OR Ricky, so I was least invested in that match overall. Sammy is just tepid now, and Ricky feels like he's got a foot out the door. Running Jericho's music during his post match brawl felt very deliberate too. Timeless Toni had a great segment, Joe is running up a triple threat with Swerve and Hanger. Cole basically said the same thing he did last time he had a mic, but that's fine. Popped to see the Bucks return."
[9.0] "Very fun show. That is 2/2 for dynamites this year. Even though there was not a match on the level of Takeshita vs Darby the wrestling was still very good. Hanger vs Claudio was very good a 8.5/10 match with great reactions from the crowd. Hangman is getting back at where he was during 2021-22 and I would love to seem as champ again Later on. Claudio is still so beast and I would love to see him beat oc. The 2 8 person tag matches were really fun house show matches and crowd pleasers. Just fun wrestling with good sequences and a homage to Brodie. The impromptu roddy vs BK mactch was a very good sprint and I hope Keith is signed already. Happy to see Roddy back and serious an being the great wrestler that he is. The world title program started very well and Samoa Joe as champion is the best decision after MJF. He has the aura of a world champion and he just makes the title feel important and serious. Think he will have a really cool match with HOOK next week. Main event was really cool. Takeshita and Allin have great chemistry and Hoobs looked great as well. Sting pulling these spots at his age is insane and I am grateful that he is having this run to end his career . Heel young bucks work perfect for stings final match and thereat they are gonna generate with everything they pull at revolution is gonna be intense. After that match I want heel YB to go to the tag division and save it along with FTR , HOB Aussie open and others. The only downside of the show for me was Ricky vs Sammy . Ricky appeared to be injured (not very seriously ) and that is why thematic ended kinda out of nowhere but the match could have been better . Jericho even before the allegations pissed me off and now even more. I hope they lose on Saturday and he is off Tv for a long time. Also Sammy does not have it . Sorry but he is not on the level of MJF or Darby and Danny Garcia and Starks have surpassed him and feel more important than him. {9/10}"
[8.0] "Hell yes, heel Bucks are back and looking extra douchey. Already excited to see them against Darby and Sting, they're gonna make Sting look like a million dollars. This was a solid episode, with fun fast paced matches and very good promo segments. The opening match was great with Hangman winning and a hot crowd. The two big tags were fun and high energy, and the matches all.moved along at a brisk pace. The Sammy/ricky match was good but felt a smidge short and the after brawl with Jericho was botchy. Main event was well structured as a brawler but had me worried for Sting. He's a great worker for his age but I'm happy he's winding down. The Toni Storm interview was hilarious."
[5.0] "Uh, an average show, I guess? I love Daily's Place as a venue and it definitely helped with the atmosphere, but the show itself was pretty rough. Nothing as good as Darby/Takeshita last week, nothing that stood out at all, really. Hangman/Claudio was a good opener, and Joe's promo was execllent, but the two random-character select button 8-mans didn't exactly do it for me, and the main event was just difficult to watch when the focus wasn't on Take and Allin. I'm not sure what kind of person you have to be to be excited at the prospect of the Young Bucks retiring Sting. I'll keep an open mind, but man, I was hoping for something more meaningful."
[9.0] "An absolutely fantastic show, one of the best AEW has done in a long time with no continental classic matches on it, a white hot opener with two top tier talents, an extremely fun tv 8 man tag, a fantastic promo from samoa joe resetting really the only main issue aew has had constantly with the world title scene, restablishing the title as something people should be gunning for, setting up 2 future matches with two top tier talents, a fun match between two daily's place originals, another fun tv 8 woman tag, a good match in which the real star wins, but the job guy gets in some decent shit to make him not look like a complete geek but doesnt go on forever along with a much better promo establishing motives for the undisputed kingdom, and an awesome main event sting plunder match, that also sets up the perfect retirement match for sting against the bucks, a big gorilla thumbs up from me."
[8.0] "Great Dynamite show today, going to Daily's Place always feels good for AEW from time to time. First, I found the fight between Hangman and Claudio fantastic, they were given the necessary minutes to demonstrate why they are one of the best on the list of fighters in the company. The 8-man fight was normal, nothing out of this world, entertaining at times and at other times not so much, but for me it was correct at the level of execution. Lance Archer needs more TV minutes along with Jake Roberts, I find them both to be a great addition to the show. Sammy vs Ricky was strange, I feel like they rushed the ending or more than anything it was anticlimactic. I expected Starks to win, but oh well. The 8-woman fight was well entertained, they were given their correct minutes and each one had the prominence they deserved during the fight. Strong's fight does not need mentioning. The last fight was brutal, there were good spots between Sting and Darby, at one point I was scared with Sting falling completely to the floor, it was very painful to see, but I'm glad he's okay. The segments during the show were correct, with the exception of Samoa Joe's moment, it was a perfect promo with the rest of the opponents. For me it was a great program, with its cracks in the middle, but nothing serious. 8/10."
"A better than average AEW show, helped greatly by a much smaller venue. There was definite love coming from the crowd at Daily's, and you could see the wrestlers enjoying it. The Adam Page vs Claudio fight picked up towards the end, especially with the pop for Hangman's double buckshot lariat. Claudio's spinning schtick was trotted out way too early, but you go with what works. The Eight Man tag was messy, with Jake Roberts wandering around for a nostalgia hit from those old enough to remember the ancient past. Guevara and Starks also seemed unfocused, with the commentators explaining why Guevara won. Not a good sign. The women's Eight Woman tag was far better than expected, courtesy of the energy of Thunder Rosa, Statlander and a sudden burst of fury from Skye Blue. Definite push for Anna Jay. Roderick Strong vs Brian Keith was fine, being used to build Strong as more of a heel, with Adam Cole selling him hard on the mic. The final Tornado Tag with Darby Allin/Sting taking on Takeshita and Powerhouse Hobbs was great. Ric Flair stumbling into the ring to slap Powerhouse seemed very odd and misconstrued, but at least Flair got out of the ring without serious injury."
[8.0] "I enjoyed the show overall tonight and I really love Daily's place as a venue for AEW because it just feels right. Hangman vs. Claudio was a really fun opening match and the crowd was really hot for it. 8 man mens tag was also a very fun match. It kind of reminded me of a house show match but I mean that as a compliment as they did all the fun spots that popped the live crowd. Main event tornado tag was fucking nuts and the finish was scary as shit but also awesome. I can't give this show a perfect score because it wasn't perfect. Sammy Guevara vs. Ricky Starks was a complete nothing of a match (crowd barely cared about it) and Jericho on this show is a HUGE fucking negative at this point. I don't wanna see him on my TV ever again. Please stop trotting him out. Also, I'm not a fan of Stings last match being with the Young Bucks. I'd rather him wrestle Darby one on one and have Sting pass the torch to Darby. So yeah, outside of those complaints, I liked the show."
[5.0] "A really hit and miss episode that showed both the best and worst of what AEW has to offer. Hangman and Claudio had a mid-off to start things out before moving to an awful 8-man tag match. Guevara and Starks were on their way to a good match before Sammy injured him (and seemed to take a few receipts for it). The Eight Woman tag match was good. It was a nice welcome back for Thunder Rosa and everyone got a chance to shine. I liked Anna Jay picking up the submission win. Roddy vs Bryan Keith was good for what it was too. The main event was incredible. I've given Tony shit a lot for his booking but he's always done a great job showcasing Sting and putting him in the ring with the right people. Definite match of the night. At the end we get Tony Schiavone ask Sting who his final opponent is going to be. Music hits. It's the Bucks. I can't possibly think of a less deserving group of people to retire Sting than them. I have no interest in that match now. The Bucks can and should just go away."
