[6.0] "This PPV has a couple of fun facts about it I wanted to share. First, at time of writing, (August 26th, 2025) it is the EARLIEST WWE PPV in which all competing wrestlers are still alive. At least one participant is dead in every single PPV prior to a late 2001 event. It is also the one and ONLY PPV under the original WWF (not WWE) banner where every participating wrestler is still alive. Once someone from this show passes away, there will not be a single WWF PPV in which all participants are still alive. Almost a little shocking to think about, right? In addition, it is the final time the old Big Blue steel cage is used! Finally, it is the last time that Stone Cold will walk into a PPV as WWF champion, defend it successfully, and leave as champion. He is at Survivor Series but doesn't defend, and defends against Kurt successfully at Vengeance but goes on to lose his final title run to Jericho. So a lot of historical moments here. Facts aside, this HAS to be in consideration for the best UK show of all time. While a lot of these matches are still wrestled a bit more casually, no one is phoning it in here either. Even the worst of matches is still pretty good, and there are some gems in there too! This might be the only WWF UK PPV that I can watch as a whole event with any regularity."

[5.0] "It was alright when it comes to the match quality, but everything felt like a throwaway with so many worthless titles. The opener was Edge's and Christian's best match against each other, Scotty vs Helms was a fun little bout, Big Show vs DDP was the next step in Dallas' burial and the Three Way Tag had APA in it for whatever reason, so the real match started when they got eliminated. Regal vs Tajiri would have been the match of the night if they were given more time, since they still did wonders with what they got here, Jericho vs Angle was good but the stakes felt non-existent with the WCW Title on the line and divas' Tag Match at least was short. The main event though was a disappointment and it went for so long that they couldn't even wake me up for the exciting finish that is usually included in Austin's matches. All in all the show wasn't bad, but once again the invasion is ruining the good impression of 2001."

[7.0] "Despite it being a glorified house show, this is still a decent PPV and with matches like Edge vs Christian, Kurt Angle vs Chris Jericho and especially Austin vs Rock, you know it's going to be a quality show even with the obvious results. Austin vs Rock is definitely the hidden gem in their outstanding rivalry and they leave everything in the ring. There are a few random matches here or there but it is an enjoyable watch overall."

They rarely went all out on either match quality or storyline, although given how poor the Invasion storyline was that was perhaps a blessing here. Not awful by any means, but no real standouts and no reason to watch apart from completism."

It also had the terrible Diamond Dallas Page vs Big Show and some other annoying angles and fillers. It's not perfect but it's solid enough for this type of event. Jericho vs Angle is good, Austin vs The Rock is great."

[6.0] "WWE Rebellion is not a show worthy of high praise, but its not a disaster either. It is not as consistently good as the previous month's No Mercy show, but one gets the feeling that the Manchester crowd was not disappointed. The two title matches are both better-than-average, though a few hairs short of being true classics. Big Show/DDP and the WCW Tag Team Championship matches are better than I expected they would be, with Tajiri/Regal not quite living up to what I believe they could have achieved. Sadly, what really hurts this show's overall rating is the irredeemable divas match and the Scotty Too Hotty/Hurricane match that almost seems designed to kill any momentum Helms had been building up in his gimmick. Overall, not a terrible show, but not one I am eager to revisit anytime soon."
