[7.0] "This was actually a pretty solid smackdown and I feel like this was better than the previous , the best match was Dragon Lee Axiom , it was a great athletic showcase of both men , Dragon Lee heavily impressed me , as did Axiom , who has been great in nxt and will be a good luchador when he ges called up. Good spots , and the crowd got behind the match at the end so that was nice to see. My least favorite match was Grayson Waller vs Cameron Grimes , poor Grimes cant get a break from losing , it's sad to see how far he has fallen from nxt. The match deserved a little more time , Grayson did have some good heel work though. My favorite promo was Santos Escobar explaining why he attacked Rey , it was a nice promo and showcased how good of a heel he can be. Zelina coming out and slapping Santos was also a nice moment to add more fire to the feud. Match ratings Triple Threat tag 7/10 , Dragon vs Axiom 8/10 , Grayson vs Grimes 6/10 , La vs Jimmy 8/10."
[7.0] "Hyping up the rating a bit for this one due to the amazing banger Dragon Lee vs Axiom was. A true historic event for Spanish Wrestling seeing Axiom debuting on the Main Roster and putting a hell of a performance against the future of Lucha Libre. The show was ok, with some low points like the recurrent Jimmy Uso vs LA Knight match that, while they're not bad, it doesn't bring anything to the table but just keeping the momentum of LA Knight going on. I like the whole thing with Damage CTRL, how they're clearly leaving Bayley behind as their leader and how Io is gaining more power. It was clear that WarGames needed some big name to be on the Face team, and neither Zelina or Mia Yim are big names at the moment or they're have been feuding with Damage CTRL recently, so Becky was the wildcard choice. At least they tried to justify her being in the match despite being from RAW, as Damage CTRL layed waste on both girls who were being recruited by Bianca. But it's so ridiculous how Becky was in town, ready to be called by Charlotte. The same thing can be said for Cody Rhodes presence in this show. Why? He was seen talking to Nick Aldis in a backstage segment and then he saves LA Knight, but why was he on SmackDown? I hope they answer that. It's sad how Cameron Grimes is being booked. I'm not talking about making the guy a main eventer, but that man had a great character in NXT that put him really over. He just needs segments reflecting his gimmick in some goofy situations for the people to connect with him, not being thrown to job to Grayson Waller and Austin Theory each time they don't know what to do with those two. I nearly forgot about the Tag Team match, it was a nice opener, although it could be a lot better, but the main thing is the Street Profits don't have a chance to win the titles, that's crystal clear, so I can't take this match seriously enough to care about it. I hope the match delivers, at least. And about Santos Escobar segment, I have some issues with it, mainly because everything went too fast. We went from Santos being like a brother to Rey, to two days later assaulting him and showing envy towards Carlito, and one week after he wishes Rey to have his leg amputated. I wasn't convinced by Santos acting at some points, but later he delivered some intensity, and I liked how he dismantled the little that was left from Legado del Fantasma (the sad part of this, that was a cool stable in its NXT days). I felt everything too rushed to be convinced about what Santos was saying. It was overall a fun show, there were no boring moments, a banger of a match, a nice opener and a just ok match, with some entertaining segments, although the booking could improve a lot."
[6.0] "I think this was satisfactory, not really anything super great though. The match of the night was clearly the Axiom vs Dragon Lee match which was quite good and everything else was just kind of meh to be honest. I will applaud the show for having 3 matches around 10 minutes though"
[7.0] "Usually, Friday Night Smackdown is an average show at best, but this one was better. Most of the segments made sense and served a purpose. It still had its ups and downs, but overall, it was entertaining. The opening segment was chaotic (in a good way). The final segment helped with the build-up for WarGames. But there is a huge one: as much as I love Becky Lynch, it was obvious that WWE would choose her for this match. I hoped it'd be Zelina Vega. When you look at the Smackdown roster, you can see that the Women's division is pretty thin. The night's first match was enjoyable, even if it showed nothing extraordinary. All three of the teams are great performers, and they put on a show. I'd have loved it if they got a few more minutes. Santos' promo was awesome! He's much better as a heel than a face. I loved his passion and went out after everyone, including his Legado De Fantasma friends. His future is indeed bright. The match between Dragon Lee & Axiom was the show's highlight. Both Superstars looked terrific; It was thrilling, energetic, entertaining, and so much fun. They should have gotten more time to show their skills and have plenty of it. I hope it's the first of many matches like this. WWE made the right call having Dragon Lee on the main roster. If you call it that, the match between Grayson Waller & Cameron Grimes was needless. It served absolutely no purpose. The Heyman promo & main event were okay, nothing more, nothing less. I'm tired of the Bloodline story and can't wait for it to end. LA Knight deserves a better story and a title run, not meaningless matches over and over again with Roman's henchmen. Bringing Road-Dogg as the guest color commentator was a steep step down from last week with KO. If Corey Greaves is going to miss substantial time, I hope they give the chance to someone who can elevate the broadcast."
[6.0] "alright we saw a good Tag Team Match initially, and then a very exciting match between Lee and Axiom, but a boring and pointless main event. Santos promo was fire, and I was shocked by what he just said to Rey who used to be his mentor and a his close friend! Heyman's promo was okay, but I didn't understand Solo's presence there! they were advertising him like something special is going to happen, but we didn't seen anything important. the build up for Women's match was okay, but could've been a bit better than that. show wasn't bad at all, but just average."
[8.0] "Good episode of Smackdown with some good matches and good segments like Becky Lynch being revealed as the fourth member on Team Bianca at Survivor Series WarGames. Angelo Dawkins & Montez Ford vs Butch & Ridge Holland vs Elton Prince & Kit Wilson: Decent tag team match with all three teams bringing their unique style to the match and Street Profits winning was okay, Brawling Brutes teasing dissension post match was interesting to see [***1/4]. Dragon Lee vs Axiom: A great high flying lucha libre style match between two great high flying wrestlers [****]. Grayson Waller vs Cameron Grimes: A short match that wasn't really needed on the show to be honest [DUD]. LA Knight vs Jimmy Uso: A decent main event, with LA Knight gaining momentum after his loss at Crown Jewel which is good to see, where this leads from here in regards to the storyline is piquing my interest [***]"
[8.0] "A pretty good weekly episode, the truth is that I came to see the debut of AXIOM in the main roster, but I stayed watching the whole episode after so long without seeing one, so nothing, good show to continue stories for Survivor Series, where I hope this event is good because it is one of those events that has many years and deserves something worthy. For the rest, fights that are pretty good, although the Grimes vs. Waller one seemed pretty meh to me, both for the time and for that denouement and the LWO story I like, but I don't see some great performances honestly, making poor and not very believable what happens there. Lastly, The Bloodline needs to end. Please."
[8.0] "Surprisingly strong episode of a show that usually isn't entertaining to me. The triple threat and Axiom's match were both great TV matches, and nearly every promo was exciting, sans LA Knight's strange rhyming. Santos finally got some character with his heel turn and cut an excellent promo against Rey, and turned the middling LWO stuff into more compelling drama on the strength of his character alone in a single segment. Back half of the show was worse than the front. Knight is over, but his promos are just awkward outside of the catchphrases. Doing The Rock's schtick is fine, but the guy was actually funny. Natural charisma played a part in it, but you can't just coast off that. I don't know how much longer Knight is going to be in this position if he continues to flounder and get reactions solely through good will instead of the strength of the promo. Besides that, I was impressed that this episode had a throughline, a rarity for Smackdown. The build to the women's wargames match through the night got me invested."
[7.0] "Although there weren't any women's matches on the show, the Damage CTRL angle was the main story of the show, and if you didn't think they were going to turn on Bayley soon, that suggestion was driven further home here. I did wonder though how Becky Lynch was able to get to the venue so quickly though in kayfabe, if the implication was that Charlotte Flair had to call her late on because Damage CTRL had taken out their other options. Everything else was decent, with Dragon Lee vs. Axiom being very good."
[9.0] "Awesome show this week mostly carried by its promos. Santos cut one of the best heel promos of 2023 that was just so blunt, cold and brutal. Later Heyman tried to one up with an insane promo of his own that really put Solo over huge. On top of that we had Axiom making his main roster debut in spectacular fashion, he is one of my favourite wrestlers today so I was extremely happy that he got to show out so hard vs Dragon Lee in what felt like one of the AEW Lucha matches but without all the talent phoning it in. I had a great time, LA Knight and Cody tease is interesting as well along with the Damage CTRL stuff. Best smackdown in a while for me"
[4.0] "That was one of the weaker episodes of Smackdown. I like the direction were they are going with Damage CTRL. A lot of potential here. The teaser with Cody backstage was nicd. Besides that not much really intresting happend this week."
[5.0] "Smackdown's booking of the men's division has been less and less consistant in the last few months, and with the focus mainly put on Raw heading to the Survivor Series, this was a mediocre episode of Smackdown. Champions are absent for contract reasons, fan favorites are injured (Sheamus, Mysterio), and even those who could be here at the Survivor Series seem to be put on the shelf (Owens, Lashley, Styles...). We could've at least expected one Traditional Elimination Tag Team Match to showcase Smackdown stars. There were still some good things in this episode with the Dragon Lee vs Axiom exhibition, the development around Santos Escobar and the announcement of the women's War Games Match. But I was expecting more."
[5.0] "This was mid, nothing special, no World or US champion of course since the betls are on part timers. I don't understand why The Brawling Brutes were into the number one contenders match since they literally lost their last match on Smackdown two weeks ago against Pretty Deadly, I know they were there to take the pin but kayfabe wise it made no sense to give losers a chance for the golds, but it seems like a norm in both WWE and AEW for whatever reason. Dragon Lee vs Axiom was a nice little match, I'm curious to see what they will do with Dragon Lee in the next few months. Santos Escobar's promo was good, he works so much better as a heel, I hope to see him with his new stable at Survivor Series, I wonder if they will reunite Legado Del Fantasma or bring in some new faces. I have absolutely no interest in the WarGames match despite being a huge fan of multiple women in it since it will end up the same boring way it always does when it involves Charlotte and Bianca Belair, they will overcome the whole heel team like terminators, no sell, Becky will make her opponents look good, Shotzi will be the weak link of the face team and the heels will look like massive geeks like always since they are never booked to have the upper hand more than 15 seconds with either IYO getting pinned by her next challenger or Bayley getting pinned and then kicked out of her own stable like the more than obvious teasing we have been getting for the last few weeks/months. I'm curious to see how the tag titles match goes next week since it will be heels vs heels."
