[7.0] "This was a good smackdown , and a nice edition to tribute of the troops , some good matches and solid story progression. The worst match was Charlotte vs Asuka , which is kind of shocking because in 2018 these two were stealing the show at wrestlemania. These two are some of the best workers wwe has , and it's surprising to see them put on such a underwhelming and short match. Bayley interfering at the end was the only highlight , as it furthered the damage ctrl story. The best match was La and Randy vs Jimmy and Solo , it was a solid match with top stars , and Randy stealing La Knights pin was a good early build to the fatal four way. The best promo was Cm Punk , he finally gave a little bit of heat to some potential storylines he can do , and came off as more natural than his raw promo , very good promo but one can't expect anything less when Cm Punk has a mic. Match ratings : Santos vs Dragon 7/10 , Bobby vs Kross 8/10 , Asuka vs Charlotte 6/10 , La and Randy vs The Bloodline 8/10."

[6.0] "Great show that balanced meaningful matches with interesting promos. The star of the show was undeniably CM Punk, who cut a fantastic promo and interacted with some of the biggest stars on the roste, planting the seeds for what could be some really tasty feuds."

[5.0] "CM Punk saved this from probably being the worst show of the year. The typical American self-indulgence festival of every year, this time mixed with the very surface of the ongoing SmackDown stories. A brief evolution in the Bayley story within Damage CTRL, helping Asuka to get the W, LA Knight and Randy Orton in their battle against the Bloodline with a fun dynamic of tense respect between them, and the US Title tournament. Matches were really poor, top to bottom. Santos vs Dragon Lee was the best, but it's way far of what those two could actually deliver. CM Punk was the only great thing here. Man, I just love how hypocrite he is, and I do because he is amazing on the mic and has that huge security in himself that builds his charisma. The promo was not as spicy as we could expect from him, he really contained himself, or the people in the back are holding him back a little bit, but he delivered some fanservice shots to The Elite, Roman and Seth. I was hoping Gunther would win the Royal Rumble and take the World Title at WrestleMania, but I need to see that Punk vs Rollins right there, and I don't want Cody to win the Rumble again. A very lame and lazy show right here, and laziness is becoming so recurrent as of lately. They just go for what they know it works, but they don't push forward to deliver something better."

[4.0] "God this show suuuuuucked. Matches ranged from boring to bad. The Cm Punk promo was much better than the one on raw at least. Street Profits and bobby lashely storyline is going literraly nowhere. outside of their mania 34 match Asuka and Charlotte have negative chemistry. Boring and bland show like every other friday."

[4.0] "A very bland, dry wrestling show. The CM Punk promo and a Brad Nessler sighting were the highlights. This wouldn't be a match you'd pick out to see quality wrestling. The main event was basically a Randy Orton house show special. The promotion is doing a good job of getting building some depth at the top of the card."

[4.0] "If it wasn't for Punk, this would've been probably my lowest rating for an event ever, even worse than that awful RAW after Mania. The matches were completely boring and horrible in general, they didn't had any cool sequences or moments, only at the main event the crowd reacted for something because of the popularity of the wrestlers. The USA adulation and moments of patriotism are completely uninteresting and corny for me because I'm not american, so didn't had any interest on those long homages. Cody utilization was useless, so it was a terrible first hour, but the second hour was pretty interesting because of Punk, incredible promo and amazing interactions on the backstage."

[5.0] "Not watched Smackdown for a while but tuned in to see what CM Punk brings to the show. Can't say I feel like I've missed all that much if this episode is indicative of the match quality. Nothing better than a 6/10 for me and it's a struggle to find the matches between all the ads and video packages."

[7.0] "Show was weak from a Wrestling perspective, but very solid on storytelling. Everything CM Punk here was great, we got a bunch of different teases and plenty of reason to stay invested if he joins smackdown. The US Title contender tournament is a good way to fill space to another Logan Paul match. The Damage Control/Bayley storyline is coming along nicely and is hopefully leading to a sasha banks return (but I wont get my hopes up)"

[5.0] "for the third time in a row, I'm giving a 5 to the Smackdown show. that means the match quality has been dropped significantly, that if you remove the promos from the show, you'll fall asleep. CM PUNK promo was great and was the only good spot of the show, and if we hadn't had him in the show, I would've given 3 to this."

[7.0] "The length and the promos of this weekly show is what makes it have this rating, because in terms of wrestling honestly leaves a little to be desired, still, good Tribute of the Troops that in this edition was made by the SmackDown show and was not bad as I said before."

[5.0] "This week's show was highly disappointing. I can't believe I'm writing it, but CM Punk's promo was the best part of the show. The in-ring action was mediocre at best; too many "Tribute to the Troops" segments hurt the show's flow and "stole" the time from some of the matches."

[7.0] "Tribute to the Troops is a tougher one to rate. The matches outside of the main event were not great. Asuka v Flair had potential to be a good match, but Charlotte got a knee injury early on. Punk cut a good promo and enjoyed Orton's backstage interactions with Aldis. Nessler was pretty good on commentary for a non-WWE commentator."

[4.0] "Nothing grabbed me aside from the Punk segments, so basically a standard Smackdown with whatever TV matches. Nothing "bad" but nothing truly compelling either. The "tournament" has an obvious conclusion, Roman doesn't show up to work, and what's worse about this episode than usual, you have to suffer through disgusting US military propaganda and jingoism. Smackdown needs a complete production overhaul from the top down because 2 hours of this should not feel like 6."

"aside of punk's promo, the show was actually really bland. no memorable matches, the whole tribute to the troops thing was very forgettable, with the highlights of the show being the segments and the la knight with randy orton vs. jimmy and solo sikoa. taking all that into consideration, you have a very forgettable show with few highlights."

[7.0] "That Punk promo was fantastic, and all the Punk backstage moments were great as well, the main even was also fun. However other than that the in ring wrestling was average, nothing much of substance. A good show but only the Punk parts are must see."

[8.0] "Reasonable show. I was there to see it live. Providence had a better audience than usual. There were 3 dark matches not (initially) included on this card: (before the show) Cedric Alexander & Ashante Adonis def. Pretty Deadly. (after the show) Intercontinental Championship: Chad Gable def. Gunther (c) by DQ Cody Rhodes def. Dominic Mysterio CM Punk, LA Knight, and Randy Orton were easily the best parts of the show, but was good for Tribute to the Troops"

[5.0] "Unfortunately, there is nothing to remember at this show other than the CM Punk promo. Absolutely passable show."

"--7.5 out of 10-- Much better than we got the last week, both in versions of SmackDown episode and CM Punk's promo who is more and more getting unhinged by the week, he does genuinely feel to be happy there, the shot at AEW was subtle and without much controversy, yet classy, he has his way with words. The main event is the only great match on here, but honestly, SmackDown is way past that wrestling yet sets up stories, and I feel that is a nice contrast to have, work-ethic wrestling on RAW, slow-burn drama on SmackDown, combining bits of two on NXT. Good show overall. I can't rate obviously yet."

[9.0] "Great Tribute to the troops. WWE superstars show a lot of respect for their soldiers. Cody Rhodes and CM Punk has done good promos, especially Punk. He presents the top wrestlers of the company, and the potential rivalries with them all. Good main event, with Randy and LA, the 2 top faces of Smackdown."

[6.0] "Usually these Tribute to the Troops shows are not my cup of tea but his show was solid with a couple of decent matches. The CM Punk promo was much better than his lame promo on Raw but still not on high level like used to from Punk."
