[9.0] "Another great Smackdown, booking is crazy good. Rikishi/Austin angle has been far better than I ever could have guessed, loved Foley talking Rikishi down in the parking lot before he crushed JR's head. I am so happy also that William Regal is finally here."
[9.0] "Really strong episode of SmackDown as the go home show for No Mercy where a lot of stuff happened and everything is really well set up for the PPV and the Austin/Rikishi build has been excellent where Rikishi smashes up Austin's truck, Austin comes out and chases after a car speeding off only to reveal Rikishi wasn't in the car at all and he attacks JR and looks like he's going to hit him with the sledgehammer before Foley talks him out of it. Rikishi looked really vicious here and it also the first clue that Rikishi had an accomplice. Austin comes back later and interrupted a 6 man tag hitting everyone with a chair. Really didn't know what to expect from that No Holds Barred match at all. There was also a fun storyline with Steph's loyalty in the 4 corners main event, which was a really good preview match with the other two main events for the PPV. No Mercy looked like it was going to be a great show."

All of the angles were done really well here, especially the Rikishi/Austin one, Austin comes off as obsessed with wanting to get his hands on Rikishi and Rikishi is as vicious as ever. The main event was a excellent match to close the show with"
