The opener starts well but is sacrificed to further an Eliminators Gangsta's angle, Whipwreck v Black is cut on the version of this show I watched. Dudley Boyz and Pitbulls drags on forever. Taz and Devon Storm is below average but isn't terrible, it's not really long enough to get a flow though. Axl Rotton and Little Guido is also fine, bit heatless and didn't care much for it. Too Cold Scorpio saves the Harris Brothers and Sandman match, a LOT of crowd brawling on this show, even by ECW standards. Brian Lee and Tommy Dreamer could be the longest 6 minute match I've ever seen. Thankfully Sabu and RVD have an absolutely insane classic, it'll seem normal by today's standards, but this was streets ahead anything WCW and WWF were doing at this point, a few botches here and there but if anything that adds to the entertainment as they do in most Sabu matches, brilliant finish with the chair assisted springboard moonsault, I've seen a few ECW shows now and not once has Sabu disappointed me. The main event went beyond my expectations, but sadly it still had issues, lots of crowd brawling and brawling in the car park which the cameras didn't pick up on, a lot of interferences, and the match ends on a screwy finish after the final few minutes been dominated by interference, which is bit of a shame (but normal by ECW standards) because Douglas and Raven were actually showing off some very capable wrestling here, but oh well, I guess that's just how ECW rolled. |

D-Von bringt frische Luft in die Dudley Family, das passt. Taz hat natürlich keine Probleme. Little Guido verliert gegen Rotten. Das nächste Tag Match war nichts besonderes. Dreamer gegen Lee geht in Ordnung. Sabu gegen RVD ist stark, genauso wie der Main Event mit Raven und Douglas. Zuvor gibt es aber noch die Verkündung, dass Beulah mit Kimonah etwas hat, aber Dreamer ist ja "hardcore" und nimmt beide. |

Sabu vs. RVD war für mich Match of the Night, viele großartige Spots und ein Finishsprint, da stört das No-Selling, dass auf beiden Seiten über fast die komplette Matchdistanz dargebracht wurde, nicht so sehr. Der Main Event war dann ein ganz netter Brawl, mit dem ECW-typischen Overbooking. Der Angle zum Schluss mit Scorpio, der Douglas einen TV Title Shot anbietet, der dann ablehnt, da der Titel für ihn wertlos sei, hat viel Potential, mal sehen was man aus ihm gemacht hat. |

Zwischen den guten Spots herrscht konstantes no-selling und das ist es, was das Match schlecht macht (**). Insgesamt wirklich schwache Show, wobei Lee vs Dreamer und Raven vs Douglas mit **1/2 die Retter sind. |

Die Brawl-Segmente zwischen den Eliminators und den Gangstas waren unglaublich intensiv und stimmend einen klasse auf den Event ein. (Schade bloß, dass ihnen ein vielversprechend beginnendes Match zwischen Nova und dem El Puerto Ricano zum Opfer fiel). Auch der beginnende Aufräumprorezz von D-Von unter den Dudleys gefiel mir, ebenso wie das Too Cold Scorpio/Sandman vs. Bruise Brothers Match, was inklusive Entrances einer riesengroßen Party glich. Das der Dreamer/Beulah/Raven-Angle großartig war brauch man wohl gar nicht erst zu erwähnen. Schade halt bloß, dass Rob Van Dam vs. Sabu das einzige herausragende Match der Show bleibt. Unter den übrigenen Matches ist zwar kein absoluter Stinker, aber insgesamt sind sie sich dann doch alle viel zu ähnlich. 5 Punkte sind für den Co-Mainer und das exzellente Storytelling der Show drin, aber mehr nicht. |

Ich habe jetzt einige Events gesehen aber leider werde ich nicht von dem Hype angesteckt. Mal zu diesem Event. Das einzig anschaubare für mich war RVD gegen Sabu. Ansonsten kennt man dank der Wrestler jeden Flecken in der Halle. Brawling durch die Halle kann nett sein doch irgendwann ist das auch ausgelutscht. Selling gibt es auch nicht denn wer nach 345345465 Stuhlschlägen immer noch steht kann nicht normal sein. Man kann ja froh sein ein Match ohne Stuhlschlag und Tischbruch zu sehen. Gab es aber nicht. Main Event war dann auch eher zum vergessen. 08/15 Rede und Match von Shane Douglas. Dazu noch die Geschichte mit Beulah war dann auch eher von der Russo Sorte. |
