[7.0] "Penta El Zero Miedo vs. Komander vs. El Hijo del Vikingo - 7/10, Marina Shafir vs. Skye Blue - 4/10, Trent Beretta vs. Daniel Garcia - 7/10. This gives an average rating of 6/10. However, the squash match was quite good, with the Gunns showcasing good character work, and Sydal having a good athletic performance. The overall pacing of the event was also very well-constructed and snappy. That bumps this up to a 7/10. A very good episode of Rampage."
[7.0] "I watched this episode of AEW Rampage after watching Collision. Interestingly, this episode of Rampage was this week's standout AEW show. It was without a doubt the best show of the week. They did 2 great matches. Unfortunately, the women's match was not good."
[7.0] "This was a very good episode. We opened with the Match of the Night, as we got a three-way between El Hijo del Vikingo, Komander, and Penta El Zero Miedo. The slower pace and the pure lucha style seemed to have curbed Komander's botching for the moment, making for a very enjoyable match. The Gunns then competed in their second match in about 25 minutes, this time taking on Christopher Daniels and Matt Sydal. The match was fine. It was mostly just there to fill five minutes. We then saw Skye Blue take on Marina Shafir. It was a Shafir match, so it was slow paced and boring, and Blue wasn't experienced enough to elevate it. Finally, Daniel Garcia took on Trent Beretta in a very enjoyable match."
[6.0] "A largely easy show to watch although one I wasn't crazy about. Many will likely enjoy the opener more than I did and while I appreciate the effort of all involved it at times feels way too choreographed for me. Sydal and Daniels being losers to the teams that TK would rather push is sad to see. Marina Shafir is improving and her and Skye Blue had a fine match. Daniel Garcia needs some desperate creative rehab and a win over Trent is a step in the right direction if nothing else to start that a bit."
[7.0] "Rampage is now the A show. I have actually enjoyed them recently as it is nice way to spend a Saturday morning and all TV wrestling should be an hour. Everything was at least good. I even thought Paul Wight was good on commentary. Opening lucha match will probably be the best tv match of the week."
[7.0] "Never in my life I would think that one day I'd say that among the three Aew weekly TV shows, Rampage is the best one but here we are. Penta vs. Vikingo vs. Komander was a great opener. Full of crazy sequences and moments, props to all three men for their perfomances. I'm very happy that Penta picked up the win. Gunns vs. Sydal and Daniels was alright. Blue vs. Shafir was decent, nothing crazy but both women are showing lots of improvements. Garcia vs. Beretta was a very enjoyable main event. Garcia has won me over with his dance and Beretta is an extremely underrated wrestler. Garcia's post-match challenge to MJF hyped me a lot even if I'm still waiting for Garcia to say that he is a pro wrestler. Overall: Rampage, unlike the others Aew shows as of late, is booked with sense and it's very fun to watch. I hope they can keep up with these good shows."
[7.0] "Very easy to watch, all the matches were entertaining, and the backstage segments that are playing out on Rampage weekly are some of my favorites. I enjoyed the Santana/Ortiz stuff, and now we have an ongoing thread with Ruby and Cool Hand (apparently playing into real life? ) that is loaded with sexual tension. Saraya seems to be pushing Ruby away, which can only be a good thing. Jarrett and co have a fun little smack talking session. The opener was lucha fun, with Penta keeping everything more grounded and some gnarly counters get played out all around. I'm one of the only people probably happy to see more of Marina getting time, but idc. The Gunns match was fine, and Garcia was pleasantly over in the main event. All of the matches were basically of the "random" type, but played at least subtly into progressing character work."
[8.0] "Apparently I'm not the only one who found Rampage to be the more entertaining AEW show this week (so far). Nice mix of in ring action tonight. If lucha matches aren't your thing so be it, but I like them for what they are and this offered a great, energetic change of pace. Sometimes, I don't think Shafir's skills translate all that well on TV--if you catch her at an indie show, I think you'll see what I mean--but tonight was a solid showing. Fun main event and I hope Garcia does get a bit of a singles push. He's long been very solid in ring and has developed the character aspect of his gimmick over the last year. Also, with so much of the comedy on this week's Dynamite being hit or miss, props to RJ City and Danhausen doing a hilarious bit that didn't overstay its welcome."
[8.0] "Really good Rampage tonight. Pretty often if Dynamite isn't too great, Rampage is better. Lucha match had a lot of great spots, and subtly showed the differences in all 3 men, Penta the powerful veteran, Vikingo the young sensation and Kommander the humble and gifted youngster. Gunns match was a showcase for them and a good win over top notch veterans. Skye vs. Marina had a lot of hard hitting sequences with a few miscues, but constant growth for both of them. Main event was excellent and a good course correction for Garcia. I do wanna see Trent get some wins eventually."
[8.0] "Another odd week where your AEW Rampage is actually far better than Dynamite, a fantastic lucha 3 way opener with just some of the usual crazy luchador shit you've came to expect, an okay tag match but more just setting the gunns up, the gunns have became very enjoyable tv wrestlers in 2023, a fine match between Marina Shafir and Skye Blue, Marina is THIS CLOSE to finally clicking on all cylinders and Skye Blue too has became a far better wrestler than she first was, and the main event was an absolutely great match between Garcia and Trent, Garcia especially has just became so much more of a rounded professional wrestler, the look, the presence, the aura he has now compared to when he first debuted as a meek shy little dude to now is crazy."
