[5.0] "There was really very little reason to watch this episode of ROH. The only real storyline was yet another tournament to crown a #1 Contender for the TV Title, and the majority of the matches here were squashes. This episode was a perfect encapsulation of what 2023 ROH is: a bunch of matches thrown together with very little connective tissue. The matches may be fine, but stories are essentially non-existent and it's hard to stay interested in a full episode."
[4.0] "Heres the thing; while the matches are mostly decent to good, theres very little in the way of stories or build. The titleholder might get a narrative (though the last one for Claudio vs PAC was VERY rushed), theres very little meat on the bone elsewhere. It makes the show feel like a waste of time where nothing is really happening. I dont blame the talent, theyre doing what they can but until Tony can be bothered to flesh this out, theres little of interest to keep my attention."
[7.0] "Some issues in the last few weeks of ROH programming are here like the lack of the male champs and yet another tv title tournament, but I am actually pretty happy theres a decent bounce back from the PPV. Things feel like they have a nice direction and while I dont know how the stories play out, I at least am of the mind some are getting told."
[5.0] "Well, here we have, once again, one of those ROH weekly without a proper reason to carry on stories, rivalries or good matches to be remembered or what. Without Dark and Dark: Elevation this is the new space for those dark matches. Thumbs down, silly booking."
