A passable, but not outstanding tag match follows, followed by the Heritage Cup match, which I frown upon and which suffers from far too many interferences. The last two matches of the show make up for it, are really good and seem conciliatory compared to the moody events before, even if not at the very highest level. |

Doch ich fang mal mit dem Opener an: Bron Breakker und Baron Corbin starten die Show super, aber hier muss es nach diesem Ende ein weiteres Match geben mit Stipulation. Am besten noch bei NXT's Deadline. Gespannt darauf wie es in dieser Fehde weitergehen wird (***1/4). Das NXT North American Championship Match war Schwach und ich finde Trick Williams ist noch einfach nicht bereit dazu einen Titel zu tragen, natürlich passt es zur Storyline, aber es musste jetzt nicht unbedingt sein. Das war für mich auch das schwächste Match an dieser Show (**). Das Fatal Four Way Match um die NXT Tag Team Championship's war sehr schön. Schöne Spots und hier hätten entweder die Creed Brothers oder Garza & Carrillo gewinnen müssen. Grade Carrillo und Garza haben mich mit ihrem neuen Auftreten echt überzeugt und das die beiden im Ring was drauf haben, dass weiß man ja. Stacks und D'Angelo können wir mich langsam die Titel verlieren, auch wenn ich sie mittlerweile echt gerne sehe, die frage ist halt nur dann: Was macht man mit ihnen nachdem sie ihre Championship's verlieren? Main Roster sind sie noch nicht bereit für und bei NXT gibt es jetzt nix was mich mit ihnen interessieren würde. Bin gespannt wann es soweit sein sollte (***3/4). Noam Dar vs. Butch um den NXT Heritage Cup war Solide. Ich fand hier wurde Noam Dar etwas "Zu stark" dargestellt. Wenn ich mich recht erinnern kann ist Dar sogar aus 2 Bitter End's ausgekickt, dass ist einfach zu viel und man schwächt den Finisher von Butch. Bin gespannt ob Butch nun wieder öfters bei NXT zusehen sein wird, nachdem Eingriff von Gallus gegen Tyler Bate und Ihn (***). Ilja Dragunov vs. Carmelo Hayes II war dann einfach absolute Wrestling Sahne! Die beiden haben einfach unglaublich gut miteinander arbeiten können und hauen nach ihrem letzten PLE Match noch einen Banger hin. Die beiden haben es einfach drauf und das Ilja am Ende dann noch zum Champion gekrönt wird ist einfach Das Dessert. Harte Arbeit zahlt sich aus, und das hat Dragunov hier definitiv bewiesen. Ich hoffe auf einen Langen und Verletzungsfreien Championship Run (*****). Main Event war dann leider absolut falsch gesetzt. Die Crowd war teilweise schon wirklich Tod und man merkte ihnen an das es irgendwann etwas schwieriger wurde. Becky Lynch vs. Tiffany Stratton Im Extreme Rules Match um den NXT Women's Championship, war absolut kein schlechtes Match, aber es stand halt im Schatten von Dragunov vs. Hayes. Lynch und Stratton versuchten wirklich viel, und es hat mir auch wirklich anfangs gut gefallen. Das mit den Puppen war Nice, aber mit dem Barbed Wire Baseball Bat? Was war das denn für ein Schwachsinn. Vorallem trifft Lynch, Stratton volle Lotte am Oberschenkel und die No-Selled einfach diesen Shot. Da merkte man das der Bat absolut Fake gewesen ist und das hat das match auch noch etwas kaputt gemacht. Bei der WWE passt sowas leider einfach nicht für das was sie stehen. Dann kann man sowas auch weglassen. Das Lynch hier verteidigt war zu erwarten (***3/4) insgesamt gebe ich der Show 7 Punkte. Es war wirklich inordnung was hier gezeigt wurde. NXT ist wieder auf dem richtigen Weg. Das erwähne ich zwar öfters in meinen Bewertungen, aber es ist auch einfach so. Es sind nur noch kleine Booking Entscheidungen die fehlen, aber das wird sich auch noch ändern. |

Bron vs. Corbin: as much as I hate Baron Corbin I have to admit that this was a good match and from what I remember the best I've ever seen from him (***1/2). Dom vs. Trick: a title change that I really didn't expect and took me by surprise (***1/4). NXT Tag Titles: further proof that the Creed Brothers are the best thing in the tag division since the NXT revamp, highlighted by the sensational spot with the four superplexes (***1/2). Dar vs. Butch: besides the fact that I didn't like the dynamics of the Heritage Cup matches, the ending was weird and this was the weakest match on the card (***). Melo vs. Dragunov: MOTN without a doubt, they managed to overcome the great match from the last PLE and delivered a classic with the right guy winning (****1/2). Becky vs. Tiff: good match between them and even though the previous match was overshadowed, they both still delivered a good main event, I still have the feeling that they should have returned the title to Tiffany and created a star making moment from that (****) |

Double main was strong with Ilja/Carmelo being match of the night. Tag title match was pretty good although it got a bit messy to me toward the end when rules were not really followed. Some of the booking felt like it got in the way of matches like Baron/Bron, Trick/Dominick, and Butch/Dar particularly in the form of distractions, referee shenanigans, and interference. Not a bad show by any means but one I did have a higher bar of expectation for. If Vengeance Day is the bottom for NXT PLEs this year I'd have this somewhere around Stand & Deliver and Great American Bash while Battleground has been the best NXT PLE this year with Decembers Deadline being the last for the year coming up. 7.5-8. |

The main event was entertaining, but some "weapons" were too much (Barbie dolls, really? ). In the end, the right superstar won. |
