Utami is back, better than ever; Syuri and Suzu had the match of the night; Nayu had another great match; and Giulia and Saori had a fantastic brawl. on the sad part, Saya's injury is terrible, hope she'll be back soon. Overall, a great night. |

Mariah May vs AZM: Good match, some close near falls, May winning was a surprise but a good surprise [**1/2]. Ami Sourei vs Natsuko Tora: Another short match that was enjoyable while it lasted [*]. Natsupoi vs Starlight Kid: A decent match that saw a fast paced start, and the ending moments were good especially the end fall [**3/4]. Utami Hayashishita vs Mina Shirakawa: Great back and forth match, enjoyed it, Hayashishita proving why she is one of the best in STARDOM, Hayashishita winning her opening match was the right choice [****]. MIRAI vs Momo Watanabe: A good hard-hitting match from both involved, Momo getting the win was the right choice and a great boost in momentum and a win against the Wonder Of Stardom champion should get her a title match after the tournament [***1/2]. Syuri vs Suzu Suzuki: Brilliant hard-hitting match, can't believe what they were able to do in 11 minutes that they were given, some brutal moments like the german suplex off the apron [****]. Hazuki vs Mayu Iwatani: Another hard-hitting match that the wrestlers involved did not let the pace go for any of the 13 minutes they had, some brutal moments like the DDT off the apron onto the ringside floor, the suplex to end the match looked insane [****]. Giulia vs Saori Anou: MOTN for me, both gave all they had and more in the 15 minute time limit, there were some brutal moments like the suplex off the ramp onto the chairs, Anou gave as good as she got to Giulia [****3/4]. Saya Kamitani vs Tam Nakano: This match was decent until the unfortunate early ending of what could have been a great main event, I hope that Kamitani will be alright [***1/4] |

| 21 | 02.08.2023 | ForeverHeel | 10.0 | Boh eh das 5Star GP fängt mit Tag 1 schon mal bock stark. Der Opener ging ganz fix, nichts viel was hervorheben konnte und ging over. May vs. AZM war schon In-Ring technisch anspruchsvoller. Die weitaus kleinere Azumi rackert sich wie Wild ein ab, aber nichts half May und verpasste ihr ein Tombstone Piledriver der Extraklasse und geht over. Tora vs. Sourei war solide für unter 5 Minuten. Ami macht sich gut in dem Match, obwohl erst nicht den Anschein macht. Die Blue Thunder Bomb geht durch, aber zeigt bei Tora kaum Wirkung. Tora mit den Nebel der Death Valley Driver Ami kick out Tora mit der Swanton Bomb und sie geht over. Natsupoi vs. SLK Technik trifft auf Allrounder das geht immer. Fast pace es gab keine Langeweile es war immer einen schneller Rhythmus beider Kontrahentin und Natsupoi geht over. Hayashishita vs. Shirakawa war gut. Nach meiner Meinung hatte Mina mehr zeigen können als Utami, weil das dingt nötig Mina gut aussehen zulassen und Utami geht over. Watanabe vs. Mirai war zwar gut, aber das Tempo raus genau was richtig war. Ja gibt es hier schreiben nur Mirai ein Lariat an Momo knallte das es wehtat. Momo griff mit Baseballschläger an selbst den wehrt Mirai mit Lariat ab, schade das durch die ganze Lariat Partie einer Mirai eine Watanabe over geht. Kommen wir zum MOTN + MOTY Ich sagte mir gleich schon "Das wird ein High Class Stiff Match". Bedeutet harte Chops, Kicks & Elbow Strikes. Das war so geil ich versuch mich so kann, also der German Suplax Spot vom Apron nach Draußen von Suzuki geht in die Hose. Syuri schmeißt Suzuki Schädelgenau in Turnbuckle rein, dann noch der Buzzsaw Kick hinterher und dann sah das One Winged Angel Drive Mischung und Syuri geht over. Iwatani vs. Hazuki und beide hielten die Show weiterhin aufrecht. Super Spots waren bei Mayu's Frogs Splash landete perfekt oder der erste Suicide Dive von Hazuki der schon übertrieben war und Iwatani geht mit den Dragon Suplex over. Giulia vs. Anou und mein zweitbestes Match des Abends. Erst war es so leichtes Abtasten, aber nach 3 Minuten ging es schon heiß her der Fisherman's Suplex von Anou ging voll in die Stühle rein. Dann sah ich bei Saori rechts am Ohr runter tropfen, ja die Gute hatte sich am Schädel verwundet. Giulia Antwortet mit Piledriver durch den Tisch, Double Arm Suplex auf Turnbuckle in Kombination mit den Falcon Arrow von Giulia Wahnsinns Spot. Der Glorious Driver von ging zwar durch von Giulia Time Limit Draw. Der Mainer hätte ein Instant Classic wären können, aber Kamitani ist verletzt. Fazit.: Megan Bayne hat nach Stardom geschafft. Man merkt das Utami in naher Zukunft ihr eigenes Stable bekommt. Eine Battle Royal müsse man machen, weil Saya zählte zu den Top 5 der Favoritin und gute gute Besserung Saya Kamitani und alle Saya Fans die dich mögen I LoVE U. |

The talents kept trying to one up the previous match which led to the unfortunate accident of Saya Kamitani jumping off the lighting post like shes Will Ospreay at Wrestle Kingdom. The wrestlers of Stardom do not need to be doing these high risk stunts off tall structures. Besides that my favorite show of the year so far in Stardom. This has blown away every G1 card in 2023 by a mile. |

The production values were especially impressive, oon their big events Stardom just never misses on this aspect lately. The matches were at worst serviciable, at best among the finiest wrestling you'll see this year in single matches. Even a short match like Hanan vs Maika served its purpose just fine, demonstrating Hanan as a fierce underdog while setting Maika as one of the dominant force and favorite in the tournament. Mayu-Hazuki, Syuri-Suzu and Giulia-Saori Anou were the highlights of the show. |

Mariah had her best singles match against AZM (6/10). Natsuko vs Ami was decent, nothing special. Natsupoi vs Starlight Kid was a little disappointing with how short it was but still pretty good (6/10). Utami vs Mina got plenty of time and delivered (7.5/10). Momo vs MIRAI was a hard hitting affair, enjoyable to watch (7/10). Syuri vs Suzu was great and entertaining (9/10). Mayu vs Hazuki was very good, hard hitting and intense (8/10). Giulia vs Saori was probably my favorite match of the night, loved how brutal this was (9/10). Tam vs Saya ended with Saya suffering an injury and was cut way short, did not rate. The first four matches were all at least watchable, but you could probably skip them. The next five are all good, worth watching. The main event you could obviously skip. Overall, a strong show. 8/10 |

Which means there is no time.) 6th Match: ***3/4 (Utami with long hair again...LOVE) 7th Match: ***1/2 (sick finisher) 8th Match: ***3/4 (Suzu should have won. Match was very good but a 9.30 rating is too much) 9th Match: ****1/4 (Hazuki should have won, awesome match) 10th Match: ****1/4 (Just brilliant) 11th Match: ***1/2 (Although the unfortunate stop, was that a good match. I hope she will be ready soon. She will probably forfeit.) Interesting new debut.. 8/10 |

| 62 | 24.07.2023 | Edge | 9.0 | Mit Tag 1 lieferte Stardom eine richtig starke Show ab, die leider etwas durch die Verletzung von Saya Kamitani überschattet wurde, wodurch evtl. auch der Angle nach dem Main Event etwas schwächer ausfiel. Mehr kann man aber an der Show nicht aussetzen. Der Rest war nämlich ziemlich stark. Das fing mit einer sehr schönen Eröffnungsfeier an. Die ersten Matches waren noch relativ kurz, wussten aber auch zu gefallen. V.a. Mariah May gegen AZM war schon sehr solide. Ab Natsupoi gegen SLK wurde es immer besser. Das war schon ein gutes Match. Utami gegen Mina war stark. Utami trat hier mit altem Look an. Momo gegen MIRAI war richtig gut. Syuri gegen Suzu war ein richtiges starkes Match. Mayu gegen Hazuki war ebenfalls stark. Wie ich erfuhr, war das der erste Sieg am 1. Tag von Mayu seit langer Zeit. Demzufolge vllt. doch etwas überraschend. Giulia gegen Saori Anou kam danach und stand Syuri und Suzu in Nichts nach. Auch hier gab es ein richtig starkes Match zu sehen. Tam gegen Saya bewerte ich durch die Verletzung nicht. Bis dahin war das Match aber auch auf einem sehr guten Weg. Der Angle danach litt, wie bereits angesprochen womöglich auch an der Verletzung. Nichtsdestotrotz wäre er wohl auch so nicht perfekt gewesen. Mich freut es aber dennoch, dass Megan Bayne ihren Weg zu Stardom gefunden hat. Ich finde sie gut und gönne es ihr nach ihrer langen Verletzung sehr, dass sie direkt in einen so prominenten Spot gebookt wurde. Insgesamt war es ein top Auftakt ins 5 Star GP mit einem großen Wehrmutstropfen am Ende. |

The first three PPV matches were short but good, with AZM and Mariah May having the most time and best match of the bunch. Then Poi and SLK did as good as they always do, before Utami and Mina got the first 10+ minute match of the show and did great as well. Momo and MIRAI had a hard-hitting match with a great result, and then, things ramped way up. Syuri/Suzu, Mayu/Hazuki and Giulia/Saori were all 9/10 matches at worst, all perfectly paced and all must see matches that lived up to or exceeded expectations. Even the main event was very good, until the unfortunate ending that put a damper on everything. The aftermath was wonky and ruined the vibe, but even that was salvaged when Utami challenged Mayu for the IWGP Women's title. All in all, barring the end of the main event and the weirdness thereafter, this was a treat to watch. Best wishes to Saya as well. |

Also, people complaining on social media about the angle they did at the end: Did you think they, after flying out Megan Bayne from the US, which is a double digit hour flight, were just gonna turn to her and say: ''Sorry, Saya got injured you'll have to debut at the next PPV in a month or so.'' Like come on guys, let's think with our heads for a second! Haven't seen much of her but I hope she shows out. |
