[5.0] "An extremely middling show, with only one somewhat good match, everything else being mostly just decent, and unfortunately one of the worst Dream Gate matches I can remember. The opening 6-man tag was fun, with good energy and intensity all around as everyone mostly just ran through their set signature stuff without going for any real match story (aside from the overarching story of Minoura trying to finally end his losing streak). It notably improved in the final 1/3rd as everyone picked up their pace and explosiveness even further. ***. Shimizu & Owashi vs Kai & Ishin was pretty damn worthless. Z-Brats did their usual scummy beatdown work without any intensity, and then Shimizu carried his and Owashi's brief comeback to a mediocre level before Ishin caused the DQ finish. Why even include a match like this on a major show FFS? *1/2. The 8-man tag was another typically story-less exhibition-type match where all 8 guys showed off their signature stuff and maybe a slight bit more with decent intensity, but with nothing else really holding it together. Nothing remotely spectacular but still a fun little match. **3/4. SMJ vs U-T was nothing special but definitely still decent and worked at a good pace. There was good aggression and power from SMJ against U-T's plucky underdog desperation and tricky agility, and it was quite fun seeing U-T himself become far more aggressive once he finally gained control. They had a few moments of underwhelming chemistry but never anything outright bad. The match picked up as they picked up their pace with their quicker trades and more convincing pin/submission attempts, and it was very unexpected but very cool to see U-T actually... GET A WIN FOR ONCE? ? ? Well, this was U-T's hometown plus SMJ needed to lose to tease a heel turn later in the night, but I'll still take it. ***. Alejandro & Kiyomiya vs Kid & Doi was a standard DG affair that starts with showcase stuff, moves into a brief heel-control period, a quick babyface comeback, and then both team trading big moves and near falls back and forth until the finish. Everyone had good technique, but the robotic and mindlessly predictable structure held it back quite a bit. At least it was a decent watch in terms of action. ***. Mante vs Valletta was straight up bad: one of the worst Dream Gate matches I can remember seeing. I've never been impressed by Mante's solo run anyways, but then Valletta took things down a whole other notch. The match was fine whenever Mante was able to just make Valletta the punching bag for all his aerial stunts, but that became more and more difficult with Valletta's sloppiness and lack of any athleticism rearing their heads. Valletta was just a waste on offence as well: lame scummy brawling and really underwhelming attempts at actual wrestling. They of course still stuffed in some totally undeserved 'epic' trades at the very end before ending with a lame 'flash' small-package. Not a disaster and technically still held together by a few threads, but definitely an insult as a major-title match. **. The 5-way Cage Match wasn't as crazy or wacky as DG's previous cage matches have been, and it didn't even have the most impressive or creative action, but there was a good helping of drama based around the various characters and their intertwining storylines that kept the match decently compelling for its 30-plus-minute length. Even with the pretty melodramatic acting, I enjoyed all the developments of Kamei and Hyo becoming more trusting in each other while Kamei and Kzy's own relationship frayed, as it felt believable that almost any grouping here could leave the match as either friends or enemies, which enhanced every interaction as a result, even with things like Kzy and Hyo interacting to seemingly tease a Kzy heel turn out of jealousy. The prop spots and multi-man spots were decent, but it was the escape spots and teases that were the most compelling, with their extended durations creating a tense atmosphere as you then had to quickly run through in your head all the many implications that would occur from whichever wrestler attempting to escape, with a nice cathartic feeling with the reveal when they'd ultimately either succeed or fail. This eventually finished with a nice babyface sendoff in the post-match despite Hyo's loss and head-shaving, and some interest in where all of Hyo, Kamei, Kzy/NV, and Jason go from here. Not like it had strong competition or was anywhere near a MOTYC, but easy MOTN for me. ***1/4"

[9.0] "I thought this show kicked ass. The main event rocked and gripped me. I like Mante vs Valetta more than everybody else. UT vs Strong Machine J gave a strong showing. I also liked the Don Fujii match. This felt like a spectacle of a show, it delivered on being a big wrestling show."

[6.0] "This was kind of a disappointing introductory show to Dragon Gate for me. Only two matches really felt like they were worth watching and the rest were either mediocre or bad. I loved the story going on in the main event though and it saved the show from mediocrity for me. [MOTN: Alejandro & Kaito Kiyomiya vs. Dragon Kid & Naruki Doi]"

[7.0] "This is a largely great show with a great main event, I do hate the Dream Gate match here which holds the show back for me"

[9.0] "You really oughta see the main event. Kamei has come into his own as the most over talent in the company, Jason Lee has more than proven himself to belong, Kzy shows no signs of slowing down, Shun remains the de-facto heel ace, and Hyo made sure to bring it as well. Only downside to this card is how they will proceed with Valletta. Unsure if he's going to lose a ton of steam after this or not. Minoura and Yamato's feud continues. The NOAH boys almost fit better here than in NOAH. All around very fun event."

[9.0] "Overall great show top to bottom. The only match that was lacking was the Dream Gate title match but thats why it was 3 from the end of the card. The twin gate match was an amazing match that showcased how good DK and Doi still are. The main event cage match was perfect, the amount of emotion and amazing storytelling is why DG continues to be my favorite promotion. How can you not be invested in this company with the story told in that cage? The post match was even better."
