4813.11.2023Nevermore428.0This was a fun episode. We opened with MJF defending his World Title against Daniel Garcia in a very fun match. Garcia is really coming into his own lately. Darby Allin and Sting then squashed the Outrunners, in a match that accomplished nothing. We then got the Match of the Night between Swerve Strickland and Penta El Zero Miedo. After that, we got some big meaty men slapping meat as Samoa Joe defended his ROH Television Title against Keith Lee. The Gunns then squashed the Bollywood Boyz for reasons. Julia Hart then faced Red Velvet in a pretty good match. I had forgotten that Velvet existed, so this was a good reminder of her. Finally Jay White and Mark Briscoe faced off in an excellent match.

5112.11.2023GerryGerret8.0This was the best Dynamite episode in months and months. Like others, I have been pretty down on AEW. The WWE Dinner Theater has been pretty unbearable. While I don't believe AEW has really ever had compelling booking, what made Dynamite so entertaining was that it followed a simple formula of having great matches and great promos without a lot of nonsense angles or bad soap opera dialog segments. Outside of the MJF stuff at the beginning, I thought this episode followed that simple formula. The Pentagon Jr. match was great, the post match with Hangman page got me really hyped to see the rematch, Julia Hart vs. Red Velvet over delivered, and Mark Briscoe vs. Jay White over delivered as well (the booking made no sense, but see my previous point).
5212.11.2023Wrestling Forever 9.0Eine insgesamt sehr gute Dynamite Folge. Das Main Event wurde mein Match of the Night. AEW Dynamite #214, 9 fantastische Punkte.
5312.11.2023RoseySplash975.0There's so much in AEW not to like at the moment. MJF's work at the top of the card is not interesting and I'm not quite sure who could care about this whole angle with 'The Devil'. While most of the in-ring work here was between fine and pretty good, that is pulled down by this interminably awful Toni Storm rubbish.
5412.11.2023CGNRavens7.0They were some things I didn't enjoy and found quite funny, for example Max' want to see DG as a pro-wrestler when he's the one who isn't a pro-wrestler for months now with his WWE shtick, however the match was pretty good and I absolutely enjoyed it. Samoa Joe versus Keith Lee was even better and right up my ally with these two beefy boys squaring off. Swerve/Penta and Jay/Briscoe round off a very good episode of Dynamite this week. While I didn't like the whole Toni stuff, Red Velvet were definitely improved since she was on TV the last time.

5911.11.2023MaveDeltzer5.0The matches on this episode are all completely fine, averaging somewhere in that "Satisfactory" range, but there's just little reason to care about them even if in the long term they add a little to PPV build. This episode keeps things floating along towards Full Gear but two hours of just fine matches burned me out. I don't think I'd call it a bad episode, just kind of perfunctory.

6311.11.2023danzitorock6.0Didn't liked this show so much besides the post-angle of the main event. Didn't clicked for me at all. People hated heavily on last week's show and I thought this was even worse a lot of times... This show only had a better booking (not so better) and an amazing cliffhanger at the end. Other than that, didn't even feel like a Dynamite sometimes, very slow and disjointed.

8710.11.2023Kobes0898.0Very good show tonight that was reminiscent of the old Dynamite but still with their newer production and story progression. They continue to build every character and matches leading into full gear. The Elite breakup tease and the mental breakdown down of hangman coming. The title matches we knew who were going to win but that doesnt matter, Garcia got put over by being in the match and proving hes not just an entertainer and wants to wrestle and be watched. The story with MJF and the acclaimed and Joe and the Kingdom/Adamcole I mean it continues during the show. It feels like wrestling tv we keep coming back to what happening in the world title story or MJF story every so often reminding us what the main point of the show is and it leads up to at the end the masked men attack max caster sending a message to MJF because MJF said he thought Caster was cool (paraphrasing) on Collision. They threw Caster threw a Glass case and MJF immediately runs back there to help and the show ends with the devil mask. Very entertaining all the way through the show. The Joe segment had me confused but it makes sense. Joe cant lose the belt but hes focusing on aew main roster and the world title so hes going to vacate that title so he doesnt need to worry about defending it. Again every story and new character being developed and grown each week, Julia hart, nightingale and Skye blue story is the easiest example.

9010.11.2023strouse6.0There wasn't much transformative on this show at all, a few decent matches and some meh segments. Storylines have progressed about as far as they're going to heading into Full Gear so here's a moving belt episode of Dynamite. Hangman finally getting some heat was nice and the last couple minutes were pretty good as well, but you've also got some real puzzling moments like Joe vacating the ROH TV Title for no reason that makes sense in kayfabe (he's already challenged, and won, other titles as ROH TV Champ, why is it different now). Just all together felt really skippable but is okay for background noise.

9310.11.2023ParkwayDriver6.0A show made better by the in ring and some intrigue surrounding MJF but not without issues. I really hated the way that Joe vacated the ROH TV title despite wrestling as it throughout both Owens tournaments, two losses to Punk, and a loss to MJF already while still champion. A means to the end of solely getting Joe the longest title reign under AEWs ownership despite an underwhelming title reign. The wrestler was largely enjoyable with Strickland/Penta being my MOTN and a good opener/main event. The womens division continues to falter with Red Velvet being coldly thrown out in her return match in a loss to Julia while Skye Blue continues her heel/face turns. 6.5 leaned down.

10009.11.2023Fusionman5.0The matches keep this show from being a 4 or lower but the stories on this show are a mess and need to be fixed before the TV gets worse. Why does Samoa Joe have to vacate his title when he challenged MJF a month ago while being ROH TV Champion? Why can MJF focus on being ROH Tag Champion and AEW World Champion but Joe can't be double champ? Why are the Bucks being booked as absolute manchildren? Why should we care if Kenny and Jericho ever team again when they likely were never teaming again after the Callis feud anyway. The "Golden Jets" was a tag team formed out of necessity and convenience because both were being attacked by Callis Family. They likely were never teaming again. Why are they mad at Hangman for wanting revenge for his family when Matt or Nick would do the same for their wives? Nothing's moving forward in the Devil mystery and are we supposed to assume there's 2 Devils or why did the Devil move from attacking people who threaten MJF to attacking people who help MJF? Why not have MJF defend the title after Joe's vacation of the ROH TV Title so MJF can respond to the challenge? The matches are strong but these are arguably the worst angles in AEW history and Swerve/Hangman is not nearly hot enough to cover for the weaknesses all over the program.
