This was the first time I ever cried over a wrestlers death, Bray was my absolute favorite growing up and hearing the news he passed away broke my heart. Bray Wyatt's passing is basically Eddie Guerrero all over again."

I dont say it doesnt breaks my heart every time I think about Bray and his departure, but this is something completely different. It was a satisfactory fareaway to a future mega-star of wrestling. [7.0] "Tribute shows are always subjective in their ratings. I am glad to see Terry Funk get his tribute too, in what was a hard week losing both him and Bray Wyatt. The tributes are touching and classy. Cody's promo and story about Funk was real and personal, and that is what you want from a tribute. Knights was charismatic about Bray, a tough day i'm sure for the man who Bray wrestled his last match against. The smokescreen and fireflies at the end was special. If this wasn't a tribute show, I am not sure anything would stand out. The "hardcore" tag match was not hardcore, but on its own a solid tornando tag. One of the best performances from Zelina but again nothing incredible. Main event didn't strike me and I expected more. Opener between Rey & Grayson was probably the best of the night. RIP Bray Wyatt & Terry Funk."

[10.0] "Sometimes, its not about the wrestling. Dont get me wrong; the quality of the wrestling was great for WWEs televised matches, but that was never the focus of this show. The focus of the show was to do Terry Funk and Windham Rotunda proud, and they passed that test with flying colours. You would be a liar if you were to say it didnt make you teary-eyed at least three times that night. A special mention has to go to LA Knight, who was given such a massive responsibility in being the public face of the Bray tributes, and pulled it off flawlessly. Like the other shows that weekend, from SmackDown to Emergence to All In, the wrestling community came together as one to grieve and celebrate the two men who were trailblazers in very different ways, and WWE really do deserve their flowers for their part."

[7.0] "If this didn't feature the tributes to both Bray and Terry it would have been another average show, good, but nothing really exciting or remarkable besides LA Knight promo, one of the best of his career. I felt the Terry Funk tribute more like they did it because he died the same week as Bray, so it wouldn't look bad, because you don't see that much dedication in other tributes like Iron Sheik or Billy Graham. Cody Rhodes promo about Terry was really good and I like him better when he speaks in a simpler way instead of needlessly complicating everything and he told a really fun story about Terry. All that to make the most insulting tribute to a Hardcore legend by booking a "Hardcore" match where the only Hardcore thing in the match was a table spot (although the match itself was really good). Rey Mysterio and Grayson Waller had a very late 2000's - early 2010's kind of match, keeping it simple and just presenting some light fun to open the night after the 10 belt salute. Zelina vs Io was also good. The Main Event ended just when it looked it was starting to get interesting, and it was strange to see Finn Bálor losing clean in 10 minutes, but the match was a tribute to Bray and it had to end on a happy note before having the last tribute with the picture on the screen, the fireflies shining in the dark and the lamp in the center of the ring. A really emotional show that I hoped it never happened and we had Bray back by now. I was rooting for him to be the one to take the Intercontinental Title from Gunther and finally see his story with Uncle Howdy take off. Thanks for all the good moments, the characters, the stories and the matches you both gave us, Windham and Terry. Rest easy."

Nevertheless, the show was fine, with decent wrestling and a couple of interesting promos. Since they said the show's goal was to be entertaining in honor of Funk and Bray, I rate them for that. Decent show but there was any good match and nothing really stands out to me."

WWE Friday Night SmackDown #1253, volle Punktzahl."

However, it was a very eclectic show that was not sure if it wanted to push next week's PLE, honor Funk, and/or honor Bray. Having seen better memorial shows in the past, this just felt like it would have been better leaving Wyatt to a cursory mention and pushing a true memorial to RAW in order to have something more in line with giving the departed their due respect. As it stands, this was kind of just a shame. Much like Rotunda's early death was a shame. Unlike the man, this show is best left forgotten."

"Not gonna add a rating to this show because it just feels very odd for me personally to try to put a numerical value on it. Of course there were things that I loved, like the opening video segment and video and the LA Knight promo, and stuff I thought could have been executed better, such as the "hardcore" match and the closing of the show (I wish they had a little more time to really send us home) but needless to say this was a very good show. And it had some enjoyable wrestling on it on top of all that, particularly the Iyo/Zelina match, where they had a very effective, entertaining, and rapid usage of 6 minutes. A very well done show on a very emotional night. Bravo."

Instead, I will laud the tributes to two men who brought greatness to the wrestling industry, from Cody's speech on Terry, to the heart-tearing shots of Wyatt's rocking chair and ending with Wyatt's silhouette on the titantron (the camera work made it look like it was in the ring for a hot second). Also, the LA Knight promo (and subtle tribute to Luke Harper/Brodie Lee) was great as well."

Loved hearing the story Cody told in the ring about Funk and Dusty. RIP Terry Funk. Knight's promo was touching yet powerful. Lovely nod to Bray there along with the main event seeing his last opponent wrestle The Fiend's first opponent. Unforgettable moment at the close of the show with Bray's lantern in the ring. RIP Bray Wyatt. Thank you for the memories."

[8.0] "The show's beginning was so moving and emotional; having the ten-bell ring and the video made me cry so much... WWE did a great job honoring Bray Wyatt. The opener between Rey Mysterio & Grayson Waller was better than expected, but I wouldn't say I liked Austin Theory's interference. The purpose of the build-up towards WWE Payback next week is obvious, but it didn't matter to me. At least it didn't cost the match for Mysterio. The WWE Women's Championship was great but way too short. Both superstars are excellent in the ring; they have good chemistry and can show up and show out anytime. They should have gotten them more time on the show, especially with Iyo Sky's title defense not on the card for WWE Payback. The tag team match was okay, nothing special. They built it like a big thing honoring the WWE HOF Terry Funk, but it didn't feel very special to me. Having Cody Rhodes speak about Funk and introduce the match was a nice touch. LA Knight's promo was so good. It touched all the right spots: honoring Wyatt, speaking to The Miz, and the entire WWE universe. The main event was great. Finn Balor is so good; he can make anyone shine with him in the ring. They had good chemistry, with both of them showing their arsenal. It strikes me odd that they put them together just because LA Knight was the last superstar facing Wyatt, while Balor was the first to face The Fiend."

The tag match tabbed as a memorial for him wasnt quite up to par as a hardcore match, I think it would have been better served as a Texas tornado match instead. Thats really the only blemish I can pick at as the matches were all at least good. LA Knights promo and match with Finn were highlights, Knight was Brays last feud and Balor was where he debuted the Fiend. Great show overall and a nice tribute for Bray."

I watched him debut, reinvent himself, create. For all his ups and downs, he was something to talk about, and when he was at his best, one of the most exciting things in wrestling. I've been heartbroken the past few days. It's going to be difficult going forward knowing that the Bray return I expected and eagerly anticipated is not going to happen. This was a tasteful tribute. I respect that WWE didn't shove cameras into the talent's faces and have them speak while the wound is still raw. I hope his family and friends can find peace knowing he was a genuine, unique talent who was able to connect with people he never met solely through his work. I'm going to miss him."

Everything involving Bray Wyatt and Terry Funk was obviously heartbreaking but besides that nothing else was that good, Rey Mysterio and Grayson Waller had the best match last night and the main event was weird to me, in a bad way. Having LA Knight there speaking about Bray didn't made sense, why not someone else who had a better relationship with Bray Wyatt? Going straight to making fun of The Miz was bad taste in my opinion."

[10.0] "What an amazing tribute show to two people who have touched and influenced the lives of so many wrestling fans like myself, the Hardcore Legend, Terry Funk, and one of if not the brightest creative mind in wrestling history, Bray Wyatt. The ten-bell salute, the amazingly produced video packages, the rocking chair at the beginning of the show, the presences of Braun and Erick Rowan, Cody's and LA Knight's amazing promos, it was all contributed beautifully to such a heartfelt and emotional night and WWE did an amazing job honoring the legends that were Terry and Windham. My only gripe is more of a nitpick, which is the Terry Funk Hardcore Tag Match being barely hardcore at all besides a table spot and Funk's famous helicopter ladder spot, but reenacted with a body instead. It's only a minor nitpick though that I blame more on Kentucky's and Fox's regulations and it doesn't change how heartfelt of a tribute it was to The Funker. But after the end of LA Knight-Balor match, when The Fiend power outage hit and the eponymous lantern that has characterized Bray Wyatt stood alone in the ring, undying, surrounded by the fireflies, I couldn't hold it in emotionally anymore. Beautiful, beautiful tribute show. RIP Funker and RIP Bray."

Leaves Knight and Balor to close this show was the right choice, However i don't think that as far good as it was this show deserve more than a 7."

Bray Wyatt, but especially Windham Rotunda, meant a lot to most of the current WWE locker room, and I'm sure a lot of them, either directly or indirectly, were influenced by Terry Funk. I had a worry that they were only going to honour Wyatt here, but they gave a good portion of the show to remember Funk as well. I choked up seeing Erick Rowan, who's now been on tribute shows for both of his long time partners, and it was emotional seeing Braun Strowman out there as well, who got his start with the Wyatt Family and feuded with Wyatt as well. It would have taken a lot to top the Brodie Lee tribute show that AEW did, but that was an all timer. This in its own right was a lovely touch to two men who made major contributions in different ways."
