Sammy wirkt wie der letzte Idiot auf Erden. Im Anschluss gibt es ein nettes Backstage Interview mit Garcia und Daddy Magic, das natürlich in Richtung House of Black zielt. Soho vs. Shafir war zum Glück nur 5 Minuten lang, denn hier hat wenig funktioniert. Die Backstage Promo der Don Callis Family war solide, wirklich packen konnte mich das aber nicht. Das Backstage Segment mit Willow, Statlander und Stokeley war interessant. Ein Match der beiden Damen klingt vielversprechend. Yuta vs. Sydal war ein bisschen enttäuschend, da ich dieser Kombination in knapp 10 Minuten mehr zugetraut hätte. Nach dem Match erscheint Danhausen und bekommt von Yuta eine auf die Mütze. Hook macht den Safe. Das ist alles passabel für eine Fehde zwischen Hook und Yuta. Der Main Event war gut und rettet eine sonst eher schwächere Ausgabe von Rampage. Andretti und Top Flight beweisen ein weiteres Mal, dass sie für AEW eins der Top Trios sein könnten. |

Die beiden haben überhaupt nicht zusammen gefunden und damit keine Chemie im Ring geschaffen. Das muss man leider als wirklich schwach einstufen. Da hätte Ruby wohl mal mehr machen müssen. Yuta gegen Sydal hingegen fand ich vollkommen ok. Das war ein nettes Match. Schöner Stilclash hier. MOTN ist aber der Main Event. Das war ein solides Trios Match. Ich hatte aber den Eindruck das da beide Teams noch im Schongang waren und das Ganze noch viel besser hätte sein können. Ein wenig verschenktes Potenzial vielleicht und ich hoffe das Match kommt nochmal ein einer Show. |

Das Aftermath nach Yuta vs. Sydal war okay. Der Opener zw. Ruby und Marina Shafir war auch okay, aber nichts was man gesehen haben muss. Ruby konnte mal wieder gewinnen. Das ist das wichtigste was man daraus mitnehmen kann. Ansonsten gab es noch ein Segment mit Jericho und Sammy, welches in Ordnung war. Cool finde ich die Ansetzung von Kris Statlander vs. Willow Nightingale für Worlds End per Segment. Die Promo von Daniel Garcia und Matt Menard gegen das House of Black passt, nach der Attacke bei Collision. Die Heels rund um die Don Callis Family und Big Bill, sowie Ricky Starks durften auch nochmal kurze Promos zum Aufbau des 8-Man Tag Team Matches halten. |

Guevara is arguably the least interesting option to replace Omega for Jericho (not even getting into the downgrade in talent from Omega to Guevara) and after three years+ of it, I am immensely tired of the sit downs with Jericho. Shafir/Ruby was not much to write home about. Yuta and Sydal was technically fine but completely flat for reasons including but not limited to Sydal being a career loser in AEW for the better part of 2-3 years unless either on YouTube or the paywalled ROH show despite being a talented worker so there was zero drama for a title change. In addition, Yuta has become one of the most overpushed acts by Tony within AEW. The main event while technically fine would not have felt out of place closing an episode of Dark several months ago. Top Flight getting the win was nice but the match was hardly must see especially in comparison to some of the trios matches of recent weeks in a company that also overdoes trios matches. I have generally enjoyed Rampage in recent months but this was a miss for me both as a standalone show and especially as a go home show for the final PPV of the year. |
