[7.0] "Mid undercard, 2 pretty fun tournament matches and a pretty good main event, this was a mixed bag, but the good things on the show make me forget the bad"
[5.0] "Momentum has largely slipped away from the tournament at this point but the tournament matches themselves weren't horrible. I wouldn't call any of them "Must see", either, but if you're interested in either of the main event teams, there's a little bit of development there."
[6.0] "This was a very middle of the road event that easily had the worst preliminary matches making it very hard to get into the show for a while. The actual tournament matches were mostly good aside from the House of Torture match that is expected to be a slog."
[6.0] "All kinds of normal show: one or two legit abortions but luckly also some decent encounters and a very good one in the end. Obviously the Road to - show part sucked while the Super Junior tag team league one was good, I have seen worse from this tour. ***1/4"
[8.0] "Hiroyoshi Tenzan, Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma vs Boltin Oleg, Oskar Leube & Yuto Nakashima: Better than the opening match two nights earlier (Togi Makabe & Tomoaki Honma vs Oskar Leube & Yuto Nakashima), the crowd was more into this match [**]. Ren Narita & Shota Umino vs Callum Newman & Great O-Khan: Just like the opening match, this match was better than their previous one two nights earlier, I thoroughly enjoyed it, Shota Umino using his version of the Hidden Blade was cool to see and I like how it's sending a message to Will Ospreay ahead of their title match at Power Struggle [***1/4]. Tomohiro Ishii, Toru Yano & YOSHI-HASHI vs Dick Togo, EVIL & Yujiro Takahashi: Not a good match, why do the HOT have to bring their shenanigan tactics to every match, weakest non tournament match of the show [*]. Francesco Akira & TJP vs Ryusuke Taguchi & The DKC: Nice match to get the tournament matches started on this show, both teams put on a good showing and Catch 22 winning was the right choice [***3/4]. DOUKI & TAKA Michinoku vs MUSASHI & YOH: Another good match, MUSASHI & YOH continue to work well together and it showed here even in defeat, DOUKI and TAKA Michinoku finally was able to win a match in the tournament which was good to see and some nice near falls as well [***1/4]. Kosei Fujita & Robbie Eagles vs SHO & Yoshinobu Kanemaru: For the most part this match was decent, but towards the end when the referee went down and the rest of HOT interfered ruined it, the ending sequence was good when Kanemaru spat the whisky in the face of SHO instead of Eagles and that was the final nail in the coffin for HOT in this match [**1/2]. BUSHI & Titan vs Kevin Knight & KUSHIDA: On paper this match sounds like it could be great and it did deliver but could have had more time and this match could have been better, but still recommend, BUSHI picking up the win was surprising [***3/4]. El Desperado & Master Wato vs Clark Connors & Drilla Moloney: Really good main event, even with the chairs being brought into play, the quality of the match made up for it, another loss for the IWGP Junior Heavyweight Tag Team champions Connors & Moloney which at this stage of the tournament makes for interesting watching, MOTN [****1/4]"
[6.0] "It can be hard to rate a show like this. The tournament matches were good to excellent with the main event having a great finish but this promotion has way too much heel heat. The HOT was awful when it first started and it hasn't got any better and while more than one matches features their nonsense they will continue to sour these shows. While the main event was enhanced in this case by the finish it could have easily gone the other way. Gedo really needs to look at his booking and adjust it for the modern era what worked 40 years ago in wrestling will not always work especially in an age and in a promotion where people want to see the best wrestling in the world."
